SD Gov. Noem slams ‘hypocrite’ Biden as White House plans July 4th fireworks after banning Mount Rushmore event

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) called out President Joe Biden on Tuesday, branding him a “hypocrite” after the White House announced its own fireworks display for the Fourth of July after rejecting her state’s request to hold a fireworks display at Mount Rushmore on Independence Day.

What are the details?

Back in March, the Biden administration denied the state of South Dakota’s request to hold a celebration and shoot off fireworks at Mount Rushmore on July 4. In a letter to the state’s tourism secretary, the National Park Service wrote:

“Potential risks to the park itself and to the health and safety of employees and visitors associated with the fireworks demonstration continue to be a concern and are still being evaluated as a result of the 2020 event. In addition, the park’s many tribal partners expressly oppose fireworks at the Memorial.

“These factors, compiled with the COVID-19 pandemic, do not allow a safe and responsible fireworks display to be held at this site.”

South Dakota sued over the decision weeks later, but the ban currently remains in place.

Then on Tuesday, the White House announced its Fourth of July “independence from the virus” bash, and officials told Fox News that “more than 1,000 guests are expected” for festivities that included watching “fireworks over the National Mall.”

“What a hypocrite,” Noem tweeted in reaction to the White House’s announcement. “President @JoeBiden wants ‘a summer of freedom’ where we ‘mark independence from the virus by celebrating with events across the country.’ Translation: fireworks are fine at the White House, but not at Mount Rushmore.”

The governor also retweeted the Fox News report from her personal account with the message, “Rules for thee but not for me…a long time favorite from the Democrat playbook. @joebiden, why are you being so hypocritical? You’re having your own personal fireworks show in DC, but South Dakotans are told no?”

She added, “Given this hypocrisy, we will be resubmitting our request to hold our celebration at Mount Rushmore on July 3rd. Stay tuned!”

Psaki calls Fauci an ‘undeniable asset,’ but dodges when asked for comment on emails

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki referred to Dr. Anthony Fauci as “an undeniable asset” in America’s fight against the coronavirus on Thursday, but refused to weigh in on the controversy over newly-emerged emails of the doctor’s from last spring.

Fauci has been blasted in recent days by critics who say the emails show he was misleading to the public on a number of issues relating to the pandemic.

What are the details?

A reporter questioned Psaki about an email exchange Fauci had with another doctor from early 2020, dismissing the “lab leak theory” that COVID-19 was leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The journalist asked, “Is that the position of the [Biden] administration and their top health experts that this was not engineered, or is that still an open question?”

“Well, I think we’ve spoken to this pretty extensively from here,” Psaki replied. “Let me just say on Dr. Fauci and his emails — he’s also spoken to this many, many times over the course of the last few days — and we’ll let him speak for himself.”

The press secretary went to call Fauci “an undeniable asset in our country’s pandemic response,” adding, “but it’s obviously not that advantageous for me to re-litigate the substance of emails from 17 months ago.”

Psaki went on to reiterate that the Biden recently asked the intelligence community to “redouble” efforts to investigate the origins of the virus, including the lab leak theory.

The theory has gained mainstream traction in recent weeks, despite several scientists and media outlets calling it a “conspiracy theory” in the early days of the outbreak.

Fauci’s leaked emails were published Tuesday after being obtained via FOIA requests by the Washington Post and Buzzfeed News.

The Washington Examiner reported:

In some of the most scrutinized communications, EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak, whose organization has been involved in research at the Wuhan laboratory at the center of inquiries into the coronavirus’s origins, thanked Fauci after he publicly dismissed the idea that the coronavirus may have been created in the lab. In another, [Fauci] dismissed the efficacy of wearing masks in an email sent to Sylvia Burwell, a Health and Human Services secretary under former President Barack Obama.

Fauci has defended himself in reaction to his unearthed emails, telling CNN on Thursday that criticisms over his exchange with Daszak are “nonsense.”

“You can misconstrue it however you want,” Fauci told the outlet, in response to critics. “That email was from a person to me saying ‘thank you’ for whatever it is he thought I said, and I said that I think the most likely origin is a jumping of species. I still do think it is, at the same time as I’m keeping an open mind that it might be a lab leak.”

2024 presidential election Donald Trump Election 2024 Intelwars Politics President joe biden WHITE HOUSE

Republicans say Trump shouldn’t run again in 2024, but won’t let their names be published

Former President Donald Trump has told allies he will run for president again in 2024 as long as he is healthy, Politico reported Thursday.

But while Republican officials will express support for Trump in public, several lawmakers who did not wish to be named said they’d rather have another candidate without Trump’s baggage be the 2024 nominee. They are mindful that Trump was impeached twice as president, is blamed by the media for inciting a riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, and has a unique talent for causing distractions with inflammatory statements that take the party off-message.

“He’s one of the best presidents we’ve had in terms of policies. But having said that, if it were up to me, I would never have Trump on any ballot ever again because it’s such a distraction,” said one House Republican who is publicly pro-Trump, Politico reported. “I would love for him to play a behind-the-scenes role and not be on the ballot.”

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) was willing to go on the record with Politico about his concerns.

“President Trump did a lot of good. But he squandered a lot of his legacy after what happened after Nov. 3. And I think that’s a shame,” he said. “Running for president, you’re under a lot of scrutiny. And all I can say is there’s a lot to talk about.”

Another lawmaker, who spoke anonymously for fear of reprisal from Trump or his supporters, told Politico, “I’d like to see a fresh face. I think we have a lot of them.”

One name that immediately leaps to mind as an alternative candidate is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. DeSantis swept the field in a poll of grassroots conservatives at the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida, that asked who the 2024 nominee should be if Trump is not on the ballot, earning a plurality of 43% support. The second place contender in the unscientific poll was South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, who earned 11% support, but the poll was taken before she had a falling out with many social conservative activists over her veto of a bill barring transgender athletes from playing on women’s sports teams.

Republicans like how DeSantis has managed the COVID-19 pandemic in Florida, resisting lockdown policies adopted in other states and weathering relentless attacks from the media for doing so. He champions issues that matter to Trump’s supporters like regulating Big Tech companies, opposing critical race theory in schools, and securing elections.

Like Trump, DeSantis picks fights with the liberal media, but he’s been more successful than the former president at winning those fights and enacting laws supported by his voter base.

Still, there are a significant number of Republicans who don’t want to nominate Trump-lite when the genuine article is still available to run for president.

“I’m for Trump, period. I don’t care who else is running,” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) told Politico.

“Why have a carbon copy?” Rep. Brian Mast (R-Fla.) asked. “Why would we not support the original?”

Many Republicans believe the 2024 GOP nomination is Trump’s if he wants it. Other candidates who are widely speculated to be interested in running, like former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo or former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, have indicated they would back Trump if he runs again.

“I don’t think there’s anybody else who would be able to capture the party,” said Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), who himself is rumored to have presidential ambitions.

Meanwhile, Trump keeps dropping hints about his intentions.

After news broke that the district attorney for Manhattan has convened a grand jury to possibly indict Trump over his business dealings in New York City, the former president released a statement blasting “a continuation of the greatest Witch Hunt in American history.”

“This is purely political, and an affront to the almost 75 million voters who supported me in the Presidential Election, and it’s being driven by highly partisan Democrat prosecutors,” Trump said.

“Interesting that today a poll came out indicating I’m far in the lead for the Republican Presidential Primary and the General Election in 2024,” he added.

Black Lives Matter BLM Daniel horowitz Intelwars police reform WHITE HOUSE

Horowitz: BLM’s legacy a year later: Terror on America’s streets

This week, the Biden White House hosted the family of George Floyd to mark the one-year anniversary of his death in police custody. His brother, Philonise, expressed hope that things are “slowly” moving in the right direction and that they are “making progress” in their war on cops. However, what is not going in the right direction is justice for victims of crime thanks to the agenda spawned by their movement.

Thanks to the pandemic and less social mobility, crime has been decreasing in most countries. That is with the exception of the United States. In 2020, the U.S. was hit with another pandemic. BLM’s assault on law-and-order, in conjunction with the assault on incarceration of criminals, has led to an explosion of violence. It’s not just the 108% increase in homicides in Minneapolis, the original epicenter of the BLM rioting. It’s in nearly every major city across the country.

Perhaps gunshots ringing out during an ABC report at George Floyd Square in Minneapolis best exemplifies the evil fruits of the labor of BLM. In all the cities with strict gun control laws, shootings have become so rampant, and they have taken the lives of more black people than any crime wave in a generation.

Here are some of the latest crime tidbits from New York City, once the face of the generation-long decline in crime in America, as reported by the New York Post.

