Fauci appears in forum with Chinese Communist Party health expert preaching ‘global solidarity’

Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief medical adviser to President Biden, appeared in a webinar recently alongside a leading health official from the Chinese Communist Party.

During the webinar, put on by the University of Edinburgh, Fauci and Dr. Zhong Nanshan, a top official on China’s National Health Commission, discussed their hopes and fears about the future of public health and agreed that “global solidarity” is the most important factor in confronting the coronavirus pandemic as well as any dangerous pathogens that may come in the future.

“We have to maintain the spirit of solidarity, cooperation, and collaboration, and build global health security agendas and networks, so that we’re all in it together, every single country,” Fauci said during the event, in response to Zhong’s call for “global solidarity.”

Fauci added at another point: “We have been successful in the past by global cooperation with smallpox, with polio, with measles. There’s no reason in the world why we cannot do the same thing with COVID-19 by a combination of cooperative public health measures and the application of science.”

The Future of Health: Global conversations – How the pandemic remains a threat to health

Zhong, who has been described as “China’s Fauci,” spewed Chinese Communist Party propaganda about the origins of the virus and the amazing success of the Chinese response to the pandemic during his opening remarks.

The Chinese official conveniently started his timeline of coronavirus in China on Jan. 20, more than a month after the virus had started spreading in Wuhan while reports about its dangers were being silenced by the Chinese government. Fauci sat silently.

Then, Zhong produced a chart showing how the United States has had the world’s worst response to the virus, while China remarkably has had the best. Again, Fauci said nothing, despite the U.S. intelligence community’s understanding that China’s numbers are “fake.”

In fact, Fauci would later highlight the importance of Wuhan-style lockdowns to “suppress” the virus, saying, “To emphasize something that both of us said: If we do not completely suppress this, we will continue to be challenged by variants which have a way of coming back to bite us.”

Fauci stressed the great need for “a multi-year, decades[-long] commitment, and that is to make and strive for essentially access to quality healthcare for everyone in the world, so that health is really a human right in many respects.”

In his coverage of the event, national security reporter Jordan Schachtel noted that while the webinar received comparatively little U.S. press, it was received with praise by government officials and state-run media in China. Here are a few examples:

Bill Gates praised China’s COVID response, trashed America’s, then had his words immediately used by Chinese propagandists

Billionaire Microsoft founder Bill Gates recently defended the communist Chinese government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, arguing that they “did a lot of things right at the beginning.” As for America’s response to the virus — he said that it was “particularly poor.”

His stunning comments came during an interview with Fareed Zakaria on CNN Sunday.

What did he say?

“How would you respond to the charge that the Chinese covered this up, they essentially deceived the rest of the world, and as a result, they should be held in someway responsible for this?” Zakaria asked Gates during the interview.

“Well, I don’t think that’s a timely thing because it doesn’t affect how we act today. China did a lot of things right at the beginning,” Gates said in response. “Like any country where a virus first shows up, they can look back and see where they missed some things.”

“Some countries did respond very quickly and get their testing in place and they avoided the incredible economic pain, and it’s sad that even the U.S., that you would have expected to do this well, did it particularly poorly,” Gates went on to claim.

Gates went on to call criticisms of China “a distraction.”

That’s not right at all

Gates seems to have forgotten that Chinese authorities have been lying about the virus since the start of the outbreak late last year in Wuhan.

They censured and reprimanded early whistleblowers who sought to inform the public about the dangers of a novel coronavirus spreading within Wuhan. Health care workers were silenced and citizen journalists went missing. It wasn’t until December 31 that China finally reported the virus to the country’s World Health Organization office.

Officials claimed that the outbreak started in a Wuhan wet market where bats were sold, but is becoming more and more likely that the virus accidentally originated in a Wuhan virology lab. Officials claimed for weeks that the virus could not spread between humans despite very early evidence of human-to-human transmission. For at least 6 key days, they peddled the lies.

Even after the virus spread worldwide, the Chinese government continued to lie about the extent of the outbreak within its own country. Officials have gone so far as to blame the U.S. for the pandemic, claiming that the U.S. military developed the virus and infected China and Europe.

Chinese state propaganda

Almost immediately after the interview, Gates’ remarks in defense of China were promoted by Chinese state propagandists.

Chen Weihua, China Daily’s European Union bureau chief, posted the clip on Twitter, writing, “Bill Gates blasts Trump’s blame game on China as a distraction.”

