Here We Go: MSM Begins Propagating a “Third Wave” of COVID-19

The mainstream media has switched from reporting on the surge in coronavirus cases to propagating a “third wave” of COVID-19.  The MSM is calling the outlook “dire” as a way to panic the masses.

At this point, it would be a complete shock if we didn’t go into another lockdown.  Be ready, because the predictive programming is there once again.

With more than 40 million reported cases globally and 1.1 million deaths, the pandemic shows no sign of slowing down. In Ireland, a lockdown has been reimposed, as other pockets of Europe weigh similar restrictions again.

In the U.S., more than 8.2 million cases and more than 220,000 deaths have been reported to-date. While the rate of deaths has slowed, there is still a concern for some of the most vulnerable populations, where increasingly asymptomatic cases are being reported. Meanwhile, the case count has already hit more than 60,000 daily, with all regions of the country affected. –Yahoo

Dr. Leo Nissola, an immunotherapy scientist at Parker Institute in San Francisco, told Yahoo Finance: “Things are not looking pretty. The most difficult phase of the epidemic is ahead of us,” he said.

Axios reported that the “third wave is gaining steam.” The outlet further reported that high positivity rates indicate a worsening outbreak, and put together with the rise in cases and hospitalizations across the country, suggest that the U.S. is in bad shape. The big picture then, according to MSM, is that the virus is spreading throughout the U.S. It’s not concentrated in any one region, as it was during the previous waves.

Because they don’t have “isolated pockets of infections,” another more brutal lockdown could be coming. In fact, at this point, it would be shocking if they don’t try to pull off another one. Especially considering this little blurb from Axios:

This all means more deaths, more economic devastation, and more isolation and psychological strain. If we’d gotten the virus under control during the summer, we’d have saved ourselves from a lot of this coming pain.

Brace yourselves. Prepare. Remain alert. They are pushing this. This “third wave” reporting has ramped up substantially in the past 24 hours. People didn’t buy the second wave narrative, but will they fall for this one? Will something more sinister happen? Will the virus become more deadly? Everything is possible right now.  Use discernment, and most of all, check your preps and make sure you have what you need. Something is coming.

If You Feel Like Something Really, Really Bad Is About To Happen, You Are Definitely Not Alone

Bill Gates: ‘Shutting down’ economy not nearly enough to stem climate change — we need to ‘get rid of emissions from all the different sectors’

Billionaire Microsoft founder and climate activist Bill Gates said Monday that large-scale economic shutdowns are “nowhere near sufficient” to curtail climate change. Rather, we need “to get rid of emissions from all the different sectors.”

What are the details?

Gates made the remarks during a keynote address for the National Academy of Medicine’s 2020 annual meeting, which this year was titled, “Confronting Urgent Threats to Human Health & Society: COVID-19 and Climate Change.”

“The change in behavior, like driving less or flying less, is helpful but nowhere near sufficient — 2020 is a great example of this,” Gates said. “We’ve cut down carbon emission with these drastic changes in the economy, but the reduction in emissions is actually quite modest.”

He noted that this year, even with the implementation of large-scale economic shutdowns in many places around the world due to the coronavirus pandemic, the global emissions rate was only cut by 8%, according to International Energy Association estimates.

“Simply shutting down [the economy] is not going to get [us] to our goal,” he concluded. “So just like we need innovation for COVID-19, we also need that to get rid of emissions from all the different sectors and bring down climate change.”

“This crosses many areas,” Gates continued. “How we make electricity, how we make industrial products, grow food, cool our buildings, and all of transportation.”

What else?

Gates recently reiterated many of the same details during a discussion with Bloomberg News as a part of the Bloomberg Green Festival, in which the tech billionaire argued stopping climate change is a much bigger problem than the coronavirus pandemic.

Tackling climate changes, he said, would require starting “many decades ahead of when you want that solution deployed” and involve nearly every key infrastructure sector.

“Transport, industry, buildings, electricity, all of those things — and agriculture — contribute to emissions. For many of these sources of emissions, we have no solutions,” he added. “With climate, we need … increased speed and more. We need policies, we need more [research and development] money, we need more risk capital because of all those hard areas.”

The price tag on many of these supposedly must-needed investments would likely be in the trillions. But that’s not necessarily surprising, given the whopping cost of the left’s Green New Deal plan — which is estimated to be at least $10 trillion.

In July last year, the Competitive Enterprise Institute estimated that if the Green New Deal was implemented as currently proposed, it would cost the average household $70,000 in just the first year.

Conference cancels keynote speech by Stanford biophysics professor Michael Levitt because of his skepticism regarding COVID-19 lockdowns

Stanford professor and Nobel laureate Michael Levitt has been disinvited as a keynote speaker at a conference dedicated to his field of expertise, allegedly because of his controversial views regarding the efficacy of many of the measures that have been taken to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

Levitt is a professor of structural biology at Stanford and won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2013.

According to Levitt, he was disinvited due to concerns expressed by other speakers about his views on the COVID-19 pandemic. In a tweet, Levitt noted that the conference was not expected to discuss the pandemic and that he did not plan for his remarks to include any discussion of the pandemic.

Levitt has sparked controversy this year by arguing that the lockdown measures instituted to combat the coronavirus pandemic would likely lead to more deaths than the pandemic itself. He has also argued that many countries are vastly overcounting coronavirus deaths, and that it is unjustified to include all individuals who died with the coronavirus in the official death counts.

He has also caused controversy by asserting that controlling the panic associated with the pandemic is as important as controlling the pandemic itself.

Recently, he has also waged a crusade against what he perceives as a scientific censorship campaign that is being waged, with the help of Big Tech, against anyone who does not toe the current line on how to control the pandemic.

Levitt has also aggressively championed the work of his Stanford colleague Dr. John Ioannadis, who has faced criticism for estimating that the infection fatality rate of COVID-19 is much lower than was believed at the start of the pandemic.

The organizers of the Biodesign Research Conference did not return a request for comment on this story.

House passes bipartisan spending deal by a landslide, averting government shutdown

The House of Representatives passed a bipartisan spending bill by a landslide late Tuesday night, which, if passed by the Senate and signed by President Donald Trump, will continue funding the federal government through Dec. 11.

What are the details?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced in a statement ahead of the vote that she had reached a deal with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Republicans for a continuing resolution that would “add nearly $8 billion in desperately needed nutrition assistance for hungry schoolchildren and families.”

“We also increase accountability in the Commodity Credit Corporation, preventing funds for farmers from being misused for a Big Oil bailout,” she said.

The Washington Post reported that the stopgap measure passed “overwhelmingly” in a 358-to-57 vote, noting that Republicans had rejected an earlier “partisan bill” put forward by Democrats the day before.

Not one Democrat voted against the legislation, but 56 Republicans did along with former GOP member Libertarian Justin Amash (Mich.).

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy tweeted Tuesday night, “Pelosi got caught trying to jam through a bill that ignored kids & hurt farmers. Republicans stopped her, & we just won a vote to keep the government operating for ALL Americans. It’s not perfect. But it’s a heck of a lot better than what Democrats tried to pull.”

According to The Hill, the Senate is expected to take up the CR as early as next week. The outlet noted, “Both parties are strongly incentivized to avoid a government shutdown, given the proximity to the November elections and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.”

CBS News reported that “The resolution funds the government until December 11, avoiding a possible shutdown at the end of September.”

