Leftist political candidate once threatened to blow up school bus, called children ‘white cowards’ as they fled: court docs

A political candidate in Washington once threatened to blow up a school bus full of children, and when the students attempted to flee the potentially deadly situation she called the kids “white cowards,” according to court documents.

Ubax Gardheere is running for the King County Council in the Seattle area. Gardheere is the director of the Equitable Development Division in Seattle’s Office of Planning and Community Development, which works with organizations on “anti-displacement efforts in high displacement risk neighborhoods, with a continued emphasis on serving BIPOC communities that have been targeted by systemic and institutional racism.”

Gardheere labels herself as a community organizer “focused on policy and systemic healing.” Gardheere, who calls herself a “bureactivist,” says she has “extensive experience in social justice and transformative practices.”

“She prioritizes working in community development and building an inclusive vision with many of Seattle’s BIPOC, low-income, and working-class communities,” her campaign website states. “She believes all humans deserve respect, safety, shelter, and economic opportunity.”

However, Gardheere reportedly did not offer school children respect or safety years ago.

On Jan. 12, 2010, Gardheere allegedly boarded a school bus while it was transporting children to the Chinook Middle School. “Gardheere demanded the driver tell his dispatcher ‘that a national security incident was going on,'” according to a new report from the Post Millennial.

Gardheere, who is a Somali immigrant, began yelling at the children about America’s relationship with Somalia, according to police reports.

The school bus driver instructed Gardheere to exit the vehicle, but she retaliated by saying that she may have a bomb and a gun, the court docs say.

“You need to calm yourselves down ’cause I could have a bomb. Look how loose my clothes are,” Gardheere said, according to an audio recording of the incident described in court documents.

“While speaking with the middle school students, the defendant stated that she might have a bomb and might have a gun,” deputy prosecutor Gretchen Holmgren wrote to the King County court. “When students attempted to escape out the back of the bus, she called them cowards and told them they would be responsible if something happened to their classmates.”

“Several students believed she had a weapon of some kind and many feared for their lives,” Holmgren said.

Fox News reported, “The court documents also say at least one student heard her call the fleeing students ‘white cowards.'”

Gardheere told an arresting officer that she was “prepared to die,” according to a King County detective. Gardheere had no weapons in her possession at the time of her arrest.

Gardheere was hit with felony charges of kidnapping, but worked out a plea deal with prosecutors to get the felonies down to a misdemeanor.

A few weeks after she made veiled threats to bomb a middle school bus with children onboard, Gardheere gave an interview to Seattle Weekly. Gardheere told the paper that she was suffering from postpartum depression after the birth of her son three years earlier.

“She said her mental condition worsened after she stopped in Dubai to see in-laws on her way to visit Somalia in 2008,” the article from January 2010 said. “Then, according to her account, she was nearly raped by someone at the house where she was staying–and beaten up by police when she tried to report the incident.”

She told the publication, “I’m thinking in my head, ‘What can I say or do that will get you taken to jail instead of a mental institute?'”

Now, Gardheere is running for the King County Council. Some of her political aspirations are to replace capitalism with “an economic system that is based on abundance and communal self-determination for communities of color and all people.”

“Our current economic system requires hierarchy, oppression, and extraction to operate and maintain itself,” Gardheere’s campaign website states. “It divides people according to race, class, ableism, and gender, and often treats Black Indigenous People Of Color (BIPOC) people, people who identify as LGBTQ+, poor people, immigrants/refugees, undocumented immigrants and refugees, people living with disabilities, and the natural environment as expendable resources.”

In a recent interview with the South Seattle Emerald, the leftist candidate said a “moderate Democrat” is “somebody that’s adjusted to whiteness.”

Gardheere has been endorsed by State Sen. Rebecca Saldana, a Democrat, who said, “I would follow Ubax anywhere.”

Russia: American “Germ Warfare” Could Kill Millions

A Russian Security Council member has argued that the United States is becoming a major exporter of deadly biological weapons to nations across the globe. Yuri Averyanov, the first deputy secretary of the country’s top national defense body, said the body count would be in the millions if this type of weapon is ever deployed.

According to a report by RT, in an interview with RIA Novosti on Tuesday to warn that “lethal and dangerous microorganisms… could potentially be released into the environment, allegedly by mistake.” He added that such an attack if used against Russia, “would lead to a massive destruction of the civilian population” both within the country and in neighboring states. He also said that Washington is currently working to increase biological weapons capabilities.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has known ties to “germ warfare” so is Averyanov’s accusation out of left field? You decide. Use critical thinking and discernment and look into things.  It’s getting crazy out there, and problems could really begin if people actually face biological warfare against them instead of just a fake scamdemic designed to impoverish and control them.

Tyrant Fauci EXPOSED: Explain The $3.7 Million In Funding To Wuhan Lab

These biological warfare programs seek to weaponize viruses and other pathogens “primarily for military purposes,” says Averyanov.

Last month, the secretary of the Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, also warned about research facilities near the borders of Russia and China, suggesting that they could be used as part of a concerted biological warfare effort against the two nations. “There are research centers where Americans help local scientists develop new ways to combat dangerous diseases,” he said, but claimed that “the authorities in the countries where these centers are located have no real idea what is happening within their walls.”RT

The U.S. along with 183 other countries have “banned” biological warfare, but they wrote the rules, and there should be no expectation that they will follow them. Afterall, they wrote down a bill of rights that is supposed to “protect” the rights of those being ruled over by the ruling class, but the regularity disregard that piece of paper.  So who’s to say they won’t break other agreements?

It’s time to wake up to the reality that government is slavery and we should stop relying on the worst of humanity to save it.

51st state house Intelwars Pass Statehood Washington

House Democrats pass bill to make Washington, D.C., the 51st state

The House of Representatives passed legislation Thursday that would make Washington, D.C., the 51st state in the U.S., with every member voting with their party in the Democrat-majority chamber.

Now, all eyes are on the Senate, where Democrats also hold control but do not appear to have the votes needed to pass the bill.

What are the details?

House Democrats voted unanimously — 216 to 208 — for the bill that was symbolically dubbed H.R. 51 to reflect its purpose in making the District of Columbia the 51st state.

The Constitution mandates that the seat of government be federally controlled, which would require a Constitutional Congress to change. But advocates say H.R. 51 circumvents that need by merely shrinking the federally controlled district to a two-mile area that includes the White House, the U.S. Capitol, some national monuments and other federal buildings.

If passed into law, the rest of Washington, D.C., would become the State of Washington, Douglass Commonwealth, after abolitionist Frederick Douglass.

Currently, residents of Washington, D.C., can vote in presidential elections and the District has a House Delegate, Eleanor Holmes Norton (D), but she cannot vote on legislation.

With statehood, D.C. would have two senators and one representative, further entrenching the Democratic Party’s current power in the federal government given the overwhelming likelihood that the dDistrict remains deep-blue.

As The Hill noted, President Joe Biden “won the District’s three electoral votes in last year’s election with 92 percent of the vote.”

Democrats argue that D.C. residents currently suffer from “taxation without representation,” while Republicans are calling D.C. statehood a power-grab from the left.

This is the second time H.R. 51 has passed the House, and the first time was just last session when it was stopped in the Senate — which was then controlled by Republicans. Now, Democrats see more momentum behind it.

The Washington Post reported that “Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) pledged Tuesday that ‘we will try to work a path to get [statehood] done,’ and the White House asked Congress in a policy statement to pass the legislation as swiftly as possible.”

Despite support from Democratic leaders, the bill faces an uphill climb in the 50-50 upper chamber, which currently requires 60 votes to pass most legislation.

Even if Democrats were able to scrap the filibuster as many on the far-left have pushed to do, moderate Democrats such as Sens. Joe Manchin (W.Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.) have thus far refrained from commenting on H.R. 1.

When asked by CNN about the legislation on Thursday, Manchin replied, “I got so many things on my plate that I haven’t even gotten to that yet.”

Sinema’s office told The Post the senator “does not preview votes,” when asked about her position on statehood.

U.S. & Russia Relations Hit All Time Lows

Relations between the United States and Russia have reached new all-time lows. With tensions between Russia and Ukraine at all-time highs, the geopolitical landscape is getting intense.

Russian Forces Mount On Ukraine Border

The march toward war is slowing, but it’s still on its way.  While de-escalation has not yet occurred, it still could if cooler heads prevail. However, it does not appear that there are any cool heads in politics right now.

After years of deteriorating relations, sanctions, tit-for-tat diplomatic expulsions, and an escalating “information war,” some in Moscow are asking if there even is any point in seeking renewed dialogue with the U.S., if only out of concern that more talks might just make things worse. -The Christian Science Monitor

There also seems to be limited interest from the mainstream media in reporting on the issues between the West and Ukraine, and Russia. That’s not a surprise considering the “vaccines” which are a large part of the overall New World Order agenda are front and center. Is there a distraction from the geopolitical tensions going on? Most likely, but I’ll let you decide using your own discernment and critical thinking.

