Andy ngo Antifa Capitol siege Elijah schaffer Intelwars Leftists Trump supporters riot at congress

Conservative journalists who’ve closely covered Antifa violence say leftist militants were not behind Capitol siege

Despite numerous claims on social media that Antifa militants were behind Wednesday’s siege on the U.S. Capitol, a pair of conservative journalists who’ve closely covered the violent leftist group say that is not case.

What are the details?

Andy Ngo — who literally wrote the book on Antifa’s lawlessness — told the Washington Examiner that from his vantage point, Antifa militants weren’t part of the group that rioted inside the Capitol building.

“The people occupying the Capitol building do not look like Antifa people dressed in Trump gear or Trump costumes,” he told the paper in an interview from England.

“I have seen no evidence that they are able to coordinate a mass infiltration on this scale before, so I’m really skeptical that they would have been able to do it here without any of that information leaking out,” Ngo added to the Examiner.

Ngo ought to know, too. In addition to penning a book, he’s repeatedly infiltrated Antifa as well as Black Lives Matter gatherings to get first-hand reporting about their actions, tendencies, and core values.

And probably most important of all, if anyone out there has a reason to burn Antifa to the ground, it’s Ngo. Readers of TheBlaze probably recall that the violent leftists — who claim they’re fascism fighters while wantonly practicing fascism at every turn — ganged up on and brutally beat Ngo in a June 2019 incident captured on video.

Check out our brave heroes — their identities concealed with masks and hoods — swarming around Ngo, who’s all alone. (Content warning: Language):

Conservative writer Andy Ngo roughed up at Portland antifa/right wing protests

They seem nice.

Oh, and Antifa militants regularly threaten Ngo’s life. So for him to debunk the claim that Antifa was behind the Capitol siege certainly carries a distinct ring of authenticity.

But at the same time, Ngo isn’t letting the mainstream media off the hook. He called them out for repeatedly treating Antifa rioting as a noble act while suddenly becoming interested in the rule of law when supporters of President Donald Trump rioted in the Capitol building.

In addition to Ngo, TheBlaze’s Elijah Schaffer — who covered the Capitol siege Wednesday and has seen Antifa in action many times — tossed water on the theory that the violent leftists were behind the lawlessness in D.C.

‘Look at my face’: BlazeTV reporter beaten by looters fires back at critics who say Philadelphia violence ‘exaggerated’

BlazeTV reporter Elijah Schaffer — who was beaten earlier this week while covering looting in Philadelphia following the death of Walter Wallace Jr. — has a message for those in the mainstream media who claim the violence that occurred has been exaggerated by so-called right wing outlets: “Look at my face.”

What are the details?

Schaffer recounted the attack on him to Fox News’ Tucker Carlson on Thursday night, where the host asked if any journalist advocacy groups had come to his defense or offered to chip in on his medical bills. The reporter said the response has been “quite the opposite.”

“The man had a gun, and I”ll say this…I owe it to God, and I give praise to Jesus for saving my life in that moment, because just right outside a few hundred yards away a 15-year-old girl was shot, multiple guns were fired,” Schaffer told Carlson. “They had guns, they were using guns, but lucky for me all I received was about a dozen or so blows to the head and the body.”

“So nobody came to your defense?” Carlson asked again, “There wasn’t an editorial in the New York Times that a racist mob attacked you, threatened you with a firearm, beat you up in the middle of a major American city?”

Schaffer replied, “I know the New York Times talked about people they called the right wing ‘glorifying’ or ‘exaggerating’ or ‘hyper-focusing’ on violence, and I have to say to someone at the New York Times, who’s sitting in their office that is writing in the comfortability of their flat, writing and judging and characterizing people: Look at my face.”

“I’m a young man, I’m married, my wife is at home,” Schaffer continued. “I’m just there capturing the news while they’re not, and they look at someone like myself and many other brave people who are putting their lives on the line and they tell me my face being beaten, a gun being pointed at my head…you’re telling me this is an exaggeration? Well, I’m taking blows for America and you’re sitting at your fancy desk and your nice salary telling us—real reporters—why we’re wrong.”

“Journalism is dead in this country, and it’s dangerous,” Schaffer argued, adding, “You know why journalists don’t do this? It’s because it actually takes a risk. It requires sacrifice, and that’s been lost today, in our country. And it breaks my heart to realize people are not getting truth.”

Blazetv reporter attacked Elijah schaffer Intelwars Looting in philadelphia Walter wallace jr

WATCH: BlazeTV reporter details TERRIFYING moment looters surrounded and attacked in Philadelphia

Protests following the fatal police shooting of Walter Wallace Jr quickly devolved into violence, rioting, and looting in Philadelphia, and BlazeTV’s Elijah Schaffer was there to document what the mainstream media won’t. But while filming the carnage inside a Five Below on Tuesday, Elijah was surrounded and attacked by looters.

