Information Flows and Democracy

Henry Farrell and I published a paper on fixing American democracy: “Rechanneling Beliefs: How Information Flows Hinder or Help Democracy.”

It’s much easier for democratic stability to break down than most people realize, but this doesn’t mean we must despair over the future. It’s possible, though very difficult, to back away from our current situation towards one of greater democratic stability. This wouldn’t entail a restoration of a previous status quo. Instead, it would recognize that the status quo was less stable than it seemed, and a major source of the tensions that have started to unravel it. What we need is a dynamic stability, one that incorporates new forces into American democracy rather than trying to deny or quash them.

This paper is our attempt to explain what this might mean in practice. We start by analyzing the problem and explaining more precisely why a breakdown in public consensus harms democracy. We then look at how these beliefs are being undermined by three feedback loops, in which anti-democratic actions and anti-democratic beliefs feed on each other. Finally, we explain how these feedback loops might be redirected so as to sustain democracy rather than undermining it.

To be clear: redirecting these and other energies in more constructive ways presents enormous challenges, and any plausible success will at best be untidy and provisional. But, almost by definition, that’s true of any successful democratic reforms where people of different beliefs and values need to figure out how to coexist. Even when it’s working well, democracy is messy. Solutions to democratic breakdowns are going to be messy as well.

This is part of our series of papers looking at democracy as an information system. The first paper was “Common-Knowledge Attacks on Democracy.”

U.S. Government Diligently Working With Big Tech To Censor ANYTHING That Could Cause “Vaccine Hesitancy”

The ruling class desperately needs as many people as possible to take the COVID-19 vaccine.  This push to get an mRNA vaccine in the veins of everyone is resulting in a diligent effort to censor ANYTHING that could cause “vaccine hesitancy.”

The United States government, Joe Biden’s White House, has “hands-on” involvement in censoring any information that could result in someone thinking for themselves and rejecting the vaccine.

Disinformation that causes vaccine hesitancy is going to be a huge obstacle to getting everyone vaccinated and there are no larger players in that than the social media platforms,” a source with direct knowledge about the cooperation told Reuters.

“We are talking to them… so they understand the importance of misinformation and disinformation and how they can get rid of it quickly”. -RT

The White House has previously acknowledged working with tech giants like Facebook and Google on the issue of censorship of free speech, but any direct engagement was not confirmed as of yet, Reuters reported.

The Biden administration wants digital platforms to suppress content that can result in events like the anti-vaccination protest at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles in late January, the source said. The arena has been repurposed as a drive-in mass vaccination site, one of the largest in the U.S., after being used for Covid-19 testing since May.

The protests against this mRNA vaccine are growing, and with it, government oppression and tyranny. The only good news is that all of this censorship is having the opposite effect that the ruling class wants.  It’s not “keeping us slaves in line,” but making us more resilient while waking up the masses to the slave state we have always lived in.

The U.S. is undergoing a period of record-low public trust in the traditional mainstream media and widespread disillusionment in the two-party political system of democracy, which we all already know is nothing more than mob rule. The institutional crisis was aggravated by the economic damage done by the COVID-19 pandemic reaction by the masters against the slaves and has sent many people looking for solutions to having a master.

We all need to wake up. Government is slavery and they are proving it time and time again, daily. If we ever expect to be the free human beings we were born to be, we need to start to realize what’s really going on here.  There’s a reason they need everyone vaccinated, and it should be utterly clear by now that it isn’t about our health – it’s about keeping us slaves on the plantation.

Techno-Censorship: The Slippery Slope from Censoring ‘Disinformation’ to Silencing Truth

This article was originally published by John W. Whitehead at The Rutherford Institute.

“If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.”? George Orwell

This is the slippery slope that leads to the end of free speech as we once knew it.

In a world increasingly automated and filtered through the lens of artificial intelligence, we are finding ourselves at the mercy of inflexible algorithms that dictate the boundaries of our liberties.

Once artificial intelligence becomes a fully integrated part of the government bureaucracy, there will be little recourse: we will be subject to the intransigent judgments of techno-rulers.

This is how it starts.

Martin Niemöller’s warning about the widening net that ensnares us all still applies.

“First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

In our case, however, it started with the censors who went after extremists spouting so-called “hate speech,” and few spoke out—because they were not extremists and didn’t want to be shamed for being perceived as politically incorrect.

Then the internet censors got involved and went after extremists spouting “disinformation” about stolen elections, the Holocaust, and Hunter Biden, and few spoke out—because they were not extremists and didn’t want to be shunned for appearing to disagree with the majority.

By the time the techno-censors went after extremists spouting “misinformation” about the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines, the censors had developed a system and strategy for silencing the nonconformists. Still, few spoke out.

Eventually, “we the people” will be the ones in the crosshairs.

At some point or another, depending on how the government and its corporate allies define what constitutes “extremism, “we the people” might all be considered guilty of some thought crime or other.

When that time comes, there may be no one left to speak out or speak up in our defense.

Whatever we tolerate now—whatever we turn a blind eye to—whatever we rationalize when it is inflicted on others, whether in the name of securing racial justice or defending democracy or combatting fascism, will eventually come back to imprison us, one and all.

Watch and learn.

We should all be alarmed when prominent social media voices such as Donald TrumpAlex JonesDavid Icke, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are censored, silenced, and made to disappear from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram for voicing ideas that are deemed politically incorrect, hateful, dangerous or conspiratorial.

The question is not whether the content of their speech was legitimate.

The concern is what happens after such prominent targets are muzzled. What happens once the corporate techno-censors turn their sights on the rest of us?

It’s a slippery slope from censoring so-called illegitimate ideas to silencing the truth. Eventually, as George Orwell predicted, telling the truth will become a revolutionary act.

We are on a fast-moving trajectory.

Already, there are calls for the Biden administration to appoint a “reality czar” in order to tackle disinformation, domestic extremism, and the nation’s so-called “reality crisis.”

Knowing what we know about the government’s tendency to define its own reality and attach its own labels to behavior and speech that challenges its authority, this should be cause for alarm across the entire political spectrum.

Here’s the point: you don’t have to like Trump or any of the others who are being muzzled, nor do you have to agree or even sympathize with their views, but to ignore the long-term ramifications of such censorship would be dangerously naïve.

As Matt Welch, writing for Reason, rightly points out, “Proposed changes to government policy should always be visualized with the opposing team in charge of implementation.