And there is a growing sense in Moscow that the downward spiral of East-West ties has reached a point of no return, and that Russia should consider abandoning hopes of reconciliation with the West and seek permanent alternatives: perhaps in an intensified compact with China, and targeted relationships with countries of Europe and other regions that are willing to do business with Moscow.-The Christian Science Monitor

“Things are at rock bottom. This may not be structurally a cold war in the way the old one was, but mentally, in terms of atmosphere, it’s even worse,” says Fyodor Lukyanov, editor of Russia in Global Affairs, a Moscow-based foreign policy journal. “The fact that Biden offered a summit meeting would have sounded a hopeful note anytime in the past. Now, nobody can be sure of that. A hypothetical Putin-Biden meeting might not prove to be a path to better relations, but just the opposite. It could just become a shouting match that would bring a hardening of differences, and make relations look like even more of a dead end.”

Hopefully, there will be no major conflict or worse. War benefits only the rulers, as they don’t have to put their lives on the line for their own agenda.

Putin Responds To Biden “Killer” Slur: “It Takes One To Know One”

This article was originally published by Tyler Durden at ZeroHedge.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has responded to Biden’s explosive Wednesday interview wherein he agreed with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that Putin is a “killer.” In his characteristic way of using his wry humor and wit to perhaps lighten the intensity of the situation and expose it as somewhat asinine, the Russian leader simply said that evaluating other countries “is like looking in a mirror”.

“I wish him good health” Putin quipped while noting the US president is probably engaged in a bit of psychological projection, according to Russian state sources. “I say that without irony or joking.” Here’s what Putin said in context:

“It takes one to know one,” Putin said in televised remarks, using a saying from his childhood.

“That’s not just a children’s saying and a joke. There’s a deep psychological meaning in this.”

“We always see in another person our own qualities and think that he is the same as us.”

Putin added that he wished Biden, 78, good health. “I’m saying this without irony, not as a joke.”

“When I was a kid, when we were arguing with each other in the playground, we used to say, ‘Whatever you say [about others] is what you are yourself,’” Putin explained.

The comments were made on Russian television Thursday, the day after Biden’s ABC News interview aired wherein Biden also asserted that Putin “doesn’t have a soul”.

Here’s the key controversial part of that interview that Putin is responding to:

Asked whether he believes Mr Putin is a “killer” in a pre-taped interview that aired on Wednesday, the president responded: “I do.”

“The price he’s going to pay, you’ll see shortly,” he said. Mr Biden recalled meeting Mr Putin, during which he reportedly told him that he “doesn’t have a soul”: “I wasn’t being a wise guy.”

“He looked back at me and said, ‘We understand each other’,” Mr Biden said.

“I know him relatively well,” Biden had introduced the comments with, and added that “the most important thing dealing with foreign leaders in my experience… is just know the other guy.”

Meanwhile, amid the rapidly spiraling relations, the Kremlin had recalled its ambassador to the United States late in the day Wednesday.

When pressed about Biden’s “killer” comments about Putin, Psaki tried to play it down:

At Wednesday’s press briefing, White House press secretary Jen Psaki declined to specify whether the president believes the Russian president, literally or metaphorically, is a killer.

He’s not going to hold back in his direction communications [with Russia]. He’s not going to hold back publicly,” Psaki said.

And further, on the recalling back home to Moscow of the Russian ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov, Psaki said the administration “is going to take a different approach in our relationship to Russia than the prior administration. …We are going to be straightforward and we are going to be direct in areas where we have concerns.”

The Dystopian Bubble: George Orwell Meets Charles Mackay

This article was originally published by Kevin Duffy at The Mises Institute.

“Threats to freedom of speech, writing, and action, though often trivial in isolation, are cumulative in their effect and, unless checked, lead to a general disrespect for the rights of the citizen.”

~ George Orwell

In early December I asked Jim Grant how to reconcile exuberant financial markets with the economic reality that reads like dystopian fiction. He responded,

I’m not sure there’s much distinction. To me, the current form of dystopia is the bubble form. So I think this is the year of the dystopian bubble.

The opening pages of the new decade feel like we’re living through a combination of George Orwell’s 1984 and Charles Mackay’s Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds. On the day the 2020 election results were to be certified in the Senate, a mob from the losing side surrounded and actually breached the Capitol. The outgoing president was accused of inciting a riot, threatened with impeachment, and banned for life on Twitter. Despite the chaos, stocks shrugged it all off and rallied to new highs.

The following weekend cover of Barron’s, “The Case for Optimism,” captured the manic side of the dystopian bubble perfectly. Its editorial staff sees a silver lining in practically every cloud:

[T]his is a market determined to march higher, and it’s not about to be derailed—even by historic mayhem in the nation’s capital. Stocks are rallying on the trillions of dollars in stimulus that may only be accelerated under the new administration. A chaotic political season is winding down, while the economy is gearing up for a postpandemic reopening.

Investors need to keep their eyes forward and look ahead to a Joe Biden presidency: to more-predictable domestic policies, smoother trade relations, and additional efforts to revive the economy. Now might not be a good time to own anything defensive.

Still, Barron’s acknowledges a new set of political risks:

That’s not to say that a Washington controlled by the Democrats…will be entirely friendly to investors. The Democratic agenda includes corporate and individual tax increases, heightened regulatory oversight, and such ambitious social and economic policies as a Green New Deal, health-care reform, and student-loan forgiveness.

With bigger government on the way, what could possibly go wrong?

Making America Great Again

During the first presidential debate in September 2016, citizen Donald Trump trashed the 7.5-year Obama-Bernanke-Yellen bull market, calling it “a big, fat, ugly bubble.” The Fed’s balance sheet has since expanded 63 percent, the national debt has grown 41 percent (tacking on $8 trillion), and the budget deficit multiplied 5.5 times. Meanwhile, US stocks, as measured by the S&P 500, have percolated another 80 percent.

Former President Trump may or may not suffer from a narcissistic personality disorder, but he clearly doesn’t lack confidence. One of the symptoms of NPD is grandiosity; “Make America Great Again” was always a delusion.

While the incoming administration promises to “build back better,” a betting man should expect more of the same; in fact, much more of the same.

Filling the Political Swamp

American politics has been a quasi-one-party system at least since the days of Camelot (1960 election of JFK), with Democrats pushing the envelope toward big government and Republicans offering little principled resistance while providing the illusion of healthy debate, acclimating themselves to the political swamp in the process. The two-party system officially died in 1964 when Barry Goldwater was defeated in a landslide by Lyndon Baines Johnson. Goldwater was the last of a dying breed cast in the mold of the Old Right: an anti–New Dealer with a Cold Warrior streak, a classical liberal who called himself a conservative.

Richard Nixon was the first in a long line of establishment Republicans. While ending the Vietnam War, his administration consolidated the gains of LBJ’s Great Society programs, created the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), and ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act), declared wars on cancer, drugs, and inflation, and on August 15, 1971, severed the last ties of gold to the US dollar. The Watergate scandal ended Nixon’s political career, but it was Goldwater’s threat to back the impeachment process that sealed his fate.

The upward march of statism has continued unabated with some brief pauses to catch our breath: Ronald Reagan was a throwback to Goldwater and Trump perhaps a less couth version of Reagan, each a watered-down version of his predecessor. Neither was willing or able to stem the tide of debt, deficits, and money printing.

Say what you will about Trump, as Lew Rockwell remarked after his improbable 2016 election victory, his most endearing quality is that “all the right people hate him.” The political left and establishment right are giddy over his defeat and both want to drive a stake through his heart and the populist movement he represents.

The 2020 election formalizes the transition to one-party rule in the United States.

The Pursuit of Truth

“A society becomes totalitarian when its structure becomes flagrantly artificial: that is, when its ruling class has lost its function but succeeds in clinging to power by force or fraud.”

~ George Orwell

All (or nearly all) politicians lie, but those on the left take the art form to a new level. To understand why requires examining the mind of the progressive.

After the Capitol breach on January 6, a progressive on Facebook said of conservatives, “We’re going to drag them into the 21st-century kicking and screaming if we have to.” The Left envisions a socialist utopia, the inevitable slope of human progress. Their role is to bring this about by any means necessary…and to run things, of course. Truth is a fuzzy concept, only to be bent and twisted to serve the state. Justice does not apply to the individual, but instead becomes an arbitrary concept used to advance the state under cover of the “common good” or “social justice.”

Progressives tend to deny objective truth yet hold the belief that central planners know what’s best for the rest of us. But how can they know without the existence of truth? Orwell referred to such holding of two contradictory ideas at the same time as “doublethink.” Another example is the notion that political power ought to be concentrated and wealth dispersed. Democracy is yet a third example: the people are seen as ignorant rubes but can be relied on to choose omniscient and caring rulers. Democracy was as feared as monarchy by the founders, another reason why the Left is tearing down statues and obliterating history.

Capitol Breach

“The people will believe what the media tell them they believe.”

~ George Orwell

What exactly happened in Washington, DC on January 6?

Whenever a major event like this takes place that attracts national attention, I go through a process: What can be proven with minimal effort and a high degree of certainty? What is highly suspicious, but harder to prove? Who benefits? Who is willing to bend the truth to promote their agenda? (The study of history follows a similar process.)

Did President Trump incite a riot? This should be the easiest question to answer, yet received the least scrutiny. The media simply repeated the accusation over and over with little evidence until it became accepted as truth.