California Coronavirus Intelwars lockdown Nancy Pelosi Salon san francisco Shutdown

Pelosi insists it isn’t her fault she violated coronavirus restrictions, actually says ‘I think that this salon owes me an apology’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) insists she is not to blame after getting caught violating multiple San Francisco coronavirus restrictions by having her hair done in a shuttered salon earlier this week amid the city’s lockdown, saying she was “set up” by the salon and that they owe her an apology rather than the other way around.

What are the details?

Pelosi was hit with waves of criticism on Tuesday after Fox News reported that her assistant asked a stylist to provide hair services to the speaker in eSalon the day before — despite the establishment being closed for months just like all the other salons in the city to due coronavirus orders.

The outlet published security camera footage provided by the owner, Erica Kious, showing a mask-less Pelosi strolling through the salon, as well as text messages claiming Pelosi’s assistant made the request to a stylist who rents space from Kious at eSalon.

Kious called Pelosi’s actions a “slap in the face” considering the business owner hasn’t been able to open her salon in months while Pelosi “feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work.”

But Pelosi insisted Wednesday that she is the one who was wronged in the incident, telling reporters during a press conference, “I take responsibility for trusting the word of the neighborhood salon that I’ve been to over the years many times. And that when they said ‘We’re able to accommodate people one person at a time’ and that we can set up that time, I trusted that. As it turns out, it was a set-up, so I take responsibility for falling for a set-up.”

“I think that this salon owes me an apology, for setting [me] up,” the speaker said.

According to the
San Francisco Chronicle:

As for the short clip showing her mask around her neck [Pelosi said]: “I just had my hair washed. I don’t wear a mask when I’m washing my hair. Do you wear a mask when you’re washing your hair? I always wear a mask … And that picture is when I just came out of the bowl.”

As The Hill pointed out, “San Francisco’s guidelines state that ‘any service that requires your customer to remove their face covering are not permitted at this time.'”

Salons in San Francisco were just allowed to reopen for business on Tuesday, and are still restricted to only providing services outdoors, Politico reported.

Propaganda & Fear Alert: MSM Says “Much More Aggressive Shutdowns Are Needed”

Mainstream media outlets continue to do their jobs as the ruling class pulls the strings.  The New York Times is now claiming that “much more aggressive shutdowns” are needed or COVID-19 will kill one million Americans.

Isn’t this fear-mongering getting old? It should be abundantly clear that those who are desperate to keep their power are needing the public to be afraid of everything. The article published by The New York Times cites no source, but Americans, by and large, have rejected logic and reason in exchange for horrifying levels of fear.

The editorial warns, “well over a million” Americans “may ultimately die” from COVID-19. The paper does not cite a source for that estimate, which seems highly implausible based on the death toll so far, projections for the next few months, the gap between total infections and confirmed cases, and a crude case-fatality rate that continues to fall.

According to Reason Magazine, independent data scientist Youyang Gu, who has a good track record of predicting COVID-19 fatalities, is currently projecting about 231,000 deaths in the United States by November 1. The University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation projects 295,000 deaths by December 1. Assuming those projections prove to be about right, the Times is predicting that the death toll will quadruple during the months before an effective vaccine can be deployed, which might happen early next year.

The Times wants a six to eight-week hard lockdown while noting that Americans may be already tired of obeying the commands of tyrants for something that has turned out to be statically negligent, EVEN IF you believe the numbers being reported on by the media are accurate.

This is nothing more than fear-based propaganda, and that should be obvious. However, that does not mean preparations should cease. Things are going to get more interesting before this year is over.  It’s hard to say what’s in store for us, but those with a grip around our throats won’t release it without a fight.

Minneapolis Fed chief pushing for ‘hard’ nationwide shutdown lasting 4 to 6 weeks

Neel Kashkari, president of the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank, is calling for America to go into a “hard” shutdown for at least a month, saying it is necessary to stop the spread of COVID-19 and arguing that the U.S. government can afford it.

What are the details?

Kashkari made his case for shutting down during an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday, saying, “If we were to lock down really hard — I hate to even suggest it, people will be frustrated by it — but if we were to lock down hard for a month or six weeks, we could get the case count down so that our testing and our contact tracing was actually enough to control it.”

“If we don’t do that,” Kashkari continued, “and we just have this raging virus spreading throughout the country with flare-ups and local lockdowns for the next year or two — which is entirely possible — we’re going to see many, many more business bankruptcies…and that’s going to take a lot of time to recover from to rebuild those businesses and then to bring workers back in.”‘

He argued, “That’s going to be a much slower recovery for all of us.”

The Minneapolis fed chief also said that despite 20 million Americans being out of work due to the coronavirus crisis, the one bright spot he sees is that the savings rate has gone up among those who do still have an income. He says that means the debt incurred from the possible continuation of elevated unemployment benefits does not concern him.

“Those of us who are fortunate enough to still have our jobs, we’re saving a lot more money because we’re not going to restaurants or movie theaters or vacations,” Kashkari said. “That actually means we have a lot more resources as a country to support those who have been laid off.”

He explained, “While historically we would worry about racking up too much debt, we’re generating this savings ourselves. That means Congress has the resources to support those who are most hurting.”

Kashkari reiterated his position on Monday, arguing on Twitter, “Want to open schools? Do a hard lockdown now for 6 weeks to get the virus under control then open schools late September. I haven’t heard any other strategy to reopen safely that sounds remotely plausible given rampant spread in many areas.”

He shared a Wall Street Journal op-ed to bolster his argument.

Local Governments Want YOU To Pay For The Economic Terrorism They Caused

Local governments want massive tax hikes to cover the costs of the economic terrorism they extracted on the entire population. Cities like Nashville, Tennessee plan to hike property taxes as much as 34% to cover the costs of their terrorism.

Have you had enough yet? Because too many are still taking this on the chin. Historic job losses caused by government-mandated lockdowns that have fueled the downturn have also put the squeeze on city and state budgets. Washington sought to offset this with stimulus payments, additional unemployment benefits, business grants, and more, but now they want their money back in the form of massive tax hikes.

Any push to raise taxes too dramatically could hurt the economy even more, not to mention cause civil unrest.  People are already living on the edge, and those lucky enough to still have jobs are living paycheck to paycheck. But, if the government can get away with it from a passive and sleeping public, they’ll do it.

Planned “Second Wave” is Coming: The Terrorism Committed By Government Isn’t Over Yet

There is no better description of what’s happening to Americans than terrorism.  The fact that we are being terrorized by our own government in far more disastrous ways than Islamists could have possibly imagined should horrify everyone in this country. Places thought to be “safe havens” from liberal lunacy have become epicenters for theft and forcing the public to pay for their own enslavement.

In Texas, Dallas lawmakers were considering a massive property tax hike of as much as 8 percent but needed the city council to pass a measure allowing them to increase rates by more than 3.5 percent. In May, the resolution failed after a 12-3 vote, according to Fox News.

New York state lawmakers are pushing for income tax hikes for those who earn more than $5 million. In Seattle, a new measure approved by the City Council will add a tax on companies with at least $7 million in annual payroll. The “JumpStart Seattle” tax will tax businesses up to 2.4 percent on Seattle-based employees who earn more than $150,000. The bill specifically references the emergency conditions imposed by the pandemic. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy warned that if the state does not borrow more money, he would “have no choice but to raise property taxes,” according to NJ.com.

Have you finally figured it out? It’s not republican or democrat. These tax hikes span across both red and blue states.  They are waging an economic war on us, and most Americans are rolling over and taking it, allowing these psychopaths to win. These people look down at the public and think of us as nothing more than tax cattle and we are doing little to show we are anything but.

