A great many gun owners have been complacent. In 2020, with the numerous riots, the push to defund the police, the attempt to delegitimize the police, and the Supreme Court refusing to hear Second Amendment cases, it is harder to ignore the utility of firearms ownership and the threats to the Republic.
Former U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) was replaced by voters in 2018 and is now a political talk show pundit. During a discussion about the violence erupting in America’s communities, including Kenosha, Wisconsin, Portland, Oregon, and her home-state St. Louis, Missouri, Sen. McCaskill opined women are “sick of all these guns.” Data shows she couldn’t be more mistaken.
It’s increasingly clear to even the average American that if riots come to your neighborhood, you’re on your own. The message received is increasingly be this: if your plan is to wait until the police show up to provide “protection,” be prepared to wait a long time. Consequently, as violence appears to surge in America’s cities, millions of Americans have become first-time gun owners.
Small Arms Analytics & Forecasting (SAAF) estimates August 2020 U.S. firearms unit sales at 1.8 million units, a year-over-year increase of 57.8% from August 2019.

Government Officials Aren’t Keeping Us “Safe”
There are two trends at work which are making Americans doubt government law enforcement is reliable and effective.
On the one hand, the public is witnessing nightly displays of looting, rioting, and general civil unrest.
At the same time, many police officers don’t appear particularly able or willing to defend the public against looters and rioters.
Facebook is threatening to delete Mark Dice’s account with over 800,000 followers because he shared a video of accused shooter Kyle Rittenhouse offering medical aid to protesters during the Black Lives Matter riots in Kenosha last week.
Kyle Rittenhouse spoke out from jail on Tuesday evening to thank all his supporters from “the bottom of my heart” in a call with his attorney John Pierce.
This has pretty much become the M.O. of the mainstream media in the age of “elevating black voices.” No matter what the BLM and Antifa mobs do, whether it involves destruction or violence, it is justified as demonstration of “protest.” And no matter what those being targeted do to try to defend themselves, it is dubbed as “aggression” and “racism.” — The media, in other words, is complicit in the violent destruction of America at the hands of BLM and Antifa, glorifying its members as “heroes” while decrying patriots as “part of the problem.” Pay close attention to how the narratives are written and see for yourself the way that self-defense is quickly becoming an act of “terrorism” in the eyes of the far-left corporate media.
Through their actions, these politicians have made clear that they are willing to sacrifice the safety of their constituents, but are unwilling to compromise their personal safety in the process. Such a flagrant breach of the social contract forfeits whatever perceived moral authority they may have claimed in order to control how their constituents provide for their own defense.
“If the left gains power,” the president warned, “they will demolish the suburbs, confiscate your guns and appoint justices who will wipe away your Second Amendment and other constitutional freedoms.”
According to a report by the Washington Post, the National Sports Shooting Foundation says that first-time gun buyers played a heavy role in the increase. Women and black Americans have also shown interest in arming themselves this year.
“Nearly 5 million Americans purchased a firearm for the very first time in 2020. NSSF surveyed firearm retailers which reported that 40% of sales were conducted to purchasers who have never previously owned a firearm,” the organization said in its analysis, which tracked background checks associated with the sale of a firearm reported by the FBI’s National Instant Background Check System.
The organization said this uptick in purchases by those who have not owned a gun before, equates to nearly 5 million first-time gun owners in the first seven months of 2020.
“This is a tectonic shift in the firearm and ammunition industry marketplace and complete transformation of today’s gun-owning community,” said Lawrence G. Keane, a senior vice president at the foundation.
“These first-time buyers represent a group of people who, until now, were agnostic regarding firearm ownership. That’s rapidly changing, and these Americans are taking hold of their God-given right to keep and bear arms and protect themselves and their loved ones,” Mr. Keane said.
Kyle Rittenhouse was working as a community lifeguard in Kenosha on the day of the shooting, went to clean vandalism off a public high school near the Kenosha County Courthouse after work and did not carry a gun across state lines, according to a statement from his legal defense team released on Friday evening.
Firearm Instructors united August 15th and 16th in Taylor – a Detroit suburb – to provide free firearm training to 1,938 metro-Detroit women. They answered a call for assistance by Rick Ector, a Detroit Firearm Instructor, who conducts an annual program to give women a free range safety briefing and a free shooting lesson. Last year, 814 local women were trained by the program. At that point in time, it was the program’s highest-ever attendance total.
