‘Sesame Street’ introduces two gay dads and their daughter for ‘Family Day’ episode — the first married gay couple to appear on iconic children’s show

“Sesame Street” introduced two gay dads and their daughter for a recent “Family Day” episode — and it was the first time the iconic children’s TV program has shown a married gay couple, according to
Yahoo Entertainment, which called it “a bold statement for LGBTQ visibility.”

What are the details?

The outlet said in a
separate story that the episode’s two gay dads are Frank (Alex Weisman) and Dave (Chris Costa), the brother of bike-store owner Nina (Chris Costa), and their daughter is Mia (Olivia Perez).

In the
clip of the episode, the couple arrives onscreen at about the 2-minute mark, announcing in unison, “We’re here!”

After some hugs, Nina excitedly says, “OK, everybody, everybody! I want you to meet my brother Dave, his husband Frank, and my
sobrina [niece] Mia!”

From there it’s your garden-variety “Sesame Street” stuff, but toward the end of the episode, Frank tells the group that “there’s all kinds of different families, but what makes us a family is that we love each other.”

‘Love is love’

“Sesame Street has always been a welcoming place of diversity and inclusion,” cast member Alan Muraoka
wrote on Facebook. “So I’m so excited to introduce Nina’s Brother Dave, his husband Frank, and their daughter Mia to our sunny street. Our Family Day episode drops today on HBOMax and on YouTube … I am so honored and humbled to have co-directed this important and milestone episode. Love is love, and we are so happy to add this special family to our Sesame family. Happy Pride to all!!!!”

‘Undeniable trend of inclusion’

“The ‘Family Day’ episode of Sesame Street sends the simple and important message that families come in all forms and that love and acceptance are always the most important ingredients in a family,” GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis told Yahoo Entertainment. “Frank and Dave, as Mia’s dads, are the latest characters in an undeniable trend of inclusion across kids & family programming, one that allows millions of proud LGBTQ parents, and our children, to finally get to see families like ours reflected on TV.”

Here’s the episode:

Anything else?

While the “Family Day” episode may have been historic for “Sesame Street,” it was far from the first time it’s touched on LGBTQ issues.

Last year, Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) blasted the program for a Pride Month tweet:

“Sesame Street” posted a similar tweet this month:

Yahoo Entertainment also noted that the narrator for an “Elmo’s World” segment in the show’s 2017 Father’s Day episode acknowledged same-sex couples by saying, “You might have a stepdad, or even two dads.” The outlet added that a “Sesame Street” episode in August 2017 (“Hello Rudy”) had a child saying “I love my moms” just before getting kissed by both of her moms.

In addition, Yahoo Entertainment noted that “Sesame Street” has also “stood up for equality by welcoming several out celebrities on the show — including Ellen DeGeneres, Billy Eichner, Billy Porter and recently Lil Nas X.”

23 and me cold cases databases DNA extended family family guilt by association Headline News illegitimate Intelwars Law Enforcement Police State Rapists Serial Killers technological age testing used against you

The War Over Genetic Privacy Is Just Beginning

This article was originally published by John W. Whitehead and Nisha Whitehead.

When you upload your DNA, you’re potentially becoming a genetic informant on the rest of your family.”— Law professor Elizabeth Joh

“Guilt by association” has taken on new connotations in the technological age.

All of those fascinating, genealogical searches that allow you to trace your family tree by way of a DNA sample can now be used against you and those you love.

As of 2019, more than 26 million people had added their DNA to ancestry databases. It’s estimated those databases could top 100 million profiles within the year, thanks to the aggressive marketing of companies such as Ancestry and 23andMe.

It’s a tempting proposition: provide some mega-corporation with a spit sample or a cheek swab, and in return, you get to learn everything about who you are, where you came from, and who is part of your extended family.

The possibilities are endless.

You could be the fourth cousin once removed of Queen Elizabeth II of England. Or the illegitimate grandchild of an oil tycoon. Or the sibling of a serial killer.

Without even realizing it, by submitting your DNA to an ancestry database, you’re giving the police access to the genetic makeup, relationships, and health profiles of every relative—past, present, and future—in your family, whether or not they ever agreed to be part of such a database.

After all, a DNA print reveals everything about “who we are, where we come from, and who we will be.”

It’s what police like to refer to as a “modern fingerprint.”

Whereas fingerprint technology created a watershed moment for police in their ability to “crack” a case, DNA technology is now being hailed by law enforcement agencies as the magic bullet in crime-solving.

Indeed, police have begun using ancestry databases to solve cold cases that have remained unsolved for decades.

For instance, in 2018, former police officer Joseph DeAngelo was flagged as the notorious “Golden State Killer” through the use of genetic genealogy, which allows police to match up an unknown suspect’s crime scene DNA with that of any family members in a genealogy database. Police were able to identify DeAngelo using the DNA of a distant cousin found in a public DNA database. Once police narrowed the suspect list to DeAngelo, they tracked him—snatched up a tissue he had tossed in a trash can—and used his DNA on the tissue to connect him to a rash of rapes and murders from the 1970s and ‘80s.

Although DeAngelo was the first public arrest made using forensic genealogy, police have identified more than 150 suspects since then. Most recently, police relied on genetic genealogy to nab the killer of a 15-year-old girl who was stabbed to death nearly 50 years ago.

Who wouldn’t want to get psychopaths and serial rapists off the streets and safely behind bars, right? At least, that’s the argument being used by law enforcement to support their unrestricted access to these genealogy databases.

“In the interest of public safety, don’t you want to make it easy for people to be caught? Police really want to do their job. They’re not after you. They just want to make you safe,” insists Colleen Fitzpatrick, a co-founder of the DNA Doe Project, which identifies unknown bodies and helps find suspects in old crimes.

Except it’s not just psychopaths and serial rapists who get caught up in the investigative dragnet.

Anyone who comes up as a possible DNA match—including distant family members—suddenly becomes part of a circle of suspects that must be tracked, investigated and ruled out.

Although a number of states had forbidden police from using government databases to track family members of suspects, the genealogy websites provided a loophole that proved irresistible to law enforcement.

Hoping to close that loophole, a few states have started introducing legislation to restrict when and how police use these genealogical databases, with Maryland requiring that they can only be used for serious violent crimes such as murder and rape, only after they exhaust other investigatory methods, and only under the supervision of a judge.

Yet the debate over genetic privacy—and when one’s DNA becomes a public commodity outside the protection of the Fourth Amendment’s prohibition on warrantless searches and seizures—is really only beginning.

Certainly, it’s just a matter of time before the government gets hold of our DNA, either through mandatory programs carried out in connection with law enforcement and corporate America, by warrantlessly accessing our familial DNA shared with genealogical services such as Ancestry and 23andMe, or through the collection of our “shed” or “touch” DNA.

According to research published in the journal Science, more than 60 percent of Americans who have some European ancestry can be identified using DNA databases, even if they have not submitted their own DNA. According to law professor Natalie Ram, one genealogy profile can lead to as many as 300 other people.

That’s just on the commercial side.

All 50 states now maintain their own DNA databases, although the protocols for collection differ from state to state. Increasingly, many of the data from local databanks are being uploaded to CODIS (Combined DNA Index System), the FBI’s massive DNA database, which has become a de facto way to identify and track the American people from birth to death.

Even hospitals have gotten in on the game by taking and storing newborn babies’ DNA, often without their parents’ knowledge or consent. It’s part of the government’s mandatory genetic screening of newborns. In many states, the DNA is stored indefinitely.

What this means for those being born today is inclusion in a government database that contains intimate information about who they are, their ancestry, and what awaits them in the future, including their inclinations to be followers, leaders, or troublemakers.

Get ready, folks, because the government— helped along by Congress (which adopted legislation allowing police to collect and test DNA immediately following arrests), President Trump (who signed the Rapid DNA Act into law), the courts (which have ruled that police can routinely take DNA samples from people who are arrested but not yet convicted of a crime), and local police agencies (which are chomping at the bit to acquire this new crime-fighting gadget)—has embarked on a diabolical campaign to create a nation of suspects predicated on a massive national DNA database.

Referred to as “magic boxes,” Rapid DNA machines—portable, about the size of a desktop printer, highly unregulated, far from fool-proof, and so fast that they can produce DNA profiles in less than two hours—allow police to go on fishing expeditions for any hint of possible misconduct using DNA samples.