Coronavirus COVID-19 Houston Intelwars lockdown Shutdown Sylvester turner Texas

Houston’s mayor wants another COVID-19 lockdown: ’The virus is currently spreading out of control’

The mayor of Houston wants the city to fully lock down for another two weeks to slow down the increase in new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, according to the Houston Chronicle.

In the Houston area, 646 people have reportedly died of COVID-19. Cases in the region of the state increased by 1,596 from Saturday to Sunday. The positivity rate (number of people tested divided by the number of positive tests) in Texas rose to 16%—and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott had previously said anything above 10% is a red flag.

“Let’s look at the numbers, look at the data, see where things are,” Turner said Saturday, according to the Chronicle. “And then gradually, move forward again.”

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo advocated for a lockdown as well. She said it should continue not just until Houston is able to flatten the curve, as was the stated goal of the previous lockdown, but until new cases actually begin to decrease.

“To be clear, the mayor would prefer the economy remain open but the virus is currently spreading out of control in our community and hospitalizations are rising,” said a spokesperson for Turner, via email to the Chronicle. “We must join together as a community to stop the spread now.”

Last week, the Republican Party of Texas filed a lawsuit against Turner for shutting down its convention, which was scheduled next week in Houston.

Houston has been the site of large protests, as well as large funeral gatherings for George Floyd, who was killed by Minneapolis Police Department officers on May 25.

Reports out of Houston indicate increased hospital activity, leading to more patients being hospitalized and treated in emergency rooms due to a lack of space to transfer them to other areas of the hospital. There is some evidence that part of the reason for this issue is that patients who were unable to get treatment for non-COVID-19 conditions during lockdown are now going to the hospital because their treatable conditions deteriorated.

Late last month, Houston-area hospital leaders held a news conference to assure the public that hospitals were prepared to handle the new COVID-19 cases, and warning against misinterpretations of data that can cause unnecessary alarm.

“There is not a scenario, in my opinion, to where the demand for our beds, especially ICUs, ventilators, PPE, etcetera, would eclipse our capability,” said Mark Wallace, the president and CEO of Texas Children’s Hospital, according to KPRC-TV.

Police release bodycam video of customers who ‘barricaded’ Waffle Shop, officer handcuffing 73-year-old Vietnam vet

The Fresno Police Department released body camera video of
customers who “barricaded” outside a restaurant on Mother’s Day as an officer ordered them to move so he could escort code enforcement into the business to cite the owner for opening amid the coronavirus shutdown.

The clip also shows the officer handcuffing a 73-year-old Vietnam veteran and walking him to a patrol vehicle after a scuffle outside the Waffle Shop doorway.

‘It does appear that the officer was acting lawfully’

But Chief of Police Andrew Hall said in a news release late Monday that “it does appear that the officer was acting lawfully while assisting Code Enforcement. It also appears that the individual in this case did obstruct the officer in his duties. The officer’s detention of this individual allowed for Code Enforcement to complete their duties. As a result, the individual was only detained and was released without any further charges being filed.”

Hall added, “I am asking the public to always respect the authority of a police officer. Pushing, striking, delaying or obstructing an officer is against the law.”

On Sunday afternoon, the chief said he was “concerned over the manner in which this incident was handled as it doesn’t appear to be consistent with our Department’s policy concerning demonstrations or the directions I have given officers via a Chief’s memorandum for handling enforcement of the Emergency Order,” KFSN-TV reported.

Hall’s Monday statement reiterated his concerns and noted that he ordered an Internal Affairs investigation.

What’s on the body camera video?

The video shows the unidentified officer speaking with code enforcement who tell him the people in front of Waffle Shop’s entrance won’t let them “in the damn door.”

The officer then approaches the entrance and says, “OK, folks, make a way.”

“We’re not gonna let you in,” one person tells the officer. “We’ve been waiting for hours,” another person says.

After this point, the officer appears to make physical contact with customers, but the body camera doesn’t show if he initiates it or they initiate it. A cellphone video shot from behind showed a white-haired man either bumped or shoved out of the way — and on the body camera clip, that same man tells the officer “you did assault me, and I didn’t do anything.”

Soon the officer is confronting and handcuffing a different man — Vietnam vet Tom Miller — after it appears Miller pulls away from the officer.

“Get your hands off of me!” Miller hollers at the officer before being handcuffed.

Miller’s wife, Kelly, holds his arm as the officer walks him to a patrol car, the Fresno Bee reported.

“That’s a violation of his civil rights, you stupid bastard,” a woman shouts. Others call the officer an “asshole” and a “son of a bitch” guilty of “police brutality.”

Miller’s wife also tells the officer that her husband “served four tours in Vietnam. He’s a diabetic. He has a heart condition.” Finally the officer places Miller in the patrol vehicle.

Anything else?

Sgt. Walter Boston told the Bee on video that “a bunch of citizens blocked the doorway and in essence barricaded code enforcement from being able to enter the business, so they called police.” The people blocking the doorway stayed for the officer and “weren’t going to allow law enforcement in,” Boston added on the clip.

Waffle Shop owner Ammar Ibrahim told the Bee he received a $5,000 fine for opening Sunday and accused code enforcement officers of using heavy-handed tactics to served the citation. He added to the paper a confrontation could have been avoided if the officers had called his shop and asked him to come outside — and that police didn’t have “jurisdiction” in the matter.

Judge denies Michigan’s request to shut down 77-year-old barber who opened shop in defiance of Democratic Gov. Whitmer’s COVID-19 order

A Michigan circuit court judge denied the state’s request to sign a temporary restraining order against barber Karl Manke who opened his shop early in defiance of Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s coronavirus restrictions, the Lansing State Journal reported.

What are the details?

Manke’s barbershop in Owosso has been open since last Monday, and the 77-year-old got a packed lobby of customers the first morning, two citations before Friday — as well as a promise from Michigan Militia members that they won’t let police arrest him.

“We’re willing to stand in front of that door and block the entrance so the police will have no entry there today,” Daniel Brewer told WEYI-TV Saturday.

And that may not happen anytime soon. The state attorney general’s office confirmed that Shiawassee County Circuit Court Judge Matthew Stewart wouldn’t sign the temporary restraining order before holding a hearing, which is what Manke’s attorneys said they wanted, the State Journal said.

“The Court wanted to provide Mr. Manke with an opportunity for a hearing on the request for an injunction, despite the clear public health dangers that continued operation of his business creates,” spokesman Ryan Jarvi wrote in a statement, the paper reported.

‘I’m gonna stay open ’til Jesus comes’

During a triumphant press conference in front of his shop late Monday afternoon, Manke told a crowd of supporters that “I’m gonna stay open ’til Jesus comes.”

At times he was drowned out by honks from passing vehicles and affirmations from the crowd, the Detroit News reported, adding that a large truck parked nearby and several signs held by supporters were adorned with phrases criticizing Whitmer’s orders.

“I feel the governor is not my mother, never has been,” Manke said, according to the paper. “As a matter of fact, this administration, for the most part, I’ve been in business longer than they’ve been alive.”

But the barber still faces two misdemeanor charges for reopening his shop despite state shutdown orders, the State Journal said. He faces a fine of more than $1,000 and is set to be arraigned June 23, the paper added, citing court records.

In addition, state police on Friday night issued Manke a health protection order from the state attorney general’s office demanding he close his shop, noting that customers from Ann Arbor, Saginaw, Detroit, Jackson, and other areas have visited his business and that it poses “an imminent danger” to public health.