In the initial rush to judgment, how many people actually took the time to listen to Trump’s speech? Ann Althouse, an emerita professor of University of Wisconsin Law School, read the full transcript and listed the seven most violence-inciting statements. Ranked #1:

Together we are determined to defend and preserve government of the people, by the people and for the people.

Trump mentioned the Capitol just three times in a speech that lasted an hour and thirteen minutes, including:

I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.

Is this why Trump’s allegedly incendiary tweets were so quickly erased? Once the Capitol trespassers went home, why not put the incriminating evidence back up for all to see?

Other questions are more difficult to answer with hard proof. Was the election stolen? Was the Capitol breach a false flag operation? There is plenty of evidence in support, but the left media has no interest in following leads that don’t fit their narrative. Standard practice is to either dismiss promoters of such theories as conspiracy nuts or repeat the lie that the claims have been disproven.

During his speech at The Ellipse in DC, Trump spent a good half hour going over his allegations of election fraud and unlawful behavior from states in their rush to set up mail-in voting. My father is a constitutional expert (five years a regular on a weekly radio show on the subject). After countless hours of research, he felt the Trump legal team had a strong case, especially regarding Pennsylvania Act 77’s conflict with the Pennsylvania Constitution.

These claims never saw the light of day, consumed by the political swamp. If the Democrats were so certain there was no impropriety, why not give Trump’s baseless charges a hearing? The last opportunity for Republicans to air their grievances was at the election certification on January 6, conveniently interrupted by the mayhem in the Capitol that day.

“Applying the classic legal question ‘cui bono?’ (‘who benefits?’), it is clear that Democrats, anti-Trump establishment Republicans, the leftist media, and TDS-sufferers all are victorious,” observed Lew Rockwell.

Projection

In The Road Less Traveled, author Scott Peck claimed that mental illness consists of “an interlocking system of lies we have been told and lies we have told ourselves.” As those on the political left become further empowered and unhinged from reality, they increasingly make Freudian slips, accidentally revealing their methods and intentions. After the events of January 6, president-elect Biden accused Trump’s acolytes of the Big Lie over election fraud, even citing Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels. “The degree to which [a lie] becomes corrosive is in direct proportion to the number of people who say it,” Biden explained.

Psychological projection is the Big Reveal.

Big Brother

“We know where you are. We know where you’ve been. We can more or less know what you’re thinking about.”

~ Eric Schmidt, Google CEO, 2001–11

In the lead-up to the election, Facebook and Twitter censored conservative users, forcing them to leave in droves for alternative platforms like Parler. According to CNN Business, “The platform became the most downloaded app on the weekend of November 8—the day major media outlets called the election for Joe Biden.” A month later Parler had 2.3 million active users which exploded to 15 million after the Capitol breach. (Twitter reported 187 million daily active users as of September 30.)

Twitter initially put Trump’s account in the penalty box for twelve hours but two days later banned him permanently. That weekend brought a wave of purges from social media companies in which Twitter suspended seventy thousand “far-right” accounts. Parler shot to #1 in Apple’s App Store on Saturday but by Sunday evening had been kicked off the Apple and Android (owned by Google) platforms. Meanwhile, Amazon suspended its cloud hosting services, effectively turning out the lights.

“Don’t Be Evil”

How did Silicon Valley, which was largely apolitical and libertarian-leaning during the personal computer and networking waves of the 1980s and 1990s, become a virtual appendage of the surveillance state in a single generation?

From the turn of the millennium, the internet has been an incredibly disruptive force, replacing the old personal computer-centric tech trees with aggressive young saplings in online search, e-commerce, social media, cloud computing, etc. The new generation of founders leaned much further to the left and became fabulously wealthy, especially during the liquidity-driven bull market of the past twelve years.

Envy was also a factor. Microsoft had been relentlessly accused by competitors of acting “unfairly” and being a monopolist, leading to a landmark antitrust case in 1998 brought by the Department of Justice. Bill Gates quickly learned that sending an army of lobbyists to Washington, DC was well worth the investment. Today, Big Tech is a major contributor to political campaigns (overwhelmingly funding Democrats).

A third factor was the war on terror, whose fuse was lit on September 11, 2001. According to Ron Paul,

“Big Tech” long ago partnered with the Obama/Biden/Clinton State Department to lend their tools to US “soft power” goals overseas. Whether it was ongoing regime change attempts against Iran, the 2009 coup in Honduras, the disastrous US-led coup in Ukraine, “Arab Spring,” the destruction of Syria and Libya, and so many more, the big US tech firms were happy to partner up with the State Department and US intelligence to provide the tools to empower those the US wanted to seize power and to silence those out of favor.

In short, US government elites have been partnering with “Big Tech” overseas for years to decide who has the right to speak and who must be silenced. What has changed now is that this deployment of “soft power” in the service of Washington’s hard power has come home to roost.

Big Trees Fall Hard

Will the technology forest rejuvenate itself as it has so many times in the past? Jeff Deist, president of the Mises Institute, sees green shoots:

The underlying ideology, the impulse towards freedom which includes free communications and speech, is not so easily quashed. And for that reason, I’m actually quite optimistic about a highly decentralized future where we don’t have these huge gatekeepers like Google search, or Amazon Web Services, or Facebook and Twitter and Instagram as the only big 800 lb. gorillas in social media.

The business models of the tech giants could be in for a rude awakening. Huge swaths depend on trust, especially social media and cloud services. If censorship and cancel culture intensify, privacy will become a growing issue!

As a Big Tech contact tells me, the free market is already working to solve this problem:

Tim Berners Lee [known as the inventor of the World Wide Web] is well on his way to creating a Facebook called MeWe that is social media with paywall communities, no bots, no censorship other than by a channel owner. Dave Rubin has his own version called Locals.com that is backed by Peter Thiel protégé and Palantir CEO Joe Lonsdale. Tulsi Gabbard just announced a channel, joining Andy Ngo, Scott Adams and WalkAway star Karlyn Borysenko.

Talent will increasingly leave the rotting mature trees for vibrant saplings that offer creative freedom and opportunity:

I think there will be a financial price to pay for Twitter and Facebook if these alt platforms can keep a connection open. Already the CEO of Gab said that he had thousands of Silicon Valley insiders from high level executives to engineering talent contacting him asking him for a position. Gab is not reliant on any of the big cloud providers.

If high profile engineers and business people in Big Tech companies see this as the final straw then there will be internal pressure on those companies. It could be in the form of open dissent as pressure to reform or just silently leaving for a non-woke company.

I think there is a lot of pent up frustration at the wokesters who have ruled the roost for the past 12 years and we may see a talent drain which some smart and wealthy financiers will see as an opportunity to make a move and seize market share or start some cool new thing. This is the early innings of a shift that may turn out to be a second chance for those of us who have spent the past 10–12 years suffocating in the wokester’s soft tyranny of many software companies.

Promoting the state’s false narratives can be quite destructive to a company’s brand. College and professional sports in the US learned that lesson the hard way as they backed the BLM movement last year, only to see ratings plummet. “Get woke, go broke” has become a rallying cry of departing fans.

As I wrote last November, “Nature works against bigness. Species exhaust food sources, monopolies invite competition, empires spread themselves thin.” Big Tech appears to be destroying itself from within, a victim of its own hubris and toxic culture. Worse, it has tied its fortunes to the most termite-infested sequoia in the forest: the state.

By Hatchet, Axe, and Saw

Do the tech behemoths need to be regulated or broken up? Many think so, notably many who lack faith in markets.

According to Eric Savitz, who writes the Tech Trader column for Barron’s, “president-elect Biden, like Trump, has called for the elimination of Section 230 [the clause in the Communications Decency Act of 1996 which provides immunity from third-party content for website publishers].”

This would have a chilling effect on protected speech online and build a protective moat around the tech giants by drowning their upstart competitors in red tape and potential legal liability.

Interventions will only impede the market. As intellectual property lawyer Stephan Kinsella warns, “The only just solution is to shame them and build alternatives.”

Conclusion

So far, investors are unfazed by the growing number of black swans lining up against Big Tech. Since the Capitol breach, Twitter’s stock has taken a 10 percent haircut, while Facebook has rallied. With $3.7 trillion in market cap at stake at Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, and Google (10 percent of the S&P 500), could a lurch to the political left unwittingly pop the everything bubble?

As Charles Mackay so wisely stated 180 years ago,

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

‘An act of domestic terrorism’: Olympia officials condemn leftist militants who used hatchets, knives, batons to take over hotel

Officials in Olympia, Washington, have condemned leftist militants who used hatchets, knives, and batons to forcibly take over a downtown hotel Sunday.

And Mayor Cheryl Selby went so far as to call their actions “an act of domestic terrorism,” the Olympian reported.

What’s the background?

Those inside the Red Lion hotel began calling 911 around 11 a.m., saying a group was attempting to forcibly take over the hotel, the city’s statement said. The group members were dressed in black and were threatening staff, KING-TV reported, citing court documents. Police were told that the employees felt threatened by the group — and the station said an employee was assaulted but didn’t suffer injuries.

The group was identified as Oly Housing Now, a homeless activist outfit, and its members had gas masks, helmets, and goggles, apparently in preparation for a confrontation, the statement noted. Police estimated about 45 members of the group were inside and outside the hotel. The group had occupied the fourth and fifth floors and were placing black tarps on the windows as police arrived, cops told KING.