Journalist Heather Murphy explains: “As police agencies build out their local DNA databases, they are collecting DNA not only from people who have been charged with major crimes but also, increasingly, from people who are merely deemed suspicious, permanently linking their genetic identities to criminal databases.”

The ramifications of these DNA databases are far-reaching.

At a minimum, they will do away with any semblance of privacy or anonymity. The lucrative possibilities for hackers and commercial entities looking to profit off one’s biological record are endless.

Moreover, while much of the public debate, legislative efforts, and legal challenges in recent years have focused on the protocols surrounding when police can legally collect a suspect’s DNA (with or without a search warrant and whether upon arrest or conviction), the question of how to handle “shed” or “touch” DNA has largely slipped through without much debate or opposition.

As scientist Leslie A. Pray notes:

We all shed DNA, leaving traces of our identity practically everywhere we go. Forensic scientists use DNA left behind on cigarette butts, phones, handles, keyboards, cups, and numerous other objects, not to mention the genetic content found in drops of bodily fluid, like blood and semen. In fact, the garbage you leave for curbside pickup is a potential gold mine of this sort of material. All of this shed or so-called abandoned DNA is free for the taking by local police investigators hoping to crack unsolvable cases. Or, if the future scenario depicted at the beginning of this article is any indication, shed DNA is also free for inclusion in a secret universal DNA databank.

What this means is that if you have the misfortune to leave your DNA traces anywhere a crime has been committed, you’ve already got a file somewhere in some state or federal database—albeit it may be a file without a name. As Heather Murphy warns in the New York Times: “The science-fiction future, in which police can swiftly identify robbers and murderers from discarded soda cans and cigarette butts, has arrived…  Genetic fingerprinting is set to become as routine as the old-fashioned kind.

Even old samples taken from crime scenes and “cold” cases are being unearthed and mined for their DNA profiles.

Today, helped along by robotics and automation, DNA processing, analysis, and reporting takes far less time and can bring forth all manner of information, right down to a person’s eye color and relatives. Incredibly, one company specializes in creating “mug shots” for police based on DNA samples from unknown “suspects” which are then compared to individuals with similar genetic profiles.

If you haven’t yet connected the dots, let me point the way.

Having already used surveillance technology to render the entire American populace potential suspects, DNA technology in the hands of government will complete our transition to a suspect society in which we are all merely waiting to be matched up with a crime.

No longer can we consider ourselves innocent until proven guilty.

Now we are all suspects in a DNA lineup until circumstances and science say otherwise.

Suspect Society, meet the American police state.

Every dystopian sci-fi film we’ve ever seen is suddenly converging into this present moment in a dangerous trifecta between science, technology and a government that wants to be all-seeing, all-knowing and all-powerful.

By tapping into your phone lines and cell phone communications, the government knows what you say. By uploading all of your emails, opening your mail, and reading your Facebook posts and text messages, the government knows what you write. By monitoring your movements with the use of license plate readers, surveillance cameras and other tracking devices, the government knows where you go.

By churning through all of the detritus of your life—what you read, where you go, what you say—the government can predict what you will do. By mapping the synapses in your brain, scientists—and in turn, the government—will soon know what you remember.

And by accessing your DNA, the government will soon know everything else about you that they don’t already know: your family chart, your ancestry, what you look like, your health history, your inclination to follow orders, or chart your own course, etc.

Of course, none of these technologies are foolproof.

Nor are they immune from tampering, hacking, or user bias.

Nevertheless, they have become a convenient tool in the hands of government agents to render null and void the Constitution’s requirements of privacy and its prohibitions against unreasonable searches and seizures.

What this amounts to is a scenario in which we have little to no defense against charges of wrongdoing, especially when “convicted” by technology, and even less protection against the government sweeping up our DNA in much the same way it sweeps up our phone calls, emails, and text messages.

With the entire governmental system shifting into a pre-crime mode aimed at detecting and pursuing those who “might” commit a crime before they have an inkling, let alone an opportunity, to do so, it’s not so far-fetched to imagine a scenario in which government agents (FBI, local police, etc.) target potential criminals based on their genetic disposition to be a “troublemaker” or their relationship to past dissenters.

Equally disconcerting: if scientists can, using DNA, track salmon across hundreds of square miles of streams and rivers, how easy will it be for government agents to not only know everywhere we’ve been and how long we were at each place but collect our easily shed DNA and add it to the government’s already burgeoning database?

Not to be overlooked, DNA evidence is not infallible: it can be wrong, either through human error, tampering, or even outright fabrication, and it happens more often than we are told. The danger, warns scientist Dan Frumkin, is that crime scenes can be engineered with fabricated DNA.

Now if you happen to be the kind of person who trusts the government implicitly and refuses to believe it would ever do anything illegal or immoral, then the prospect of government officials—police, especially—using fake DNA samples to influence the outcome of a case might seem outlandish.

Yet as history shows, the probability of our government acting in a way that is not only illegal but immoral becomes less a question of “if” and more a question of “when.”

With technology, the courts, the corporations, and Congress conspiring to invade our privacy on a cellular level, suddenly the landscape becomes that much more dystopian.

As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, this is the slippery slope toward a dystopian world in which there is nowhere to run and nowhere to hide.

3-year-old disabled family Intelwars Mask plane southwest airlines

Family kicked off plane over fears disabled 3-year-old might take off his mask, mom says

A Colorado mother says her family was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight due to a pilot’s concern that her disabled 3-year-old son might not keep his mask on during the entire flight, despite her insistence that the boy had undergone training to keep his mask on at all times.

What are the details?

Caroline Scott told “Fox & Friends” that she called Southwest ahead of their flight to alert them that her son, Orion, has sensory processing disorder — which makes him feel touch more strongly than others — but that the family had prepared to be sure he could remain masked up if any issues arose.

The Scotts wanted to make sure there wasn’t any trouble on their trip to visit Orion’s 94-year-old great-grandmother in Florida, KVOA-TV reported.

“He’s been working really hard with his occupational therapist, with his doctors, with us as his parents,” Scott told Fox co-host Ainsley Earhardt, according to dictation by The Daily Caller. “And so I’d called the airline ahead of time just to let them know that my son had sensory processing disorder and that we didn’t need an exemption, he can wear his mask and he will, but that if he had any frustration or difficulties that we as his parents had the tools and skills we needed to help him to cope with that and to keep his mask on.”

According to Scott, Southwest said they would make a note about the situation and that there would not be an issue. But once they arrived at their gate, the agent saw the note on Orion’s ticket and flagged it. The agent told Scott, “We need to get a supervisor to approve you all to fly today.”

There was a back-and-forth between Southwest employees, but the supervisor agreed to allow the family to board after Scott’s assurances that she could “100% guarantee” Orion would keep his mask on.

But once they were settled into their seats on the plane, the family was booted. Scott said she heard the captain insisting from the cockpit that he “won’t make any exception” and that “the rules are the rules.”

When asked for comment from Fox, Southwest Airlines provided a statement saying:

“Southwest Airlines regrets any inconvenience…Southwest employees are working each day to ensure the requirements of the federal mandate with sensitivity during these challenging times.”

After being kicked off their flight, the Scott family spent nearly $2,000 to fly with another airline the following day. Southwest told KVOA that they regretted the family’s inconvenience, and said that customer service would be reaching out.

Ms. Scott contends, “We were deplaned not for our behaviors, but for disclosing my son’s disability, which is discrimination.”

family Intelwars Kicked Mask plane Police Spirit Airlines toddler

Watch: Family with toddler, pregnant mom and special needs child ?kicked off Spirit Airlines flight?

A video went viral Monday showing a family being temporarily booted from a Spirit Airlines flight over alleged mask violations, sparking outrage on social media as a flight attendant was seen noting that the couple’s 2-year-old was not wearing a facial covering while she was eating.

The airline said the situation had nothing to do with the toddler, but that compliance with the federal mask mandate was the issue.

What are the details?

Initial footage circulated online showed a flight attendant approaching a couple and asking them to “pick up [their] stuff” and get off the plane due to “non-compliance with the masks.”

The husband and wife argue that they have been wearing their masks, and the attendant points to their toddler — who is seen eating with a spoon — and says, “she’s not wearing a mask.”

At that point, other passengers step in to defend the family, asserting that other young children on the flight had their masks off and that the parents had also been in compliance. The attendant then claims she’s going to call the police.

