Civilian Control: The Pentagon Speaks

This article was originally published by Jacob Hornberger at The Future of Freedom Foundation.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff have spoken. Issuing a remarkable memorandum to all members of the Armed Forces, the JCS have declared that Joe Biden will be the new president of the United States. The memo may have been not only one to military personnel but also to President Trump: No matter how convinced you are that the election was stolen from you, don’t even think about remaining in power because we will ensure your forcible exit from the White House.

Unfortunately, relatively few people, including libertarians, comprehend that the Pentagon, along with the CIA and the NSA and, to a certain extent, the FBI, are the part of the federal government in which ultimate power is being wielded. They are the ones who are ruling the roost in America. That’s why that memo is so important. It’s declaring how things will be.

This overwhelming power is usually exercised behind the scenes in order to make Americans feel comfortable that their government is different from other national-security governments. While the national-security branch of the government is driving the overall direction America will take, especially with respect to foreign affairs, it permits the other three branches to maintain the appearance of power. The idea is to convince Americans that the federal government operates the same as a national-security state as it did when it was a limited-government republic.

But it’s a lie, a very dangerous lie, one that unfortunately is lived by all too many Americans, especially those within the mainstream press.

If you haven’t read the book National Security and Double Government by Michael J. Glennon, you owe it to yourself to do so so. This is Glennon’s thesis — that the national-security establishment is the part of the federal government that is wielding and exercising the ultimate power within the governmental structure. At the same time, however, it permits the legislative, judicial, and executive parts of the government to continue appearing to be in charge.

Glennon is not some crackpot writer. He is a professor of international law at the Fletcher School at Tufts University. He has served as a consultant to various congressional committees, the US State Department, and the International Atomic Energy Agency. You can read a more complete biography here.

If Glennon is right — I firmly believe that he is — then it requires people, including libertarians, to reevaluate everything they understand about the country, especially foreign affairs.

Consider, for example, the many laments against America’s “forever wars.” It’s a popular mantra, including among libertarians. But what good does it do to complain about “forever wars” if the root cause of such wars is left in place, where it is in charge?

In other words, the national-security establishment needs those forever wars, just as it needed the Cold War. Any national-security state necessarily depends on fear, crises, chaos, and emergencies — or “threats” of such things to sustain its existence, its power, and its money. They will always find something for people to be afraid of, even if they have to instigate it. Communism, terrorism, drug dealers, illegal immigrants, Muslims, Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba, ISIS, al-Qaeda, Iran, Syria, insurrectionists, revolutionaries, invaders, or whatever. Without such fearful things, people are apt to ask why they need a national-security state instead of a limited-government republic, which was the type of governmental structure on which America was founded.

What is the distinguishing characteristic of a national-security state, as compared to a limited-government republic? Power — raw, unadulterated power. With its vast military and arsenal of weaponry, along with extreme powers of assassination and surveillance, a national-security establishment has the means of imposing its will on government and on society. No one wields the countervailing power to resist.

This why precisely why our American ancestors opposed the creation of a national-security state or what they called “standing armies.” They understood that once such a governmental apparatus comes into existence, there is no practical way for the citizenry, even a well-armed citizenry, to oppose it. In fact, if the Constitutional Convention had proposed a Constitution that called into existence a federal government that was a national-security state, rather than a limited-government republic, there is no way that Americans would have approved the Constitution.

Practically from the beginning of the conversion to a national-security state, the other three branches have deferred to the overwhelming power of the Pentagon and its vast military-industrial complex, the CIA, and the NSA. All three of those branches have understood the nature of power.

For example, in the 1950s the Pentagon insisted that the Supreme Court grant it a state-secrets doctrine. Ordinarily, that is a legislative function; that’s the way things are ordinarily done in a democracy. The Supreme Court went along with what the Pentagon wanted, thereby circumventing the legislative process.

Consider assassination. The Constitution did not delegate such a power to the federal government. The Bill of Rights expressly prohibits the federal government from killing anyone without due process of law. Nonetheless, when the national-security establishment insisted on having the power to assassinate people, including Americans, the Supreme Court acceded to its demand.

Look at Gitmo, where people have been held for more than a decade without trial. Never mind that the Bill of Rights requires the federal government to grant people speedy trials. That doesn’t matter when it comes to the military and the CIA. The federal judiciary is not going to interfere.