  • Comparing the week ending May 23 to the same week in 2020 (right before the BLM/Floyd effect), gun arrests dropped 24%. Not surprisingly, shootings skyrocketed by 72%. The number of gunshot victims rose by 92.6%.
  • In terms of the major crime categories, robberies were up 44.4%, felony assaults rose 35.3%, murder was up 28.6% grand larcenies were up 41.8%, and the number of stolen vehicles skyrocketed 49%.
  • Nearly every day, we hear about heinous crimes committed on NYC’s subways, with the number of crimes in the transit system up 162% relative to the final week before the BLM riots last year.

One NYPD officer, quoted anonymously by the Post, hit the nail on the head when he noted that “They could hire 10,000 cops, but it won’t matter unless the politicians change the laws and keep criminals in jail.” It’s not just about hampering and even defunding the police. It’s that violent criminals and repeat offenders are able to violate their parole with impunity. So few people get locked up anymore.

The hole in our incarceration is even more gaping than the hole in policing. This is why, despite the temporary addition of 250 police patrols to monitor the subway violence, crime continues to skyrocket. What good are the cops if the criminals just get let out of jail indefinitely for years pending a trial that rarely results in meaningful prison time, if any time at all?

The rise in violent and property crimes is harming all citizens, but ironically, the most violent crimes are all being incurred by black victims. In Atlanta, another city with skyrocketing crimes, so far this year, a staggering 291 of the 311 shootings victims were black, while just 7 were white. How come nobody ever discusses the “equity” issue when it comes to black homicide victims and the need to get tougher, not weaker, on crime in order to actually protect black lives?

The media can no longer deny the skyrocketing crime, so they seek to deflect blame onto the pandemic. But as Nicole Gelinas observes, the crime rates in most other countries actually dropped because of the pandemic, as one would expect. For example, the murder rate dropped 16% last year in London, 14% in Italy, and 2% in France – all hard hit by the virus and the ensuing lockdown policies. Japan saw its lowest murder rate since World War II and even in cartel-ridden Mexico, the homicide rate held steady.

So, what suddenly changed in the United States?

Plummeting incarceration rates, the war on the cops, mass rioting, and the loss of a criminal justice deterrent that took a generation to build. To the extent that COVID-19 had anything to do with the rise in crime, it is the result of the gratuitous prison releases that were done under the false pretense of stopping the spread of COVID-19 in jail.

Recently, Ja’Ron Smith, one of Jared Kushner’s pro-criminal henchmen who convinced Trump to make a U-turn on crime policy, wrote an op-ed calling for those people to be given permanent clemency.

How about focusing on victims of crime for once? Most importantly, such a focus would result in protecting all innocent lives, but as the crime data show, it would help black victims of crime more than anyone else. If BLM set out to kill more black people from crime, I’m not sure they could have done a better job.

US Declares State Of Emergency To Keep Gasoline Flowing After Colonial Fails To Restart Hacked Pipeline

This article was originally published by Tyler Durden at ZeroHedge.

Update 9:00 pm ET:  The US government declared a state of emergency late on Sunday, lifting limits on the transport of fuels by road in a bid to keep gas supply lines open as fears of shortages spiked after the continued shutdown of the Colonial Pipeline.

“This Declaration addresses the emergency conditions creating a need for immediate transportation of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and other refined petroleum products and provides necessary relief,” the Department of Transportation said. White House Press Sec Jen Psaki added that “as the Administration works to mitigate potential disruptions to supply as a result of the Colonial Pipeline incident, @USDOT is taking action today to allow flexibility for truckers in 17 states.”

The move lifted limits on the transport of fuels by road to ease the fallout from the continuing closure of the Colonial pipeline, which carries almost half the fuel consumed on the US East Coast, following a ransomware cyberattack on Friday.

The decision comes as the government scrambles to deal with the fallout from the closure of Colonial, the biggest refined products pipeline in the US, transporting 2.5m barrels of fuel a day from refineries on the Gulf Coast to markets such as Atlanta, Washington, and New York (see more below).

If the pipeline is not quickly reopened the impact on prices could become more severe in the coming days, said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at data provider GasBuddy. “We’re realizing the gravity of it is maybe worse than what we’d expected,” said De Haan. “There’s still a little breathing room, we’re starting to run low on it. But Monday, Tuesday if there’s no news, you know we’re dealing with something fairly significant.”

* * *

Just in case the US didn’t already have a “transitory hyperinflation” problem, gasoline futures soared more than 4% – and are likely to jump much more – late on Sunday after the Colonial Pipeline announced that while some smaller lateral lines between terminals and delivery points are now operational, its mainlines (Lines 1, 2, 3 and 4) remain offline since late Friday after the company suffered a crippling cyberattack that affected its key IT systems.

Colonial operates Line 1 for gasoline and Line 2 for diesel and jet fuel from Pasadena, Texas, some 15 miles from the nation’s largest refineries, to Greensboro, North Carolina, at a combined 2.5 million barrels a day. They merge at Greensboro to feed a line carrying about 900,000 barrels a day into New York Harbor, and other East Coast pipelines.

Colonial said that it is “in the process of restoring service to other laterals and will bring our full system back online only when we believe it is safe to do so, and in full compliance with the approval of all federal regulations.” Full statement below:

Update — Sunday, May 9, 5:10 p.m.

On May 7, Colonial Pipeline Company learned it was the victim of a cybersecurity attack and has since determined that the incident involved ransomware. Quickly after learning of the attack, Colonial proactively took certain systems offline to contain the threat. These actions temporarily halted all pipeline operations and affected some of our IT systems, which we are actively in the process of restoring.

Leading, third-party cybersecurity experts were also immediately engaged after discovering the issue and launched an investigation into the nature and scope of this incident. We have remained in contact with law enforcement and other federal agencies, including the Department of Energy who is leading the Federal Government response.

Maintaining the operational security of our pipeline, in addition to safely bringing our systems back online, remain our highest priorities. Over the past 48 hours, Colonial Pipeline personnel have taken additional precautionary measures to help further monitor and protect the safety and security of its pipeline.

The Colonial Pipeline operations team is developing a system restart plan. While our mainlines (Lines 1, 2, 3 and 4) remain offline, some smaller lateral lines between terminals and delivery points are now operational. We are in the process of restoring service to other laterals and will bring our full system back online only when we believe it is safe to do so, and in full compliance with the approval of all federal regulations.

At this time, our primary focus continues to be the safe and efficient restoration of service to our pipeline system, while minimizing disruption to our customers and all those who rely on Colonial Pipeline. We appreciate the patience and outpouring of support we have received from others throughout the industry.

Meanwhile, downstream customers, which includes pretty much the entire Eastern seaboard, are starting to freak out as they face a new week without the primary source of gasoline supply for hundreds of millions of customers.

In response to the news, gasoline futures jumped 4% to $2.21 a gallon, approaching the highest since 2014. WTI and Brent both spiked more than 1%, while other products such as diesel and jet fuel are also likely to jump.

Should Colonial be unable to bring its main pipeline back online, which as a reminder were hacked by a ransomware group called DarkSide, according to Allan Liska, senior threat analyst at cybersecurity firm Recorded Future, there is no telling how high prices will shoot up as Colonial supplies nearly half the east coast gasoline.

On Friday, the national average stood at $2.96 a gallon Friday, according to auto club AAA, and with national gasoline inventories ample, the pump price wasn’t expected to tick much higher until Memorial Day at the end of May, which is traditionally viewed as the start of the U.S. summer driving season. However, it now appears that we can add gas to the list of items that have seen prices soar. Gasoline last bested the $3 average in October 2014.

Price increases in road fuel may stoke even more worries about inflation as commodities from oil to lumber to corn skyrocket with the world’s major economies emerging from pandemic restrictions. The oil industry was gearing up to meet what is expected to be a surge in fuel demand as newly vaccinated Americans take to the roadways and skies this summer. The downed Colonial Pipeline is a key artery for gasoline, diesel and jet fuel produced by oil refiners on the U.S. Gulf Coast and major metropolitan areas between Atlanta and New York.

“It all comes down to the duration of the disruption. If it lasts longer, it’s likely to result in some location dislocations — shortage of oil products in the East Coast, abundance in the Gulf region. That will support New York product prices and might attract more oil products from abroad,” said Giovanni Staunovo, commodity analyst at UBS Group AG.