China is using Trevor Noah’s videos from ‘The Daily Show’ to bash Trump in their propaganda

The communist Chinese government is utilizing video from comedian Trevor Noah in order to bash President Donald Trump in their propaganda, said a New York Times report.

The report documented some of the ways that the Chinese government is downplaying how bad coronavirus hit Wuham, where it originated, while exaggerating the decimation in Italy and Spain.

Among the propaganda tools used in China to mislead their citizens is video of Noah from “The Daily Show” giving a scathing criticism of the response to the pandemic by Trump.

“The website of Global Times, a tabloid controlled by the Communist Party, added Chinese subtitles to a video from Mr. Noah’s show that featured President Trump and many Fox News personalities, showing how for weeks they played down the risks of the coronavirus,” said Li Yuan, the New York Times’ Asia tech columnist.

Yuan added that these videos were propagated with disturbing headlines, such as “Blood is on their hands and they should all be sued!”

She offered her personal recollection of being subjected to Chinese propaganda as a child.

These tactics aren’t new. Many Chinese children of my generation read a newspaper column for students called “Socialism Is Good. Capitalism Is Bad.” Each week, it described the wonders of China alongside the hardships of capitalist societies. The lesson: Socialist China takes care of its people, while people in the United States go hungry and the elderly die alone.

Even if the stories were true, they didn’t represent the full picture. Chinese children like me pitied Americans even when almost all of China lived in poverty. How much would we have envied them if we had known that most could eat meat whenever they liked?

The report goes on to document how many writers and vloggers have vanished in China when they tried to report on the real situation against the government’s wishes.

On Monday, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) said that the evidence pointed to China purposely seeding coronavirus cases in other countries in order to strengthen their relative global power.

Here’s more about Chinese culpability for the pandemic:

Tom Cotton accuses China of intentionally seeding coronavirus cases in other countries to maintain power

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) said that he believed China purposely seeded the coronavirus in other countries in order to maintain their relative global power.

Cotton made the stunning accusations in an interview with Pat Robertson at CBN News.

“I think it’s pretty clear that China is culpable for unleashing this pandemic on the world,” said Cotton.

“First off, as you just reported, all the evidence, circumstantial to be sure, but all the evidence right now points to these laboratories in Wuhan as the most likely source for this virus. Perhaps it was an accidental breach that resulted from Chinese incompetence, but still they knew the risks, they knew the shortcomings in those labs,” he explained.

“But even worse, by late December, early January, once it became clear to the Chinese communist party leaders that this virus was highly contagious and deadly and was being transmitted from humans to humans, they continued to encourage travel outside of China to the rest of the world,” said Cotton.

“I believe that was a deliberate decision that was designed to seed cases around the world so China wouldn’t be the only nation that suffered a relative decline of its power,” he claimed.

“That’s why I think China is culpable for this pandemic,” Cotton concluded, “and why there has to be consequences for them.”

Robertson was stunned at the accusation from Cotton against China, prompting the senator to list the many human rights violations of the communist government, including concentration camps against religious minority groups.

“They force women to have abortions, they harvest organs from political prisoners. And of course their communist forebears in the Chinese communist party, going back to the 1940s, are responsible for the deaths of tens of millions of their own people,” said Cotton.

“Those kinds of people would think of nothing of putting this virus outside of China’s borders, if that’s what it took to maintain China’s relative power in the world,” he concluded.

Robertson highlighted the growing possibility of a military conflict over Chinese aggression in the South China Sea. Cotton dismissed any military conflict but said that China had to face some
punitive consequences for their actions.

Democratic senator says Trump, not China, is to blame for the coronavirus crisis

Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut was hit with a wave of criticism after he said that China was not to blame for the coronavirus crisis in the United States.

Murphy made the comments in an interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN Wednesday.

He was describing a closed door meeting at the White House in February about the coronavirus where he claimed the administration was not taking the threat seriously.

“They were just incredibly confident that they had beaten coronavirus, at that time there were only a few cases here, they were reflecting what the president said in those clips because they thought that the travel bans had kept it out of the United States,” Murphy said.

“We told them that they needed money, and they needed money fast in order to buy supplies, in order to hire more staff, and they told us that they didn’t need any funding, that they had everything that they needed, and I walked out of that closed door briefing uhm, just with chills running down my spine, because many of us on both sides of the aisle knew what this virus had done in China,” he explained.

“We knew it was a matter of time before it arrived here, and it was just shocking how cavalier the administration was,” he claimed.