In other words, whatever powers you allow the government and its corporate operatives to claim now, for the sake of the greater good or because you like or trust those in charge, will eventually be abused and used against you by tyrants of your own making.

As Glenn Greenwald writes for The Intercept:

The glaring fallacy that always lies at the heart of pro-censorship sentiments is the gullible, delusional belief that censorship powers will be deployed only to suppress views one dislikes, but never one’s own views… Facebook is not some benevolent, kind, compassionate parent or a subversive, radical actor who is going to police our discourse in order to protect the weak and marginalized or serve as a noble check on mischief by the powerful. They are almost always going to do exactly the opposite: protect the powerful from those who seek to undermine elite institutions and reject their orthodoxies. Tech giants, like all corporations, are required by law to have one overriding objective: maximizing shareholder value. They are always going to use their power to appease those they perceive wield the greatest political and economic power.

Welcome to the age of technofascism.

Clothed in tyrannical self-righteousness, technofascism is powered by technological behemoths (both corporate and governmental) working in tandem to achieve a common goal.

Thus far, the tech giants have been able to sidestep the First Amendment by virtue of their non-governmental status, but it’s a dubious distinction at best. Certainly, Facebook and Twitter have become the modern-day equivalents of public squares, traditional free speech forums, with the internet itself serving as a public utility.

But what does that mean for free speech online: should it be protected or regulated?

When given a choice, the government always goes for the option that expands its powers at the expense of the citizenry. Moreover, when it comes to free speech activities, regulation is just another word for censorship.

Right now, it’s trendy and politically expedient to denounce, silence, shout down and shame anyone whose views challenge the prevailing norms, so the tech giants are lining up to appease their shareholders.

This is the tyranny of the majority against the minority—exactly the menace to free speech that James Madison sought to prevent when he drafted the First Amendment to the Constitution—marching in lockstep with technofascism.

With intolerance as the new scarlet letter of our day, we now find ourselves ruled by the mob.

Those who dare to voice an opinion or use a taboo word or image that runs counter to the accepted norms are first in line to be shamed, shouted down, silenced, censored, fired, cast out, and generally relegated to the dust heap of ignorant, mean-spirited bullies who are guilty of various “word crimes” and banished from society.

For example, a professor at Duquesne University was fired for using the N-word in an academic context. To get his job back, Gary Shank will have to go through diversity training and restructure his lesson plans.

This is what passes for academic freedom in America today.

If Americans don’t vociferously defend the right of a minority of one to subscribe to, let alone voice, ideas, and opinions that may be offensive, hateful, intolerant, or merely different, then we’re going to soon find that we have no rights whatsoever (to speak, assemble, agree, disagree, protest, opt-in, opt-out, or forge our own paths as individuals).

No matter what our numbers might be, no matter what our views might be, no matter what party we might belong to, it will not be long before “we the people” constitute a powerless minority in the eyes of a power-fueled fascist state-driven to maintain its power at all costs.

We are almost at that point now.

The steady, pervasive censorship creep that is being inflicted on us by corporate tech giants with the blessing of the powers-that-be threatens to bring about a restructuring of reality straight out of Orwell’s 1984, where the Ministry of Truth polices speech and ensures that facts conform to whatever version of reality the government propagandists embrace.

Orwell intended 1984 as a warning. Instead, it is being used as a dystopian instruction manual for socially engineering a populace that is compliant, conformist, and obedient to Big Brother.

Nothing good can come from techno-censorship.

Again, to quote Greenwald:

Censorship power, like the tech giants who now wield it, is an instrument of status quo preservation. The promise of the internet from the start was that it would be a tool of liberation, of egalitarianism, by permitting those without money and power to compete on fair terms in the information war with the most powerful governments and corporations. But just as is true of allowing the internet to be converted into a tool of coercion and mass surveillance, nothing guts that promise, that potential, like empowering corporate overlords and unaccountable monopolists to regulate and suppress what can be heard.

As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, these internet censors are not acting in our best interests to protect us from dangerous, disinformation campaigns. They’re laying the groundwork to preempt any “dangerous” ideas that might challenge the power elite’s stranglehold over our lives.

Therefore, it is important to recognize the thought prison that is being built around us for what it is: a prison with only one route of escape—free thinking and free speaking in the face of tyranny.

BLATANT CENSORSHIP: RFK Jr. Get BANNED From Instagram

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been banned and removed from Facebook’s Instagram platform over “debunked vaccine claims.”  RFK Jr. has been an outspoken critic of vaccines, and one thing the New World Order needs a fully vaccinated public incapable of thinking for themselves.

Facebook has taken down the Instagram page of former president John F. Kennedy’s nephew – a prominent vaccine critic with 800,000 subscribers. The tech giant has recently stepped up its offensive on what it deems Covid-19 disinformation, according to a report by RT.

Facebook has confirmed they censored RFK Jr. for disagreeing with them and the ruling class. “We removed this account for repeatedly sharing debunked claims about the coronavirus or vaccines,” Facebook said, confirming the deletion of his hugely popular page. Hopefully, people will begin to wake up in mass numbers and much more quickly than they have been to what’s really going on.

Kennedy Jr. has drawn stark criticism for his anti-vaccine stance from the mainstream media, with CNN’s Jake Tapper labeling him a “menace” for calling Dr. Anthony Fauci a “very sinister guy who has turned” America over to “Big Pharma.”

Kennedy has been a long-time outspoken vaccine critic. But more than ever, the ruling class and elitists are desperate to silence dissent in any and all forms and keep information from the public that could help advance a free society.

If people do not share in the elitists’ visions for the totalitarian enslavement of humanity, they will be silenced.

As Brian from High Impact Flix, a YouTube creator says “those who burn books today will be burning bodies tomorrow.” Wake up. Stand with morality, no party.

The major problem here is one we should all be able to see. One of their own (a member of the establishment ruling class), Dr. Anthony Fauci has admitted to flat out lying about herd immunity and delivering misinformation to the public to push the vaccine agenda. So, as long as the misinformation is helping the slave state to advance, it’s fine.

Fauci Admits To Lying About Herd Immunity To Convince People To Get The COVID Vaccine

The removal of Kennedy’s account comes as Facebook has taken its clampdown on coronavirus-related claims that do not align with the World Health Organization (WHO) and other health authorities’ recommendations up several notches.