The program was created by Ector nine years ago after watching a local story on the news about a woman’s lifeless and naked body being found in a deserted field. He was inspired to ask four fellow firearm instructors he knew to donate their time to help him give women a free shooting lesson. That year fifty women were trained. All expenses were donated by the gun range and Ector.
The free program, now in its ninth year of operation, has grown steadily over the years. Accordingly, Ector set a goal of training a total of 1,500 women this year by conducting his program at two local ranges – “Recoil Gun Range” and “Top Gun Shooting Sports.” Both ranges are located in Taylor, Michigan.
It’s too bad the gun owners he swindled for campaign contributions don’t have recourse. A look at his campaign literature ought to, at a minimum, provide ample evidence of mail fraud.
“If Kyle cannot defend himself under the circumstances shown in videos, we are all at risk.”
Lin Wood, the famed attorney who successfully represented Covington Catholic’s Nick Sandmann in multiple lawsuits against the media, graciously and heroically offered to help Kyle Rittenhouse for free on Wednesday night after GoFundMe suspended his legal defense fund.
Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, was reportedly arrested at his home in Antioch, Illinois on Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder for shooting three rioters in Kenosha, Wisconsin who were filmed violently attacking him on Tuesday night.
Three rioters were shot and two died after allegedly attacking an armed man in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Tuesday night.
The takeaway for gun owners could not be clearer: Firearm prohibition activists intend to weaponize the legal system against the industry that sustains their rights. — And make no mistake, the same politically-motivated judges who once tried to abolish the Second Amendment’s protection for individual gun owners entirely would be only too happy to accommodate them.
In short, when Senator Harris claims to support the Second Amendment, she is not telling the truth. The facts show that she has been an avowed enemy of the rights of law-abiding gun owners. Whether it is supporting bans on firearms, denying people the ability to carry firearms for personal protection, depriving gun owners of privacy and due process, or targeting manufacturers and dealers, she has not been on the side of freedom. — Quite frankly, Harris has one of the most anti-Second Amendment track records we have ever seen for a person on a major party’s presidential ticket. She will be a heartbeat away from the presidency should Joe Biden win. Second Amendment supporters should cast their votes accordingly.
And let’s be clear about something else: The amendment’s “shall not be infringed” clause is among the most ignored passages in the U.S. Constitution. It’s ignored by members of Congress, federal and state judges, city councils, Left-wing anti-gun groups, and Americans who don’t think anyone should have a gun. — The clause is simple, straightforward, and unambiguous. It doesn’t say ‘shall not be infringed unless…’
It’s no secret that most in the legacy media do not support the Second Amendment; at least, not a proper interpretation of what that amendment actually protects. It’s also no secret that most of those same purveyors of “news” will do everything they can to attack President Trump, and defend the Biden-Harris ticket—now the official Democrat ticket for President in 2020—any chance they can get.
Purchasing a gun is difficult these days, especially since demand is soaring as concerned Americans are arming up as the country transforms into a violent mess.
Readers have already been briefed, on multiple occasions, of the developing ammo shortage this year.
Fears Of Nationwide 9MM Ammo Shortage Sparks Panic Hoarding
Surging Gun Sales Triggers Second Ammo Shortage Of This Year
We first shined the spotlight on surging gun and ammo demand at the start of the virus pandemic. Then found demand for weapons and bullets rose in early summer as social unrest unfolded.
If nothing else, this shows the goalposts are continuously being moved to the left. If the “centrists” of the party are all in for eviscerating a keystone right and ignoring the crystal clear mandate of “shall not be infringed,” you know what those pulling sentiment in that direction intend to end up with. That also allows those previously considered “moderate” to now be smeared as “extremists,” with accusations of being haters not far behind.
It’s a rather strange claim of the American far left that their interests are opposed to that of corporate America, because there’s virtually no evidence to support it. Quite the contrary: During the wave of Black Lives Matter rioting that took place during the early summer of 2020, American corporations marched in lockstep. Not only did they use social media to swear fealty to this political movement, but they also made massive internal changes in conformity with BLM propaganda.