“This was at a time when the president really, you know, viewed this as a hoax, he said so on TV, and the reason that we’re in the crisis that we are today is not because of anything China did, it’s not because of anything the WHO did, it’s because of what this president, and it’s because he didn’t take this virus seriously,” said Murphy.

“We weren’t gonna be able to keep every case out of the United States,” he concluded, “but we didn’t have to have tens of thousands of people dying.”

Murphy immediately received criticism on social media, and he offered a clarification on his comments.

“Watch the whole interview. I didn’t ‘defend China’. I made the accurate point that no matter how badly China screwed up, 100,000 Americans didn’t need to die,” Murphy tweeted.

“It has been Trump’s botched response that has caused our outbreak to be this catastrophic,” he added.

Also on Wednesday, a Fox News report documented claims from more sources that China had originated the virus in a laboratory in Wuhan, China.

Breaking: Sources claim coronavirus originated in Wuhan lab as a result of China trying to surpass the US

A Fox News report provided more evidence that the coronavirus originated in a laboratory from Wuhan, China, and provided a motivation relating to China trying to surpass the United States.

The report relied on multiple sources telling Fox News they had access to knowledge about China’s early reaction to the spread of the virus and documents relating to the pandemic.

According to the report, the virus spread as a result of Chinese efforts to challenge the United States in their ability to identify and combat viruses.

One of the sources said it may be the “costliest government coverup of all time.”

The report however refuted speculation that the pandemic was an intentional bio-weapon spread to damage the United States and other rivals of China.

The sources claim that the virus was transmitted from a bat to a human at the Institute of Virology lab in Wuhan.

While some experts have theorized that the virus might have originated in the “wet markets” in Wuhan, others have noted the coincidental close proximity of the laboratory to the outbreak.

The report also corroborated accusations that the World Health Organization collaborated with China in order to cover up their culpability in the lethal global pandemic.

President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he would be halting payments to the WHO based on numerous mistakes the organization made as the virus spread from China to the rest of the world.

WHO official says she suspected human-to-human transmission ‘right from the start’ — but the WHO repeated China’s lies for weeks saying the opposite

A World Heath Organization official said that she suspected human-to-human transmission of the coronavirus “right from the start,” a claim that runs counter to the guidance that the organization was giving to the rest of the world during the early moments of the pandemic.

The WHO has been heavily criticized by the Trump administration and others for repeating China’s lies since the start of the pandemic as the Chinese Communist Party attempted to cover up the extent of the outbreak.

“Right from the start, from the first notification we received on the 31st of December, given that this was a cluster of pneumonia — I’m a MERS specialist, so my background is in coronaviruses and influenza — so immediately thought, given that this is a respiratory pathogen, that of course there may be human-to-human transmission,” Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove said Monday during a WHO press briefing.

Live from WHO Headquarters – coronavirus – COVID-19 daily press briefing 13 April 2020

That wasn’t the WHO’s story in January

If Dr. Kerkhove truly was confident that COVID-19 would spread through human-to-human transmission “right from the start” as she now claims, then the WHO had a funny way of disseminating that information.

On Jan. 12 — nearly two weeks after being notified about the outbreak — a WHO news release assured that “based on the preliminary information from the Chinese investigation team, no evidence of significant human-to-human transmission and no health care worker infections have been reported.”

“At this stage, there is no infection among healthcare workers, and no clear evidence of human to human transmission,” the news release added.

The day after, on Jan. 13, the WHO doubled down on the claim, and then on Jan. 14, they tripled down on it.

There were warning signs in December

Reports that the virus was spreading among Wuhan health care workers were already being circulated late last year. In December, doctors in Taiwan reportedly learned from colleagues in mainland China that medical workers were contracting the disease — which is a significant indicator of human-to-human transmission.

Additionally, an early study published in the Lancet on Jan. 2 found that only 27 of the 41 confirmed coronavirus cases in Wuhan had connections to the wet market where the virus purportedly started (though that claim is also highly dubious).

The Chinese Communist Party was attempting to control the information, however. Chinese citizen journalists and doctors, such as Li Wenliang and Ai Fen, who were attempting expose the truth about the highly contagious disease were reprimanded and silenced, and some even went missing.

Yet despite China’s suspicious censorship activity and compounding evidence that human-to-human transmission had begun, the WHO joined China in misleading the global community for weeks about the virus. Taiwanese officials even alerted the WHO about the human-to-human spread, but they were ignored.