Calls For Censorship & A 1984-Style “Ministry of Truth” Coming From MSM

The biggest liars and propagandized mouthpieces for the establishment ruling class are calling on Joe Biden to create a “ministry of truth” to fight information that counters the official narrative.  We are in the middle of a truly dystopic society.

The New York Times is urging Biden to appoint a “reality czar” to lead the fight against “disinformation and domestic extremism.” But really, the mainstream media and the government want to work together to maintain their stranglehold on the public.  The government would be in charge of dictating everyone’s “reality” if this manifests.

And yes, George Orwell fans, America’s supposed newspaper of record used the phrase “reality czar” in describing the task-force leader that several “experts” recommended would be needed to take charge of the cross-agency “strategic response” to those odious people who say things deemed false by the government. This would be equivalent to the Ministry of Truth in Orwell’s ‘1984’, and the New York Times’ experts’ see the secretary of truth, or reality czar, turning loose the tools of Big Brother to crack down on those conspiracy theorists who have created“the reality crisis.-RT

The “reality crisis” is that people have finally figured out that the mainstream media is pushing the news at us in a way that brainwashed the weak-minded into a controlled servitude state of mind. As more and more people wake up and realize what’s really going on, the mainstream media and the government will become increasingly desperate to control and silence any information.

Does the mainstream media actually believe that by silencing any dissent that people will suddenly begin to trust them again?  They must or they are really at the end of their rope and have to pull out all the stops to keep people from figuring out that government is slavery.

“It sounds a little dystopian, I’ll grant,” Times technology columnist Kevin Roose conceded on Tuesday, “but let’s hear them out.” He went on to say that the “tip-of-the-spear” task force could hold regular meetings with social media platforms and demand “structural changes, such as violating the privacy of their customers under special government exemptions.

So the mainstream media actively wants to punish “wrongthink.” Do you still believe falsely that you’re in the land of free? It’s pretty obvious by now that none of us are.

Biden administration DISINFORMATION Domestic extremism Intelwars Joe Biden New York Times Reality czar Truth commission

Biden admin should set up ‘truth commission,’ appoint ‘reality czar’ to battle ‘disinformation and domestic extremism,’ ‘experts’ tell NY Times

The Biden administration should set up a “truth commission” and appoint a “reality czar” to battle “disinformation and domestic extremism,” a group of “experts” told the New York Times.

Say what?

The Times’ technology columnist, Kevin Roose, wrote that he’s “spent the past several years reporting on our national reality crisis, and I worry that unless the Biden administration treats conspiracy theories and disinformation as the urgent threats they are, our parallel universes will only drift further apart, and the potential for violent unrest and civic dysfunction will only grow.”

Roose noted that he got in touch with a “number of experts and asked what the Biden administration could do to help fix our truth-challenged information ecosystem, or at least prevent it from getting worse.”

Oh, and did they have some ideas for him.

Form a ‘truth commission’

Yes, you read that correctly.

Roose wrote in his piece that Joan Donovan — research director of Harvard University’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy — said the Biden administration could form a “truth commission,” which would be similar to the 9/11 Commission, to probe the inner workings of the Capitol riots.

And who would lead the charge, so to speak? Donovan said ideally those with knowledge of “networked factions” behind the rioting — including white supremacist groups and far-right militias — would undertake the task, the Times reported.

“There must be accountability for these actions,” Donovan told the paper. “My fear is that we will get distracted as a society and focus too much on giving voice to the fringe groups that came out in droves for Trump.”

How about a ‘reality czar’?

Roose acknowledged that more than one of the “experts” he talked to suggested the Biden administration appoint a kind of “reality czar” who would lead a “cross-agency task force to tackle disinformation and domestic extremism.”

“It sounds a little dystopian, I’ll grant,” Roose added. “But let’s hear them out.”

The task force would eliminate multiple-agency overlap and become a central hub that could coordinate a single, strategic response to “misinformation” and “conspiracy theories,” the Times noted.

Renée DiResta, a disinformation researcher at Stanford’s Internet Observatory, told the paper such a task force could tackle “two seemingly unrelated problems: misinformation about COVID-19 and misinformation about election fraud.”

Social media wouldn’t escape, either

The Times said “several experts recommended that the Biden administration push for much more transparency into the inner workings of the black-box algorithms that Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other major platforms use to rank feeds, recommend content and usher users into private groups, many of which have been responsible for amplifying conspiracy theories and extremist views.”

Donovan added to the paper that “we must open the hood on social media so that civil rights lawyers and real watchdog organizations can investigate human rights abuses enabled or amplified by technology.”

Coax folks ‘off their screens’ and into programs to ‘keep them engaged and occupied’

Roose also said “many people are drawn to extremist groups like the Proud Boys and conspiracy theories like QAnon not because they’re convinced by the facts, but because the beliefs give them a sense of community or purpose, or fills a void in their lives.”

“Clearly there’s a public safety issue, but there’s also very much a public health issue,” Micah Clark — a program director at Moonshot CVE, a counterextremism firm in London — told the Times.

One effective countermeasure, Mr. Clark suggested, could be a kind of “social stimulus” — a series of federal programs to encourage people to get off their screens and into community-based activities that could keep them engaged and occupied.

Encouraging offline gatherings would, admittedly, be easier after the pandemic. But there are interventions that seem to work on a smaller scale, too — like a series of “de-escalation” ads that Moonshot CVE ran on Google and Twitter, targeting high-risk potential violent extremists with empathetic messages about mental health and mindfulness.

Most of the experts agreed that the most effective thing the Biden administration could do to fix our national reality crisis, and possibly even de-radicalize some of those who have been lured into extremist groups and conspiracy theory movements, would be to address the underlying problems that drove them there in the first place.

You can read the entire Times’ article here.

Brian Stelter Censorship of conservative voices CNN DISINFORMATION Fox News Glenn Greenwald Intelwars Media Bias watch

CNN’s Brian Stelter wants ‘liar’ Fox News’ influence reduced, claims it’s not ‘censorship’: ‘Freedom of speech is not the same as freedom of reach’

CNN’s Brian Stelter said Fox News’ influence must be reduced. But fear not. The fast-talking host of “Reliable Sources” said during his Sunday broadcast that it’s not censorship he’s talking about.

“Reducing a liar’s reach is not the same as censoring freedom of speech,” he said. “Freedom of speech is different than freedom of reach — and algorithmic reach is part of the problem.”

Stelter’s monologue was all about “reducing information pollution” — and he said it can be accomplished through a ‘harm reduction model.”

Say what?