One bank that is optimistic on the outcome of the shutdown is Goldman, its commodities strategist Damien Courvalin writing on Sunday that “the Colonial pipeline disruption likely to be brief” while “falling inventories will exacerbate the impact of future potential outages.” Some more details from the note:

With no physical damage to the pipeline, sufficient PADD1 inventories and above seasonal gasoline imports into the region, only a long outage (likely more than 5 days) would materially tighten local supplies. The Southeast region is most at risk of shortages given tighter inventories in the PADD 1C region.

As prior Colonial outages have shown, like in 2016, resupply is further likely to be rapid:

  1. the Colonial pipeline was running below capacity so a resumption of flows at capacity would accelerate the restocking,
  2. Kinder Morgan is working to accommodate additional barrels on its PPL line,
  3. vessels from the USGC and EU can arrive in 7 to 14 days, while
  4. the US administration could waive the Jones Act shipping restriction as well as summer gasoline requirements.

As a result, while NY Harbor petroleum product June cracks and June-July timespreads are set to rally on Sunday’s open/Monday should the pipeline not have been restarted by then, such moves are likely to be short-lived and mean reverting, with the June RBOB contract expiring on May 28.

Not everyone is so sure, and Bloomberg reports that traders are already seeking vessels to deliver gasoline that would have otherwise been shipped on the Colonial system. Some tankers are being secured to temporarily store gasoline in the U.S. Gulf in the event of a prolonged shutdown, they said.

There is some good news: the terminus of the pipeline, New York, was well stocked with fuel ahead of the attack and could weather the upset if missing fuel is replaced or the line restarts quickly. East Coast gasoline stockpiles at the end of April were near five-year seasonal averages. Of course, a lenghty shutdown would mean gasoline shortage the likes of which were last seen in the 1970s…

… which would be poetic justice since price are already soaring at a pace that has surpassed America’s hyperinflationary period, which ended with the Volcker Fed hiking rates to 20% in 1980.

CNN obsesses about Trump’s White House lawn while burying Biden’s underwhelming jobs report

The U.S. jobs report for April was extremely disappointing, and was so shockingly underwhelming that one CNBC financial analyst had to double-check the numbers because he couldn’t believe his own eyes on how abysmal the figures were. CNN showed its liberal bias by burying President Joe Biden’s depressing jobs report, but highlighted a report about how former President Donald Trump left the White House lawn in an unsatisfactory condition.

The U.S. economy added just 266,000 new jobs in April, when there were forecasts for nearly 1 million new jobs. To make matters worse, the unemployment rate rose to 6.1%. The dismal jobs report was arguably the most important news story on Friday…except on CNN.

The left-wing news website stealthfully sneaked the significant jobs report news into its “Trending” section, where CNN literally wrote: “Jobs report,” which gave zero indication that the jobs report was dreadful.

CNN screenshot

However, CNN had no problem giving a story titled “The White House lawn ‘headache’ Trump left behind” prime real estate on the site’s front page. CNN promoted the anti-Trump article at the top-right of the front page. While the economic ramifications of an eye-opening jobs report didn’t warrant a top spot on the front page, the article about the Trump administration not getting the “paramount” upgrades on the property was deemed to be exceedingly newsworthy.

“They didn’t want the noise and, Melania Trump in particular, wanted to avoid disrupting the aesthetics on the back lawn, where there could perhaps be events,” CNN claimed. “The first couple decided to ‘pass it to the next guy,’ said one of the people familiar. That next guy ended up being President Joe Biden.”

CNN bellyached that Biden “has had to meet his helicopter, Marine One, on the Ellipse, the park below the South Lawn perimeter of the White House and just north of Constitution Avenue” due to construction on the White House lawn. The news outlet also kicked up a fuss that Biden “has had to motorcade approximately two minutes from the White House to the Ellipse to depart and arrive, where before he could ostensibly walk out his back door a few hundred yards and board his private transport.”

The liberal cable TV network has struggled to engage viewers in the post-Trump world. In Biden’s first 100 days in office, CNN’s ratings went from 1.2 million in the last week of January to only 749,000 for the week ending April 25. Brian Stelter-hosted “Reliable Sources” and the “New Day” morning TV program had their lowest ratings of the year last week.

Confrontations Defended Intelwars Maxine Waters PBS WHITE HOUSE Yamiche alcindor

PBS reporter presses White House to back Maxine Waters’ call for  confrontations

PBS journalist Yamiche Alcindor questioned White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki over why the Biden administration was not defending Rep. Maxine Waters’ (D-Calif.) comments urging protestors to “get more confrontational” — even calling on the White House to endorse the Democratic lawmaker’s controversial remarks.

What are the details?

Waters sparked uproar over the weekend when she urged protesters in Minnesota to “stay on the street,” “get more confrontational” and “make sure that they know that we mean business” if former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was not found guilty of murdering George Floyd.

Waters’ comments were interpreted by many as an attempt at inciting violence, after Floyd’s death sparked deadly riots and looting across the nation last year. Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) even offered a resolution to censure Waters in the lower chamber, but Democrats were able to kill the measure.

Ahead of Chauvin being found guilty on all counts on Tuesday, Alcindor asked Psaki during a media briefing, “I wonder why the White House isn’t coming to the defense of Rep. Waters given the fact that she is facing an onslaught of attacks by, I would say Republicans.”

“I wonder why the White House isn’t saying, ‘We back what she said about being confrontational,'” Alcindor continued, saying of Waters, “she was obviously not threatening violence.”

The PBS White House correspondent then argued, “There are civil rights leaders saying that’s what civil rights is, to be confrontational, to be active.”

Fox News noted that “liberal” Alcindor in the past has “referred to Waters in a story as ‘Auntie Maxine, a loving nickname by her fans.”

Alcindor’s defense of Waters drew criticism online, with several on social media calling for the defunding of PBS over the blatantly biased line of questioning.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) reacted to the exchange by tweeting, “When PBS is even MORE of a partisan shill than the DEMOCRATIC White House….”

Anything else?

Alcindor has made headlines in the past for displaying favor to Democrats over Republicans.

During President Joe Biden’s first official press conference in January, online critics took the PBS correspondent to task for offering softball questions to the Democrat.

Former Trump aide Mercedes Schlapp said of Alcindor at the time, “Yamiche should be hired as the DNC press Secretary. Compare her questioning of Trump and Biden.”

2024 bid Intelwars Mike Pompeo trump WHITE HOUSE

Mike Pompeo doesn’t rule out 2024 White House bid — even if Trump runs

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Friday that he has not ruled out running for Republican presidential nominee in 2024 — even if his former boss, President Donald Trump, makes another White House bid that year.

What are the details?

During an interview with Fox Business’ “WSJ at Large,” host Gerard Baker asked Pompeo, “Are you seriously pondering a run in 2024 for the Republican nomination?”

“Just like every day, I’m going to go work for the set of policies that I’ve been working on all my life, including these last four years as CIA director and then secretary of state,” Pompeo replied.

“I think America first makes an awful lot of sense,” he continued. “We’ve got to do that here at home as well.”

Pompeo went on to say, “What happens electorally in ’22 matters an awful lot. I’m going to go work to help good conservative candidates be elected, and then we’ll consider whether 2024 is an opportunity for me to go back to elected office or not. I love the fight, Gerry.”

Baker then asked, “If President Trump runs again — and all indications are that he may — would you run against him?”

“That’s a long way off,” Pompeo responded, “I don’t think any of us have figured out what we’re doing 2024.” But the former secretary of state left the possibility open, adding, “We’ll make make those decisions another time.”

Speculation about Pompeo running has ramped up in recent weeks after he traveled to Iowa and made a number of stops at GOP gatherings, in what CNN called “an unofficial but unsubtle step into the 2024 presidential race.”

Pompeo declared on the March 26 trip, “We’re in Iowa after all — the first-in-the-nation primary.” Iowa is the first state to caucus, and the first primary is then held in New Hampshire.

Anything else?

Pompeo also hit the news Friday after the State Department’s inspector general’s office released the findings of its investigation into allegations that the former secretary of state and his wife, Susan Pompeo, instructed State Department staff to perform personal tasks for the couple on the taxpayer’s dime.

Politico obtained the report, which found “over 100 requests to Department employees” by the Pompeos “that are inconsistent with the Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch or raised questions about the proper use of Department resources.”

Examples of tasks carried out by State Department employees for the Pompeos allegedly included addressing and mailing their Christmas cards, booking hair appointments for Mrs. Pompeo, planning non-government-affiliated events and setting up restaurant reservations for the family.

The outlet reported:

Mike Pompeo, in an interview with investigators, insisted that the requests were often small and the types of things friends do for friends. His lawyer, William Burck, slammed a draft version of the report he received as a politically biased “compilation of picayune complaints cherry-picked by the drafters.”