What is Whitmer saying?

When asked about Menke’s plight and his defiance of her order, the governor said at a Monday news conference that it’s all about saving his life and the lives of his customers.

“I expect people to follow the law,” Whitmer said with what appeared to be a restrained smile. “These executive orders are not a suggestion, they’re not optional, they’re not helpful hints.”

Growing opposition

Sheriffs’ offices in at least six counties have said they won’t enforce Whitmer’s orders, the Detroit News reported, adding that some are arguing the legality of the orders since the Republican-controlled state legislature refused to extend the governor’s state of emergency past May 28.

Shiawassee County Sheriff Brian Begole on Monday said his department won’t enforce Whitmer’s orders and that deputies have the responsibility to uphold constitutions at state and federal levels, the News noted.

“With limited resources, staffing and facilities, our priority focus will be on enforcing duly passed laws for the protection of Shiawassee County citizens,” Begole wrote in a letter, according to the News. “I have decided, within my authority, that our office cannot and will not divert our primary resources and efforts towards enforcement of … Governor Whitmer’s executive orders.”

Whitmer has been under fire for weeks with protests and demonstrations over her shutdown. She’s prohibited residents from visiting friends and family who live a few doors away and barred them from buying vegetable seeds and gardening supplies at a store.

Anything else?

“If you can walk down the aisles at Walmart, it would seem to me you can walk down the aisles of a church, you can walk down the aisles in Karl’s barbershop and practice the same physical distancing, hand-washing, all of the things you’ve been hearing on and on,” said one of Manke’s attorneys, David Kallman, according to the Detroit News.

Michigan militia members say they won’t allow police to arrest 77-year-old barber defying Democratic Gov. Whitmer’s shutdown order

Members of the Michigan militia said they won’t allow police to arrest 77-year-old Karl Manke who opened his Owosso barbershop last week in defiance of Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s coronavirus shutdown order,
WEYI-TV reported.

“We are here to make sure he doesn’t get arrested,” Daniel Brewer told the station Saturday. “We’re willing to stand in front of that door and block the entrance so the police will have no entry there today.”

The barbershop has been open since last Monday against state order and received a packed lobby of customers his first morning — as well as two citations before Friday,
WEYI said in a previous story.

Still dozens of supporters gathered outside Manke’s barbershop Saturday, and 15 customers were waiting in line outside the door for haircuts.

‘I was denied twice on unemployment’

Manke told the station he followed Whitmer’s shutdown order for as long as he could — but after multiple extensions of the order and no money coming in after being twice denied unemployment, he had to return to work.

“I’m not trying to be a scofflaw. I’m trying to make a living,” he told WEYI. “I tried for the unemployment. I was denied twice on unemployment. I haven’t seen anything in one these other checks from the government.”

Manke speaking inside his barbershop as he was cutting a customer’s hair told the Detroit Free Press that Whitmer “is not my mother” and “I just made an adult decision that I was gonna open up.”

‘Imminent danger to the public health’

On Friday night, state police issued Manke a health protection order from state Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office demanding he close his shop, noting that customers from Ann Arbor, Saginaw, Detroit, Jackson, and other areas have visited his business, which raises the risk of spreading the coronavirus, the station said.

More from Nessel’s order, according to WEYI:

Mr. Manke was given every opportunity to voluntarily comply with the Governor’s Executive Order and the order of the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services Director. As a result of his continued operation, today his business was deemed an imminent danger to the public health and ordered to be shut down by the DHHS Director. If he refuses, the Department of Attorney General will request an order from the Shiawassee County Circuit Court on Monday to close his business. Mr. Manke’s actions are not a display of harmless civil disobedience. His actions are counterproductive to the collective effort businesses and communities everywhere have made to slow the spread of COVID-19, and by opening the doors to his business, he’s putting the lives of many more Michiganders at risk.

Robert Gordon, director of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, told the station in a statement that “people continue to die in our state every day due to the coronavirus. It is critically important for businesses and the general public to follow the executive order to reduce further spread of COVID-19 and save lives.”

The state health department also has been handing out free condoms and lubricant to help residents protect themselves against unintended pregnancy, STIs, and HIV.

What did Whitmer have to say?

Whitmer has been
under fire for weeks with protests and demonstrations over her shutdown. She’s prohibited residents from visiting friends and family who live a few doors away and barred them from buying vegetable seeds and gardening supplies at a store. In fact, the state House and Senate sued Whitmer over her shutdown extension, which now will last until May 28.

But when asked about Menke’s plight and his defiance of her order, the governor said it was all about saving his life and the lives of his customers:

Churches Contact tracing Coronavirus america Intelwars Kansas City Mayor reopen economy Shutdown Stay-at-home orders

After getting blasted for ‘Nazi-like’ order that churches keep lists of attendees, KC mayor backs down

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas drew notable criticism over his recent
order that churches and other places of worship keep lists of names of service attendees so the city’s health department can track those potentially exposed to the coronavirus — but now he’s backing down.

What’s the background?

The requirement to keep lists of worship service attendees was part of the reopening plan for nonessential businesses. The city’s website noted the “10/10/10 rule,” which “specifies that these businesses must limit the number of individuals on-site (inclusive of employees and customers) to no more than 10 percent of building occupancy or 10 people (whichever is larger), and record the names, contact information, and approximate entry/exit time of all customers who are on premises for more than 10 minutes.”

The website added: “In-person religious gatherings (including weddings and funerals) may resume, subject to the 10/10/10 rule (if held inside), or limited to 50 people outside, provided social distancing precautions are followed and event organizers maintain records of all attendees.”

Pushback

Last Friday, Matt Staver — founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel —
raised a stink over the list-of-names mandate:

I am running out of adjectives to describe how completely insane the tyrannical abuses launched by state governors and local officials against pastors and churches are becoming. It is as if these leaders never bothered to so much as glance at the Constitution they swore to uphold and defend. They seem to be governing from some make-believe, dystopian viewpoint. …

The Germans did this very thing to Jews – collecting the names and locations of all known synagogue attendees – in the early days of the Nazi regime.

Never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined Nazi-like measures designed to surveil, track and spy upon what was once a FREE American people. Yet that is exactly what Kansas City’s misguided government officials are now demanding.

Change of heart

However, Lucas appears to have experienced a change of heart — and the
Kansas City Star reported that he signed new guidance Monday making record-keeping optional, saying merely that businesses and religious groups “should consider” the data.

Lucas’ spokeswoman, Morgan Said, told the paper that the mayor “late last week and over the weekend … felt clearer guidance expressing the voluntary nature of the requirement would be helpful, so the city could discuss the core public health needs addressed by allowing for contact tracing, rather than engaging in ad nauseum political debate.”

Here’s a clip of Lucas explaining the path forward for Kansas City’s reopening. “Must gather contact info of all attendees” can be seen on the bottom right-hand corner of the large 10/10/10 sign.

Boston Coronavirus Coronavirus america Intelwars Protesters Shutdown

Boston shutdown protesters to governor, mayor: ‘We’re tired of your BS. We’re tired of your lies. We’re tired of you acting like wanna-be dictators.’

A crowd of angry protesters gathered outside the Massachusetts State House demanding that all businesses be allowed to reopen amid the coronavirus shutdown that’s sent tens of millions into unemployment lines across the country, WBZ-TV reported.

Who said what?

“We don’t want your shutdown anymore!” conservative radio host Jeff Kuhner hollered into a microphone during Monday’s demonstration.