At the time of the occupation, about 40 hotel rooms were booked with guests — and those guests sheltered in their rooms during the occupation, the statement said. Hotel employees sheltered in the basement through the afternoon and part of the evening.

But before the occupation, a woman identified as its leader booked 20 hotel rooms saying they were for a wedding party, KING reported, citing court documents — which also said the takeover was meant to pressure the city to provide housing for homeless people staying in those booked rooms.

“We were going to say we’re not leaving and see if we could get FEMA or whoever to start putting out and getting us housing,” Chris Alford — one of those staying in the rooms — told KING. She added to the station that people she did not know paid for them.

Police added to the station that a Thurston County judge granted a search warrant for first-degree burglary, trespassing, and conspiracy to commit burglary. By 6:30 p.m., Olympia police with the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office and Washington State Patrol’s SWAT team entered the hotel and began making arrests, KING reported.

Here are a pair of clips showing the action outside the hotel. (Content warning: Language):

The station said the SWAT team conducted a room-by-room search and employees and guests were escorted safely out of the building.

Ten people were arrested Sunday night, KING said, citing police — who previously reported that 12 had been arrested. Seven of them appeared before a judge Monday and faced a number of charges including burglary and assault, the station said, citing court documents.

What did city officials have to say about the occupation?

City council member Dani Madrone said at Tuesday’s meeting that she was “appalled” by the hotel occupation, the Olympian reported, adding that others used words such as “reckless,” “uninformed,” and “infuriating.”

Council member Renata Rollins — who advocates for homeless people — called the group’s actions “short-sighted, ego-driven, and counterproductive,” the paper said.

“The group’s demands made no sense,” she also said, the Olympian noted. “They read like they were copied and pasted from some other community’s struggle because whoever penned them had no context for what’s actually going on in Olympia and Thurston County. This wasn’t activism; this was nihilism. And it caused so much unnecessary preventable harm.”

Mayor Selby said the occupation organizers “exploited and victimized the very group they claim to want to help” and “should be held accountable to the furthest extent of the law,” the paper reported.

“This created an active crime scene that necessitated a police response appropriate to the scale of the actions of these terrorists,” she added, according to the Olympian.

Homeless activist violence Intelwars Leftist fascism Olympia Washington watch

Leftist militants armed with hatchets, knives, batons take over hotel in radical hub of Olympia, Washington — and SWAT is called in

Several dozen leftist militants armed with hatchets, knives, and batons forcibly took over a hotel in the radical hub otherwise known as Olympia, Washington, Sunday.

What are the details?

Those inside the Red Lion hotel began calling 911 around 11 a.m., saying a group was attempting to forcibly take over the hotel, the city’s statement said. Police were told that the employees felt threatened by the group and that an employee allegedly was assaulted.

The group was identified as Oly Housing Now, a homeless activist group, and its members had gas masks, helmets, and goggles, apparently in preparation for a confrontation, the statement noted. Police estimated about 45 members of the group were inside and outside the hotel.

At the time of the occupation, approximately 40 hotel rooms were booked with bystanders — and those guests sheltered in their rooms during the occupation, the statement said. Hotel employees sheltered in the basement through the afternoon and part of the evening.

But before the occupation, the group had reserved 17 rooms occupied by homeless people. The group had occupied the 4th and 5th floors and were placing black tarps on the windows as police arrived, cops told KING-TV.

As of Sunday night, 12 people had been arrested, the station said, adding that the SWAT team conducted a room-by-room search and employees and guests were escorted safely out of the building.

The city’s statement noted that the homeless people in the hotel rooms were directed to social services and won’t be allowed to stay at the hotel.

“Making sure our unhoused residents have access to safe and affordable housing has been Olympia’s priority for more than a decade,” Mayor Cheryl Selby said. “Olympia has led on responding to homelessness, on coordinating shelter and other basic needs. The tactics used today by Oly Housing Now are unproductive and won’t make the mission more attainable.”

Biden administration Employment security department Gov inslee Intelwars Jay Inslee Joe Biden President Biden Suzanne levine Suzi levine Washington

Biden’s labor agency appointee previously led Washington department that lost $600 million in unemployment checks to Nigerian fraud scheme

The Biden administration will tap Suzi LeVine to join the Labor Department as interim political head of the Employment and Training Administration, Bloomberg reported. Starting on Monday, LeVine will “lead the federal sub-agency office that helps states manage unemployment benefits,” according to the Seattle Times. Previously, LeVine was the commissioner of the Washington state Employment Security Department, which under her watch fell victim to a Nigerian fraud scam that lost hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars.

LeVine admitted last May that “hundreds of millions of dollars” had been defrauded by international scammers.

“Impostors have used the stolen information of tens of thousands of people in the state to fraudulently receive hundreds of millions of dollars in unemployment benefits,” according to Oregon Public Broadcasting.

The Nigerian fraud ring called “Scattered Canary” utilized stolen information of Washington residents from previous data breaches, such as the 2017 Equifax breach, to file for unemployment. The ESD allegedly attempted to rush out unemployment checks and didn’t do enough to verify the identities of the recipients.

The results of an audit of LeVine’s Employment Security Department were released in December, which found that the ESD’s “known and suspected” fraud loss was about $600 million from over 122,000 fraudulent claims as of June 30, 2020. The government was able to recover $250 million of the missing funds, but Nigerian fraudsters were able to pocket $350.9 million.

“As part of its annual audit of the state’s financial statements, the Office of the Washington State Auditor found that the Employment Security Department (ESD) did not have adequate internal controls to prevent the fraud,” the audit stated. “The Department also reported inaccurate fraud and recovery numbers for the state’s financial statements.”

“The elimination in March of the ‘waiting week,’ time ESD typically would use to verify eligibility for benefits,” the report read.

The removal of the “waiting week” was reportedly at the request of Gov. Jay Inslee (D), which made it difficult for the ESD to verify unemployment claims with employers before the checks were mailed out.

“This fraud is a source of major concern for the public, legislators, and the media – all of whom are considered users of these financial statements,” auditor Pat McCarthy said. “Additionally, these funds were given to the state to use for the benefit of Washingtonians. The financial statements should be transparent about what happened.”

LeVine was appointed to her ESD position by Inslee.

The Seattle Times revealed LeVine’s close ties to the Democratic Party:

Critics have also noted that LeVine, who worked at Microsoft and Expedia and served as U.S. ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein for three years in the Obama administration, is a longtime player in Democratic politics.

The LeVines gave more than $400,000 to the Biden campaign and other Democratic causes in 2019 and 2020, according to federal campaign records.

In 2017, the LeVines were appointed as deputy national finance chairs for the Democratic National Committee, according to its website.

Fox News noted that LeVine’s new position “would put her at the front of President Biden’s economic recovery plan,” adding, “With an annual budget of roughly $9 billion — about three-quarters of overall Labor Department dollars, the ETA will have a key role in patching up the scarce labor market.”

Intelwars police brutality Protests Tacoma Washington

VIDEO: Tacoma police vehicle plows through crowd, officer placed on leave

A Tacoma Police officer has been temporarily placed on leave after plowing through a crowd in Washington state. The dramatic and graphic scene was captured on video.

Tacoma Police were responding to a “car meet” that allegedly got “out of control.” Video shows cars doing “burnouts” and “donuts” in the middle of an intersection. The car meet had “approximately 100 people present blocking the intersection when officers arrived on scene,” the Tacoma Police said in a press release.

At one point, one of the vehicles doing donuts appears to hit an onlooker.

(Content Warning: Graphic content):

“Tacoma Police officers responding to the location began clearing the intersection of vehicles and people for the safety of those gathered and people trying to use the street,” the police department stated.

The Tacoma Police Department statement said the crowd surrounded the vehicle, and people “hit the body of the police vehicle and its windows as the officer was stopped in the street.”

“The officer, fearing for his safety, tried to back up, but was unable to do so because of the crowd,” the press release said. “The officer had his lights and sirens activated. While trying to extricate himself from an unsafe position, the officer drove forward striking one individual and may have impacted others.”

Videos from the scene of the incident show the stopped police SUV and the crowd gathered around it. Then the police vehicle accelerates forward, plowing into the crowd. The vehicle knocks several people to the ground, and one man is seen in the video being run over by the front and rear tires.

(Content Warning: Graphic content):

One person sustained a laceration from the incident and was transported to a local hospital. The police were unaware of the person’s condition.

City Manager Elizabeth Pauli told the News Tribune that the officer driving the vehicle would be placed on leave. The investigation has been turned over to the Pierce County Force Investigation Team.

“I am concerned that our department is experiencing another use of deadly force incident,” interim Tacoma Police Chief Mike Ake said. “I send my thoughts to anyone who was injured in tonight’s event, and am committed to our Department’s full cooperation in the independent investigation and to assess the actions of the department’s response during the incident.”

Bitcoin centralized banking COVID-19. scamdeic Economy elitists Federal Reserve government is slavery Headline News Hoax hyperinflation Intelwars Janey Whiteside Monetary Policy Money Creation plandemicm destroy the middle class political parasites Politicians POVERTY pyramid ruling class Statistics Sven Heinrich taxation is theft Washington wealth gap working class poor

“655 people have $4 trillion in wealth. 200 million can’t cover a $1000 expense.”