Fox News uttered the word “censorship” 400 times in January, Stelter claimed, adding that it’s “patently false” that CNN is trying to force Fox News off the air. (Even though CNN personalities last month said cable companies should face questions as to why they carry Fox News — and even “step in and kick Fox News off.”)

Rather Stelter insisted that Fox News simply needs to change its tune.

“News consumers are both overfed and malnourished at the same time, gorging on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies,” he said. “It’s impossible to make those lies go away, but they can be reduced. All right? Harm reduction.”

Stelter then called out Fox News’ Tucker Carlson for “declaring that unity for Dems means locking up their opponents, and quote, ‘You can now be arrested for saying the wrong thing.’ What?”

The apparently shocked Stelter failed to mention that Carlson’s primary issue was the FBI’s jaw-dropping arrest and indictment of a man for — checking notes, hang on — tweeting election memes.

Anyway, Stelter continued his dramatic speech, accusing Fox News of being part of a “radicalization pipeline that pits neighbor against neighbor and lets fear overpower courage. And it poisons American politics.”

But again, don’t worry. Stelter said he doesn’t want to cancel his rival cable news channel.

“Most of the criticism of Fox News is not aimed at shutting it down, which will never happen anyway,” he said before adding an unbelievable declaration. “It’s about making Fox better. Putting the news back in Fox News. They keep going the other way. If Fox is gonna keep transitioning into the ’24/7 Tucker Channel,’ then maybe it belongs next to SciFi on your channel lineup, not MSNBC.”

Then Stelter uttered his coup de grace of self-awareness starvation: “These need to be nuanced conversations — not edicts, not orders … but harm reduction is possible … by adding more news and less opinion to the content.”

Apparently there’s a shortage of mirrors in the CNN newsroom.

Big pushback

Journalist Glenn Greenwald seems to think so, ripping Stelter on Twitter: “Beyond all the creepy aspects of *journalists* again taking the lead in demanding media voices be repressed, @brianstelter’s claim that ‘freedom of speech is different than freedom of reach’ is totally false and has been rejected by courts for decades.”

Greenwald added, “Also, CNN lies and spreads conspiracy theories constantly. They’re a pro-Democratic Party outlet that barely airs any dissent from the DNC line. If @brianstelter‘s standards for banishing Fox were applied equally, it’d affect all cable news outlets, not just one.”

all-time low Biased brainwashing Business control DISINFORMATION distrust elitists Federal Reserve Government Headline News Intelwars LIES Mainstream media manipulations MISINFORMATION Opinions pass the blame propaganda public relations arm ruling class shaped and molded trust in media United States

Trust In MSM Is At An All Time Low & They Say It’s YOUR Fault

Americans’ trust in the mainstream has never been lower. But they aren’t taking responsibility for the lies, propaganda, and misleading news reports, it is all our fault for using our own minds and our own discernment to logically understand what they are doing.

We all know the mainstream media is the public relations arm of the Federal Reserve, the ruling class, and the elitists. We all know we shouldn’t trust them. We have all gotten the sense or seen in front of our own two eyes evidence of their biased lie-filled reports.  So it’s our fault we aren’t trusting them anymore.

Rather than attempt to repair the relationship with the public, media outlets blame their audience for the distrust and for poor “information hygiene,” according to a report by RT.  Long headed for a complete collapse, Americans’ trust in the media establishment hit an all-time low in 2021, falling three points overall to just 46 percent, according to Edelman’s most recent annual survey. The figure marks the first time Americans’ trust in journalism sank below the 50 percent mark.

Americans’ trust in social media also hit rock bottom, clocking in at a miserable 27 percent, according to Edelman’s annual “trust barometer.” Globally, people’s faith in social media wasn’t much better, with just 35 percent of users deeming it a trustworthy source for “general news and information.”

Survey respondents did not hesitate to expound on their dim view of the journalistic profession, either – 56 percent of Americans agreed the media was “purposely trying to mislead people by saying things they know are false or gross exaggerations,” while 58 percent agreed most outlets were “more concerned with supporting an ideology or political position than informing the public.” –RT

Some suggested that reading or listening to “independent” media,  including Edelman itself,  was the problem. When applying truth and logic, however, the trust crisis has a lot less to do with the media losing its touch than it does with Americans becoming savvier regarding the manipulation of their opinions, thoughts, and behaviors.

The only group trusted by a majority of Americans out of Government, Media, NGOs, and Business in 2021 was, ironically, Big Business – even though corporations largely pull the strings of the media, politics, and the other institutions so many Americans seem to agree are not trustworthy. –RT

In other words, there’s still some realization and waking up to do about this horrific system of oppression we all live under.

Even while admitting that media distrust was a global issue rather than a function of Donald Trump’s war on ‘fake news,’” Axios appeared to blame its audience for their refusal to put their faith in the Fourth Estate, posting a series of links tipping worried journalists off on why their propaganda might be missing the mark. Clutching pearls on topics from the Covid-19 pandemic and “vaccine hesitancy” to the US election scandals, the overarching message was simple – don’t confuse your audience with opinions other than the one you want them to have. –RT

Welcome to 2021, folks. This all about the global system of totalitarian control being rolled out at break-neck speed. Wake up, stay aware, and alert.  Go gray if you have to and make no mistake, the totalitarian power grab is not over. For all intents and purposes, we are now living through Obama’s third term.

Another “Pre-Crime” AI System Claims It Can Predict Who Will Share Disinformation Before It’s Published

This article was originally published at Activist Post.

We previously have covered the many weighty claims made by the progenitors of A.I. algorithms who claim that their technology can stop crime before it happens. Similar predictive A.I. is increasingly being used to stop the spread of misinformation, disinformation, and general “fake news” by analyzing trends in behavior and language used across social media.

However, as we’ve also covered, these systems have more often than not failed quite spectacularly, as many artificial intelligence experts and mathematicians have highlighted. One expert in particular — Uri Gal, Associate Professor in Business Information Systems, at the University of Sydney, Australia — noted that from what he has seen so far, these systems are “no better at telling the future than a crystal ball.”

Please keep this in mind as you look at the latest lofty pronouncements from the University of Sheffield below. Nevertheless, we should also be aware that — similar to their real-world counterparts in street-level pre-crime — these systems most likely will be rolled out across social media (if they haven’t been already) regardless, until further exposure of their inherent flaws, biases, and their own disinformation is revealed.