The Daily Caller notes that “by the time the WHO acknowledged evidence of human-to-human transmission, which they did on Jan. 22, the U.S. had already detected its first coronavirus case.”

So why did the WHO “run interference” for China? Here’s one possible reason.

During his latest Wednesday night special, Glenn Beck explained why a study released by two Chinese scientists indicates that it’s far more likely the coronavirus originated from the Wuhan Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and not from bat soup as the Chinese Communist Party has been telling their own citizens — and the rest of the world.

Several Western governments have come to the same conclusion. Yet, despite all the evidence, the Chinese government continues to pump out propaganda, not only lying about the origins of the virus, but also trying to blame this pandemic on America.

China is lying about COVID-19 death toll and confirmed cases, and the US intel community knows it

The Chinese government is underreporting the outbreak of the coronavirus in its country, the U.S. intelligence community concluded in a classified report to the White House, three U.S. officials confirmed to Bloomberg News Wednesday.

The officials were not at liberty to discuss the details of the secret report, which was sent to the White House last week, but confirmed that the upshot of the report is that “China’s public reporting on cases and deaths is intentionally incomplete.”

Two officials told the news outlet that the report confirms that the communist country’s publicly reported numbers are “fake.”

As of Wednesday, China had reported about 82,000 confirmed cases of the virus resulting in around 3,300 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University. Those figures pale in comparison to the 190,000 cases and more than 4,000 deaths already recorded in the United States.

During a press briefing Tuesday, Dr. Deborah Birx, a leading health official on the White House coronavirus task force, said that China’s public reporting, or lack thereof, greatly influenced how the officials responded to the outbreak within America.

Birx argued that any lack of preparation from U.S. officials happened due to them “missing a significant amount of the data” from China.

Since the very start pandemic in Wuhan, China, earlier this year, many have suspected that the country was misleading the international community about the extent of outbreak.

On Tuesday, a Wall Street Journal report cited a top Chinese health official who admitted that the country was not reporting cases in which an individual tested positive but did not showcase any symptoms.

Only a day earlier, Bloomberg News reported on new photos of the outbreak’s initial epicenter, Wuhan, which suggest that the death toll there is far greater — possibly by tens of thousands — than what’s being reported.

Study finds 95% of worldwide cases of coronavirus could have been prevented if China had acted earlier

While many are debating the culpability of the communist Chinese government for the global pandemic, one study says that 95% of cases could have been prevented if China had only acted a few weeks earlier.

The study was conducted by researchers at the University of Southampton and considered non-pharmaceutical interventions such as travel restrictions and single case isolation.

Researches found that their research model indicated that 95% of cases would have been prevented if China had acted three weeks earlier.

Intervention one week earlier would have resulted in 86% mitigation while three weeks would have led to 66% fewer cases.

China has been excoriated by many for attempting to cover up their culpability in the spread of the global pandemic that originated in Wuhan. One Chinese official went as far as to accuse the U.S. Army of being the source of the virus.

“Our study demonstrates how important it is for countries which are facing an imminent outbreak to proactively plan a coordinated response which swiftly tackles the spread of the disease on a number of fronts,” said study author author Dr. Shengjie Lai.

The study also showed that the pandemic could have been far worse if China waited longer than they did to intervene.

A more recent report from the Wall Street Journal quoted a top Chinese health official that admitted that the country was not adding asymptomatic persons who tested positively to their national tally.

TIMELINE: The Chinese Communist Party’s Coronavirus lies and cover-up

In this episode of “GlennTV,” Glenn Beck broke down the timeline of the coronavirus outbreak to expose how China’s Communist Party lied to their own people and the rest of the world as they attempted to cover up the spread of the deadly virus.

Weeks after the Chinese government knew of the highly contagious disease spreading within their borders, the Communist Party’s leadership covered up and withheld information from their own citizens, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Early whistleblowers were
censured, reprimanded, or went missing. One scientist who issued an early warning, Dr. Li Wenliang, has since died, reportedly from the COVID-19 virus.

study released earlier this month found that if interventions in China has been “conducted one week, two weeks, or three weeks earlier, cases could have been reduced by 66 percent, 86 percent and 95 percent respectively – significantly limiting the geographical spread of the disease.”

“Thousands are now dead all around the world. The global economy is at the brink of recession, and possibly a depression by the third quarter,” Glenn said. “All of this is China’s fault. China lied, people died.”