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The Economic Collapse Blog.

The COVID pandemic has caused the gap between the ultra-wealthy and the rest of us to grow larger than it ever has been before.  Thanks to the hyperinflationary policies of the Federal Reserve and our politicians in Washington, stock prices have soared to unprecedented heights in recent months.  This pushed the wealth of the uber-rich to dizzying heights, but for the rest of the country, 2020 was an unmitigated nightmare.

As I have discussed previously, one survey found that 2020 was a “personal financial disaster” for 55 percent of all Americans.  More than 110,000 restaurants shut down permanently last year, Americans filed more than 70 million claims for unemployment benefits, and tens of millions are potentially facing eviction in 2021.  But even though we are mired in the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression of the 1930s, those at the very top of the economic pyramid are laughing all the way to the bank.

Earlier today, I came across a tweet from Sven Heinrich that really struck an emotional chord with me…

655 people have $4 trillion in wealth.

200 million can’t cover a $1000 expense.

I certainly don’t have any problem with people gaining wealth by working extremely hard and making society a better place in the process.

But most of the people at the very top of the economic pyramid only increased their wealth in 2020 because the powers that be decided to open up the firehoses and rain obscene amounts of money on them.

That isn’t right.

As a result of the deeply flawed policies that were implemented because of the COVID pandemic, the gap between “gains in financial assets and the health of the economy” was the largest ever recorded last year…

But as stock market indexes staged a huge rebound from the lows seen in March when the pandemic first hit, the gap between the wealthy and the poor extended an already widening trend to historic proportions.

A report via BofA Global Research published on Friday notes that a measure of the differential between gains in financial assets and the health of the economy hit a record at 6.3X in 2020.

My regular readers are probably sick and tired of hearing me say that the stock market has become completely divorced from economic reality, and now we have a hard number which backs up what I have been saying all along.

As I write this article, the Dow is sitting just above 31,000, and that is utterly absurd.

If the Dow were to fall to 15,000 it would still be overvalued.

Meanwhile, a brand new survey has discovered that only 39 percent of all Americans “would be able to cover an unexpected $1,000 expense”

Just 39% of Americans would be able to cover an unexpected $1,000 expense, according to a new report from Bankrate.com.

That’s down from 2020, when 41% of people said they could cover a $1,000 cost with their savings.

If only 39 percent of Americans currently have enough money for such an unexpected expense, that means that 61 percent of Americans do not.

According to Google, the current population of the U.S. is 328 million, and 61 percent of 328 million is just over 200 million.

So that is where Sven Heinrich got that figure from.

200 million of us have so little money that we are just barely scraping by from month to month.

And according to one of Walmart’s top executives, many of their customers do not expect “any kind of speedy recovery”

Walmart Chief Customer Officer Janey Whiteside said Tuesday that many of its shoppers don’t expect the economy to quickly bounce back from the coronavirus pandemic.

Almost half of customers surveyed in November told Walmart that they were worried about the current health of the economy, she said when speaking at the virtual National Retail Federation conference. She said 40% said they didn’t expect “any kind of speedy recovery.”

Unfortunately, those that are pessimistic about how the U.S. economy will perform in 2021 are right on target.

It is going to be a very painful year.

Of course, it isn’t just consumers that are concerned about the year ahead.  Small business optimism is falling as well

A popular gauge of small-business confidence in the US sank to a seven-month low in December as stricter lockdown measures and climbing daily case counts cut into economic activity.

The National Federation of Independent Businesses’ index of small-business optimism fell 5.5 points last month to 95.9, according to a Tuesday release. The reading lands below the average index value since 1978 of 98 and marks the lowest level since May. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg expected the gauge to dip slightly to 100.2.

Americans generally tend to be quite optimistic about the future, but looking ahead there just aren’t any reasons to be optimistic about the U.S. economy in 2021.

The COVID pandemic continues to get even worse, new lockdowns have been instituted all over the country, our federal government is in a state of chaos, and there will inevitably be more rioting, looting, and civil unrest in the months ahead.

Plus, there will undoubtedly be some additional unexpected surprises that most people are not anticipating.

Before I wrap up this article, there is just one more thing that I wanted to mention.  A programmer in San Francisco named Stefan Thomas is the proud owner of 7,002 Bitcoin, but he can’t access his fortune because he forgot the password, and he only has two more tries before he is locked out permanently…

Take Stefan Thomas, a programmer in San Francisco, who told The New York Times that he has 7,002 Bitcoin tucked away — currently worth about $236 million, nearly a quarter billion dollars — but that he has no idea how to access it and can only guess two more passwords before being locked out forever.

Even setting aside the long term prospects for crypto, the key message of these horror stories is that taking digital finances into your own hands is a huge risk if you can’t manage your passwords.

Can you imagine how you would feel if that happened to you?

Sadly, it could be argued that essentially the same thing is happening to the nation as a whole.

America has “forgotten the password” to what once made us so great, and we are running out of chances.

Let us hope that we wake up before it is too late because time is not on our side at this point.

Xi Orders Chinese Army To “Be Ready To Fight At Any Second”

Chinese communist party leader and totalitarian tyrant has ordered the Chinese army to be ready to fight “without fear of death.” He has said the army should “be ready to fight at any second,” as tensions continue to heighten with India and Taiwan.

Xi, one of Earth’s most brutal tyrants, who chairs China’s Central Military Commission, ordered the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to maintain “full-time combat readiness” and to be ready to “act at any second.” He has also reportedly directed the military to bolster training in 2021 and use more hi-tech in its drills, according to a report by RT.

The commanders and the soldiers of the whole army must… carry forward the spirit of combat without the fear of hardships and the fear of death,” the order read, noting that this year will be the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

Last month, China sent an aircraft carrier through the Taiwan Strait a day after a US warship sailed there. Beijing’s increased military posturing in the region took place as Taipei launched a rearmament program and secured several major arms deals with Washington.

China and the US continued accusing each other of provocative maneuvers in the South China Sea, while their ties were further damaged by a trade war and Washington’s support for the protest movement in Hong Kong. -RT

Nigel Farage has also been outspoken about the CCP’s desire for total war on the planet. “This Chinese Communist Party poses a massive threat to the world, a threat to our freedom, a threat to our way of life,” Farage said. “So my next campaign is to make sure people understand who China are, what the Chinese Communist Party is, what it’s doing to its own people, what it wants to do to the rest of the world.” He added: “We need to wake up to the threat that is posed by China,” he said according to a report by Sky News Australia.

The warning about China from Farage is timely considering China appears to be preparing its soldiers for death.  As we are all stuck on this prison planet with the ever-increasing enslavement of the masses by the few politicians and elitists, it is becoming much more difficult to stick one’s head in the sand and pretend it is anything less.

Violence erupts in Washington between Trump supporters and leftist groups — shot fired, suspect detained

Several rallies and counterprotests went down on Saturday in Olympia, Washington. In the midst of tense and sometimes violent clashes between Trump supporters and members of leftist groups, someone fired a gun. Police had made at least two arrests.

In Olympia, there was a “RE-Open WA” rally planned, a “Stop the Steal” parade, and a “BLM: Washington vs. Fascism” counterprotest scheduled for Saturday, according to Fox News.

It didn’t take long for the polar opposite groups to run into each other in Olympia. Proud Boys and Black Bloc members confronted each other as seen in video taken by reporter Shauna Sowersby.

(Content Warning: Graphic footage):

Then fights erupted between the two groups, and an “unlawful assembly” was declared by the Olympia Police Department.

“First fight breaks out between Back the blue / stop the steal protesters and Portland / Washington counter-protesters,” Independent Media said.

An alleged member of the Proud Boys was reportedly arrested for pointing his gun. While at the same time law enforcement is seen firing crowd control munitions at apparent Antifa members lined up in the middle of the street.

The violence escalated to the point that the Olympia Police Department was forced to declare a riot.

A shot was fired during the protests. A man wearing all black was seen brandishing a handgun. He flees the scene and puts on a red hat. The same man appears to be on the ground and being arrested by the Olympia Police Department officers and Washington State Troopers.

Washington State Patrol spokesperson Chris Loftis confirmed the shooting to the Seattle Times.

“Suspect detained,” Loftis said. “No information confirmed on victim or any injury status.”

Loftis described the situation as, “Fluid situation with two groups of size, both including heavily armed individuals.”

There was violence in Olympia last Saturday as well. There was a nasty brawl between “Back the Blue” supporters and Black Bloc members.

“We did make an arrest for a subject that appeared to fire at least one round from a handgun into the opposing crowd,” the Olympia Police Department said last week. “Any witnesses to that crime should contact @OlyPD through the 911 system.”

Brutal brawl erupts between black bloc anarchists and ‘Back the Blue’ supporters in Washington

There were violent clashes in Washington’s capital on Saturday during a “Back the Blue” rally when black bloc anarchists held their own counterprotest.

The Olympia Police Department released a notice: “Large group of opposing protesters started near the Capitol and are now moving through downtown Olympia. Near City Hall. The groups have dispersed into smaller groups and are moving throughout the area. Officers are monitoring to ensure things are peaceful from here forward.”