The station said Kuhner helped organize the rally, which drew hundreds of supporters of President Donald Trump.

Matt Stout, state house reporter for the Boston Globe, noted another exclamation from the protest directed at Republican Gov. Charlie Baker and Democratic Mayor Marty Walsh: “We’re tired of your BS. We’re tired of your lies. We’re tired of you acting like wanna-be dictators”

“Freedom” and “USA” chants erupted through the crowd, WBZ said.

“The only thing that Baker is doing by keeping the businesses from opening is causing more people to become victims by losing their jobs, losing their businesses,” attendee Louis Murray told the station. “If you want to wear a mask, you can wear a mask. We’re Americans, we’re individualists.”

“We are all essential … not just you, Gov. Baker!” a woman exclaimed, WBZ said.

Last week, Baker said nonessential businesses would remain closed until at least May 18, the station said, adding that the stay-at-home advisory and ban on gatherings of more than 10 people also are scheduled to end that day.

beg the master COVID-19 destroy lives Economy elitists enforce tyranny enslavement freedom freedom is our birthright Government governments Headline News human beings Intelwars liberty lockdowns Mental obeying the commands Police State Politicians Protests ruling class Shutdown stick together take back your power tyranny tyrants

Protests Across California Show You Can Only Push People So Far

Even in California, a heavily socialist, overbearing tyrannical nanny-state, are people standing up for their rights. Human beings were never meant to be caged by a few elitists and people have finally gotten sick of their enslavement to the political overlords.

Protests raged all over the United States over the weekend as millions of people begged the very government that enslaved them to free them.  Obviously, that’s not how it works, but the fact they are realizing no other human has a higher claim over them is at least, a step in the right direction.

People have finally grown tired of obeying the commands of the ruling class, and they have taken to disobeying orders to imprison themselves in their homes so they won’t spread a virus that even by government’s exaggerated numbers is still no worse than the flu.

Coronavirus Panic & Fear: The Greatest Mainstream Media Hoax In History

Another COVID-19 Whistleblower: A Montana Dr. Says Government Is Drastically Overstating Deaths

The primary threat to freedom and justice is not greed, or hatred, or any of the other emotions or human flaws usually blamed for such things. Instead, it is one ubiquitous superstition that infects the minds of people of all races, religions, and nationalities, which deceives decent, well-intentioned people into supporting and advocating violence and oppression. Even without making human beings one bit more wise or virtuous, removing that one superstition (the belief in authority, that some have the right to command, and others have to obey) would remove the vast majority of injustice and suffering from the world.

The solution to these lockdowns has been with us the whole time.  We outnumber the police state and politicians by “orders of magnitude.” If we decide to live our lives as the free human beings we were meant to be, there’s nothing the ruling class can do to stop us short of trying to make an example of a handful of people.  But once we stick together and disallow them to make examples of those people, we will be free.

There is no need for violence or begging.  Being free is our birthright and we should disobey any command that imprisons us and harms ourselves or others. We all need to realize it’s time to do the right thing, not the “legal” thing.

If you’re afraid of getting sick, stay in your home. If you don’t want to open your business, don’t. But it’s the height of privilege to look down on those who are simply living their lives free of the chains the ruling class is desperately trying to force them into. People all over are finally realizing that they were not born to be slaves to the elite few and the “order followers” such as police and the military need to take a hard look at themselves and what they are enforcing.

After Brainwashing People For Decades, MSM and Governments Are Losing Control of People

Cops and military: your children will have to live the world you are enforcing. If you want them to bow to a totalitarian police state, by all means, keep “enforcing” the will of tyrants on free people. But if you crave liberty, and want your children to have a life free from slavery, it’s time to stand up and say so.

David Icke To LEOs & Military: “Look Your Children In The Eye” & Tell Them YOU Enforced Tyranny

This has become black and white.  You are either free, or you are not. You either enforce tyranny or you do not.  It’s not a gray area.

To those few cops who have stood up and refused to violate the rights of people, it’s appreciated.  Now stand with those who want freedom, or align yourself with enslavement and tyranny.  There’s no middle ground.

A Handful Of Cops Are Standing Up to Tyranny WITH The People

This all ends when WE say it does. I’ve said this from the beginning. They cannot enslave us once we all realize it’s our birthright to be free and we go about our lives in defiance of their orders, and peacefully coexist with each other. We are more powerful than they will ever allow us to know, and all we have to do is realize it.

This is just the beginning of humanity getting off its knees.  It started when the government attempted to force falsified data about a virus down our throats, and it ends when we say it does.  Take their power away by being uncontrollable.  Take your mind back from the mainstream media, and never again allow yourself to be enslaved.

If you want to hear an uplifting message about why it’s important to speak truth to power and take your power back and just live as the free human you are, watch the video below. It’s long, but just the first few minutes are positive and will help you realize you are more powerful than any politician, tyrannical police state enforcer, or elitist. You just have to realize it.  This is the truth the “cabal” doesn’t want you to know:

“The universe is not working in humanity’s favor right now, because humanity has externalized its power to other entities. And everything that happening…everything that’s happening right now on the planet is…because of humanity’s ignorance.” –Ralph Smart

It’s time to wake up and be free as we were all meant to be.  You don’t need the government, the elitists, or the cops permission to be free. That’s what the ruling class doesn’t want you to know.

Coronavirus Coronavirus america Governor Intelwars Janet mills maine Restaurant Shutdown

‘We’ve had enough of it’: Maine restaurant owner declares he’s reopening a month early, defying Democratic governor’s shutdown order

Maine restaurant owner Rick Savage said he’s reopening his Sunday River Brewing Co. in Bethel to dine-in customers a month early, defying the shutdown orders of Democratic Gov. Janet Mills amid the coronavirus pandemic.

What are the details?

On Friday, businesses such as hair salons and other personal service outfits can open up as part of Mills’ Stage 1 strategy. But restaurants are part of Stage 2, which gives a tentative June 1 reopening date, WCSH-TV reported.

Savage has no intention of waiting that long.

In fact, a Friday morning post on Sunday River’s Facebook page said the restaurant will be open later in the day — 4 p.m. — with a limited number of seats available due to social distancing and no reservations.

And word spread fast, as folks started lining up outside the restaurant Friday long before opening time:

Then the line got crazy long, with a reporter saying patrons viewed it as “much more than a lunch rush, it’s a protest”:

More Savagery

Savage told Carlson he doubts anything will happen to him for defying Mills’ orders “because she’s over her head. She’s not consulting the experts; she’s just doing this to break our state more than we already are.”

He added that he’s “gonna challenge the state” to come and witness what the Sunday River Brewing Co. is doing, and “if you don’t like it, take me to court. And then if they do take me to court, I’ll save my tax money that I collect this month, and I’ll use that to fund a lawyer.”

Savage also accused Mills of being unresponsive to him and trying to bankrupt the state so it can acquire federal funds.

“We’ve tried to call the governor; you can’t even get ahold of them. The lawmakers are left in the dark, both Republicans and Democrats,” he added. “She’s doing this all rogue on her own, so we’ve had enough of it. We’re encouraging all businesses in Maine to open up. We should have never been shut down in the first place.”

Oh, and it’s not on the following clip, but Savage also read on the air what he said was Mills’ cellphone number so others join in the fight against her economic shutdown.

capitol Coronavirus Gretchen Whitmer Intelwars Michigan Shutdown

Protestors storm Michigan state Capitol demanding end to coronavirus lockdown

Well over a thousand protestors demonstrated at the Michigan Capitol building on Thursday in an effort to stop the extension of the state’s COVID-19 lockdown, which is set to expire at midnight.