Elijah joined Glenn Beck on the radio program Wednesday to detail his experience and to explain why mainstream media efforts to downplay the violence just show that independent media has never been more important.

“Unfortunately, [the attack] escalated from one person to about a dozen very quickly,” Elijah explained. “I’m actually really happy to be alive. Because in that same shopping center, right there, there was a 15-year-old girl who was shot, according to reports. And I heard multiple gunshots throughout the night. Another individual is reported to have heard a gunshot as well, so we try to confirm. I watched people get pummeled beyond belief.”

Glenn asked Elijah to respond to mainstream media claims that conservatives are exaggerating the looting and violence in Philadelphia.

“It’s so funny to hear people that aren’t there try to counter what we’re reporting,” Elijah replied.

Beat up Elijah schaffer Filming Intelwars looting Philadelphia Walter wallce

BlazeTV reporter beaten while filming the looting inside Philadelphia store

BlazeTV reporter Elijah Schaffer was attacked Tuesday night inside a Philadelphia store while filming ongoing looting in the wake of the police shooting of Walter Wallace Jr., who was killed after allegedly charging at officers while holding a knife on Monday.

What are the details?

The Daily Caller reporter Shelby Talcott, also reporting from Philadelphia, tweeted Tuesday night, “Mass looting across the river and @ElijahSchaffer just got beaten up for filming. This is inside the Five Below store. Police are in the same parking lot near the Walmart, but there seem to be too many looters.”

Talcott posted footage showing her walking inside the store and seeing Schaffer, who was wearing a white patterned bandana, being approached by alleged looters amid calls for him to “Stop recording!” Schaffer was seen on the video being surrounded by several people who threw punches.

Talcott then posted images of Schaffer with a busted lip, reporting, “.
@ElijahSchaffer got beaten up inside one of the stores for filming.”

Schaffer explained in a video posted on his own Twitter feed that he “was jumped by BLM rioters while they were looting more than a dozen stores, including Wal-Matt, T-Mobile, & 5-below.”

He continued, “Though in pain, I didn’t stop reporting because Americans need to see what the corporate media refuses to show.”

Schaffer then shared the footage he took leading up to when he was attacked. In the tweet accompanying the video, he wrote, “PHILADELPHIA: This is the footage I was recording when BLM assaulted me. Other journalists were filming but I was the only white person in the store I do believe I was targeted for being white as they accused me of being a white supremacist & did not attack people of color.”

What’s the background?

After the police shooting of 27-year-old Wallace went viral, Philadelphia erupted in violent protests and looting caught on social media that evening. More than 90 people were arrested and 30 officers were hurt in the rioting on Monday. The rioting started up again Tuesday with more protests and looting across the city.

BLM protesters chant ‘Every city, every town, burn the precincts to the ground!’ as second night of Philadelphia riots erupt

Black Lives Matter protesters in Philadelphia were recorded reciting a violent anti-police chant during the second night of rioting over the deadly police shooting of Walter Wallace Jr. on Monday.

The protesters’ chant was recorded by Blaze TV reporter Elijah Schaffer, who was told to stop recording shortly after capturing the video.

“Every city, every town, burn the precincts to the ground!” They chanted on the video before the frame jerks as an Antifa girl hits his camera. She is heard saying, “Stop filming!”

Protesters immediately mobilized after video of the police shooting of 27-year-old Wallace went viral on social media.

The video shows Wallace walking toward police as they yell at him and eventually shoot him. Police say he was armed with a knife and allegedly had it out as he approached them and ignored their commands.

Philadelphia erupted in violent protests and looting caught on social media that evening. On Tuesday, the rioting sparked up again with more videos of looting across the city.

Earlier in the evening, Schaffer documented some of the protesters, which he estimated at 400, marching through the streets.

Looters have reportedly struck at a Foot Locker, a Five Below store and a Walmart.

More than 30 officers were hurt in the rioting on Monday, including a 56-year-old sergeant who was intentionally struck by a truck racing through an intersection with police officers attending to the riot. She suffered a broken leg as well as other injuries, police said.

More than 90 people were arrested during the rioting on Monday, most of which were charged with burglary, while 11 were arrested for assault on a police officer.