AI can predict Twitter users likely to spread disinformation before they do it

A new artificial-intelligence-based algorithm that can accurately predict which Twitter users will spread disinformation before they actually do it has been developed by researchers from the University of Sheffield.

  • University of Sheffield researchers have developed an artificial intelligence-based algorithm that can accurately predict (79.7 percent) which Twitter users are likely to share content from unreliable news sources before they actually do it
  • Study found that Twitter users who spread disinformation mostly tweet about politics or religion, whereas users who share reliable sources of news tweet more about their personal lives
  • Research also found that Twitter users who share disinformation use impolite language more frequently than users who share reliable news sources
  • Findings could help governments and social media companies such as Twitter and Facebook better understand user behavior and help them design more effective models for tackling the spread of disinformation

A new artificial-intelligence-based algorithm that can accurately predict which Twitter users will spread disinformation before they actually do it has been developed by researchers from the University of Sheffield.

A team of researchers, led by Yida Mu and Dr. Nikos Aletras from the University’s Department of Computer Science, has developed a method for predicting whether a social media user is likely to share content from unreliable news sources. Their findings have been published in the journal PeerJ.

The researchers analyzed over 1 million tweets from approximately 6,200 Twitter users by developing new natural language processing methods – ways to help computers process and understand huge amounts of language data. The tweets they studied were all tweets that were publicly available for anyone to see on the social media platform.

Twitter users were grouped into two categories as part of the study – those who have shared unreliable news sources and those who only share stories from reliable news sources. The data was used to train a machine-learning algorithm that can accurately predict (79.7 percent) whether a user will repost content from unreliable sources sometime in the future.

Results from the study found that Twitter users who shared stories from unreliable sources are more likely to tweet about either politics or religion and use impolite language. They often posted tweets with words such as ‘liberal’, ‘government’, ‘media’, and their tweets often related to politics in the Middle East and Islam, with their tweets often mentioning ‘Islam’ or ‘Israel’.

In contrast, the study found that Twitter users who shared stories from reliable news sources often tweeted about their personal life, such as their emotions and interactions with friends. This group of users often posted tweets with words such as ‘mood’. ‘wanna’, ‘gonna’, ‘I’ll’, ‘excited’, and ‘birthday’.

Findings from the study could help social media companies such as Twitter and Facebook develop ways to tackle the spread of disinformation online. They could also help social scientists and psychologists improve their understanding of such user behavior on a large scale.

Dr. Nikos Aletras, Lecturer in Natural Language Processing at the University of Sheffield, said:

Social media has become one of the most popular ways that people access the news, with millions of users turning to platforms such as Twitter and Facebook every day to find out about key events that are happening both at home and around the world. However, social media has become the primary platform for spreading disinformation, which is having a huge impact on society and can influence people’s judgement of what is happening in the world around them.

As part of our study, we identified certain trends in user behaviour that could help with those efforts – for example, we found that users who are most likely to share news stories from unreliable sources often tweet about politics or religion, whereas those who share stories from reliable news sources often tweeted about their personal lives.

We also found that the correlation between the use of impolite language and the spread of unreliable content can be attributed to high online political hostility.

Yida Mu, a Ph.D. student at the University of Sheffield, said:

Studying and analysing the behaviour of users sharing content from unreliable news sources can help social media platforms to prevent the spread of fake news at the user level, complementing existing fact-checking methods that work on the post or the news source level.

The study, Identifying Twitter users who repost unreliable news sources with linguistic information, is published in PeerJ. To access the paper in full, visit: https://doi.org/10.7717/peerj-cs.325

Undermining Democracy

Last Thursday, Rudy Giuliani, a Trump campaign lawyer, alleged a widespread voting conspiracy involving Venezuela, Cuba, and China. Another lawyer, Sidney Powell, argued that Mr. Trump won in a landslide, the entire election in swing states should be overturned and the legislatures should make sure that the electors are selected for the president.

The Republican National Committee swung in to support her false claim that Mr. Trump won in a landslide, while Michigan election officials have tried to stop the certification of the vote.

It is wildly unlikely that their efforts can block Joe Biden from becoming president. But they may still do lasting damage to American democracy for a shocking reason: the moves have come from trusted insiders.

American democracy’s vulnerability to disinformation has been very much in the news since the Russian disinformation campaign in 2016. The fear is that outsiders, whether they be foreign or domestic actors, will undermine our system by swaying popular opinion and election results.

This is half right. American democracy is an information system, in which the information isn’t bits and bytes but citizens’ beliefs. When peoples’ faith in the democratic system is undermined, democracy stops working. But as information security specialists know, outsider attacks are hard. Russian trolls, who don’t really understand how American politics works, have actually had a difficult time subverting it.

When you really need to worry is when insiders go bad. And that is precisely what is happening in the wake of the 2020 presidential election. In traditional information systems, the insiders are the people who have both detailed knowledge and high level access, allowing them to bypass security measures and more effectively subvert systems. In democracy, the insiders aren’t just the officials who manage voting but also the politicians who shape what people believe about politics. For four years, Donald Trump has been trying to dismantle our shared beliefs about democracy. And now, his fellow Republicans are helping him.

Democracy works when we all expect that votes will be fairly counted, and defeated candidates leave office. As the democratic theorist Adam Przeworski puts it, democracy is “a system in which parties lose elections.” These beliefs can break down when political insiders make bogus claims about general fraud, trying to cling to power when the election has gone against them.

It’s obvious how these kinds of claims damage Republican voters’ commitment to democracy. They will think that elections are rigged by the other side and will not accept the judgment of voters when it goes against their preferred candidate. Their belief that the Biden administration is illegitimate will justify all sorts of measures to prevent it from functioning.

It’s less obvious that these strategies affect Democratic voters’ faith in democracy, too. Democrats are paying attention to Republicans’ efforts to stop the votes of Democratic voters - and especially Black Democratic voters - from being counted. They, too, are likely to have less trust in elections going forward, and with good reason. They will expect that Republicans will try to rig the system against them. Mr. Trump is having a hard time winning unfairly, because he has lost in several states. But what if Mr. Biden’s margin of victory depended only on one state? What if something like that happens in the next election?

The real fear is that this will lead to a spiral of distrust and destruction. Republicans who are increasingly committed to the notion that the Democrats are committing pervasive fraud - will do everything that they can to win power and to cling to power when they can get it. Democrats - seeing what Republicans are doing will try to entrench themselves in turn. They suspect that if the Republicans really win power, they will not ever give it back. The claims of Republicans like Senator Mike Lee of Utah that America is not really a democracy might become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

More likely, this spiral will not directly lead to the death of American democracy. The U.S. federal system of government is complex and hard for any one actor or coalition to dominate completely. But it may turn American democracy into an unworkable confrontation between two hostile camps, each unwilling to make any concession to its adversary.