The inspector general’s office, however, defended the investigation, noting that many of the rules governing such interactions are clear, do not make exceptions for small tasks, and that the Pompeos’ requests ultimately added up to use a significant amount of the time of employees paid by taxpayers.

Biden administration Intelwars Jen psaki Kacey montagu Pranks WHCA WHITE HOUSE White House Correspondents' Association White House press briefing

White House answered fake reporter’s questions for weeks before press corps exposed her to be ‘Lego’ video gamer

An online video game player was able to infiltrate the White House press corps by pretending to be a political reporter. The fake reporter was even able to submit questions to the Biden administration through the press corps, and White House press secretary Jen Psaki answered the imposter’s questions for weeks.

An online persona posed as a reporter named “Kacey Montagu” for the Daily Mail, a British tabloid best known for celebrity gossip. There were Twitter and LinkedIn accounts dedicated to “Kacey Montagu,” plus she was named as the chief political correspondent for White House News, a fictional website.

Montagu’s play-acting as a White House reporter goes back at least to December, when he or she set up @WHschedule on Twitter. They repeatedly referenced the “schedule” account in emails as a primary duty. In March, they began sending tweets from @WHpoolreport. The accounts are rudimentary repostings of two sources of information reporters regularly consume: the president, first lady, vice president, and second gentleman’s daily schedules and the so-called pool reports, which are real time dispatches from a small group of journalists tasked with following around those principals during the course of the day and reporting back to the rest of the press corps on their movements and utterances.

The accounts got attention from insiders, who quickly came to rely on their speed and efficiency. @WHSchedule had a following of more than 1,300, including several White House correspondents (some working at POLITICO). The new @WHPoolReport account amassed more than 600 in a few weeks’ time, including some who work in the administration like Michael LaRosa, press secretary for Jill Biden and Symone Sanders, a senior advisor and chief spokesperson for Vice President Kamala Harris.

The person behind the imposter contacted the White House Correspondents Association about being becoming a pool reporter and inquired about applying for a day pass to cover the White House in person.

“Kacey Montagu” was given access to cover COVID-19 government press briefings, but was not called upon.

Montagu regularly sent in questions for the White House press corps to ask Psaki, adding that she wasn’t able to be there in person “due to social distancing regulations.” Montagu was able to hoodwink White House reporters, including from The Plain Dealer and CQ Roll Call, to ask Psaki numerous questions “about everything from COVID-19 travel bans, to coming ambassadorships, to Biden’s reaction to Microsoft being hacked.”

“In at least one instance, a White House official was connected with Montagu to circle back with more information when they had it,” Politico reported.

Some White House reporters researched “Kacey Montagu,” who had a deactivated
LinkedIn account with a profile photo of U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson eating an ice cream cone, and they became suspicious.

During Thursday’s daily White House press briefing, Washington Blade White House Reporter Chris Johnson asked Psaki the question, “How involved is former President Obama and First Lady Obama in the Biden – Harris administration? Is President Biden seeking to bring back the often bipartisan portrait unveiling events at the White House?”

The question was planted by Montagu.

Mediaite investigated Kacey Montagu, and discovered that she “appears to be a gag persona for a former Secretary of State made of Legos.”

“The Montagu website’s
FAQ section describes her as ‘An American Citizen. Former Secretary of State, Mayor, Senator, President Pro Tempore and Speaker of the House,’ and her political views as ‘President Trump 2024, baby! I’m a Conservative,'” the outlet wrote on Thursday.

Politico found that the person behind the “Kacey Montagu” persona was actually a Lego video gamer.

“They believe Montagu’s White House moonlighting began as something to boast about in the online global gaming platform called ROBLOX, where users jokingly call themselves ‘Legos,'” according to Politico. “Within that platform is a role-playing group called nUSA, where people from across the world engage in a mock U.S. government exercise. At one point, Montagu had adopted the role of Secretary of State but resigned from that job after — as they recalled — ‘the [nUSA] President went to war with some U.K. and I thought it was a pretty bad idea!'”

The prankster explained her motivation for the fake White House reporter profiles, “I created them as some fun but also to ensure that people know what is going on — they should be able to know what POTUS and V.P. is doing and I think the account following shows people are interested in that.”

“I love journalism, and I think the press corps is doing a pretty bad job at the moment, so I decided I would ensure some transparency and ask some questions me and some friends wanted the answer to,” the hoaxer told the outlet.

The White House declined to comment on the situation.

Heavy Shelling Is Being Reported In Ukraine As Russian Television Discusses A Possible “Nuclear Strike”

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The Economic Collapse Blog.

A new war in Ukraine would be bad for the entire globe, but we might just get one anyway.  Once the Biden administration took control of the White House, they decided to wage a campaign of maximum pressure against Russia, and Ukraine is one of the key tools that they are using.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky never would have signed Decree No. 117/2021 on March 24th without the encouragement of the Biden administration, and the extremely aggressive statements about Crimea in that document deeply alarmed the Russians.  Even more importantly, it appears that the Ukrainians were secretly preparing a massive offensive against areas of eastern Ukraine that are held by the separatists.  If those areas could have been captured before Russia could react, that would have been a massive victory for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Biden administration.  But the Russians caught wind of what was going on, and that is why they have been sending forces into Crimea and into separatist-held areas of eastern Ukraine in numbers that we have never seen before.

If Zelensky and the Biden administration would have left things alone, we wouldn’t be on the verge of war today.

But now tensions in the region are extremely high, and a major conflict could break out at any moment.  The following is an example of how the current state of affairs is being viewed in Russia

After six years of an uneasy and at times violent truce, the specter of a new war is looming large in Russia-Ukraine relations. In retaliation for Kiev’s recent crackdown on pro-Russian media and politicians, Moscow is staging a large-scale and ostentatious military buildup along the Ukrainian border.

The situation is especially volatile in Donbass, where the ceasefire between the Ukrainian army and Moscow-sponsored breakaway territories has effectively broken down. Both sides accuse each other of provocations and regularly exchange fire, with the casualties mounting among both military personnel and civilians.

Zelensky made things even worse on Tuesday when he urged NATO to add Ukraine as a member as soon as possible

Ukraine’s president has called on Nato and key member states to hasten his country’s membership of the western military alliance in response to a growing buildup of Russian forces on his country’s borders.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy spoke to Nato’s secretary general, Jens Stoltenberg, on Tuesday, and urged for Ukraine to be put on a pathway to future membership to halt the long-running conflict in the eastern Donbas region.

Everyone knows that Russia is desperate to keep Ukraine out of NATO, and so Zelensky had to know that his statements would result in even more stress in the region.

The Ukrainian people thought that they were voting for peace when they originally voted for Zelensky, but instead, he has been a nightmare.

Within the last 24 hours, more shelling has erupted in eastern Ukraine.  According to the Ukrainian military, mortar fire was reported close to the village of Nevelske…

In particular, in the area of ??responsibility of the operational and tactical group “East”, near the village of NEVELSKE, the enemy opened fire with 82-mm mortars, large-caliber machine guns and machine-gun anti-tank grenade launchers.

As a result of enemy shelling, one Ukrainian soldier received non-life-threatening injuries. In addition, in the area of ??the Joint Forces operation, one serviceman died as a result of an explosion on an unknown explosive device.

Even more alarming, video footage posted on social media shows “heavy shelling” near the city of Avdiivka…

Unfortunately, the fighting is likely to escalate in the coming days.

In fact, it is being reported that Ukraine is starting to call up reservists

Ukraine’s military has scrambled territorial defense units amid the unfolding threat of an all-out Russian invasion as masses of fresh regular forces concentrate near Ukraine’s borders, with NATO and United States ringing alarm.

Approximately 100,000 reservists could be called to duty, and that would definitely bolster the Ukrainian forces.

On the other side, the Russian military just announced that it will be holding more than 4,000 “training exercises” during the month of April…

Russia announced the start of mass military drills, ratcheting up tensions with neighboring Ukraine amid Western concerns about the risk of renewed fighting.

More than 4,000 training exercises will be held in military districts across Russia in April, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Tuesday, in comments posted on the ministry’s website.

Hopefully things will calm down soon, because events could spiral out of control very easily.

Earlier today, I was deeply alarmed to learn that there has even been a discussion about a potential “nuclear strike” on Russian public television

However, in a frightening public report, Russian public television “Russia 1” spoke of a nuclear strike. They said about:

“If there is a possible escalation in Ukraine, then a nuclear strike is on the agenda. This will make Americans afraid and we will do whatever we want.”

Hearing that should send a chill through your bones because if nuclear weapons are used that will cross a line that will never be able to be uncrossed.