In a follow-up video, the father expressed his outrage over the situation, saying that the confrontation was planned before they even got on board and that “the whole plane was OK with it” but that “there was one African American that was not OK with it.” The dad pointed out that his wife is pregnant, and said they also had their special needs son in tow.

The father said in a later video that there was “a happy ending” and that they were back on the flight.

“I think they removed that steward that wanted us off for no reason,” he added.

The Daily Mail reported that a male flight attendant who purportedly had an issue with the family was kicked off the plane, publishing a picture showing a black man walking while towing luggage as an apparent police officer walks ahead of the man.

But Spirit Airlines says there are a lot of untruths being reported about the incident.

A spokesman for the airline told TheBlaze:

I want to emphasize that this was not about a two-year-old. Social media videos only captured a small part of what happened today. This flight was delayed because of the behavior of adults, which happened prior to any videos. There is also no truth to claims that police became involved with or removed a flight attendant. Orlando police have stated publicly that, though present at the gate, they did not take an active role in this situation.

Spirit Airlines said in its official statement:

We’re aware of incorrect information circulating about Spirit Airlines Flight 138 from Orlando to Atlantic City. The flight was delayed due to adults who did not comply with the federal mask requirement. We allowed the Guests to continue on the flight to their destination after assurances of compliance.

Anything else?

Spirit Airlines has made headlines twice before this incident over separate instances of booting autistic children from their flights due to noncompliance with masks.

2nd Amend. family Florida gun rights guns home invasion Intelwars Self-Defense watch

Granddad shoots one of two armed home invaders in ill-fated heist — and victim’s granddaughter came up with idea for the crime, cops say

The good news? A 65-year-old Florida homeowner successfully fought back against two armed home invaders Thursday morning — managing to turn the tables on the pair by using his own gun and shooting one of them before they took off from his Pensacola residence, WKRG-TV reported.

The bad news? The victim’s granddaughter came up with the idea for the ill-fated heist, authorities told the station.

What are the details?

Cynthia Register and her friends were trying to come up with bail money for another friend when Register said her grandfather had some, the station said — and then they hatched a plan to rob Register’s grandfather, WKRG reported.

Image source: Escambia County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office

So just before 4 a.m. Tayari Crear and Jemarquz Cromwell entered the home of Register’s grandfather in the 7300 block of West Jackson Street.

Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons offered a bit of a play by play on what happened next.

“Mind you Cynthia Register, granddaughter, does not go in the house. Why? Because she knows that Grampa has a gun. So she decides to stay outside,” Simmons said. “But she allows Tayari Crear and Jemarquz Cromwell to enter the home. And granddaughter was right. Granddaddy did have a gun. He did use the gun because he was being burglarized. So Granddaddy shot Cromwell in the chest area, and then they fled the home.”

Then what happened?

Crear and Cromwell climbed in a vehicle and drove off, but they wrecked the car a few blocks away, the sheriff’s office said.

Image source: Escambia County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office

Then another vehicle pulled up to the crash site and drove away with both suspects, authorities said, adding that the two suspects were dropped off at a local hospital where they were met by deputies. Natalie Gagne was the driver who picked up Crear and Cromwell after they wrecked their vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.

Image source: Escambia County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office

It was discovered that Register, Gagne, Crear, Cromwell — as well as Clint Hochhalter and Dominique Gonzalez — came up with the plan to rob Register’s grandfather after Register pitched the idea to the group, authorities said.

Register and Hochhalter have been arrested and charged with armed home invasion robbery (principle), the sheriff’s office said, while Gagne, Crear, Gonzalez, and Cromwell were arrested and charged with armed home invasion robbery.

Christmas classic rock family Gift Intelwars Rod Stewart Rolling Stones T rex Velvet Underground

My Uncle Joe, his riveting stories from Vietnam and hippie-era San Francisco — and four classic rock albums he gave me for Christmas

Whenever my Uncle Joe enters a room — or more particularly a conversation — I’m hooked.

From the time I was a kid, his engaging presence, sense of humor, and one-of-a-kind storytelling left me wide-eyed and quickly embarking with him as he described in vivid detail numerous adventures, sometimes scary incidents, and often hilarious encounters that left indelible imprints on my consciousness.

Whether he was navigating jungles as a soldier in Vietnam, braving whitewater rapids without a raft in Colorado — “the thrill of my life,” he told me — or finding himself amid a wild cast of characters in hippie-era San Francisco, my Uncle Joe’s generous narratives grabbed me by the collar and wouldn’t let go.

Photo by Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images

When I was in tears as a grade-schooler after losing a valued drawing I’d labored over for some time, Joe helped me gain perspective, telling me about an artist who worked on his beloved project for 20 years — after which it was stolen. But instead of spending time feeling sorry for himself, he said the artist started over on his project and finished it after another 20 years — and made it better than ever. That tale of tenacity has stayed with me — and reminded me to never give up.

During college, my love of music quickly deepened, and I got heavy into great singers and songwriters and bands — and I even took up the guitar myself. When my Uncle Joe caught wind of this metamorphosis, boy did he ever have more stories for me.

Oh, to have been a music fan like him from the mid-1960s through the mid-1970s, arguably — scratch that,
definitely — the greatest-ever popular music era. Unfortunately I couldn’t change my birth date — but Joe’s stories about concerts, musicians, and the vibe of the culture at that point in history helped me feel like I was there.

I mean, he saw shows at the Fillmore West. He witnessed Led Zeppelin’s debut performance in Philadelphia — at a brand-new venue called the Spectrum — as part of the 1969 Summer Pop Festival alongside Johnny Winter, Jethro Tull, and Buddy Guy.

Joe loved to listen to albums, too, and enthusiastically pointed out sonic details and anecdotes about the artists. He saw most of the important acts of the day — and knew about all of them. Elton John, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Janis Joplin, the Beatles. And it all rubbed off on me.

So, during my sophomore year, my uncle and his family paid a visit to the East Coast, and during a big Christmas get-together, Joe surprised me with a gift I’ll never forget: Four classic rock albums from his vinyl collection — the Rolling Stones’ “Aftermath,” Rod Stewart’s “Gasoline Alley,” T.Rex’s “Electric Warrior,” and the debut from the Velvet Underground and Nico. I hadn’t heard any of these albums but vaguely knew of them. How cool that Joe seemingly had a sixth sense that I’d benefit from a deeper musical dive as opposed to simply wading in the shallow end surrounded only by the hits.

But the best part is that he wrote me descriptions of each album: What the artists were known for, the best songs, and aural characteristics I ought to keep in mind as I listened — not unlike what a music reviewer would do. And how interesting that I would end up doing just that in the years to come.

While I offloaded many of my LPs over the succeeding years, I made sure to hang on to the albums Joe gave me that Christmas. (The image you see above this story’s headline is of those actual LPs, still alive and kicking.) And now that vinyl is back with a vengeance, I can proudly pull out Joe’s albums again and play them on my new turntable — the first one I’ve owned in forever.

So, Joe — thank you for taking the time to share your unforgettable stories with me, for making me laugh, and for piquing my interest in living a life of adventure.

And, of course, thank you always for the music.

Cancel culture family father Intelwars Katy Perry Leftists Patriotism Pro-america Social media attacks

Leftists blast Katy Perry for shouting out pro-USA, anti-political T-shirts from her dad — a Christian evangelist who voted for Trump

Leftists are nothing if not unfailingly consistent when it comes to doling out their cancel culture magic when even the biggest celebrities ruffle their self-righteous feathers — even when said celebs are on their side.

Singer Katy Perry found that out recently when she dared to urge her fans to contact their family members who don’t share their political views —
and express love to them.

With that
Perry’s hardcore leftist followers on Twitter excoriated her for such a suggestion, saying things like “super good to know white supremacy isn’t a dealbreaker for you.”

Now what?

Apparently Perry didn’t learn her lesson — because she posted what’s become a problematic shout-out on social media about a T-shirt line from her father and brother:

Perry’s post notes that she hasn’t always seen eye to eye with her dad and brother but is “proud” of them for their T-shirts that promote country over political parties. In the video accompanying the post, Perry’s dad says, “No matter what you believe, at the end of the day we are all Americans.”

Such a sentiment probably would’ve been quite enough to send leftists into derangement mode, but the other rub could very well be that her dad is a
Christian evangelist who voted for — wait for it — President Donald Trump.

How did leftists respond?