We know how to make voting itself more open and more secure; the literature is filled with vital and important suggestions. The more difficult problem is this. How do you shift the collective belief among Republicans that elections are rigged?

Political science suggests that partisans are more likely to be persuaded by fellow partisans, like Brad Raffensperger, the Republican secretary of state in Georgia, who said that election fraud wasn’t a big problem. But this would only be effective if other well-known Republicans supported him.

Public outrage, alternatively, can sometimes force officials to back down, as when people crowded in to denounce the Michigan Republican election officials who were trying to deny certification of their votes.

The fundamental problem, however, is Republican insiders who have convinced themselves that to keep and hold power, they need to trash the shared beliefs that hold American democracy together.

They may have long-term worries about the consequences, but they’re unlikely to do anything about those worries in the near-term unless voters, wealthy donors or others whom they depend on make them pay short-term costs.

2020 Was a Secure Election

Over at Lawfare: “2020 Is An Election Security Success Story (So Far).”

What’s more, the voting itself was remarkably smooth. It was only a few months ago that professionals and analysts who monitor election administration were alarmed at how badly unprepared the country was for voting during a pandemic. Some of the primaries were disasters. There were not clear rules in many states for voting by mail or sufficient opportunities for voting early. There was an acute shortage of poll workers. Yet the United States saw unprecedented turnout over the last few weeks. Many states handled voting by mail and early voting impressively and huge numbers of volunteers turned up to work the polls. Large amounts of litigation before the election clarified the rules in every state. And for all the president’s griping about the counting of votes, it has been orderly and apparently without significant incident. The result was that, in the midst of a pandemic that has killed 230,000 Americans, record numbers of Americans voted — and voted by mail — and those votes are almost all counted at this stage.

On the cybersecurity front, there is even more good news. Most significantly, there was no serious effort to target voting infrastructure. After voting concluded, the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Chris Krebs, released a statement, saying that “after millions of Americans voted, we have no evidence any foreign adversary was capable of preventing Americans from voting or changing vote tallies.” Krebs pledged to “remain vigilant for any attempts by foreign actors to target or disrupt the ongoing vote counting and final certification of results,” and no reports have emerged of threats to tabulation and certification processes.

A good summary.

Censorship: Facebook Bans Anti-Vaccine Ads Ahead of COVID Vaccine Rollout

Facebook announced on Tuesday that the social media giant will ban all ads encouraging people to avoid vaccination. Facebook is now censoring factual information on the adverse health and side effects of getting vaccinated.

Anyone paying attention knows that there will be a COVID-19 vaccine, and it will, for all intents and purposes, be mandated for all and distributed by the military. This is not news to most, however, the propaganda campaign has begun, and Facebook will assist the tyrants with censorship.

“Our goal is to help messages about the safety and efficacy of vaccines reach a broad group of people while prohibiting ads with misinformation that could harm public health efforts,” Facebook’s head of health initiatives, Kang-Xing Jin, said in a blog post, according to the Hill.We don’t want these ads on our platform.”

The truth is, doctors and others have expressed concerns about vaccine safety, and this is not new. But the push to make sure everyone is vaccinated is new. So is the blatant censorship. As with other tightenings on free speech, enforcing the new ban on anti-vaccination ads will be crucial.

Trump: “The Military Is Ready To Deliver A Vaccine”

Facebook has chosen sides.  They did a long time ago. They are not on the side of the people and will do what is necessary to see the elitists rollout the New World Order.

The military is still set to distribute a vaccine to all 324 million Americans and this censorship is part of the propaganda campaign pushed by Bill Gates to attempt to manipulate people into getting vaccinated.

Medical Journal: Get The COVID-19 Vaccine, Or Be Punished HARSHLY

According to the report by TheHill, Tuesday’s policy update will not affect user-generated content about vaccines, including the private Facebook groups and Instagram pages. So far, Facebook claims they will allow critics of vaccination the free speech that was already their birthright.

Using Disinformation to Cause a Blackout

Interesting paper: “How weaponizing disinformation can bring down a city’s power grid“:

Abstract: Social media has made it possible to manipulate the masses via disinformation and fake news at an unprecedented scale. This is particularly alarming from a security perspective, as humans have proven to be one of the weakest links when protecting critical infrastructure in general, and the power grid in particular. Here, we consider an attack in which an adversary attempts to manipulate the behavior of energy consumers by sending fake discount notifications encouraging them to shift their consumption into the peak-demand period. Using Greater London as a case study, we show that such disinformation can indeed lead to unwitting consumers synchronizing their energy-usage patterns, and result in blackouts on a city-scale if the grid is heavily loaded. We then conduct surveys to assess the propensity of people to follow-through on such notifications and forward them to their friends. This allows us to model how the disinformation may propagate through social networks, potentially amplifying the attack impact. These findings demonstrate that in an era when disinformation can be weaponized, system vulnerabilities arise not only from the hardware and software of critical infrastructure, but also from the behavior of the consumers.

I’m not sure the attack is practical, but it’s an interesting idea.

Fake Stories in Real News Sites

Fireeye is reporting that a hacking group called Ghostwriter broke into the content management systems of Eastern European news sites to plant fake stories.

From a Wired story:

The propagandists have created and disseminated disinformation since at least March 2017, with a focus on undermining NATO and the US troops in Poland and the Baltics; they’ve posted fake content on everything from social media to pro-Russian news websites. In some cases, FireEye says, Ghostwriter has deployed a bolder tactic: hacking the content management systems of news websites to post their own stories. They then disseminate their literal fake news with spoofed emails, social media, and even op-eds the propagandists write on other sites that accept user-generated content.

That hacking campaign, targeting media sites from Poland to Lithuania, has spread false stories about US military aggression, NATO soldiers spreading coronavirus, NATO planning a full-on invasion of Belarus, and more.

China Furious After Twitter Retroactively Tags Tweets From Top Officials

This article was originally published by Tyler Durden at ZeroHedge.

Aside from a string of tweets from Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s PR machine has been strangely quiet during the dust-up over the extremely controversial decision to tag several tweets from President Trump as “misinformation”.