We are so close to a nightmare scenario, but most Americans continue to be completely and utterly oblivious to what is going on.

A hothead is in charge of our foreign policy, he is surrounded by a team of all-star warmongers, and we are now closer to war with Russia than we have been in decades.

And at this hour, even more, forces are racing toward the conflict zone in Ukraine…

Biden Will Announce ALL AMERICANS Can Get The COVID Vax On April 19

Joe Biden plans to announce Tuesday that he is moving up his target date for all American adults to become eligible to receive a coronavirus vaccine. According to a White House official, Biden is jumping up the date by almost two weeks to April 19.

As fewer and fewer willingly submit to this concoction falsely labeled as a vaccine, the rulers are still going to push until they can get as many as possible to suspend their critical thinking and obey their master.

COVID-19 mRNA Shots Are Legally Not Vaccines

Biden is also expected to announce that the United States has administered 150 million COVID-19 vaccine doses, the official confirmed, putting the president on track to meet or exceed his goal of administering 200 million doses in his first 100 days in office. -The Hill

Are those numbers real or fabricated just like the COVID cases using the PCR tests that aren’t to be used as diagnostic tools according to the inventor of said tests?  Is this just more of an agenda push? Probably.  The rulers want it to appear as though as many as possible have willingly taken this shot to coerce those who are skeptical into doing so.

The new target date comes as the U.S. is steadily ramping up the number of daily vaccinations as they proceed with the propaganda push of more lockdowns and a fourth wave. The Biden administration announced over the weekend that the U.S. hit 4 million doses in a 24-hour period for the first time. Lies? Invented statistics? Manufactured consent?

Considering buried in an article by The Hill, that the Biden Administration can’t figure out how to take the critical thinking and discernment skills away from those skeptical of these rushed experimental gene therapies, it stands to reason that this is a part of the larger agenda.

The Biden administration is also grappling with how to address vaccine hesitancy and convince those wary of inoculations to receive them so that the U.S. population can reach herd immunity.-The Hill

Contrary to What the Media is Telling You, Freedom Does Not Come from a Vaccine

The biggest problem the master has right now is convincing the slaves to willingly take this vaccine so they don’t have to resort to force.  They were able to do it with theft (taxation) but people are finally waking up to what’s been going on. Humans do not need governments or rulers. In fact, they need us. Without us, without the consent, they constantly manufacture, we would not be their slaves.

“Fourth Wave” and A “New Pandemic”: The Propaganda Continues

The propaganda and fear-mongering continue as the mainstream media and ruling class continue to warn of the “fourth wave” of COVID-19 cases.  There is also a “new pandemic” we should all be afraid of too!

White House health advisor Michael Osterholm says that the ruling class’s message about the experimental gene therapies is not helping convince people to get “vaccinated.” Based on the fact that they are admitting vaccines don’t offer 100% protection from getting infected, they are also advising even fully vaccinated people to avoid air travel, close contact with loved ones, and to continue to wear the ritualistic shame muzzle. That’s a problem when it comes to getting this mRNA shot in the arms of the masses.

COVID-19 mRNA Shots Are Legally Not Vaccines

“[The vaccine is] not perfect, it’s not 100 percent [protection from COVID-19],” he said of the three vaccines available in the United States. So even if you give up your body autonomy (one typer of freedom) in exchange for being able to move around freely, you will still get neither. “I would advocate against general travel overall. Our guidance is silent on recommending or not recommending fully vaccinated people travel. Our guidance speaks to the safety of doing so. If you are vaccinated it is lower risk,” CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said this week.

Dr. Anthony Fauci agrees. The vaccine doesn’t work. They can make up all the statistics they want about it being whatever percent effective they say, yet if it’s effective at all, the vaccinated wouldn’t need to be terrified little sheep hiding from the unvaccinated. Their propaganda is becoming less effective because people are starting to apply critical thinking to the words of these tyrants.

Fauci: Vaccinated People Can’t Dine Indoors Or Go To The Movies Still

The hilarious part is that these psychopaths actually think that their “messaging” or propaganda has worked because they have been consistent. “I think the message was consistent, although it may have confused the public,” he said.

Though he claimed a “bright future” could be ahead as soon as this summer as far as Covid-19 restrictions being lifted, Osterholm also warned of Covid variants creating a“new pandemic” and a “fourth wave” of surging cases, though he says vaccines have been successfully combating variants at the moment. -RT

“I believe that, in some ways, we’re almost in a new pandemic,” he told Fox News. “The only good news is that the current vaccines are effective against this particular variant B.1.1.7,” he said, noting the variant could be more prevalent in spreading among children.

The Truth Comes Out: It DOES Alter Your Genetic Material

Whatever they decide they want us to believe is what we’ll see in the news.  Good thing people are waking up to what’s really going on.  We’ve been scammed. This is the biggest hoax ever pulled off and it will continue until we decide we’ve had enough and stand together against this tyrannical nonsense.

Biden administration HYPOCRISY Intelwars Kamala Harris Marijuana WHITE HOUSE White house marijuana White house staffers

Biden White House reportedly weeds out dozens of staffers for past pot use despite Kamala Harris bragging about using cannabis

Dozens of White House staffers were suspended, asked to resign, or forced into a remote work program because of their past marijuana use, according to a report from the Daily Beast.

Young White House staffers revealed their use of cannabis in an official document they were required to fill out as part of the background check to work at the White House. The staffers allege that they were assured by officials in Biden’s administration that recreational marijuana use would not be a disqualifying factor, three people familiar with the situation informed the Daily Beast.

The staffers were reportedly “pleased” that the Biden administration was so open-minded about cannabis.

“In some cases, staffers were informally told by transition higher-ups ahead of formally joining the administration that they would likely overlook some past marijuana use, only to be asked later to resign,” the report stated.

Some of the staffers used marijuana in places where cannabis use is legal for adults, which includes 15 states and Washington, D.C.

However, sources claim that the Biden administration weeded out those who had used marijuana, and “young staffers were either put on probation or canned because they revealed past marijuana use.”

“The policies were never explained, the threshold for what was excusable and what was inexcusable was never explained,” a staffer told the Daily Beast.

Last month, NBC News reported that “past marijuana use won’t automatically disqualify Biden White House staff.”

“Though marijuana use is legal in a growing number of cities and states, it’s still illegal under federal law and is therefore a potentially disqualifying factor in obtaining security clearances,” NBC News stated. “Transition officials quickly identified recreational marijuana use as a potential hurdle for applicants, especially younger ones, in meeting that requirement.”

An official in the Biden administration reportedly said that the candidates who used cannabis in the past would be considered eligible on a “case-by-case basis.”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said five staffers were fired because of past marijuana use, despite the updated guidelines detailed by NBC News.

“We announced a few weeks ago that the White House had worked with the security service to update the policies to ensure that past marijuana use wouldn’t automatically disqualify staff from serving in the White House,” Psaki tweeted on Friday. “As a result, more people will serve who would not have in the past with the same level of recent drug use. The bottom line is this: of the hundreds of people hired, only five people who had started working at the White House are no longer employed as a result of this policy.”

A White House spokesperson said the Biden administration is “committed to bringing the best people into government—especially the young people whose commitment to public service can deepen in these positions.”

“The White House’s policy will maintain the absolute highest standards for service in government that the president expects from his administration, while acknowledging the reality that state and local marijuana laws have changed significantly across the country in recent years,” the spokesperson said. “This decision was made following intensive consultation with career security officials and will effectively protect our national security while modernizing policies to ensure that talented and otherwise well-qualified applicants with limited marijuana use will not be barred from serving the American people.”

Coincidentally, one person in the White House who has used marijuana in the past is Vice President Kamala Harris.

In February 2019, Harris appeared on the New York-based “The Breakfast Club” radio talk show, where she bragged about smoking weed.

Co-host Charlamagne Tha God asked Harris if she is opposed to legalizing marijuana. “That’s not true. And look I joke about it, half-joking — half my family’s from Jamaica, are you kidding me,” Harris replied while boisterously laughing.

Donald Harris, Kamala’s father, was offended by his daughter’s comment about Jamaicans smoking marijuana and declared, “My dear departed grandmothers, as well as my deceased parents, must be turning in their grave right now to see their family name, reputation and proud Jamaican identity being connected, in any way, jokingly or not with the fraudulent stereotype of a pot-smoking joy seeker and in the pursuit of identity politics.”

“Speaking for myself and my immediate Jamaican family, we wish to categorically dissociate ourselves from this travesty,” he added.