Did it matter to leftists that Perry is squarely on their side of the political aisle? Not even close. In fact, her social media shout-out proved yet another unforgivable sin, according to the left-wing scriptures:

  • “Damn you really woke up and said, ‘F*** the few gay fans I have left,’ huh?” one commenter wrote.
  • “When people don’t think you should exist because you’re LGBTQ+, Black, Muslim… it isn’t a difference of opinion, Katy,” another user noted. “When they vote for the white supremacists, they be white supremacists. It’s really not that hard, Katy.”
  • Another commenter told Perry “you need to realize it is YOUR PRIVILEGE being able to speak to your family even if they are republicans or conservatives. Most of us feel threatened by those people, so that’s why you need to stop [spreading] the ‘love your conservative parents’ propaganda.”
  • “Republicans kidnapped children, abandoned our allies, helped kill 10s of thousands by politicizing a pandemic & attending Trump rallies, are currently lying about the results of an election and spent 4 yrs wallowing in racism, misogyny & corruption,” another user declared. “Put that on a T-shirt please.”
  • “Did l miss something or didn’t Republicans just try to steal legally cast votes from [people of color]?” another commenter asked. “I could keep going but that’s the latest BS that Republicans were OK with. Sorry but folks need to stop pretending that they aren’t voting for racism and other terrible things.”

And jewelry designer Markus Molinary told Perry on Instagram — where she also shouted-out her dad and brother’s T-shirts — that she was out of line.

“I’m sorry, I LOVE YOU but this is a HUGE NO for me! It’s not a political issue. It’s ‘straight’ up a human rights issue,” Molinary wrote, according to Glamour. “The Trump Administration’s decision to reverse the Obama-era rule that encompasses gender identity in the sex definition of the Affordable Care Act is an act of discrimination and purposeful inequality. This is about human respect, and right now we need to take a good look at ourselves and ask who we are becoming if we are justifying or advocating against the barest rights imaginable…It’s NOT right to just cover it up with a T-Shirt.”

America Celebrate community dystopian reality face masks family Hate Headline News Intelwars Intolerance liars in suits medical martial law nationwide lockdowns plandemic Police State political Politicians sad scamdemic thankful Thanksgiving theatre turn off the TV tyranny

How to Celebrate Thanksgiving in the Midst of Toxic Politics and COVID-19 Lockdowns

This article was originally published by John W. Whitehead at the Rutherford Institute.

“War is over. If you want it.”—John Lennon

If ever there were a year filled with an abundance of bad news and a shortage of good news, 2020 would take the prize. Between the toxic political theater, pandemic scares, nationwide lockdowns that smack of martial law, a rollercoaster economy, and the ever-present menace of the police state, it’s been a hard, heart-wrenching, stomach-churning kind of year overrun with too much hate and too little tolerance.

It’s been a year in which tyranny took a few more steps forward, freedom got knocked down a few more notches, and politics and profit margins took precedence over decency, compassion, and human kindness.

Now we find ourselves at this present moment, overwhelmed by all that is wrong in the world and missing the fellowship of family and friends kept apart by COVID-19 restrictions and concerns.

No wonder this Thanksgiving finds so many struggling to reflect and give thanks for what is good. After all, how do you give thanks for freedoms that are constantly being eroded? How do you express gratitude for one’s safety when the perils posed by the American police state grow more treacherous by the day? How do you come together as a nation in thanksgiving when the powers-that-be continue to polarize and divide us into warring factions?

Here’s what I’ve learned from living in a small community (population 1500) for the past year: you don’t have to agree on politics, or subscribe to the same religious beliefs, or have the same demographic makeup in order to live peaceably with one another.

These small-town people don’t have a preponderance of fancy cars or advanced degrees or six-figure salaries or committees aimed at discussing problems to death, and yet they have mastered the art of getting along. They make no secret about their views on politics and religion and anything else on their minds, and yet they remain friendly—neighborly—respectful of those with opposing views, even when they wholeheartedly disagree.

Yes, America, there is life beyond politics and it can be wonderful if you just give it a chance.

Here’s what I suggest: this Thanksgiving, do yourselves a favor and turn off the talking heads, tune out the politicians, and take a deep breath. Then try this exercise in gratitude: find something to be thankful for about the things and people in your community for which you might have the least tolerance or appreciation. Instead of just rattling off a list of things you’re thankful for that sound good, dig a little deeper and acknowledge the good in those you may have underappreciated or feared.

When it comes time to giving thanks for your good fortune, put your gratitude into action: pay your blessings forward with deeds that spread a little kindness, lighten someone’s burden, and brighten some dark corner.

Engage in acts of kindness. Smile more. Fight less. Build bridges. Refuse to let toxic politics define your relationships. Focus on the things that unite instead of that which divides.

Do your part to push back against the meanness of our culture with conscious compassion and humanity. Moods are contagious, the good and the bad. They can be passed from person to person. So can the actions associated with those moods, the good and the bad.

Even with COVID-19 restrictions in place throughout the country, there is still so much good that can be done to help those in need.

Be a hero, whether or not anyone ever notices.

Acts of benevolence, no matter how inconsequential they might seem, can spark a movement.

Each of us has an inner hero we can draw upon in an emergency,” concludes psychologist Philip Zimbardo. “If you think there is even a possibility that someone needs help, act on it. You may save a life. You are the modern version of the Good Samaritan that makes the world a better place for all of us.”

All it takes is one person breaking away from the fold to change the dynamics of a situation. “Once anyone helps, then in seconds others will join in because a new social norm emerges,” notes Zimbardo.

This is what Zimbardo refers to as “the power of one.”

“If you find yourself in an ambiguous situation, resist the urge to look to others and go with your gut instinct,” advises Melissa Burkley in Psychology Today. “If you think there is even a possibility that someone is in need, act on it. At worst, you will embarrass yourself for a few minutes, but at best, you will save a life.”

In other words, don’t turn away from suffering. Even smiling at a stranger in these fearful times can be a revolutionary act.

All it takes is one person to start a chain reaction.

For instance, a few years ago in Florida, a family of six—four adults and two young boys—were swept out to sea by a powerful rip current in Panama City Beach. There was no lifeguard on duty. The police were standing by, waiting for a rescue boat. And the few people who had tried to help ended up stranded, as well.

Those on shore grouped together and formed a human chain. What started with five volunteers grew to 15, then 80 people, some of whom couldn’t swim.

One by one, they linked hands and stretched as far as their chain would go. The strongest of the volunteers swam out beyond the chain and began passing the stranded victims of the rip current down the chain.

One by one, they rescued those in trouble and pulled each other in.

There’s a moral here for what needs to happen in this country if we only can band together and prevail against the riptides that threaten to overwhelm us.

As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, there may not be much we can do to avoid the dismal reality of the police state in the long term—not so long as the powers-that-be continue to call the shots and allow profit margins to take precedence over the needs of people—but in the short term, there are things we can all do right now to make this world (or at least our small corners of it) a little bit kinder, a lot less hostile and more just.

It’s never too late to start making things right in the world.

Some college students plan to ‘educate’ conservative family members about their political, social views over Thanksgiving

Sure, leftist governors are making you wear a mask inside your house if you’re gathering with guests over Thanksgiving, limiting your head count to 10, and even asking you to snitch on neighbors who ignore their COVID-19 restrictions — but at least you’ll be able to sit down during the long-awaited meal and have some peace, right?

Well …

The answer to that question may depend on whether or not college students are among your family members attending Thanksgiving dinner this year, where they stand on sociopolitical issues, and if they have the energy to share their woke gospel with unbelievers.

Campus Reform took a trip to George Mason University in northern Virginia recently to ask students if they’re excited to go home for Thanksgiving. Oh, and they definitely are! They love their families and have great relationships with them, by and large.

But if the sampling of students interviewed on video at George Mason is any indication of a national trend, you may just wanna watch out if you have a college student coming home this week — because you may be in store for some conversations about politics and social issues.

“It’s not something we should just push away because it’s uncomfortable,” one student told the outlet.

What are the details?

Indeed Campus Reform said every student interviewed indicated that for this particular Thanksgiving holiday — especially given America’s present political climate — such chats are necessary.

In regard to topics students said should be on the table — pun absolutely intended — they told the outlet LBGTQ rights, immigration, racism, the election, climate change, women’s rights, and the Black Lives Matter movement.

One student who highlighted LGBTQ issues told the outlet it would be a hard conversation to have with family members who are “voting for somebody who’s actively against my rights as a person.