The black bloc anarchists held their own event titled “Squash Fascists.” The two groups baited each other throughout the day, as seen in footage from photojournalist Independent Media PDX. The black bloc members burned American flags and the “Back the Blue” supporters retaliated by burning a black umbrella, which many Antifa members carry to conceal their identities.

(Content Warning: Explicit and violent videos):

At one point, a brutal brawl between the two groups erupted. Individuals dressed in all black are beaten with American and Trump flag poles.

The Olympia Police Department said the groups “have largely dispersed.” The department said, “An arrest was made for two counts of felony assault. An additional charge may be referred for reckless endangerment as well.”

“We did make an arrest for a subject that appeared to fire at least one round from a handgun into the opposing crowd,” the police tweeted. “Any witnesses to that crime should contact @OlyPD through the 911 system.”

Olympia wasn’t the only place where groups clashed. In St Paul, Minneapolis, groups prepared for confrontation.

In California, Black bloc militants wielded shields and chanted, “No more Proud Boys in Sacramento!” There was a heavy police presence with officers wearing riot gear. Police officers fired non-lethal munitions at rowdy demonstrators dressed in all black.

At one point, alleged Proud Boys and black bloc members clashed. Black bloc members attacked Trump supporters and left them injured.

Oregon & New Mexico Lockdown Again

The governors of both Oregon and New Mexico have given dictatorial commands that they expect the slaves in their respective states to obey. Governor Kate Brown of Oregon even said: “I’m not asking. I’m telling.”

These new orders in these two states are some of the most aggressive responses yet to the latest wave of alleged coronavirus infections.  If you believe the mainstream media, then the scamdemic has been “shattering records” across the United States, even as many of their counterparts in other states show little appetite for reimposing the hard-line restrictions of last spring.

Biden’s “COVID Advisor” Says U.S. Should Lockdown AGAIN For 4-6 Weeks

Isn’t it hilarious how people previously claimed that if Biden won the (s)election that this would all just disappear? (Not that he won, although the Associated Press or mainstream media has already given him the crown.) It will never go away for as long as the ruling class can use it to amass power over others. That should be obvious by now.

According to the AP,  Brown issued a command under which all businesses will be required to close their offices to the public and mandate work-from-home “to the greatest extent possible.” Oregon stores will remain open, however, gyms, museums, pools, movie theaters, and zoos will be forced to close, and restaurants and bars will be limited to takeout. Social gatherings will be restricted to six people as Thanksgiving approaches. There is also a new “West Coast travel advisory” which is telling those outside the states to quarantine for two weeks upon entry to Washinton, Oregon, or California.

The democrat governor warned that violators of her orders could face fines or arrest. If you are still under any delusion that you are free, it’s time to wake up.  “For the last eight months, I have been asking Oregonians to follow to the letter and the spirit of the law, and we have not chosen to engage law enforcement,” Brown said. “At this point in time, unfortunately, we have no other option,” she added blaming the public for literally being human.

Also interestingly, the Associated Press wants to threaten and remind us:

Both states had lockdowns earlier in the year, but the coronavirus is coming back with a vengeance across the country, and the U.S. is facing a long, dark winter.

business models cash position Central Banks China Commodities Companies experts fall Federal Reserve Financial Forecasting gains Headline News higher interest rates Intelwars mining sector opportunities rallied risk Stocks Washington

WARNING: We’re Too Early – GOLD MELTDOWN!

This article was contributed by the Wealth Research Group.

Since June 2019 (the past 16 months), 8 gold and silver companies that have enjoyed triple-digit gains have been featured in these pages. Among them, one company has even rallied over 1,000% — companies that we’ve been following for 3-4 years have seen 600% and 700% appreciations, while others have been uplisted to the NYSE. Truly, in the past 16 months, we could do no wrong.

Those who were brave enough to look the devil in the eye in March and April and capitalize on the panic – when TV screens the world over were broadcasting people dropping dead on the streets of China – have been able to enjoy generationally-high returns in just 6-8 months — buying the crash was, as it always is, the best opportunity to make sensational returns.

But, since gold peaked in August, nothing has worked in the mining sector. At least three companies that have been featured here since then, as potential opportunities for you to independently watch, study, and research, are now 30% – 50% cheaper than they were when these were first presented here, along with their business models. It’s a key lesson in the importance of trading tactics, such as (1) splitting purchases into increments in order to sustain blows better, (2) taking time to build positions, (3) being early, and (4) tolerating risk and volatility.

Somehow, in the past three to four weeks, investors have become convinced (so much so that they’re willing to swear by it) that Joe Biden is heading towards a landslide victory.

Courtesy: Zerohedge.com

As such, they’ve created the following script in their minds:

* A Biden victory is going to make it extremely difficult for Washington to achieve anything between now and the January inauguration.

* No stimulus bill will be passed. If one does pass both parties’ demands, it will be small.

* Therefore, we have no way of knowing how things will develop. In the meantime, we (as in the investment community) will settle for a large cash position.

As you can see by the chart above, everyone and their mama is betting on higher interest rates, for the time being.

I’ve been investing since June 2000, when at age 16, with three years’ worth of babysitting and basketball tutoring savings (which I’ve gathered since the age of 13), my personal banker had convinced my parents that I was mature enough to invest money in the markets. He got them to sign a waiver, so that I, a minor at the time, could buy equities.

Rarely have I made a decision in the twenty years since, which had anything to do with who was in the White House, since 73% of my net worth is tied to long-term strategies, not to cyclical trades. But when it comes to mining stocks, unless one is willing to absorb the risks of timing his trades wrongly and seeing -50% temporary plunges (which, at times, could even turn into permanent ones, cutting losses when things go south and moving on), one SHOULD NOT ever be in the commodities sector.

Even the world’s best gold stock can’t appreciate in price when gravity is pulling it in the opposite direction. Trading mining stocks boils down to the art of cutting losers fast and sticking with winners for the long haul.

THEORETICAL EXAMPLE: (Total portfolio size $50,000):
* Proper Asset Allocation: Speculative portfolio size (15%, $7,500).
* Proper Diversification: Ten companies, each making up $750, or 1.5% of total portfolio.
* Proper Position Sizing / Stop Loss: Each investment is made in increments of three – 33% initially ($250), additional 33% ($250) if/when the stock falls 20%, last 33% ($250) if/when stock falls another 20%; stop-loss to be set to 36%, below FINAL cost-basis.

Breakdown: Company (A) trades for $1.00. Initial outlay is made ($250 @ $1.00). The stock falls to 80c, so secondary outlay is made ($250 @ $0.80). Commodity prices continue dragging mining stocks down another 20% to 64c, so final outlay is made ($250 @ $0.64). Overall cost-basis: $0.813. Stop-loss is set to: 0.813 *0.64 = $0.52.

Risk/Reward: If the company does what it sets to do: 500% potential returns – (don’t do for less). If company (A) fails or if the commodity cycle turns bearish, potential loss: 36%.
In numbers: $1,000 could turn into $5,000 (winner) or to $640 (loser), so the equation is risking $360 in order to potentially make $4,000, an 11:1 risk/reward set up.

The biggest investment mistake people make, in my opinion, is buying the whole position on day 1.

Right now, the entire investment community is sure of a Biden victory, which will lead to a few months of wait-and-see until the inauguration.

Courtesy: Zerohedge.com

There are long-term trends in place, mixed with short-term sentiment moves. Right now, within the context of a bull market for gold and silver, there’s a short-term trade of higher bond yields. This will hurt precious metals.

Gold could fall to $1,820 and silver to $23/ounce. The mining stocks could undergo a brutal correction phase.

One has to make an individual decision, which boils down to this: Am I willing to stomach a rollercoaster ride until gold surpasses $2,000 again and reaches green pastures?

If one answers YES, then this weakness is a buying opportunity.

If one answers NO, then this weakness is a chance to sell and come back later, when the momentum is strong again.

It doesn’t look good for precious metals in the immediate-term, but looking past January 2021, the case for $2,500 to $3,000 gold is well intact, according to the world’s most sophisticated investors:

Baron li Crime Intelwars Murder Murder For Hire Murder for hire plot Shaerin rose kelley Shooting Washington

Man survives being shot 9 times, only for his ex-wife to allegedly plan another murder-for-hire plot

Baron Li, 48, survived being shot nine times in July, in what he says was a murder-for-hire plot orchestrated by his wife.

On the morning of July 10, Li walked from his apartment to his car in Bellevue, Washington. Police say a masked assassin was waiting to ambush Li, and told an accomplice that he was “going to cap someone.”

According to court documents, Li was shot in the back of the leg, causing him to fall to the ground. Li said he pulled himself behind the car door for cover from the gunfire. The masked gunman allegedly walked up to Li and opened fire. Bullets pierced his arm, legs, torso, and hip. Despite being shot nine times and suffering shattered bones, the bullets miraculously missed major arteries and organs.

First responders needed three tourniquets to stop the bleeding, and he was taken to a Seattle hospital for surgery. Li spent a week in the hospital to recover from his injuries.

“From the get-go, I was just wondering, ‘Who was that that my wife sent to kill me,” Li told Inside Edition. He immediately informed authorities that his ex-wife could be responsible for the near-death shooting.

“Did I know she was crazy, did I know she was capable of doing this? Of course, without a doubt,” Li said.