And now we know why. Among the reasons Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg cited for why social media companies shouldn’t strive to be “arbiters of truth” is the Sisyphean task of filtering, screening, and analyzing an endless stream of information. Given the massive user bases of these companies, consistency would be nearly impossible, opening the door to yet more accusations of bias. And for what?

Perhaps that’s why Twitter has spent the last day or so retroactively tagging tweets from certain officials with the Chinese government that also contain “misinformation” – some of it claiming that the coronavirus originated in the US.

Mouthpieces for Beijing, and for practically every government, even Venezuela and Iran (two countries that have drawn scrutiny from Twitter in the form of mass account-deletion) are active on Twitter. And one of the most effective arguments against Twitter’s decision to label Trump’s tweets is that the company hasn’t done nearly enough to filter out far more sinister actors, like ISIS recruiters, or stooges from Russia, China, Iran and America’s myriad geopolitical enemies – and some of our allies too.

Interestingly, a quick look at the foreign ministry spokesman’s feed shows that only a few tweets have been labeled.

Furthermore, aside from the occasional reference to the “terrorists” threatening law and order in Hong Kong, the feed looks almost identical to one of those left-wing rose emoji accounts with 5k-10k followers.

Meanwhile, Taiwan has continued to poke and prod at Beijing by speaking out in defense of Hong Kong. A top Taiwanese official said prosperity and stability cannot be easily disrupted by separatist forces, rebutting Beijing’s accusations of “terrorism”.

As the conversation about Twitter’s role in moderating ‘the conversation’ unfurls on twitter, two analysts with Height Capital Markets argued that the White House’s new executive order has “more bark than bite”. Investors, looking at this morning’s performance, have taken a decidedly different view.

President Donald Trump’s pending social media executive order is likely “more bark than bite,” Height Capital Markets analysts Chase White and Clayton Allen wrote in a note, citing news reports suggesting the order will address Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, the liability shield intended to protect Internet platforms from content posted on their sites.

Meanwhile, we’re seeing some interesting action in twitter shares premarket…

…buybacks?

But whatever happens, we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the Ayatollah’s twitter feed. Will the company dare to apply these misinformation labels to Iran’s supreme leader?

The Crisis Won’t Stop Until The Globalists Are Removed From Power

This article was originally published by Brandon Smith at Alt-Market.

In the first week of February I published an article titled ‘The Lies We Are Being Told About The Coronavirus’. I focused primarily on the disinformation coming out of China, and for those with short memories, there was a flood of it being spread on various web forums by what I believe was an army of paid disinformation agents. The lies seemed to revolve around keeping the rest of the world passive to the potential threat by promoting a set of assumptions:

1) The disinfo suppressed the information on human-to-human spread and the level of infections, suggesting that the virus was not very transmissible or that it “only infects Asians” (anyone who actually believed this nonsense at the time was truly gullible).

2) The disinfo suppressed the actual number of deaths in China to minimize the response time of people in other countries. The assumption was “it’s nothing, why worry”. Well, as we now know, there is no way China has only suffered 4600 deaths. All the evidence leaked by health officials on the ground in China suggested a much higher number of deaths, but the disinfo was enough to keep many people from taking the threat seriously.

3) The disinfo hid the source of the virus, claiming it came from an animal/food market in Wuhan even though many of the initial patients infected by the coronavirus never had any contact with the market.  This was openly admitted by scientists within China as far back as January.  Remember the “bat soup” rumors?  All lies.  And perhaps not coincidentally, the only Level 4 Biohazard lab in Asia, which studies specifically in SARS-like viruses, is right down the road from that same market.

4) The disinformation was not only coming from China. The World Health Organization consistently tried to downplay the spread of the virus, refusing to call it a pandemic for months even though it fit all their criteria. They also lavished China with praise, taking all data the Chinese government reported as if it were verified fact and defended China against any and all detractors.

5) The level of disinformation coming from US government sources, the White House and social media companies was almost enough to match China’s lies. The US government and the WHO have been working closely with social media corporations to disrupt any analysis that runs contrary to the Chinese narrative as well as the WHO narrative.

While Donald Trump and the DoD are suddenly interested in the possibility that Covid-19 is a bioweapon (something that those of us in the alternative media tried to report months ago), at the end of January Trump was also offering China praise, saying that their data was accurate and everything was “under control”.

Dr. Anthony Fauci was in the media saying :

“This is not a major threat to the people of the United States and this is not something that the citizens of the United States should be worried about right now…”

Fauci would later go on to change his tune completely, calling for strict government controls of social behavior in order to stop the spread of the virus.

The CDC and the mainstream media actively attempted to obstruct any information that might suggest the coronavirus was made in a lab, even though in 2017 experts in bio-safety warned that the lab in Wuhan might eventually cause a dangerous virus to “escape” due to lax standards.  Slapped together studies based on a long list of assumptions (such as the false assumption that any bioweapon would be engineered to kill a maximum number of people) were designed to “debunk” the theory, but only served to raise more questions as people began to wonder why certain “experts” and journalists were so intent on dismissing the bioweapon issue so out of hand based.

6) In the meantime, the most egregious disinformation in the US centered on the economy. Trump’s economic adviser Larry Kudlow claimed on February 4th that the damage to the US economy from the virus would be ‘minimal’. With over 26 million people now added to the unemployment rolls, millions of small business owners desperate for bailout money, GDP in freefall, manufacturing in freefall and supply chains strained to the breaking point, I think it’s safe to say Larry Kudlow is either a complete moron or he was dutifully reading from a propaganda script that was given to him.

As I noted in February:

The US economy is interdependent with multiple nations and is tightly connected to China. The greatest danger of globalism in terms of economics is that it forces national economies into losing the redundancies that protect them from systemic collapse. When one major economy goes down, it brings down all other economies with it.

Not only that, but the US financial structure is precariously unstable anyway, with record levels of national debt, consumer debt, and corporate debt, not to mention steep declines in manufacturing and demand. The US sits atop one of the most massive economic bubbles of all time – The Everything Bubble, created by the Federal Reserve over ten years of stimulus measures, barely keeping the system alive in a state of zombification.

The bubble was always going to collapse. In fact, recent events in Fed repo markets suggest it was already collapsing. The coronavirus outbreak is a perfect cover event for this implosion…”

The downplaying of the economic danger in particular, the lies all over the web about N95 masks not working, the claims that buying food and supplies is “panic behavior” akin to hoarding, a few months ago everything seemed designed to convince the public to NOT prepare for this event. And it was not just China and the WHO behind it; it was also our own government, the White House and the mainstream media.