A pair of students who come from immigrant families noted to Campus Reform that “immigrant issues” and well as “racial discrimination” are important conversation topics, as well as “black history.”

“My parents didn’t have such a high education, neither did the majority of my family,” one of the students said. “So I want to make sure they understand history and are educated about that side of things.”

Another student said President Donald Trump’s recent claims that the 2020 election was “rigged” is an important Thanksgiving topic.

Coronavirus dinner family Governor Intelwars Masks New Jersey Phil murphy watch

‘Murphy, you are such a d**k!’: Women curse out NJ governor — who just extended COVID-19 executive order — while he dines at restaurant

A pair of women cursed out New Jersey Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy — who just extended his executive order for COVID-19 restrictions — while he was dining with his family outside a restaurant.

What are the details?

In the clip the women appear to recognize Murphy as he sits at a table in the middle of a meal. It isn’t clear when or where the video was recorded, but it was posted to Twitter Sunday night.

“Oh my God, Murphy, you are such a d**k!” one woman says as the governor turns his head back to his forkful of food.

“You’re having fun with your family, in the meantime you’re having all kind of other bulls**t going on!” the second woman says.

What has Murphy been up to?

Earlier this month — with COVID-19 cases rising — Murphy restricted bars and restaurants from indoor service after 10 p.m. And on Sunday he extended his emergency public health executive order for another 30 days; it was the ninth time Murphy extended it since March. Indoor gatherings in the state also are limited to 10 people.

“Despite the hope that is on the horizon, the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over,” Murphy said in a statement, according to NJ.com.

He also appeared Monday on “Good Morning America” and said he’s “pleading with people, keep Thanksgiving really small, immediate family, don’t travel, and don’t let your guard down just ’cause you’re at home.”

Back to the action at the table

After the women in the video confront Murphy, a male who apparently is the governor’s son asks the women if they’re drunk — which is denied — and if they’d put on their masks.

“You can go f*** yourself, how’s that?” one woman shoots back. “I don’t need a f***ing mask. You know why I don’t need a mask? Because there ain’t nothing f***ing wrong with me.”

The male then notices one of the women has a phone case supporting President Donald Trump, and he adds that Trump “likes my dad.”

“No, he doesn’t like your father!” one woman replies before adding “get the f*** out of here!”

Soon Murphy puts on his mask, and the women begin to leave — but not before one of them tells the governor, “You know what? You suck!”

Anything else?

On Sunday dozens marched in northern New Jersey to protest Murphy’s COVID-19 restrictions on businesses, News 12 New Jersey reported. Elected leaders and business owners were among the participants, the station said, and protesters urged the governor to trust businesses to make their own decisions since another lockdown would be financially disastrous.

In addition, Howell Township’s police chief told “Fox & Friends Weekend” that his officers won’t enforce Murphy’s “draconian” coronavirus guidelines for the holidays.

“Our community is hurting,” Chief Andrew Kudrick Jr. told the cable network. “I live here. I grew up here. I shop here. I go out to dinner here. And I talk one-on-one with our business owners… and I see how much they’re hurting.”

In August, the owner of Lakeside Diner in Lacey Township told the Asbury Park Press there’s no way authorities will stop him from providing indoor service at his establishment despite Murphy’s executive orders.

“There’s only two ways they’re going to get me out of here … in handcuffs or a body bag,” Brian Brindisi said.

Also in August, a Bellmawr gym that repeatedly reopened despite Murphy’s coronavirus-related lockdown restrictions had its business license officially revoked.

MSM Wants You To CANCEL Your Thanksgiving

The mainstream media is telling people to cancel their Thanksgiving.  They say it’s to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Social media users content living in tyranny are already shaming those who are choosing to continue living their lives.

“At the risk of sounding like the Thanksgiving Grinch, let me be clear: A big feast with all of your loved ones is unnecessary, perhaps even immoral, during a global pandemic,” writes Suzette Hackney for USA Today.  “There really should be no debate. COVID-19 has canceled traditional Thanksgiving,” Hackney adds.

These puppets for the draconian elitists in government and the banking system desperately want your life to be upended and to destroy what it means to be a human. Why do you think they are pushing masks which have been shown to be ineffective at preventing the coronavirus? Because it’s a ritualistic dehumanizing shame ritual.

CDC Study: Most COVID-19 Cases Were Admitted Mask Wearers

Last week, Chicago’s mayor issued a stay-at-home advisory effective for 30 days. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer shut down in-person classes at high schools and colleges, along with indoor dining, casinos, and movie theaters for three weeks. Washington Gov. Jay Inslee restricted indoor gatherings, eat-in restaurants, and shuttered gyms for at least four weeks. On Monday, officials in Philadelphiaannounced that all public or private indoor gatherings of any size are banned at least through Jan. 1. California Gov. Gavin Newsom also announced that indoor dining, gyms, and movie theaters must either remain closed or shut down in 41 of the state’s 58 counties. –USA Today

Ohio & Illinois Order More Lockdowns and Restrictions As COVID-19 Cases Surge

This tyranny will not end until we as the public on a whole decide that we’ve had enough.  It’s up to us. The mainstream media is also propagating the public with an attempt to convince them to let go of all of their freedom, including privacy within their own homes.

The problem is what people are doing behind closed doors. It’s what we don’t see that is contributing to surging numbers of cases. –Suzette Hackney for USA Today

The “hope” the mainstream media is sticking to is that a vaccine is on the horizon.  Just roll up your sleeve and take this rushed concoction of God only knows what and everything will be fine. Except, they have already said a vaccine won’t make things go back to normal.

Ohio & Illinois Order More Lockdowns and Restrictions As COVID-19 Cases Surge

Ohio and Illinois have amped up the tyranny as cases allegedly “surge” in the states. Illinois will be going on the highest tier of “mitigation” as the power-hungry psychopaths try to keep the public from enjoying their lives.

Amid the scamdemic, people’s human rights are being erased in exchange for a false sense of security.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, a Republican, has announced a curfew on Tuesday that will run from 10 pm to 5 am for at least three weeks. People who have to go to work during those hours will be exempted, and restaurants will be allowed to provide delivery and carry-out service after 10 pm.

So these useless orders do nothing to slow the spread of the virus because generally speaking, the people who are out between 10 pm and 5 am are working. DeWine is not operating on facts or statistics, though.  He even says this all based on a belief. We believe this is the best choice to slow things down,” DeWine said. “We’re going to try this for 21 days. Violating the curfew is a second-degree misdemeanor, but the governor said he doesn’t expect heavy-handed enforcement by police, according to a report by RT.

DeWine’s order drew criticism from both sides, with some saying he’s not taking enough freedom from people, and others saying the order lacked common sense.

“Does Governor DeWine think he is combating vampires or werewolves?” Aryeh Alex, executive director of Ohio House Democrats, tweeted.

Meanwhile, not be outdone, Illinois tyrant, JB Pritzker said on Tuesday that the entire state will operate under Tier 3 mitigation for Covid-19, meaning such businesses as casinos, museums, and movie theaters will be closed, and restaurants and bars won’t be allowed to offer indoor table service. During winter, this could be a death blow to the industry. Fitness centers and most retailers will be limited to operating at 25 percent of their normal capacity, and office businesses will be encouraged to have their employees work from home whenever possible.

The tyrant is also asking people to spend Thanksgiving on Zoom calls with each other, instead of sitting around a table and being the free sovereign human beings that they were born as.

Our COVID Police State Wants To Take Thanksgiving And Christmas Away From You Too

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The Economic Collapse Blog.

Haven’t they taken enough away from us already?  The deeply oppressive lockdowns that were instituted earlier this year plunged us into the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression of the 1930s, caused the cancellation of thousands upon thousands of important events, and sent the suicide rate absolutely skyrocketing.

Once those lockdowns were lifted the American people were greatly relieved, but now our COVID police state is back for more.  As I have been documenting over the last several days, new lockdowns are being instituted all over the country right now, and even our most cherished holidays are being targeted.

Let me start by discussing an interview that CNN’s Jake Tapper just conducted with Anthony Fauci.  Most Americans had assumed that once a vaccine was widely distributed that we wouldn’t need masks or social distancing anymore.

Well, according to Fauci that is not the case at all

Jake Tapper said, “Once somebody has been immunized … Once the process is complete, does that mean they can take off their mask, don’t have to social distance, and go about their lives as before?”