The state’s Republican-led House of Representatives adjourned with lawmakers agreeing to allow Michigan’s state of emergency to expire, but Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer vowed to extend her stay-at-home order unilaterally.

What are the details?

WDIV-TV reported that the daylong protest began outside in the morning in the pouring rain before being moved inside the Capitol, where demonstrators — some of whom were armed — sought to enter the chambers of the House, but were blocked by State Police troopers and House sergeants-at-arms.

According to MLive, participants stood in front of the chamber while chanting, “Let us in. Let us in.”

Gov. Whitmer has faced numerous protests and lawsuits over her restrictive shutdown measures amid the coronavirus pandemic, and she asked the legislature to extend her 28-day emergency order for another 28 days. But lawmakers refused to so on Thursday, and instead passed Senate legislation limiting the governor’s emergency powers, which she promised to veto.

Whitmer also vowed to extend the mandates herself, saying she has the authority to do so on her own accord.

House Speaker Lee Chatfield told WDIV that the issue could end up in court.

“We extended our hand in partnership, but should she not accept that and overstep her constitutional bounds, we also authorized myself, on behalf of the House of Representatives, to file a lawsuit,” Chatfield said. “We have three branches of government in Michigan — executive, judicial and legislative — and this may have to be settled in court.”

Anything else?

Far-left U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D), who represents Michigan’s 13th District, reacted to the protests by tweeting, “Black people get executed by police for just existing, while white people dressed like militia members carrying assault weapons are allowed to threaten State Legislators and staff. Our gun laws are so broken.”

Gun range Intelwars Judge Ralph Northam Shutdown Virginia

Virginia judge rules indoor gun range can reopen, dealing a blow to Gov. Northam’s shutdown order

A Virginia judge has ruled that an indoor gun range shut down by Gov. Ralph Northam’s (D) coronavirus executive order may immediate reopen. saying the governor overstepped with his mandate because state statute “specifically limits his authority in relation to the right to keep and bear arms.”

What are the details?

SafeSide Lynchburg, an indoor gun range in Lynchburg, was shut down along with other indoor ranges in the state as part of Northam’s COVID-19 dictates. Outdoor ranges were still allowed to operate, while indoor ranges were determined to be “places of amusement,” and therefore deemed non-essential during the pandemic.

SafeSide sued Northam over the closure, joined by Gun Owners of America, Virginia Citizens Defense League, and the Association of Virginia Gun Ranges.

On Monday, Judge Patrick Yeatts issued a temporary injunction allowing the range to reopen, finding that “indoor ranges are protected” by a statute that states that “the Governor cannot ‘in any way limit or prohibit the rights of the people to keep and bear arms.'”

Judge Yeatts wrote, “The plaintiffs have demonstrated a depravation of the constitutional right to keep and bear arms, financial hardship for the business and employees, and lack of training access for its customers.”

The Washington Free Beacon reported that “the decision does not apply to all ranges in the state, but gun-rights groups that helped file the suit said it lays the groundwork for eventually overturning the statewide ban.”

Philip Van Cleave, president of the Virginia Citizens Defense League, told the outlet, “We’re weighing our options because our ultimate goal is that we want all indoor ranges free of this. What the judge laid out was great reasoning why, really, none of the ranges should be falling under this.”

Anything else?

In reaction to the court’s decision, Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring (D) told The Washington Times, “Governor Northam’s efforts to save lives and slow the spread of COVID-19 are necessary and proving to be effective, but unfortunately, the gun lobby believes the ability to shoot a gun indoors during this pandemic is worth risking further spread of the virus and making Virginia communities and families less safe.”

Coronavirus Economy Intelwars lockdown Meat plants Shutdown

Farmers forced to kill hundreds of thousands of pigs as meat packing plants across the country close

As more and more large meat processing plants close amid the nation’s coronavirus pandemic, farmers across the country are running out of physical space for their pigs.

With slaughterhouses shuttered, hog farms became so crowded this week that many farmers have been forced to start killing their pigs en masse, the United Press International reported Thursday.

‘This is our biggest crisis ever’

“I really, really don’t want to kill my pigs,” said Howard Roth, president of the National Pork Producers Council. “But it is getting close here. I know there are farmers who have had to kill their pigs, farmers are aborting sows. It’s really awful.”

Roth, who raises and weans pigs in Wisconsin, added that in a typical week, the American pork industry kills 2.5 million pigs. But this week, that number will drop to 2 million, leaving a backup of 500,000 pigs.

“We were already backed up by about a half million. This is bad,” he said.

In Minnesota, 200,000 pigs could be killed, David Preisler, CEO of the Minnesota Pork Board, reported. He added that the impending slaughter is not for a lack of preparation. Farmers have prepared for a disease outbreak and many have opted to feed their hogs a high-fiber, low-calorie diet that slows down growth. But that works for only so long.

“You reach a point where you have to make a decision on things,” Preisler said. “And that’s unfortunately where we’re at right now.”

Numerous farms have also started to go out of business as a result of the pandemic, noted Joseph Kerns, president of Kerns & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in livestock. He said it was too soon to predict how many will eventually close, but predicted it could be a huge number.

“This is our biggest crisis ever in pork production,” Kerns said. “And I don’t say that lightly.”

Disaster for the food supply chain

The issue stems from a wave of recent meat processing plant closures in the country now totaling over a dozen.

Earlier this month, one of the nation’s largest meat producers, Smithfield Foods, closed its Sioux Falls, South Dakota, plant due to a virus outbreak among employees. On Monday, JBS, a large international meat processing company, closed its third plant, in Worthington, Minnesota. On Wednesday, Tyson Foods shut down its largest pork producing plant in Waterloo, Iowa.

At the time of its plant closure, Smithfield Foods CEO Kenneth Sullivan warned that the growing number of plant closures “is pushing our country perilously close to the edge in terms of our meat supply.”

“It is impossible to keep our grocery stores stocked if our plants are not running. These facility closures will also have severe, perhaps disastrous, repercussions for many in the supply chain, first and foremost our nation’s livestock farmers,” he added.

The pork industry is not the only meat industry that has been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Last week, a Delaware chicken company was forced to kill 2 million chickens after a number of employees came down with the illness.

brainwashed control Coronavirus COVID-19 Data defy orders demands Draconian Emergency Preparedness enforce tyranny falsified facts follow orders Headline News Health Intelwars Law Enforcement LIES lockdowns Mainstream media manipulated minds manipulated statistics masses Police State Politicians Shutdown stand up tyranny Violence

A Handful Of Cops Are Standing Up to Tyranny WITH The People

Some police officers have awoken to the world they are leaving for their children and are standing with the people against tyranny.  While these instances are still few and far between, it’s a good sign that at least a few may be realizing what kind of world they are enforcing at this point in human history.

For a long time, police officers and the military have done nothing more than blindly obey the commands of politicians and enforce even the most immoral of laws on the public.  That seems to be changing, and we can always hope it will change more rapidly in the coming days.

David Icke To LEOs & Military: “Look Your Children In The Eye” & Tell Them YOU Enforced Tyranny

According to a report from the Federalist, police chiefs from Texas to Washington are standing up against the draconian orders from local power-hunger tyrants demanding strict adherence to extreme social distancing measures to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. Even with manipulated statics designed to strike fear into the masses being blasted all over the news, there is no excuse for the tyranny we are seeing spread all over the planet at a much more rapid rate than this virus could ever hope to achieve. People, by and large, have started looking beyond the falsified “facts” provided by those who don’t care about your health, only about controlling you.