Now, there is still ample debate about how deadly Covid-19 really is. Is it really “no worse than the flu”? I have seen data that suggests that there are many more infected people than initially believed which would diminish the death rate. I have also seen data that suggests that deaths from the virus are being under-reported, just like they were in China.

I say it is foolish to rush to conclusions until the virus actually runs the same course and infects hundreds of millions of people as the flu does annually. I will also say that I have never heard of hospitals and morgues being overwhelmed by the flu in modern times like they have been overwhelmed by the coronavirus, but this debate is a distraction from the real issue – It DOES NOT MATTER how deadly the virus is, what matters is that the current government response is unacceptable regardless.

The false dichotomy being constructed right now is that you either believe the virus is a horrible killer plague and that martial law is necessary to stop it, or, you believe the entire pandemic is somehow “staged” and that the whole thing is a hoax, making martial law unnecessary.

The truth is more likely somewhere in-between. The virus is a moderate threat, it is most likely a chimera with SARS-like qualities, it is indeed killing many people but it is certainly not the Black Plague (a friend of mine just lost someone in their mid-40’s with no previous conditions; it is still smart to take precautions), and even if it was it would not matter because government tyranny and economic lockdown do not solve the problem, they only make the situation much worse.

Now that the Chinese propaganda campaign is falling apart as the data continues to contradict what they initially reported, I have to point out, as mentioned above, that China did not do all this alone. It had the help of the UN, the mainstream media, and yes, even the CDC and the White House. Without all these entities working together to suppress information on the threat and its source, the public would have had far more time to prepare. And most of all, if governments including our own had restricted travel from China a month sooner when it was clear that human-to-human transmission of the virus was a reality, then the pandemic may have never happened in the first place.

Yet, they did not. Why?

Why was the threat downplayed and ignored? Why was travel from China kept open for weeks after the pandemic began killing thousands? Why did everyone including Trump defend China initially, only to now accuse them of at the very least negligence, and at worst biowarfare?

I have a theory, of course. I outlined the problem in great detail in my article ‘How Viral Pandemic Serves The Globalist Agenda’, published in January. This article stemmed from another article I wrote in 2014 during the Ebola event which predicted everything that is now happening today. And, this month I published an analysis on open globalists admissions on how they plan to use the pandemic to promote the one-world cashless society and medical tyranny in my article ‘Waves Of Mutilation: Medical Tyranny And The Cashless Society’.

The narrative has shifted into blaming China for everything, and they are certainly guilty of many crimes, but they are only partly responsible for the disaster. China as a whole is not the prime beneficiary of the crisis. In fact, they are suffering from an economic collapse like most other nations. But, the globalists within China, the globalists within the WHO, the globalists within the US including those in Trump’s cabinet, all benefit greatly. And this is where many people simply can’t wrap their heads around the scenario.

They can accept the idea of a Chinese conspiracy, or a UN conspiracy, or even a Trump conspiracy, but the idea that there are elites within all these countries and the White House working together? Well that’s just “crazy”, right?

I’m sorry to say that this is the reality. The US and Canada poured millions of dollars into the experiments at the Wuhan lab and the funding was greenlit by none other than Dr. Anthony Fauci in 2015. Trump’s cabinet is stacked with global elites and people like Dr. Fauci that are intimately associated with the WHO. Fauci continues to defend the WHO. Trump initially praised the Chinese response in January. The WHO has been aggressively defending the Chinese handling of the outbreak and has thoroughly praised their response, which has included using tracking apps and QR codes to watch their citizens 24/7 and implement medical totalitarianism. This same medical totalitarianism was suggested during Event 201, the “simulation” of a coronavirus pandemic funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Economic Forum which was held only TWO MONTHS before the real thing happened. This is the same medical totalitarianism that Bill Gates and others like MIT are promoting as a solution today.

The globalists have consistently called for a shift into a cashless society and a technocratic surveillance culture.  Is it not convenient that these are the solutions being consistently offered in the face of the pandemic?

If you examine the chain of events, the amount of give and take between China, the WHO, and other governments including the US government and the fact that the globalists are about to get everything they want from this catastrophe, I do not think it is outlandish to suggest that perhaps this virus was unleashed deliberately and that globalists in multiple nations are working together to achieve a specific outcome.

With the US blaming China and the Chinese blaming the US, the truth is being lost in the fog of propaganda. The truth is that BOTH sides and the WHO made this pandemic possible and that the elites on ALL sides have something to gain. The end game they desire is global governance, a one-world digital currency system, and a rationale for full-spectrum surveillance of the citizenry. The pandemic allows them to have all of this unless the people take action to fight back and disrupt their plans.

Some people will call this “wild speculation” or “conspiracy theory”, but these people are either ignorant of the facts. The evidence is substantial. I have outlined it over and over again in the past few months. Luckily, I do see a growing to counter the globalist script.  Hopefully, we have the time and tenacity to stop them from getting what they want.

Understand, however, that this crisis will not stop until the globalists are unseated.  The current “wave” of the virus is only the first.  Expect wave after wave of infections, and wave after wave of lockdowns by complicit government officials.  And when COVID-19 doesn’t scare people anymore, all the elites have to do is release ANOTHER virus with varied effects.  To stop the lockdowns and to stop the pandemic we have to stop the globalists.  We have to go to the root of the threat.

The solution is actually quite simple. Wake up, defy tyranny, and live freely. There are no orders if there are no order followers:

After Brainwashing People For Decades, MSM and Governments Are Losing Control of People

Could It Be True? Will We Be Free? MSM & Governments Will FAIL This Time, IF I Can Help It!

Chinese COVID-19 Disinformation Campaign

The New York Times is reporting on state-sponsored disinformation campaigns coming out of China:

Since that wave of panic, United States intelligence agencies have assessed that Chinese operatives helped push the messages across platforms, according to six American officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to publicly discuss intelligence matters. The amplification techniques are alarming to officials because the disinformation showed up as texts on many Americans’ cellphones, a tactic that several of the officials said they had not seen before.

This is a long and fascinating article about Gus Weiss, who masterminded a long campaign to feed technical disinformation to the Soviet Union, which may or may not have caused a massive pipeline explosion somewhere in Siberia in the 1980s, if in fact there even was a massive pipeline explosion somewhere in Siberia in the 1980s.