Antifa Antifa fake press Elijah schaffer Intelwars Rochester protests Rochester riots Slightly offensive Tayler hansen

TheBlaze reporter assaulted by Black Lives Matter agitator pretending to be press: ‘They tried to get me killed’

BlazeTV host and reporter Elijah Schaffer covered the Black Lives Matter protest in Rochester on Saturday night. While covering the protests that escalated into civil unrest where at least one officer was injured and an unlawful assembly was declared, Schaffer was physically assaulted by an alleged Black Lives Matter supporter who was falsely posing as a member of the press.

“Fake press intentionally started a rumor I was a white supremacist to try to get me killed (see previous video),” Schaffer wrote on Twitter. “They turned the crowd on me & started surrounding me At the same time, police saw the escalation & moved in Fake press are terrorists & put us all in danger.”

“I’m really growing weary of this violent ‘fake Antifa/BLM press,'” Schaffer, who is the host of the “Slightly Offens*ve” podcast, said. “They work in conjunction to abuse and endanger real reporters doing their job They use fascist tactics and ‘dress up’ as press to avoid police scrutiny Then they attack you and police don’t know what to do.”

“Fake press is harassing me here. Assaulting me with their camera,” Schaffer tweeted. “Putting me in chat rooms trying to get me jumped This is disgusting behavior Telling me they will beat me up while I do my job.”

On a recent episode of the “Slightly Offens*ve” podcast, Schaffer discussed the rise of protesters and agitators pretending to be members of the press. Schaffer pointed out that Antifa supporters have posed as media members in protests across the country, including Washington, D.C., Portland, and Rochester.

Schaffer explained that the fake press label allows pretend reporters to unmask any reporters who don’t cover Antifa or BLM riots in a positive light. The fake press members are also protected against the police under the guise of the First Amendment’s protection of the right to the freedom of press, despite not actually being real journalists attempting to report on a news story.

There have been cases of reporters being injured by police officers during protests and riots this summer. California Democratic state Sen. Mike McGuire introduced SB 629, a bill that intends to protect journalists. The legislation would prohibit police officers from “intentionally assaulting, interfering with, or obstructing” or citing a member of the press.

“Members of the press risk their personal health and safety each time they attend protests or rallies to get the public the information they need and deserve. Rubber bullets, tear gas, and even detainment cannot be the new norm for an essential pillar of our nation’s democracy. California must lead the way to ensure the right of the press and the First Amendment are protected and held to the highest standard,” state Sen. McGuire said. “SB 629 – The Press Freedom Act – will help ensure journalists can perform these critical roles while being protected under the law from any law enforcement officer intentionally assaulting, obstructing or interfering with their duties while they are gathering the news.”

However, Schaffer and fellow protest reporter Tayler Hansen pointed out that Antifa members pretend to be press members, which hurts real reporters on the ground and destroys any trust between law enforcement and legitimate media members. Schaffer said the fake media members use their press privileges to get closer to cops to “berate” them or “throw tear gas canisters back at the police.”

During a protest in Portland last week, a press member told Hansen that he “didn’t belong here,” and equated him to “Fox News” because he allegedly labeled rioters as “anarchists” on social media.

After the press member exposed him, a group of Antifa members identified Hansen as an unfriendly reporter to their cause. Hansen, the founder of the pro-life “Baby Lives Matter” movement, said he was attacked by Antifa members.

“Last night in Portland I was beaten bloody by four people in Black Bloc,” Hansen wrote on Twitter. “They proceeded to beat me. I was punched in the face, thrown on the ground where they began kicking me in the back and hitting me in the face again. As they fled one yelled ‘Stay out of Portland b*tch!'”

Black Lives Matter Elijah schaffer Intelwars Jacob blake shooting Kenosha Kenosha riots

Kenosha rioter points a gun right in the face of Blaze Media reporter while he’s shooting video of the unrest

A rioter in Kenosha, Wisconsin, brandished a gun and pointed it directly in the face of Blaze Media reporter Elijah Schaffer Monday night — while he was filming.

The harrowing moment encapsulates the intense lawlessness of the current scene in Kenosha, where rioters have taken to the streets and set the city ablaze in response to the
police shooting of Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old black man, over the weekend.

“HOLY SH*#: while interviewing this
#BLM rioter in Kinosha [sic] he pulls out a real pistol and points it at my camera while explaining what we would do to cops if they rolled up on us right now,” Schaffer wrote on Twitter.

“It’s been a while since I had a gun pointed at me even if it was just to make a point,” he added.

Rioters undoubtedly view the incident as yet another example of police in America using excessive force on a black person. However, there are
conflicting reports, and an investigation into the matter is needed.

Blake suffered from seven gunshot wounds, but he is being treated at a Milwaukee hospital and is expected to survive.