Fauci said, “I would recommend that is not the case. I would recommend you have an added area of protection. Obviously, with 90 plus percent effective vaccine, you could feel much more confident, but I would recommend to people to not abandon all public health measures just because you’ve been vaccinated.”

As I have repeatedly warned my readers, they intend to change the way that we live permanently.

During that same interview, they were discussing a timeline for vaccine distribution, and Tapper blurted this out: “Christmas is probably not gonna be possible.”

In other words, Americans should not plan to have a normal Christmas this year because we are going to be expected to stay home, wear masks, and keep members of our extended family away.

Of course, Thanksgiving is a lot closer than Christmas, and our COVID overlords are telling us that we can’t have a normal Thanksgiving either.  For example, this is what the head of the CDC is saying

U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield held a call with the nation’s governors on Tuesday. CNN obtained audio of the chat, in which Redfield said: “What we’re seeing as the increasing threat right now is actually acquisition of infection through small household gatherings… Particularly with Thanksgiving coming up, we think it’s really important to stress the vigilance of these continued mitigation steps in the household setting.”

Needless to say, many of our top politicians are going to fall right in line with the directives that our “health authorities” have issued.  For example, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has issued new restrictions for the city of Chicago which begin on Monday

The order, which begins Monday, extends through Thanksgiving festivities. Residents are “strongly advised” to not have guests in their homes outside of essential workers — even family and close friends.

“Chicago has reached a critical point in the second surge of COVID-19, demanding that we undertake this multi-faceted and comprehensive effort to stop the virus in its tracks,” said Mayor Lori Lightfoot in the release.

At least Lightfoot’s order is not as draconian as the mandate that California Governor Gavin Newsom has ordered all Californians to follow this Thanksgiving.

If you can believe it, Newsom has decided to limit Thanksgiving to a two hour “outdoor event”

Celebrities have taken to social media to slam California Governor Gavin Newsom’s ‘ridiculously unenforceable’ Thanksgiving crackdown that bans singing and shouting and limits the holiday to a two-hour outdoor event.

‘If my Aunt comes over, can I throw her a slice of turkey from the window?’ mocked actor Rob Schneider as he blasted the ‘Emperor Newsom’.

The good news is that the American people are sick and tired of having their rights taken away and are starting to push back against absurd restrictions such as these.

The bad news is that the new lockdowns that are being instituted all over the U.S. will inevitably crash our economy again.

If they last long enough, some industries may be almost entirely destroyed.  For example, even before these new lockdowns we were being told that it would be a miracle if half of the hotels in New York City survive this pandemic

According to Vijay Dandapani, chief executive of the Hotel Association of New York City, if half the city’s 640 hotels survive it will be a “great” outcome. While occupancy rates have recovered from their worst point in April where occupancy was down more than 60% year on year, they remain 20% lower than for the same month in 2019, a level which means much of the debt backing the properties will be impaired (i.e., default). Should New York impose a new round of draconian lockdowns, it will only get worse.

But of course there are some businesses that are booming during this time.

For instance, psychologists and therapists are extremely busy treating those that are “feeling lonely and depressed”

Business is booming for Maria Mir. Under normal circumstances, she takes little time off in November and December; the holidays are her busy season. But this is 2020. Nothing is normal. And everyone seems to need her at once.

Mir is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She’s used to patients feeling lonely and depressed as Thanksgiving and Christmas near. But “this particular time is different,” she says. “Even people who haven’t felt lonely in the past are now feeling that isolation.”

This is yet another example that shows that elections really matter.

For years, the American people have been voting for psychotic control freaks all over the nation, and so now we shouldn’t be surprised that they are actually acting like psychotic control freaks during a major crisis.

We are being told that this is going to be a very “dark winter”, and just like we witnessed earlier this year many Americans are feverishly stocking up on food and other basic goods…

Concerns that rising cases will encourage people to buy in bulk and stock up on basic goods has prompted major grocery chains to take pre-emptive action and limit purchases.

Kroger, the largest grocery chain in the U.S., has imposed purchase limits on essential goods like bath tissue, paper towels, disinfecting wipes and hand soap, according to Fox Business.

If you have not done so already, I would very much encourage you to get stocked up as well.

These are such uncertain times, and I have a feeling that things are going to get even crazier in the weeks ahead.

If the case numbers keep rising, the restrictions placed upon us are just going to become even more cumbersome, and it definitely appears that we are in for a very rough start in 2021.

‘You are no longer my mother’: Families say relatives are dead to them if they vote wrong

The 2020 presidential election is tearing American families apart, according to a Reuters report.

What are the details?

Reuters spoke with a variety of U.S. voters across the country who all admitted to being a part of the same movement: shunning — or being shunned by — family members for differing political viewpoints.

One woman the news organization spoke to is 41-year-old Milwaukee resident Mayra Gomez. She said she told her 21-year-old son that she planned on voting for President Donald Trump in the forthcoming presidential election. Her choice was apparently the wrong one — at least according to the unnamed Millennial.

“He specifically told me ‘You are no longer my mother, because you are voting for Trump,'” she recalled him telling her. “The damage is done. In people’s minds, Trump is a monster. It’s sad. There are people not talking to me anymore, and I’m not sure that will change.”

Gomez’s story is a familiar one.

Gayle McCormick, a 77-year-old Democratic voter, said that she separated from her 81-year-old husband after he voted for Trump in 2016.

“I think the legacy of Trump is going to take a long time to recover from,” McCormick said. She also revealed that two of her grandchildren no longer speak with her because she supported former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election cycle.

Rosanna Guadagno, a 49-year-old Democrat, said that her brother shunned her after she reportedly refused to support the president’s 2016 presidential bid and even allegedly went so far as to intentionally exclude her from their mother’s funeral.

Dave Wallace, a 65-year-old Pennsylvania Republican and staunch Trump supporter, said that his support for the president has put strain on his family.

“The hatred for Trump among Democrats, it’s just amazing to me,” Wallace told the news organization. “I think it’s just Trump, the way he makes people feel. I do think the angst will decrease when we’re back to a normal politician who doesn’t piss people off.”

Voter Bonnie Coughlin, 65 — who voted for a third-party candidate in 2016 — said that she is voting for former Vice President Joe Biden this year and that she looks at Trump-supporting family and friends “differently” because “they have willingly embraced someone who is so heartless and just shows no empathy to anyone in any circumstances.”

She added, “And if Biden wins, I don’t think they will go quietly into the night and accept it.”

Jacqueline Hammond, a 47-year-old North Carolina resident, said that she no longer speaks to her Trump-supporting mother and has even reportedly gone as far as to tell her son to stay away from Grandma, too.

“Trump is like the catalyst of an earthquake that just divided two continents of thought,” she insisted. “Once the Earth divides like that, there’s no going back. This is a marked time in our history where people had to jump from one side to the other. And depending on what side you choose, that is going to be the trajectory for the rest of your life.”

What else?

Jamie Saal, psychotherapist at the Rochester Center for Behavior Medicine in Rochester Hills, Michigan, told the outlet, “Unfortunately, I don’t think national healing is as easy as changing the president. It takes time and it takes effort, and it takes both parties — no pun intended — being willing to let go and move forward.”

Reuters also reported that at least one non-partisan poll found that a vast majority of voters had few or no friends who had opposite political affiliations.

A September report from the Pew Research center found that nearly 80% of Trump and Biden supporters insisted they “had few or no friends who supported the other candidate.”

In January, Gallup reported that President Donald Trump’s third year in office “set a new record for party polarization.”

“While 89% of Republicans approved of Trump’s performance in office in 2019, only 7% of Democrats thought he was doing a good job,” the outlet noted.

United States and more than 30 other nations sign declaration that ‘there is no international right to abortion’ and that the family is ‘fundamental’ to society

The U.S. and 32 other nations signed a declaration last week that made clear that “there is no international right to abortion” and highlighted the foundational importance of the family unit to society.

The document, called the “Geneva Consensus Declaration On Promoting Women’s Health and Strengthening the Family” and co-sponsored by the U.S., Brazil, Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia, and Uganda, was signed at a virtual event.

What does the declaration say?

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services issued a statement touting the document as an effort to achieve four main pillars:

  1. better health for women;
  2. the preservation of human life;
  3. strengthening of family as the foundational unit of society; and
  4. protecting every nation’s national sovereignty in global politics.