Li and his ex-wife, Shaerin Rose Kelley, had reportedly been locked in an ugly custody battle over their disabled 6-year-old son for the past five years. Li told detectives that his son has a trust fund, a settlement from when he suffered brain damage as an infant. He told authorities that Kelley, 30, would inherit “significant funds” if she had sole custody of their son.

Police say they discovered a GPS-tracking device on Li’s car, which was purchased by Li’s ex-wife.

The investigation led police to two teenagers from Mount Vernon, who were reportedly hired by the ex-wife to kill Li. Earlier this month, police arrested the two 17-year-olds, Joseph Good and Quincy Mendez. They were both charged as adults with attempted first-degree murder. Good also faces a charge for unlawful possession of a weapon.

Kelley allegedly offered Good $13,000 to kill her ex-husband. Good reportedly offered his friend $5,000 to take him to Li’s home and be the getaway driver in the murder-for-hire plot.

Surveillance video spotted a pickup truck at the scene of the shooting that Mendez borrowed from his father, according to court documents.

According to police, Kelley had already begun planning a new murder scheme with the teen after she found out that Li survived being shot nine times.

“Job unfinished, will need to complete unless it resolves on its own in the next month,” Kelley texted Good, according to court records. Good allegedly replied, “You’re sure? I’m pretty sure I finished it well.” Good reportedly agreed to murder Li, but asked for partial payment so that he could pay his getaway driver.

“Their failure to kill the victim was not for lack of effort,” prosecutors said, according to The Washington Post. “He was shot multiple times at close range and left to die.”

Police said they obtained phone records and emails between Kelley and Good, which detailed the murder-for-hire plot.

Kelley was arrested on Oct. 8, and charged with attempted murder.

“Rather than any remorse or realization of the horror of what she set in motion when the victim survived, it appears the intent to kill the victim was unabated,” prosecutors said in a memo filed with the court. “If Kelley is out of custody, then Baron Li’s life is at risk.”

“I hope she rots in jail for the rest of her life,” Li said. Li said he is not angry at the teens, adding they just made a bad choice. “The real target’s not me, I was in the way, the target’s my son and I’m glad he’s going to be safe now.”

Li has nerve damage in his right arm and hasn’t been able to use his hand.

An arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 26.

Twitter Fined For Multiple Campaign Finance Violations

This article was originally published by Tyler Durden at ZeroHedge.

Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced Tuesday that Twitter would pay $100,000 to Washington’s Public Disclosure Transparency Account after violating state campaign finance disclosure laws.

From 2012 to 2019, Twitter received nearly $200,000 for campaign ads but failed to follow Washington disclosure laws by unlawfully failing to maintain public records about the political ads that ran on the platform has resulted in a $100,000 fine.

Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s chief executive, said in October 2019 that the social media platform would ban all political ads due to misleading messaging by some candidates.

“We’ve made the decision to stop all political advertising on Twitter globally. We believe political message reach should be earned, not bought. Why? A few reasons…,” Dorsey tweeted last year.

The judgment, filed Tuesday in King County Superior Court, notes that at least 38 Washington candidates and political committees paid $194,550 for political advertising on the platform between 2012-2019.

“Transparency in political advertising is critical to a free and informed electorate,” Ferguson said. “Whether you are a local newspaper or a multinational social media platform, you must follow our campaign finance laws.”

“The Public Disclosure Commission appreciates the shared commitment of the Attorney General’s Office to vigorous enforcement of the state’s campaign finance laws,” Public Disclosure Commission Chair David Ammons said. “The people of Washington, in their overwhelming vote for the disclosure Initiative 276 nearly a half-century ago, created one of the nation’s most emphatic demands for transparency and accountability in campaign finance reporting. As powerful new platforms and commercial advertisers emerge in the campaign world, we must stay vigilant in demanding full compliance with all disclosure laws of Washington state.”

Washington’s Public Disclosure Commission first received notice from an independent researcher on Oct. 30, 2019, about Twitter’s potential violations.

The irony here is, of course, that Twitter – which has been doing everything it can to crack down on political “misinformation” – is now being dinged for failing to share information about its political advertising operation.

11 Facts That Prove That The Apocalyptic Wildfires On The West Coast Are Unlike Anything We Have Ever Seen Before

At this hour, a thick blanket of smoke from the horrific wildfires in California, Oregon and Washington is covering much of the western portion of the country.  U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon has used the word “apocalyptic” to describe the utter devastation that has been caused by these fires, and that is not an exaggeration whatsoever.  There are some small towns that have literally been wiped off the face of the map during the past week, and some of them may never be rebuilt.  This has already been a wildfire season like no other along the west coast, and we are just now entering the heart of the 2020 fire season.  It is very difficult to imagine another couple months of this, but that is potentially what we are facing.

By the time that it is over, nobody living on the west coast will ever forget the chaos that this wildfire season has caused.  Some of the largest fires have been burning for weeks, and all of the smoke is having a dramatic impact on large cities such as San Francisco

The cityscape resembles the surface of a distant planet, populated by a masked alien culture. The air, choked with blown ash, is difficult to breathe.

There is the Golden Gate Bridge, looming in the distance through a drift-smoke haze, and the Salesforce Tower, which against the blood-orange sky appears as a colossal spaceship in a doomsday film.

San Francisco, and much of California, has never been like this.

Yes, every year there are wildfires, but what we are watching this year is on an entirely different level.  The following are 11 facts that prove the apocalyptic wildfires in California, Oregon and Washington and unlike anything we have seen before…

#1 According to the National Interagency Fire Center, more than 30,000 firefighters are currently contending with 94 large fires that have burned more than 4.6 million acres in 12 western states.

#2 40 of those large fires have prompted evacuation orders, and many have been forced to flee “with just the clothes on their backs” because the fires have moved so rapidly.

#3 The August Complex Fire has already officially become the largest wildfire in the history of the state of California, and at this hour it continues to rage out of control.

#4 Five of the ten largest wildfires in California history have happened in 2020.

#5 In Oregon, 40,000 people have already been evacuated, and hundreds of thousands more have been told to prepare to potentially evacuate.

#6 On Saturday, the air quality index reading in Salem, Oregon was 512.  That measurement was “off the charts”, because the scale only goes up to 500.

#7 Prior to 2020, we had only witnessed a few “fire tornadoes” in all of U.S. history, but now they are occurring “every week or two”.

#8 According to the Washington Post, some wildfire plumes have risen “up to 10 miles high”, and that is definitely extremely unusual.

#9 About a week after a fire tornado hit the Huntington Lake area, some fires are still burning root systems underground “at more than 1,500 degrees”

A week later, Donnelly said Saturday that the Creek Fire continues to burn in the area, with some fires occurring underground and attacking the root system of trees at more than 1,500 degrees.

“Fire inspectors from the office of the State Fire Marshall stated that fire behavior in the Kennolyn area is the worst they had witnessed in their career,” Donnelly wrote in a post that was shared on social media, timestamped as 11 a.m. Saturday. “Unfortunately, it will be some time before it is safe to enter the burned areas.”

#10 Even though we still have quite a bit of time to go, this has already been the worst wildfire season in California’s history and the second worst wildfire season in Washington’s history.

#11 Sadly, the fire season still has another four months remaining, and there are at least seven weeks left in “prime fire season”.

Of course the list above simply cannot express the incredible amount of pain and suffering that these fires have caused for so many people.

When a reporter followed Betty Stevens of Phoenix, Oregon back to the spot where her home once stood, what they discovered was too horrible for words

Betty Stevens stumbled down the street that had until a few hours ago seemed so familiar, her feet crunching through ash and debris as she entered the smoking remains of her neighborhood. There were melted street signs. Trees burned down to stumps. Power lines across the road. And everywhere she turned, choking, acrid smoke.

Sobbing behind the face mask she normally wears for her job as a hospital respiratory therapist helping coronavirus patients, Stevens, 31, video recorded herself earlier this week as she stumbled through the neighborhood, raw emotion in her voice, sometimes unable to form words, moaning in obvious pain.

Could you imagine losing your home and everything inside of it?

Over the next several weeks, fires will continue to sweep across our western states and many more homes and buildings will likely be lost.

For many, it will be the final straw.  As I have discussed previously, large numbers of people have already moved away from the west coast, and there are others that are seriously considering doing so

Monica Gupta Mehta and her husband, an entrepreneur, have been through tech busts and booms, earthquakes, wildfire seasons and power outages. But it was not until the skies darkened and cast an unsettling orange light on their Palo Alto home earlier this week that they ever considered moving their family of five somewhere else.

“For the first time in 20-something years, the thought crossed our minds: Do we really want to live here?” said Mehta, who is starting an education tech company.

As a very small child, I spent several years on the west coast, and I will always have a great fondness for how it was in the old days.  But if you have read my new book, you already know how I feel about the west coast’s future.

There are very few areas on the entire globe that have been blessed with more natural beauty than the west coast of the United States.  Unfortunately, natural beauty is not everything.

Here in 2020, it has just been one thing after another, and the west coast has been hit harder than just about anywhere else.

Many are hoping that better times are ahead in 2021, but I definitely would not be counting on that.

California death toll Intelwars oregon victims Washington wildfires

Death toll from West Coast wildfires reaches 7

At least seven people have lost their lives in the devastating wildfires that continue to rage in several Western U.S. states, with reports of victims coming from California, Oregon and Washington.