Lies & Data Manipulation: NYC Adds 3,700 Who Never Tested Positive To COVID-19 Death Toll

Anit-Body Study Shows COVID-19 Is Already “Widespread” & Death Toll Much Lower Than We Were Told

The following are examples of police standing against tyranny:

The Houston Police Officers’ Union declared Wednesday that its members would refrain from enforcing local County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s ruling deeming it mandatory for any individual over the age of 10 to wear a mask in public. –The Federalist

In Washington, Snohomish County Sheriff Adam Fortney announced Tuesday that his officers would also abstain from enforcement of lockdown orders, joining Franklin County Sheriff J.D. Raymond who said he would not stop churches and business from opening with reasonable distancing measures in place. – The Federalist

Further east in Michigan, four sheriffs in the northwest part of the mitten also announced last week that they would refuse to enforce Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s lockdown orders which have been the most extreme in the country.-The Federalist

For every one story about cops defying the orders to enforce tyranny, there are ten about cops following the commands of tyrants and arresting peaceful people. The mainstream media has quickly done an about-face when it comes to their views of the police. Force and violence used against “anti-vaxxers” and those who value freedom more than security are fine. Police brutality before COVID-19, however, was bad.  The hypocrisy is unbelievable. It’s apparent that the media is working hard to keep your mind locked in the fearful slave mentality.

We need more order followers to just stop at this point.  There is a big wall of violence created by the police state and the huge military that can be used to forcibly “keep people in line.” Once that dissolves, the elitists have no way to control the public any longer.  True justice, peace, and freedom is within our reach if more and more police officers and service members wake up to realize what kind of a world they are enforcing.

Detect, Deter and Annihilate: How the Police State Will Deal with a Coronavirus Outbreak

Just because it’s legal, it isn’t necessarily right, and just because it’s right doesn’t necessarily mean it’s legal. It appears that even a few police officers have figured it out at this point. Perhaps they know people are standing up and they don’t want to be on the wrong side of history, or perhaps they really do care about the kind of world they are enforcing and leaving to their children.

Mind-reading MSNBC panel: ‘Overwhelmingly white’ protesters demanding reopening of economy actually want ‘more black and brown people to die’

Far-left MSNBC panelists tried their collective hand at mind reading during an “AM Joy” segment Sunday, insisting that the “overwhelmingly white” protesters showing up to state capitals to demand the reopening of the economy amid the coronavirus shutdown are throwing a “temper tantrum” — and even worse “want more black and brown people to die” in the process.

What are the details?

“They are the Fox News, Nazi, confederate death cult rump of the Republican Party,” Dave Zirin, sports editor of The Nation, offered during the panel discussion before going on a virtue-signaling rant:

“And their very existence is a slap in the face not only to the health care workers on the front lines risking their lives every single day, but it’s also a slap in the face to the people who are actually dying from this virus in disproportionate numbers, black and brown people. These aren’t economically disenfranchised folks; these are small business owners, these are retirees. These are people who want their workers to be sent back to work, not themselves.”

Zirin called their protesting an “astroturf farce” and “racist” before insisting the media shouldn’t cover them.

“They frankly don’t deserve the sweat off our brow,” he concluded before firing off a little side-to-side head bob as if he just won a poetry slam.

Renee Graham — an opinion columnist for the Boston Globe — said the only reason the protests began is because white people conducting them felt inconvenienced given reports that COVID-19 has been disproportionately affecting people of color.

“One thing I think is really interesting is how these protests have started after all the headlines the last week or so about the disproportionate effect the virus is having in communities of color,” Graham said. “And so when I look at these protests, what I see are a bunch of white people essentially saying, ‘Oh, it’s affecting those people, so why do I have to change my life for them?'”

She also said the “overwhelmingly white” protesters simply “don’t care” about anyone but themselves.

“They’re out there waving American flags. They don’t care about America,” Graham added. “What they care about is [President] Donald Trump and what Donald Trump has created. They don’t care about the people risking their lives to keep this country moving … all they want is another battle waged for their lost cause. This isn’t a protest; this is a temper tantrum.”

Michael Harriot, senior writer for The Root, put it bluntly: “If you want the government to open up, then you want more black and brown people to die.”

anti-Trump chief of staff Comptroller Coronavirus Coronavirus america Donald Trump Economic fallout Intelwars MAGA Maryland Protesters republican party Shutdown Stay at home

State official’s chief of staff: Protesters against stay-at-home orders should be lured into ‘MAGA’ warehouse, locked in — ‘then let Darwin work his magic’

Len Foxwell — chief of staff for Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot — last Monday on Facebook shared a link to an article about a group called “The Patriot Movement,” which called on people to defy coronavirus-related stay-at-home orders,
WJZ-TV reported.

The station said Foxwell wrote the following on his post, which has since been taken down:

Let’s lure them into a big, big warehouse (we’ll call it something real classy to suit their refined sensibilities, like “America MAGA Platinum Palace”) with the promise of all the unfiltered Camels they can smoke, all the Salisbury steak and banana moonpies they can eat, washed down by all the Old Crow and Icehouse they can drink.

Plus, autographs from Scott Baio and pics with Tawny Kitean [sic], posing all sexy and everything on a sportscar, just like in that old Whitesnake video! Get them in, bar the door, and then let Darwin work his magic.

Backlash

Maryland Republican Party Chairman Dirk Haire got wind of Foxwell’s post and called on Franchot to fire his chief of staff, WJZ reported.

“I hope you agree with me that Mr. Foxwell’s statements suggesting the genocide of President Trump’s supporters are extraordinarily inappropriate and representative of a base and destructive mindset,” Haire wrote, the station said. “A review of Mr. Foxwell’s Facebook page shows many similar posts by Mr. Foxwell.”

Haire also said Franchot — a Democrat — should keep his future in mind, the Baltimore Sun reported.

“As an announced candidate for governor of Maryland in 2022, I expect you to do the right thing and terminate Mr. Foxwell’s employment as your chief of staff,” Haire wrote to Franchot, the paper said. “If you do not, you can be certain that Mr. Foxwell’s views, and your refusal to repudiate such views, will be made aware to every voter in Maryland during the 2022 campaign by the Maryland Republican Party.”

‘My deep, searing distaste for the President’s politics’

Foxwell on Saturday responded that his comments were made “in a typical spirit of sarcasm and jest” and were not directed at Trump supporters but rather at the leaders and members of the group, WJZ said:

Again, this had nothing to do with rank-and-file Trump supporters — notwithstanding my deep, searing distaste for the President’s politics and his catastrophic mismanagement of this crisis. Nor, obviously, did I ever express hope that someone would die. Any suggestions to the contrary are simply, absolutely false. By now, it’s fairly obvious that, like so many other social media brush fires that revolve around this President, a handful of provocateurs twisted unrelated content to suit their narrative of victimization and government persecution.

‘I remain 100 percent supportive of Len Foxwell’

Franchot on Saturday night wrote the following on Facebook about the controversy:

Over the past few hours, I’ve fielded a few angry messages and texts from people who are demanding that my Chief of Staff, Len Foxwell, resign or be fired. This, in response to satirical comments that he made on his personal social media feed about the Patriot Movement and their willingness to violate “Stay at Home” orders imposed by the Governor of Idaho.