Cultural conservatives in the U.S. took particular note that the document took a stance that appears contrary to the increasingly liberal international community’s stance on the right to life and the importance of the family unit.

The declaration stated a reaffirmation of “the inherent ‘dignity and worth of the human person,’ that ‘every human being has the inherent right to life,’ and the commitment ‘to enable women to go safely through pregnancy and childbirth and provide couples with the best chance of having a healthy infant.”

It went on to say that “in no case should abortion be promoted as a method of family planning” and declared that “any measures or changes related to abortion within the health system can only be determined at the national or local level according to the national legislative process.”

It further reaffirmed that “‘the child … needs special safeguards and care … before as well as after birth’ and ‘special measures of protection and assistance should be taken on behalf of all children,’ based on the principle of the best interest of the child.”

In order to make it clear they meant business on the pro-life front, the co-singers all committed to “[r]eaffirm that there is no international right to abortion, nor any international obligation on the part of States to finance or facilitate abortion.”

Regarding families, the agreement said “the family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State” and called the family “foundational to society” and noted that it is a “source of health, support, and care.”

Secretary of State Michael Pompeo touted the agreement and President Donald Trump’s guidance on protecting the unborn and the family. He noted in his remarks:

Under President Trump’s leadership, the United States has defended the dignity of human life everywhere and always. He’s done it like no other president in history. We’ve also mounted an unprecedented defense of the unborn abroad.

In front of world leaders at the 2019 United Nations General Assembly, President Trump said, “We in America believe that every child — born and unborn — is a sacred gift from God.” […]

Today, we’re taking the next step, as we sign the Geneva Consensus Declaration. At its very core, the declaration protects women’s health, defends the unborn, and reiterates the vital importance of the family as the foundation of society.

christian Commentary Economic Crisis family Intelwars marriage Married Moral Crisis Parenting parents Politics

A new congressional report proves that the institutions of marriage and family are being systematically destroyed in America

The numbers that I am about to share with you are extremely sobering, and they should be a massive wake up call for all of us.  Yesterday, I wrote an article about how our society is breaking down everywhere we look, and nowhere is this more evident than in our marriages and in our families.  But without strong marriages and strong families, no society can thrive for long.  Recently, the Social Capital Project of the Joint Economic Committee Republicans released a report entitled “The Demise of the Happy Two-Parent Home”, but you probably never heard about it until now because it was almost entirely ignored by the mainstream media.  I have never seen a congressional report document the collapse of marriage and family in American society to such an extent, and to be honest it is quite surprising to see such a quality piece of work come out of Washington.

I have selected nine of the most alarming quotes from the report and put them in bold below.  Following each quote from the report, I am going to share some of my own commentary…

#1 Overall, between 1962 and 2019, the percentage of women ages 15-44 who were married dropped from 71 percent to 42 percent (Figure 1).16 Furthermore, Figure 2 shows the percentage of women ages 30-34 who had never married increased from 7 percent in 1962 to 35 percent in 2019.17

Numbers for men are similar, but they were not included in the report.  We have never seen marriage rates collapse like this ever before, and most of the decline can be attributed to the fact that many young Americans simply do not see any reason to get married anymore.

These days, many would prefer to be free to run around having sex with whoever they want.  When they become dissatisfied with their current sexual partner, they just move on and find someone else.

#2 Today, around 45 percent of American children spend some time without a biological parent by late adolescence.3 That is up from around one-third of children born in the 1960s and one-fifth to one-quarter born in the 1950s.4

Study after study has shown that children do better with two parents, and so the fact that nearly half of our children have been raised by just one parent for at least a portion of their lives is extremely alarming.

I have tremendous respect for single parents, but if our society is going to thrive we need a whole lot more two parent households.

#3 Single parenthood is experienced by two-thirds of the children of mothers with less than a high school education and by eighty percent of black children.

Over the past several decades, impoverished Americans have increasingly been drawn to the ideology of the Democratic Party.

But the ideology of the Democratic Party does not value marriage and family, and in impoverished communities all across America the results have been absolutely disastrous.

Unfortunately, the Republican Party is increasingly moving away from traditional values as well, and that is an extremely alarming trend.

#4 Among women ages 19 to 44 who married between 1965 and 1974, just 11 percent had cohabited with their husbands prior to marriage, but that number jumped to 32 percent among those who married between 1975 and 1979 and continued to soar thereafter. For the past two decades, two-thirds of new marriages have been preceded by cohabitation.28

These days, the vast majority of young couples want to “live together” before they get married.

But study after study has shown that couples that “live together” before marriage have much less long-term success than couples that don’t.

In the old days, it was clearly understood that cohabitation prior to marriage was wrong, but these days hardly anyone wants to speak out against it.

#5 The decline in marriage and the increase in cohabitation has led to substantial growth in unwed childbearing. The percent of births to unmarried mothers has jumped from five percent in 1960 to 40 percent today (Figure 6).29

It is hard to believe that things have gotten this bad.

How in the world is our society going to be successful when 40 percent of our children are being born into unstable family situations?

These days, many young men don’t feel any responsibility for the children that they father, and that is something that must change if we ever want to have any hope of turning our country in the right direction.

#6 In a 2007 study researchers found that 50 percent of children born to cohabiting parents experienced a maternal partnership transition by their third birthday, compared to just 13 percent of children in married-parent families.32 Thus, children born into households where the parents are not married are much more likely to see their parents break up.

This is yet more evidence that cohabitation is a bad idea.

The order is supposed to go like this – get married, live together and then have children.

But these days so many young couples are doing things in the exact opposite order, and the vast majority of the time that does not work out at all.

#7 As of 2019, 57 percent of highly-educated women ages 15-44 were married, compared to only 36 percent of moderately-educated women and 18 percent of women with low education (Figure 8).39 These differences were much smaller in the mid-1960s, with less than ten percentage points separating the three groups in 1964.

Numbers for men are similar, but once again the numbers for men were not included in this report.

To be honest, I was a bit surprised by the huge differences among the various groups.

Does not having money make both men and women less desirable to potential marriage partners?

#8 Two-thirds of births (65 percent) among women with low education occur outside of marriage as of 2018 along with half (52 percent) of births to moderately-educated women (Figure 9). Among highly-educated women, however, just 11 percent occur outside marriage.40

If you are a woman and you have a child outside of marriage while you are very young, it is very likely that you will have to work to support that child.

So any dreams of a higher education are often delayed, and in many cases those delays end up being permanent.

#9 Women with a bachelor’s degree and married for the first time are very likely to be married for a long time; 78 percent will still be married 20 years later. However, among women entering their first marriage who have some college but no bachelor’s degree, it is as likely as not that their marriage will end within 20 years. Among women with no more than a high school diploma, just 40 percent will still be in their first marriage after 20 years.

The U.S. has one of the highest divorce rates in the entire world, and things are especially bad in our impoverished communities.

As a result, vast numbers of children in our impoverished communities live in broken homes, and those that come from broken homes tend to be much more likely to gravitate toward crime, drugs and violence.

The bottom line is that if we want to fix America, we have got to fix our families.  In the report, the authors included a remarkable quote from Princeton University sociologist Sara McLanahan…

If we were asked to design a system for making sure that children’s basic needs were met, we would probably come up with something quite similar to the two-parent ideal. Such a design, in theory, would not only ensure that children had access to the time and money of two adults, it also would provide a system of checks and balances that promoted quality parenting. The fact that both parents have a biological connection to the child would increase the likelihood that the parents would identify with the child and be willing to sacrifice for that child, and it would reduce the likelihood that either parent would abuse the child.

For thousands of years, two parent families have worked, and the reason they have worked is because that is how things were originally designed.

Sadly, these days most Americans find traditional values repugnant, and they think that they have figured out a better way of doing things.

Of course the truth is that they have greatly deceived themselves, and if we stay on this current path there is absolutely no future for us as a nation.

NYC Mayor Comrade De Blasio Shuts Down Thanksgiving Day Parade

New York City mayor and known communist, Bill de Blasio has already shut down the city’s infamous Thanksgiving Day Parade all because of the scamdemic. With more than two months until Thanksgiving day, de Blasio somehow already knows the COVID-19 hoax will somehow play a role.

Luckily, de Blasio is being mercilessly mocked on social media for his heavy-handed tyrannical decision. De Blasio’s attempt to “reinvent” the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, an American tradition, was met will all kinds of disdain. The parade will be “reinvented” and held virtually this year due to safety concerns around the ongoing coronavirus pandemic hoax. “It will not be the same parade we are used to,” De Blasio said at a press conference on Monday, according to a report by RT. “It will be a different kind of event. [Macy’s is] reinventing the event for this moment in history.”