What are the details?

The first reported death was out of Washington on Wednesday, where a 1-year-old boy died and his parents were severely burned as the family fled wildfires in the northern part of the state. The mother and father were hospitalized for their injuries.

Three people have been killed by the fires in Oregon. The Oregonian reported that a 13-year-old boy, Wyatt Tofte, and his grandmother, Peggy Mosso, were the first fatalities in the state. CBS News reported that Wyatt fled as a fire approached his home on Tuesday night, and his body was later found inside a vehicle along with the remains of his dog. The boy’s mother was hospitalized and remains in critical condition.

The third victim in Oregon was found on Thursday in the southern part of the state from a fire that is now being investigated as arson. That person’s identity has not been made public.

Another three people were found dead in Butte County, California, according to Mercury News. One of them was discovered late Wednesday morning, and authorities believe the individual was overcome by flames after fleeing their vehicle. Another two victims were found together in a separate area, but they have not been identified positively according to Sheriff Kory Honea.

“Time and again we have seen how dangerous wildfires can be,” Honea said during a press conference. “So I ask that you please, please, please be prepared, maintain situational awareness and heed the warnings.”

The The New York Times noted that “California’s wildfire season is already the most severe in modern history, measured by acres burned.” The outlet reported, “More than 2.5 million acres of land have burned in the state this year, nearly 20 times what had burned at this time last year.”

The Associate Press reported that since mid-August in California, “fires have killed 12 people, destroyed more than 3,600 buildings, burned old growth redwoods, charred chaparral and forced evacuations in communities near the coast, in wine country north of San Francisco and along the Sierra Nevada.”

Tens of thousands of people have been ordered to evacuate their homes in recent days to escape the West Coast fires that have been called “unprecedented” as high winds fan the flames amid drought conditions.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) expressed some cautious optimism on Thursday, saying a “We’re encouraged that the wind activity appears to be dying down. The rest of the week looks a little more favorable.”

Dc renaming Intelwars Rename monuments Rename schools Renaming Washington

DC committee pushes for capital makeover stripped of names of slaveholders like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson

A committee advising Democratic Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser has proposed renaming dozens of schools, parks, and various other government buildings over their namesakes’ connections to slavery, the Washington Post reported Tuesday.

Included in the list of individuals who the committee says should not have public works named after them are former Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, Andrew Jackson, William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, Zachary Taylor and Woodrow Wilson; Revolutionary leader Benjamin Franklin; explorer Christopher Columbus, and national anthem writer Francis Scott Key.

Never mind the fact that the city itself is named after George Washington and the district after Christopher Columbus.

The report, put together by the mayor’s senior adviser Beverly Perry and public library director Richard Reyes-Gavilan, labeled 153 of the 1,330 individuals who have something named after them in the capital as “persons of concern” for their past conduct.

According to the report, the criteria for renaming included whether the namesakes owned slaves, supported the institution of slavery, passed laws disparaging women or minorities, belonged to a “supremacist organization,” or discriminated against a marginalized group.

In all, the committee deemed problematic the naming of some 22 schools, 2 libraries, 11 recreational centers, and 78 streets, and 8 monuments or memorials — essentially pushing for a “cancel culture” makeover of the nation’s capital.

“We believe strongly that all District of Columbia owned public spaces, facilities and commemorative works should only honor those individuals who exemplified those values such as equity, opportunity and diversity that DC residents hold dear,” Perry and Reyes-Gavilan wrote in the recommendation.

“Commemoration on a District of Columbia asset is a high honor reserved for esteemed persons with a legacy that merits recognition,” they added.

The move is likely to reignite public debate over renaming public assets that commemorate the nation’s history.

As Black Lives Matter protests raged in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death in late May, several on the left pushed for renaming everything that could be feasibly deemed offensive from product brands to national monuments.

This latest effort may be the most aggressive and sweeping yet, but it won’t be entirely easy to enact. The Post noted in its report that certain assets, such as schools, usually undergo a rigorous “public engagement process” before being renamed. Other assets, such as streets, parks, and government buildings can be independently renamed by the city council.

Many of the monuments in the district are actually owned by the federal government, and are under its control.

The committee suggests that assets such as the Washington Monument and the Jefferson Memorial be recommended for removal, relocation, or be given additional contextualization by the federal government.

Bill Clinton Donald Trump election Howard Katz Intelwars Jesse Waters Joe Biden left-right paradigm Newt Gingrich political puppets Post Office rigged voting is a scam Washington

NEWT SAYS TRUMP’S GONNA WIPE THE FLOOR WITH BIDEN AND WITH A VICTORY ‘DRAMATICALLY BIGGER’ THAN MOST EXPECT

This article was originally published by Duncan Smith at The National Sentinal.

Few in and around Washington have their finger on the pulse of the nation than former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

The political tea reader and former Georgia Republican and House Speaker was the one who designed the “Contract With America” that was instrumental in the GOP retaking control of the lower chamber for the first time in decades two years into President Bill Clinton’s first term.

He’s got his finger in the political winds constantly. He knows the ground game better than most.

And he says that President Trump’s not only going to beat Democratic nominee Joe Biden, but wipe the floor with him.

Per Trending Politics:

“I’m predicting that it will be a dramatically bigger victory than people currently expect,” Gingrich told host Jesse Waters on Saturday night.

A Trump victory is “beginning to build,” Gingrich added.

Gingrich encouraged Republicans to point out their differences from Democrats in order to bolster Trump’s chances.

“We don’t have to want to make stuff up. We don’t have to invent some post office phony scandal. We just have to tell the truth about how radical these people are,” Gingrich said.

Gingrich also said the growing violence and chaos in Democratic-controlled cities like Chicago, Seattle, and Portland will hurt Democrats and help Trump.

“Rioting every day for 90 days, that begins to be a fact. And it was very interesting to me that neither Biden nor Harris was willing to say a word about Antifa, [not] a word about a level of crime,” he said.

“You know, [we] have the mayor of Chicago announcing that she’s going to have police on her own personal street because she wants her family to be safe. But good luck to the rest of the city,” Gingrich added. “Well, I think this stuff sinks in at a level of reality that even NBC News can’t cover-up.”

We know that opinions are like belly buttons — everyone has one.

But Newt’s been around a long time. He knows DC. He knows America. And he knows President Trump.

D.C. foundation Intelwars Lawsuit New York NRA Sues Washington

DC sues NRA and its foundation — as New York sues to dissolve NRA altogether

The democratic attorney general of Washington, D.C., sued the National Rifle Association and its affiliated NRA Foundation on Thursday, the same day the democratic attorney general of New York state sued to have the NRA dissolved entirely.

What are the details?

New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) sued the NRA on Thursday, alleging during a press conference that “the NRA’s influence has been so powerful that the organization went unchecked for decades while top executives funneled millions into their own pockets.”

She further claimed, “The NRA is fraught with fraud and abuse, which is why, today, we seek to dissolve the NRA, because no organization is above the law.”

James made headlines with the move, and afterward, longtime NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre reacted in a statement, “The NYAG’s actions are an affront to democracy and freedom. This is an unconstitutional, premeditated attack aiming to dismantle and destroy the NRA — the fiercest defender of America’s freedom at the ballot box for decades.”

He added, “The NRA is well governed, financially solvent, and committed to good governance. We’re ready for the fight. Bring it on.”

The same morning, D.C. Attorney General Karl Rancine announced his own attack on the NRA — going after the organization along with its affiliated foundation further alleging misappropriation of funds.

The lawsuit is asking a court to appoint someone to “monitor all Foundational financial decisions and transactions” and to “impose a constructive trust, for the benefit of the Foundation, over Foundation funds improperly diverted to the NRA in violation of District Law and the Foundation’s nonprofit purpose.”

According to a press release put out by Rancine’s office:

In 2017, the NRA Foundation’s board approved a $5 million loan request from the NRA, despite awareness of the NRA’s financial problems. In 2018, the NRA requested a second $5 million loan, which the Foundation’s Board also approved. Later, the Board also granted repeated requests to extend and modify loan terms in ways that benefitted the NRA and harmed the Foundation—including a change that allowed the NRA to repay other debt before it repaid the Foundation. As of August 2020, the NRA still owes the Foundation $5 million.

The NRA tweeted Thursday night, “From our cold, dead hands.”

Anything else?

The NRA has been a frequent target of progressive politicians pushing for gun control, but the organization has also faced several internal problems in recent years.

WRC-TV reported:

There has been an ongoing factional war within organization, pitting some of its most ardent gun-rights supporters and loyalists against one another. The NRA has traded lawsuits with Ackerman McQueen, which crafted some of its most prominent messages for decades, eventually severing ties with it last year and scrapping its controversial NRA-TV, which aired many of its most controversial messages.

The internal battles reached a fevered pitch at its 2019 annual meeting where its then-president, Oliver North, was denied a traditional second term amid a tussle with LaPierre as he sought to independently review the NRA’s expenses and operations. He accused LaPierre of exerting “dictatorial” control.

Chris Cox, the NRA’s longtime lobbyist and widely viewed as a likely successor to LaPierre, left after being accused of working behind the scenes with North to undermine LaPierre.