Charlamagne Tha God then asked Kamala if she has ever smoked marijuana, and she responded, “I have. And I inhaled — I did inhale,” as she laughed openly. “It was a long time ago. But, yes.”

She said she used cannabis in college, and she smoked the drug in the form of a joint. There are questions as to the timeline of the vice president’s marijuana use, and whether or not she smoked marijuana in college or when she was a deputy district attorney, where she enforced drug laws.

Biden sends dogs home to Delaware after ‘biting incident’ against White House security: report

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden have sent their two German shepherds back to their home in Delaware, according to a new report, alleging that one of the dogs has acted aggressively toward staff and was even part of a “biting incident” against a member of White House security.

What are the details?

CNN reported that according to two sources, the dogs were removed from the White House last week and returned to the Bidens’ private residence in Wilmington after Major, the younger of the two German shepherds, “had what one of the people described as a ‘biting incident’ with a member of White House security.”

The outlet stated that “the exact condition of the victim is unknown, however, the episode was serious enough that the dogs were subsequently moved” home.

Major is 3 years old, and was adopted by the Bidens from a shelter in 2018 to serve as a companion for their older dog, Champ, who is roughly 13. Champ has not been implicated in any incidents, but Major “has been known to display agitated behavior on multiple occasions, including jumping, barking, and ‘charging’ staff and security” during his White House stay, according to the CNN report.

Major, who was adopted by the Bidens from the Delaware Humane Society, made history by becoming the first rescue dog to reside in the White House. It is unclear whether he will return or when. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from CNN.

Champ, on the other hand, is more accustomed to the White House after being there when Biden was vice president during the Obama administration.

What were the first lady’s concerns?

During an interview with Kelly Clarkson on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” last month, Jill Biden expressed her concerns about making sure the dogs were settled in their new environment at the White House.

“They have to take the elevator, they’re not used to that, and they have to go out on the South Lawn with lots of people watching them,” she said. “So that’s what I’ve been obsessed with, getting everybody settled and calm.”

According to The New York Times:

The dogs joined the Bidens at the White House shortly after the Bidens relocated to Washington. Since then, they have been allowed to roam unleashed on the White House grounds and have been given carte blanche to explore the complex. They are often part of the backdrop in Oval Office photos.

In December, President Biden broke his foot and ended up in a boot, telling the media that he slid on a rug while chasing Major and grabbing the dog’s tail.

Dr. Seuss Intelwars Mock official poem WHITE HOUSE

White House official anonymously contributes Dr. Seuss-style poem to Politico mocking Republicans, calling Trump a ‘Neanderthal’

Despite President Joe Biden promising to unify the country, one of his staff members made it clear they are not on board after they took the time to pen a Dr. Seuss-style poem mocking Republicans and stating that former President Donald Trump “acted like a Neanderthal.”

What are the details?

On Thursday evening, Politico published a piece titled, “Biden World gives a shoulder shrug to the raging culture wars,” wherein the publication began with a Dr. Seuss-style poem that reads:

“There’s a war on The Muppets. And ‘The Cat and the Hat!’
But Biden is busy. He has no time for all that.”

The story continues:

Over the past few weeks, Republicans have simmered over the “cancellation” of seemingly innocent family favorites, including the venerated Mr. Potato Head toy and Dr. Seuss books. Glenn Beck has likened it to fascism. Fox News has covered it obsessively. In recent days, conservative legislators have made speeches at confabs and in the halls of Congress, warning about what they describe as out of control PC culture.

An unnamed White House “official” also contributed a Seuss-style poem for the story, saying:

“Republicans may complain, but they’re still in thrall
To a President who acted like a Neanderthal
Instead of coming together, the flames they fan
When they should be working with Joe on the Rescue Plan
Cry, whine, and gnash their teeth as they may
It’s actually the Republicans who are in disarray!”

The poem’s mention of the word “Neanderthal” in reference to Trump doubles down on Biden’s comment Wednesday when he said that the Republican governors of Texas and Mississippi were guilty of “Neanderthal thinking” for lifting COVID-19 restrictions in their states to open their economies.

The Politico story declaring that the Biden administration could care less about it all dropped as many Republicans were already fuming over the “Neanderthal” insult, which White House press secretary Jen Psaki explained was “a reflection of [Biden’s] frustration and exasperation.”

Reviews of the poem were mixed on social media. Some praised it, with one person declaring, “Oh my, That’s Hilarious,” and another calling it “perfect.”

Others were less than impressed, with one person writing, “This makes me wish I was dead. I’m only 31, but I know I’ve lived too long,” and another tweeting, “HAHAHA THIS CANNOT BE REAL that poem makes me more embarrassed to be an American than all of Trump’s tweets combined.”

Contributor Fox News Intelwars Kayleigh McEnany Press Secretary WHITE HOUSE

Former WH press secretary Kayleigh McEnany is now at Fox News

Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany has signed a deal to be a contributor on Fox News, the outlet announced Tuesday.

What are the details?

During an interview on “The Faulkner Focus” with Harris Faulkner, the host announced, “It is my distinct pleasure today to welcome Kayleigh McEnany to the Fox family. We will be seeing much more of her in the future.”

The news sparked McEnany’s name trending on Twitter, but it was already anticipated.

The Associated Press noted:

It was reported in January that McEnany had disclosed to the U.S. Office of Government Ethics while still in office that she would work for Fox after leaving the White House. Fox said at the time that it had been in discussions with McEnany but had paused them.

Before working for Trump, McEnany was a commentator at CNN.

According to a report from The Daily Beast, not everyone at Fox is happy with their new co-worker being brought on board. An unnamed insider likened McEnany to Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels, fuming to the outlet:

“It’s truly disgusting they fired hard-working journalists who did care about facts and news reporting only to turn around and hire a mini-Goebbels whose incessant lies from the White House helped incite an insurrection on our democracy that got five people killed, including a police officer. Post-Trump Fox is quickly becoming a very scary place and quite dangerous for our democracy. It’s not even conservative news anymore. They’ve plunged into an alternate reality where extremist propaganda is the only course on the menu.”

In her sit-down interview with Faulkner, McEnany recalled the “shock” and sadness felt by her and other White House staff on Jan. 6, after a pro-Trump mob stormed the U.S. Capitol.

McEnany notices difference in treatment by WH press corps

She also shared that she has noticed a difference in the way she was treated by the White House press corps compared to how the they treat her successor, President Joe Biden’s press secretary, Jen Psaki.

“I’ll never forget watching one of the early press briefings where [Psaki] was asked about Antifa riots and I believe she said that she hadn’t spoken to the president about that,” McEnany recalled to Faulkner. “They let her move on, whereas if I would have been asked that about violence on the other side of the aisle… that wouldn’t have been an answer that flew, nor should it have.”

McEnany added, “I think the standards are different but the American people are smart, so wise, they see the difference.”

However, McEnany said she has no ill feelings toward Psaki, personally.

“I wish her all the best,” McEnany said. “I left her a note saying that much, we’ve met previously, one time, and she was very kind. So were some of her colleagues in the press shop.”

Apparently, the feeling is mutual. Psaki extended kind regards to McEnany when asked about it during a media briefing on Tuesday. Psaki recalled chatting with McEnany when both were contributors on CNN, before adding, “I certainly wish her the best in her future endeavors.”

Charge COVID-19 Intelwars Media reporters test Ticked WHITE HOUSE

Media ticked over White House plan to charge reporters $170 for COVID-19 test every time they enter

The White House plans to roll out a new policy starting Monday that would charge journalists $170 to take a COVID-19 test every time they enter the grounds, and reporters in the press corps and beyond are not happy about it.

What are the details?

The Washington Post revealed the plan, reporting that the Biden administration is getting pushback from media outlets large and small who are unhappy about being asked to pay the government what could amount to tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege of doing their jobs.

But the Biden administration says the tests are just too expensive for the White House to keep paying.

The outlet pointed out:

Until now, the cost of testing has been borne by the White House. But officials there contend that the cost of maintaining the testing regime for nearly a year has strained its budget. So it wants to shift the burden onto news organizations: No test, no entry to the White House.

Reporters from across the country also expressed their frustrations and dismay over the new policy on social media.

Max Tani of The Daily Beast tweeted, “I think part of ‘bringing truth and transparency back to the briefing room’ is not making it prohibitively expensive for smaller outlets with tight budgets to go to the White House.”

Mississippi Free Press reporter Ashton Pittman criticized the Biden administration for what he believed was two bad decisions in the same day, writing, “It’s GREAT that the president doesn’t call journalists ‘fake news’ or ‘the enemy of the people.’ But between apparently deciding to let MBS off the hook for murder and now trying to make journalists pay $170 per visit to the @WhiteHouse? This is madness.”