It has never been my policy to comment on social media content posted by members of my staff, so long as it is done on their own time. I won’t start now. Suffice to say, however, that I remain 100 percent supportive of Len Foxwell and the exceptional work he continues to do for me and for the people of Maryland. He is an exceptional public servant, a dear family friend, and I look forward to his continued service as my Chief of Staff for years to come.

Enjoy your evening and the rest of this weekend. Stay safe, everyone!

How did folks react to the comptroller’s defense of his chief of staff?

Franchot’s Facebook post drew about 2,000 comments — and as you can imagine, more than a few were angry at his support for Foxwell:

  • “You just lost my vote …”
  • “MD gov’t is becoming a huge joke. This statement and Mr. Foxwell’s are a disgrace coming from people CLAIMING to work for the best interest of the public. Just disgusting. Supporting people that are this partisan will ruin our society.”
  • “But these stay at home nuts are about saving so many lives. Now they are making excuses for having Naziesque fantasies. Shame on you Peter Franchot for supporting someone who fantasizes of murdering people he doesn’t agree with.”
  • “So because he is a family friend you condone his actions above the Marylander’s you serve. You are just as crooked as he. Time for you to go too. Wake up people of Maryland!!!”
  • “Peter Franchot lest you forget, you both serve at the behest of the voters of Maryland. They have long memories and will remember Len Foxwell’s nasty assessment of how he sees the people of Maryland. Reminds me of Hillary Clinton’s ‘Basket of Deplorables’ comment that may have cost her the election.”

Anything else?

Haire on Sunday responded to Franchot’s statement by emailing the following to party supporters, the Sun said: “The Maryland Republican Party will be ready to deploy significant amounts of advertising and communications dollars in the 2022 Governor’s race to make sure every Maryland voter is aware of Comptroller Franchot’s views.”

Foxwell earned $181,000 last year, the paper reported, citing a state salary database.

Oh yeah, remember Foxwell’s mention of conservative actor Scott Baio in his controversial Facebook post? Well, Baio has something for Foxwell:

Will You Resume Normal Daily Activities Once The Coronavirus Restrictions Are Finally Lifted?

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The Economic Collapse  Blog.

COVID-19 has turned all of our lives upside down, and most people are quite eager for a return to normalcy.  But as you will see below, fear of the coronavirus is going to prevent the vast majority of Americans from immediately resuming all of their normal daily activities once the coronavirus restrictions have been lifted.

Every day there are more stories in the news about prominent individuals that have died from the virus, and the chilling testimonies of those that have wrestled with the virus and survived are extremely sobering.  Yes, most people that catch this virus will ultimately recover, but the fact that tens of thousands of Americans are dying is seriously scaring a lot of people.  And even though the “shelter-in-place” orders appear to be slowing the spread of the virus to a certain extent, the official U.S. death toll has actually doubled over the past week

U.S. deaths from the novel coronavirus topped 25,000 on Tuesday, doubling in one week, according to a Reuters tally, as officials debated how to reopen the economy without reigniting the outbreak.

The United States, with the world’s third-largest population, has recorded more fatalities from COVID-19 than any other country. There were a total of nearly 597,000 U.S. cases – three times more than any other country – with nearly 2 million reported cases globally.

And according to Worldometers.info, more than 2,200 Americans have died over the last 24 hours, and that would make this the deadliest day of this pandemic so far.

So it is easy to understand why so many people out there are deeply afraid of this virus.  Most of us don’t want to die, and COVID-19 can kill you.

In recent days, there has been a whole lot of talk about “reopening America”, and many are assuming that life will start to look somewhat normal once that happens.

But Gallup just conducted a survey in which they asked people if they would be “resuming their normal daily activities” once the restrictions are lifted, and these were the results

Americans remain hesitant about resuming their normal daily activities amid the COVID-19 outbreak according to a Gallup question first asked in late March and repeated in early April.

When asked how quickly they will return to their normal activities once the government lifts restrictions and businesses and schools start to reopen, the vast majority of Americans say they would wait and see what happens with the spread of the virus (71%) and another 10% would wait indefinitely. Just 20% say they would return to their normal activities immediately.

In other words, about 80 percent of the country is going to take a hesitant approach, and that has huge implications for our economy moving forward.

Of course, all of the coronavirus restrictions are not going to be lifted any time soon anyway, and this is something that I discussed yesterday.

Today, California Governor Gavin Newsom set forth six specific conditions which must be met before the restrictions will be lifted in his state…

  1. The ability to monitor and protect our communities through testing, contact tracing, isolating, and supporting those who are positive or exposed.
  2. The ability to prevent infection in people who are at risk for more severe COVID-19.
  3. The ability of the hospital and health systems to handle surges.
  4. The ability to develop therapeutics to meet the demand.
  5. The ability for businesses, schools, and child care facilities to support physical distancing.
  6. The ability to determine when to reinstitute certain measures, such as the stay-at-home orders, if necessary.

Needless to say, California may continue to be locked down for an extended period of time to come.

But the longer that these shutdowns persist, the more impatient many Americans are going to become.

Already, we are starting to see protests pop up all over the nation.  For example, just check out what is happening in Michigan

At least 15,000 cars and trucks are expected to descend on Michigan’s state capital on Wednesday to protest what they’re calling Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s tyrannical new guidelines to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus in the state.

The so-called “drive-by” demonstration – in order to maintain social distancing — aims to bring traffic to a gridlock in Lansing and protest the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order by Whitmer, a Democrat, mandating what businesses could stay home, what some businesses could sell and ordering people in her state against any gatherings – no matter the size or family ties.

I am seeing a lot of anger out there right now.  Business owners, workers, and entrepreneurs are not being allowed to make a living and provide for their families, and I can certainly understand their frustration.

And the longer that things are shut down, the worse this economic downturn is going to become.  At this point, the IMF is projecting the worst performance for the global economy since the Great Depression of the 1930s

The global economy will this year likely suffer the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, the International Monetary Fund said Tuesday, as governments worldwide grapple with the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Washington-based organization now expects the global economy to contract by 3% in 2020. By contrast, in January it had forecast a global GDP (gross domestic product) expansion of 3.3% for this year.

Actually, I believe that the IMF’s projection is way too optimistic.

If global GDP only declines by 3 percent in 2020, that should be considered a rip-roaring success.

Now that the U.S. has become the epicenter for this pandemic, our nation is being hit particularly hard economically, and we are being warned that more than 2,000 cities “are anticipating major budget shortfalls this year”

More than 2,100 U.S. cities are anticipating major budget shortfalls this year and many are planning to slash programs and cut staff in response, according to a new survey of local officials released Tuesday, illustrating the widespread financial havoc threatened by the coronavirus pandemic.

The bleak outlook — shared by local governments representing roughly 93 million people nationwide — led some top mayors and other leaders to call for greater federal aid to protect cities now forced to choose between balancing their cash-strapped ledgers and sustaining the public services that residents need most.

Of course, this is just only the beginning of the end.  All of the economic and financial bubbles are bursting, and this is going to cause severe distress on the national, state, local and community levels.

And as long as COVID-19 is still spreading somewhere, fear of the coronavirus is going to cause a lot of people to greatly alter their normal economic patterns.

So the truth is that we have a very long and very painful road ahead of us, and the months to come are going to make the last recession look like a Sunday picnic.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Please keep in mind the death numbers are being overstated to keep the public in a state of fear to enact these totalitarian controls.  The longer this lockdown is in place the more deaths we will see from an economic crash. There are no solutions, only tradeoffs.