Nonetheless, starting on Sunday night, following video of the shooting being widely disseminated, the town erupted in violent protest.

Schaffer has posted several more videos on his Twitter account of the rampant violence taking place, which includes the burning of dozens of personal vehicles, a work truck, and a youth correctional facility.

Even a small business building totally unrelated to the shooting was caught in the crossfire of the angry mob.

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D) deployed the National Guard to help local law enforcement quell the riots Monday night.

Shortly after video of the shooting went viral, without any investigation having been conducted, Evers spoke out in condemnation of the police officers involved and in support of protesters.

“While we do not have all of the details yet, what we know for certain is that he is not the first Black man or person to have been shot or injured or mercilessly killed at the hands of individuals in law enforcement in our state or our country,” Evers tweeted.

The three officers involved in the Blake shooting have been placed on administrative leave.

According to NBC News, the Milwaukee Police Association said Monday that while video of the shooting “may show some troubling things, protesting must remain calm. It must remain peaceful.”

The association added that officials should not rush to judgment: “By rushing to judgment, without knowing all of the facts, this will only fuel the cause of others to protest in a manner that isn’t peaceful.”

BlazeTV reporter Elijah Schaffer interviews protester who started a fire outside a federal courthouse

Slightly Offens*ve host Elijah Schaffer interviewed a protester who alleged that federal officers shot at him for just peacefully protesting and supporting Black Lives Matter. What the protester did not know, Elijah caught him on camera earlier that evening, allegedly setting a fire outside a federal courthouse in Portland.

In this clip, the protester and his girlfriend claimed that federal officers shot him six times with beanbags while he was peacefully protesting.

“What were you doing at the time [the feds] shot you?” Elijah asked.

“At the time, what I was doing was banging on the fence and chanting, ‘Black Lives Matter. All cops are bastards,'” the protester replied.

Appearing to embrace the victim’s role, the protester raised his shirt and showed the camera six beanbag shot wounds.

Elijah asked if the police asked the protesters to vacate the area surrounding the federal courthouse? The protester claimed that the police tried to “snatch” him.

What happened next was priceless. Elijah dropped the hammer and asked the protester if he was involved with starting the fire set outside the federal courthouse.

“Were you the same guy that was involved with starting the fire, too?” Elijah asked.

The protester denied any involvement with starting the fire. Fortunately, Elijah’s camera appears to have caught the protester in the act of starting the fire, which ultimately led to the six beanbag shots he received from the federal officers.

Watch the video to see what else Elijah’s cameras caught outside the Portland federal court building. You can also watch more here, here, here, here, and here.

Saturday marked 57 days of Antifa-led riots that erupted in the streets of Portland. BlazeTV Reporter Elijah Schaffer has been on the scene to bring the latest coverage from Portland.

In Elijah’s latest video, he captured what appeared to be a “protester” and photographer staging an arrest for a photo-op. According to Schaffer, the protester sat on his knees for several minutes (as if being detained), then as the federal police advanced on his position, a photographer arrived and “took the shot” and both parties got up and left.

HATE CRIME? California residents face jail time for painting over Black Lives Matter ‘mural’

This week on “Slightly Offens*ve,” BlazeTV host Elijah Schaffer exposed the real reason it seems like hate crimes are on the rise in America: because the left and mainstream media are inventing them.

Schaffer discussed an incident in Martinez, California, earlier this month, in which a man and woman attempted to paint over a Black Lives Matter mural that had been painted on the road. Nicole Anderson, 42, and David Nelson, 53, have been charged with three misdemeanor counts: vandalism under $400, possession of tools to commit vandalism or graffiti, and violation of civil rights. If convicted, the pair face up to a year in jail.

“We’re sick of this narrative, that’s what’s wrong,” Nelson can be heard saying in a viral video shared on social media. “The narrative of police brutality, the narrative of oppression, the narrative of racism — it’s a lie!”

Contra Costa County District Attorney Diana Becton released a statement last week: “We must address the root and byproduct of systemic racism in our country. The Black Lives Matter movement is an important civil rights cause that deserves all of our attention. The mural completed last weekend was a peaceful and powerful way to communicate the importance of Black lives in Contra Costa County and the country. We must continue to elevate discussions and actually listen to one another in an effort to heal our community and country.”

“Do I think you should paint over a Black Lives Matter mural? No,” Elijah stated. “But, I do want to point out the fact that there’s this new, growing movement where we think that people are going to stop being prideful jerks, and thinking they’re better than other people, by taking down monuments, destroying statues, and most importantly, drawing pictures.”

But BlazeTV’s Elijah Schaffer, who attended the rally, says nothing could be further from the truth.