Pittman argued further, “Not all outlets can afford that, but on principle it’s antithetical to the free press-public servant relationship to make journalists pay for access.” He added, “We need transparency, not admission fees.”

Some Twitter users hailed the White House’s decision, expressing hope that smaller outlets — namely conservative outlets OANN and Newsmax — might be priced out of attending press briefings under the new policy.

Tim Murtaugh, the former communications director for President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign, explained, “Put another way: A small news outlet with one White House reporter, paying $170 for each virus test, would pay:

That’s a lot for the privilege of covering Biden. Only bigger outlets could swing it.”

White House: Tampa Bay Buccaneers are invited to visit when it’s ‘COVID safe’

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be invited to the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl victory eventually, at some point in the future, when, hopefully, maybe, the White House will be “COVID-19 safe,” but no one really knows when that will be.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said as much Monday when she announced that the champions of Super Bowl LV will be invited to the White House, as well as the 2020 NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers.

“Very exciting, the outcome of the Super Bowl, I guess, if you’re a fan of the Buccaneers,” Psaki told reporters at the daily WH press briefing.

“But we will be inviting – I don’t have an update if it’s happened yet – but I do have an update that we look forward to inviting the Buccaneers, as well as the 2020 NBA champions, the Lakers, to the White House when it is COVID safe, but I don’t know when that will take place yet.”

Future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady led the Buccaneers to a resounding victory over the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday, defeating them 31-9 and earning his seventh Super Bowl ring. The Buccaneers also made NFL history as the first-ever team to host and win a Super Bowl in their own city.

It’s unclear what Psaki meant by the White House being “COVID safe.” If she was referring to enforcing proper social distancing protocols, then it will be up to the White House staff to determine what’s appropriate for mask-wearing, sanitization, and other virus safety measures.

If by “COVID safe,” however, Psaki meant when things begin to return to normal, when for example the government determines there is no need to wear masks, that could be much longer.

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director and top White House health adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci on Monday said that if an estimated 70%-85% of the American people are vaccinated against the virus to “a degree of herd immunity,” then it might be time for the government to roll back coronavirus health restrictions.

Asked for a time frame on when that might happen by Fox News anchor Bret Baier, Fauci guessed that “if everything falls into the right place and we get this under control, it is conceivable that you might be able to pull back a bit on some of the public health measures as we get into the late fall of this year.”

“But there’s no guarantee of that,” Fauci added.

Intelwars Joe biden administration Joy Behar Meghan McCain Questions in advance The View watch WHITE HOUSE Whoopi Goldberg

‘The View’ — surprise, surprise — vigorously defends Biden White House’s desire to get reporters’ questions in advance

It will come as no surprise that nearly all the co-hosts of “The View” vigorously defended the jaw-dropping recent request from President Joe Biden’s communication team to get reporters’ questions in advance of daily press briefings.

What are the details?

It seemed like a big joke to co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who chuckled several times as she opened the discussion on Wednesday’s show and bristled that journalists were “raising red flags about the [chuckle] Biden administration’s promise of total transparency.” She then asked, “Does it occur to anybody they’ve been in probably for three weeks, and they might not [laughs] … have all the answers yet? Call me crazy.”

Co-host Joy Behar naturally concluded the concern from the media is bogus: “First of all, let’s talk about whether they’re actual, specific questions or areas of discussion, and, you know, this type of press conference is not supposed to be gotcha questions; they’re supposed to be informative, information questions and answers — and so it behooves the administration to be prepared to give the correct information.”

Behar added that White House press secretary Jen Psaki “can’t know everything, you know?” and that “the reporters are quite aware of when someone is spinning and when they’re not, and that they would call her out on that, and this administration is very well prepared to say the truth, whereas the last one would just lie and spin and whatever. But you know … I just think that it’s not a gotcha session. That’s what has to be understood.”

Co-host Sara Haines also said the Biden White House’s request for questions in advance wasn’t a concern, emphasizing that it would be “if there was some kind of consequential outcome” for reporters who don’t provide advance questions. She added that “this happens in every administration, and it’s just part of the game.”

While co-host Sunny Hostin said she didn’t like the request for questions in advance, she managed to go on a lengthy breakdown about why it’s actually no big deal since President Donald Trump is finally out of office.

“Let’s face it. I mean, this is a world of difference from what we were dealing with before,” she said. “The last administration was not transparent. It was opaque at the very best. … We’re coming from the Mooch [Anthony Scaramucci], Sarah Huckabee [Sanders], and Kayleigh McEnany! The liar-in-chief … press secretary! So we’re in a whole new world, and so, you know, if the Biden administration has given us — .”

Hostin wasn’t quite able to finish her thought and just settled for, “I think it’s just a breath of fresh air, so the fact that they’re asking for topic areas or even questions, I still think we’re in a much better place in terms of transparency. And isn’t that what we want … from our government?”

But Meghan McCain isn’t having it

As you might expect, co-host Meghan McCain differed from the rest of the panel.

“I’m a Republican,” she began, noting that the idea of the White House asking reporters for questions in advance is “highly un-kosher” and “highly unorthodox.”

“Maybe we are all living in different worlds,” McCain continued, “but I have worked on campaigns, I’ve been around many politicians, I’ve helped politicians — [but] I’ve never once been in a situation where I said, ‘Hey, you as a journalist, can you give me this question for the principal in advance?’ That’s not how it works.”

She then addressed the elephant in the room: “A big part of the problem is that we live in two different worlds of media: We live in the liberal media and the conservative media, and it is known … most journalists are liberal, most journalists are Democrats, most journalists have a liberal bias. It’s just the facts.”

McCain added that there’s journalism school data to back up her points.

Finally, she issued a warning: “If Jen Psaki and people in the Biden administration want to act like this is just gonna be a free for all forever because ‘we’re all finally done with the Trump administration,’ and there’s gonna be a different set of standards … it’s gonna end very badly.”

Barack Obama’s Third Term: Biden Considers Rahm Emanuel For Ambassadorship

Does anyone else get the feeling the Joe Biden’s first term is Barack Obama’s third term? All of the players appear to be the same as it’s reported that Biden is eyeing “never let a good crisis go to waste” Rahm Emanuel for an ambassadorship in this new administration.

Biden is considering former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel for a high-profile ambassadorship, potentially to China, three people with knowledge of the discussions said according to a report by NBC News.  Becoming the United States’ ambassador to Japan is another option that Biden administration officials have discussed with Emanuel, one of the people with knowledge of the discussions said.

The State: Use an Existing Crisis, or Create One

Emanuel has been neck-deep in scandals and corruption since day one as a politician, not that all other politicians aren’t at least somewhat corrupt.  But Emanuel is terrible at hiding what an actual psychopath he is, famously saying “never let a good crisis go to waste” about taking basic human rights away from people.

Brandon Smith: “A Full Spectrum Crisis Is About To Take Place… Public Will Be Completely Distracted While The Elites Push Their Agenda”

Emanuel, who became White House chief of staff when Barack Obama took office as president, has a reputation as a sharp-tongued political street fighter. He is a tyrant who seeks power over others and isn’t ashamed to admit he wants to be the master. If you still think this is a “free country” I suggest you wake up sooner rather than later. Before much longer, we won’t be able to do anything about this totalitarian enslavement of the human race by the ruling class.

Biden is considering Emanuel for a key diplomatic position as administration officials look to fill dozens of vacancies in capitals across the world, with decisions expected in coming weeks.  A tyrant for every position.

Another person familiar with the discussions said Emanuel’s name had also been floated internally for U.S. ambassador to Israel. But, this person said, the idea was deemed unworkable because of Emanuel’s notoriously rocky relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, dating to his time as Obama’s chief of staff.

Abortion Biden administration Intelwars National sanctity of life day President joe biden roe v wade WHITE HOUSE

Biden commits on National Sanctity of Life Day to enshrine Roe v. Wade in federal law

On Friday, acknowledging the 48th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris issued a statement committing to support and defend the landmark court decision that legalized abortion nationwide and work to have it codified into law.

“In the past four years, reproductive health, including the right to choose, has been under relentless and extreme attack. We are deeply committed to making sure everyone has access to care – including reproductive health care – regardless of income, race, zip code, health insurance status, or immigration status,” Biden, a self-described devout Catholic, and Harris said in a joint statement.

“The Biden-Harris Administration is committed to codifying Roe v. Wade and appointing judges that respect foundational precedents like Roe,” they continued.