The mayor attempted to downplay the scale of these changes by reminding citizens that the fourth of July fireworks show was also greatly scaled back. Don’t be surprised is these tyrants pull off another lockdown banning people from being with family during the holidays.  Because of his willingness to exert control over everything and every person, the public is hitting back.

Commie De Blasio’s Snitch Hotline FLOODED With Obscenities

Many view de Blasio’s decision as an “ongoing culture war” between the left and the right, and accused him of wanting to cancel Christmas, and I’d be lying if I said that that is beneath even this comrade.

This is just one more example of the total control these people want over everyone’s life. They are cancelling whatever they can and most Americans are still not speaking out against this. If we continue to let this drag on, we will all be slaves injected and subservient to the New World Order and the ruling classes of the planet.

“New Normal” In Salt Lake City: Wear A Mask In Your Home

Salt Lake City Utah may have a “new normal” they want everyone to get used to this year as school starts. The government wants people to wear their muzzles masks insides their own homes.

Basically, the general idea is that we, as human beings are not frightened of our fellow humans enough, so we should be scared even of those living our household. Dr. Adam Hersh, a professor of pediatric infectious diseases specializing in epidemiology at the University of Utah Health, says data already shows more people are wearing masks at home than before. And yet the fabricated numbers keep going higher…

Dr. Hersh said, according to KUTV2 a CBS affiliate, that it’s becoming especially common in households where a family member faces a higher risk of complications from coronavirus, as well as for large gatherings.

In the interview published on the U of U Health’s website, Hersh is quoted saying just because people are related doesn’t mean the virus is less likely to spread. He added that data does show when kids get infected with the virus they are a lot less likely than adults to get sick.

He has been consulting with school districts across the state about their reopening plans.

“If they were to acquire the infection and bring it home to the rest of the family, it could impact those who are at higher risk for infection and could potentially experience a complicated case,” Hersh said. –KUTV2

The goal here is to obviously continue to panic the public into wearing the symbol of silence, submission, and consent. Those who will make you wear the mask today will force you to take the vaccine tomorrow.  Remember that when the military is released in a “powerful way” to vaccinate everyone for something that’s been shown to be milder than the flu in the vast majority of people.

Are Face Masks & COVID Rituals Occultist Symbols For Submission?

Some say this will all be over after the election. If you truly believe that, you don’t fully understand what’s going one here. Never before has preparedness been more important. Continue doing audits of your gear and checking your food and water supplies.  Forced vaccines are coming along with food shortages and a digital dollar on a fully centralized system that can be shut off whenever the elitists decide to.

Sweet 9-year-old boy in foster care receives more than 5,000 adoption inquiries after his impassioned plea for a family goes viral

A 9-year-old Oklahoma boy in foster care has piqued the interest of thousands of people across the United States with his heartfelt plea to be adopted.

What are the details?

Jordan, who has been in foster care since the age of 3, said he would love a family — because he wants to be able to have a support system and people to talk to “anytime I need to.”

“I would just like to have a family to call mom and dad, or just mom, or just dad,” he said in a July interview with KFOR-TV. The child added that if he were granted three wishes, they would be “to have a family, and family, family.”

“Those are the only wishes I have,” the boy, who wants to be a police officer when he grows up, admitted.

“The reason it’s important is so I could have some people to talk to anytime I need to,” he explained. “I hope one of y’all pick me.”

Jordan’s permanency planning worker told the outlet that since young Jordan’s video went viral, the department received more than 5,000 adoption inquiries for the child.

‘We’ve had some difficulty finding placement for him’

Christopher Marlowe, Jordan’s permanency worker, said, “I’m in the process of reading through those profiles to select a family to try to move forward with.”

Marlowe said that Jordan — who currently lives in a group home — has been the subject of several failed adoption bids during his time in the foster care system.

“We’ve had a couple of families that expressed interest in adoption but after we did disclosures, the families decided that it wasn’t the right fit for them or their family at this time, so we’ve had some difficulty finding placement for him,” Marlowe explained.

“Even for a child that’s been through custody, he’s been through a whole lot compared to most of our kids,” he admitted to the station.

In 2019, Jordan’s biological brother Braison was adopted without Jordan.

“I’m really excited about this and very hopeful this is going to be the breakthrough we needed to find this kid a home,” Marlowe added.

Coronavirus COVID-19 Pandemic Death Threats Dr. anthony fauci family Intelwars Security Detail

Dr. Anthony Fauci has security protection after ‘serious threats’ to him and his family

Dr. Anthony Fauci says he has security detail after reportedly receiving “serious threats” to the well-being of his family.

What are the details?

In a Friday interview with David Axelrod on CNN’s “The Axe Files” that he and his family — thrust into a very public spotlight amid the COVID-19 pandemic — have been the subject of harassment.

“Serious threats agains me, against my family,” he recalled. “My daughters, my life. I mean, really? Is this the United States of America?”

Such threats required him to receive security detail for his protection.

Fauci says he believes the threats stem from the perception that he is “pushing a public health agenda.”

“There are people who get really angry at thinking I’m interfering with their life,” he admitted. “I’m not a hero — I’m just doing my job.”

Fauci explained that he’s received a fair amount of criticisms over the years while working in public health — including during the 1980s HIV epidemic — but nothing stacks up to what he’s reportedly enduring now.

“I’ve seen a side of society that I guess is understandable, but it’s a little bit disturbing,” he admitted. “Back in the days of HIV when I was being criticized with some hate mail, it was … people calling me a gay lover and ‘What the hell are you doing wasting a lot of time on that?'”

Fauci said that he’d often just dismiss the remarks as a difference of opinion and move on.

What changed in 2020?

In 2020, however, the tenor has apparently changed.

“[It’s] really a magnitude different now, because of the anger,” he insisted.

This time it’s not just hate mail, he says — it’s “serious threats.”

“It’s not good,” he said. “I suppose what this reflects is the divisiveness of our society at a political level. I mean, this is a public-health issue, the fundamental principles of public health, and I don’t see how people can have animosity to that.

“[T]he hostility to public health issues is difficult not only to understand, but difficult to process,” Fauci added.

Christmas Entertainment family Hallmark channel Intelwars LGBT LGBTQ

Hallmark Channel says LGBT storylines and characters will be announced ‘in the coming months’

The Hallmark Channel has long been the cable TV destination for families seeking safe programming — especially during the Christmas holidays.

Because the company has had a history of being faithful to the goal of providing family-friendly programming, it has become a target of the left that wants to see the entertainment outlet become a platform for its cultural agenda, specifically the promotion of the LGBT movement.

In a statement on Twitter last week, the Hallmark Channel announced something sure to set the left-wing agitators’ hearts aflutter: America can expect to see announcements of LGBT storylines and characters “in the coming months” — which would be just in time for Hallmark’s annual “Countdown to Christmas” programming block.

Hallmark’s statement came as a response to a fan who was praising the channel’s announced Christmas lineup but lamenting the absence of LGBT representation.

“I love your movies a lot but I can’t say I’m not looking forward to some lgbtq rep that goes further than just a hint of it. I look forward to seeing the moves but also more rep,” the fan wrote.

Hallmark responded, “Diversity and inclusion is a top priority for us and we look forward to making more programming announcements in the coming months, with projects featuring LGBTQ storylines, characters, and actors.”

“We are committed to creating a Hallmark experience where everyone feels welcome,” the outlet added.

This isn’t the first time in the last several months that Hallmark has faced controversy over LGBT content.

In late November, then-Hallmark Channel chief executive Bill Abbott said the company is “open” to doing movies with gay leads.

Asked whether Hallmark had discussed having stories about same-sex couples at Christmas, Abbott said, “We’re open to really any type of movie of any type of relationship in any space.”

Then, in December, the channel was in hot water over an ad showing a lesbian couple. Hallmark initially yanked the ad after getting pressure from a conservative group, telling the New York Times that the company pulled the ad because the channel doesn’t run ads “that are deemed controversial.”

After a left-wing call to boycott Hallmark, the company relented and reversed course. It not only began running the ads, it fell over itself apologizing for the “hurt” it had caused.

In January, after the Christmas season was wrapped up, Abbott resigned from Hallmark.