Abortion rights activists have long sought to have Roe enshrined in federal law to create a national abortion policy that would limit states’ ability to pass abortion restrictions. State-led efforts to pass heartbeat bills, banning abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected, or laws banning abortion after 20 weeks when an unborn child can feel pain could potentially be thwarted if federal law set the rules and procedures for abortion. Pro-abortion activists see these state restrictions as unconstitutional infringements on the right to abortion.

“Nearly half a century later, abortion is a right in name only for millions of people across the country,” Planned Parenthood President Alexis McGill Johnson said in a statement to TheHill Friday.

“As reproductive justice organizations have said for years, Roe is the floor, not the ceiling,” she said.

“Without access to abortion, this right is meaningless. Now is the time for President Biden and our elected officials in states across the country to take necessary and immediate action to ensure that everyone, no matter their race, income, or ZIP code, has access to safe and legal abortion.”

The Biden-Harris statement stands in stark contrast to the policies of the previous administration. Donald Trump, in one of his last acts as president, for the fourth time proclaimed Jan. 22 to be National Sanctity of Human Life Day, declaring “every human life is a gift to the world.”

“This month, we mark nearly 50 years since the United States Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision. This constitutionally flawed ruling overturned State laws that banned abortion, and has resulted in the loss of more than 50 million innocent lives,” Trump said in a statement.

“I call on the Congress to join me in protecting and defending the dignity of every human life, including those not yet born. I call on the American people to continue to care for women in unexpected pregnancies and to support adoption and foster care in a more meaningful way, so every child can have a loving home. And finally, I ask every citizen of this great Nation to listen to the sound of silence caused by a generation lost to us, and then to raise their voices for all affected by abortion, both seen and unseen,” the president said.

Since President Biden took office, the Trump statement announcing National Sanctity of Life Day was removed from the White House website.

CNN bias Dana Bash Donald Trump Intelwars Jake Tapper Van Jones watch WHITE HOUSE Wolf Blitzer

Trump-hating CNN hosts rip ‘disgraced’ president as he and the first lady depart White House: ‘He just looks like a small man’

Given CNN’s nakedly biased coverage of now-former President Donald Trump over his four years in office, you knew the talking heads at the cable network Trump loved to call “fake news” were sharpening their verbal knives even as they popped champagne corks Wednesday as Trump and now-former first lady Melania Trump left the White House.

What happened?

As CNN live video documented the Trumps walking to the Marine One helicopter that would take him to Joint Base Andrews for his flight to Florida, the cable network’s personalities piped up and offered commentary on the moment.

Jake Tapper started things out. You probably recall Tapper a week ago questioning a Republican congressman’s “commitment” to democracy for arguing against impeaching Trump in a rushed vote, despite the fact that the congressman lost both legs fighting overseas for the U.S. military.

Anyway, Tapper seems to like the commentary he gets to spout, as he narrated things as “the disgraced 45th president of the United States” and first lady Melania Trump walked to Marine One. He added that Trump would be giving an “ad-libbed” speech at the base, and “one can only imagine what he will say.”

‘He looks small’

Then Dana Bash chimed in with a Trump observation. “He looks small. He just looks like a small man,” she said. “And that is exactly the way that he has handled his presidency since he lost, and he just has appeared smaller and smaller and less and less courageous.”

Concerning Trump’s decision to not greet Joe and Jill Biden at the White House on Inauguration Day, Bash added that “it does take courage, it takes fortitude, it takes a sense of self to be able to not do this — to be able to get into the motorcade with your successor, to take that ride … and that is not happening.”

Tapper also said of Trump that “he really is doing everything he can that’s wrong. This a textbook case of how not to leave the presidency,” Fox News said. “Whine and cry, pretend that you didn’t win, incite your supporters, stage an insurrection. And on his way out the door, he pardons a bunch of his cronies.”

Fox News noted that Tapper named some of those whom Trump pardoned, including former campaign chairman Steve Bannon. “You think that he couldn’t get any more disgraceful — well, just give him a few hours,” he said.

While CNN commentator Van Jones is no fan of Trump’s, last October he did say Trump “has done good stuff for the black community” and “does not get enough credit” — after which the left, who love to eat their own, attacked Jones.

Well, Wednesday was a different day, and Jones said Biden’s victory — along with the Democrats grabbing control of the Senate — is a “complete repudiation” of Trump’s policies, particularly with regard to Muslims. Jones also made reference to illegal immigrants being happy about Biden taking office after their “babies” were “being snatched away at the border.” Jones forgot to mention it’s a policy of former President Barack Obama’s administration.

Wolf Blitzer’s ‘little’ fixation

Finally, Wolf Blitzer had his say — and seemed to have an obsession with the word “little” to describe Trump, as he used it a whopping seven times during his piling-on speech.

First, Blitzer noted that Trump has a “little bit of a speech” he would give later and said “it looks like a tiny little crowd has gathered at Joint Base Andrews,” before observing Trump taking “a little tour over the city” in Marine One.

Soon he noted Trump’s “brief little flight” that was doing a “little circle over the U.S. Capitol.”

Finally, he offered that Trump drew a “very impressive crowd” at his inauguration four years ago, and now it’s “a little pathetic” that only a “tiny little crowd” was waiting for him at the base.

Don’t they frown on repetitiveness at journalism school, Wolf?

Trump reportedly bans Pence chief of staff Marc Short from White House

President Donald Trump reportedly banned Marc Short, Vice President Mike Pence’s chief of staff, from the White House after Pence did not try to overturn the Electoral College results.

What’s a brief history here?

Ahead of Wednesday’s certification, Trump urged Pence to challenge the results, even though Pence did not have unilateral authority to do so, Business Insider reported.

Ahead of the vote, Pence issued a statement on the certification, which stated, “It is my considered judgment that my oath to support and defend the Constitution constrains me from claiming unilateral authority to determine which electoral votes should be counted and which should not.”

When Pence refused to comply with Trump’s urging, Trump blasted the vice president for not having the “courage to do what should have been done” during the largely procedural vote.

In a since-deleted tweet, the president said, “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!”

What are the details?

On Wednesday night, Bloomberg reporter Saleha Mohsin reported that Trump banned Short from the White House.

Mohsin took to Twitter with the report, writing, “Trump banned Pence chief of staff Marc Short from the WH today, sources tell @JenniferJJacobs, me, and @josh_wingrove[.] Top WH advisers including [national security adviser Robert] O’Brien, [deputy chief of staff Chris] Liddell, and [deputy national security adviser Matt] Pottinger are thinking about resigning after today’s events, we are told.”

RealClearNews’ White House reporter Philip Melanchthon Wegmann said that the move was because Trump reportedly blamed Short for advice he reportedly provided to Pence regarding the Electoral College certification.

In a late-night tweet, he wrote, “CONFIRMED: Short tells me he is not allowed back on White House grounds: ‘He’s blaming me for advice to VP.'”

Short himself has not publicly commented on the report at the time of this reporting.

Maxine Waters: If President Trump doesn’t leave White House, he should be ‘marched out of there’ — possibly by military or Secret Service

Democratic U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters (Calif.) said that if President Donald Trump doesn’t leave the White House by the time his term is over, he should be “marched out of there” — possibly by the military or the Secret Service.

What are the details?

In an MSNBC interview Tuesday, the California congresswoman said, “We want him out, and we keep hearing these rumors about everything that he’s doing to try and stay in. We’ve even heard rumors that he said he’s not leaving. We want him out, and to tell you the truth, I don’t know exactly what you do with the president who has lost an election, and you have a new person who’s been elected to the presidency, and the old president is not wanting to leave. I don’t know what you do.”

She continued, “My understanding, or what I would like to do, is I would like to see him marched out of there. … I don’t know whether it’s the Secret Service or whether it’s military or what have you, but he can’t stay. He can’t claim, you know, ownership of the White House. He doesn’t want to leave, and he’s doing everything possible, including talking about martial war [sic], et cetera, et cetera. We want him out of there. I know Nancy Pelosi is counting down the hours. She told me that also.”

Martial “war,” Maxine?

Anything else?

Waters’ declarations aren’t terribly surprising given the rhetoric she’s spewed during Trump’s time in office. Perhaps her most infamous moment came in 2018 when she openly encouraged her supporters to harass and maybe even attack members of Trump’s administration.

“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters said in a speech.

Earlier this year she also said the Minneapolis police officer whose knee pressed into George Floyd’s neck “enjoyed doing what he was doing” and was out to kill that day. “I believe sometimes some of these officers leave home thinking, ‘I’m gonna get me one today.’ And I think this is his one,” Waters said.

Prior to the election, Waters blasted conservative black voters and said she’d “never, ever forgive them” for voting for Trump.