Congress has proven to be just as deferential. For one thing, Congress is filled with people who could be considered to be self-designated assets of the national-security establishment. This especially includes military and CIA veterans. They are almost certain to go along with whatever the national-security establishment wants. For those who strenuously object, they encounter the threat of having military bases or projects in their districts canceled, in which case the mainstream media in their districts will go after them with a vengeance. And there is always the possibility of being “Hoovered” with the threat of having friendly assets in the mainstream press reveal compromising secrets about one’s personal life.

And woe to any president who takes on the national-security establishment. They all know this. That’s why there hasn’t been a president since John F. Kennedy willing to challenge them. For a while, it looked like Trump was going to do so but it wasn’t long before Americans saw that he too quickly fell into line.

It’s time for Americans to do some serious soul-searching and to ask themselves some penetrating questions: Is a root cause of America’s many woes the fact that it is a national-security state, just like China, Russia, and North Korea? Is it time to restore America’s founding system of a limited-government republic? Which governmental structure is more likely to lead to liberty, peace, prosperity, and harmony?

Nikki Haley tells RNC Trump’s actions since election ‘will be judged harshly by history’

Former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley delivered harsh criticisms of President Donald Trump in a speech to the Republican National Committee on Thursday, telling the audience that her former boss’s actions since the election “will be judged harshly by history.”

What are the details?

“President Trump has not always chosen the right words,” Haley said in her address at the RNC’s winter meeting, according to Politico. “He was wrong with his words in Charlottesville, and I told him so at the time. He was badly wrong with his words yesterday. And it wasn’t just his words. His actions since Election Day will be judged harshly by history.”

The Washington Free Beacon reported that Haley also praised Trump for his foreign policy approach, saying, “President Trump was our first commander in chief to see China for what it really is—the greatest global threat facing America. He held China accountable for its unfair trade, its theft of our secrets, and its egregious human rights record. The United States now sees China with open eyes, and we have Donald Trump to thank for that.”

On the morning of her talk, Haley tweeted that “it would be a conversation about where we are, some hard truths, and where I believe we go from here.”

Haley, the former governor of South Carolina, has been floated as a possible 2024 Republican presidential contender, and has campaigned aggressively for GOP Senate candidates. Most recently, she stumped in Georgia for Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, who both lost to their respective Democratic challengers earlier this week—flipping the Senate blue.

Haley called the outcome “a major wake up call for the Republican Party and our country.”

Over the past 24 hours, President Trump has faced calls from within his own party to resign, after hosting a huge rally in Washington, D.C., that ended with the U.S. Capitol building falling under siege by his supporters in protest of the presidential election results.

As Congress prepared to certify the Electoral College votes in favor of President-elect Joe Biden on Wednesday, a mob of hundreds of Trump supporters stormed the building. The rioters overwhelmed Capitol police and even breached the Senate chamber. One woman was fatally shot by an officer when she attempted to climb through a window into the House chamber. Three other protesters died reportedly from medical emergencies.

During the chaos, the president delivered a video message telling the protesters to go home in “peace,” while continuing to insist the the election was stolen.

Since the events on Wednesday, several Trump administration officials including two cabinet members have resigned.

12th Amendment CURRENT EVENTS election elections electoral college Intelwars mike pence Vice-President

Sorry, Vice-President Pence can’t replace electors on his own

As I point out in a recent interview, the failure of the Trump legal team and its allies to understand the Constitution’s rules on presidential elections has cost them dearly. They have evidence of fraud and other election irregularities. But they have not used that evidence well.

The Constitution says that the Vice-President, as President of the Senate, is the presiding officer when a joint session of Congress oversees the counting of president electors. Some of the president’s advocates claim that gives Vice President Mike Pence unlimited discretion over the counting. They say that when the joint session meets on January 6, Pence may unilaterally decide between rival slates of electors.

In pursuance of this theory, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R.-Tex) has sued the vice president. Gohmert asserts that the federal laws on elector-counting are unconstitutional because they are inconsistent with the 12th amendment. He claims the vice president “may exercise the exclusive authority and sole discretion in determining which electoral votes to count for a given State.” He argues that Pence should appoint a Republican slate for Arizona.

The trial and appeals courts have dismissed the case for lack of standing. But if the plaintiffs had standing, their case still would be very weak. Here’s why:

* As the vice president observes, he is not a proper defendant. He has done nothing that makes him the bad guy here.

* The  Gohmert complaint points out that state legislatures can choose electors, but it fails to mention that the constitutionally-authorized deadline for doing so (December 14) passed without the Arizona legislature reversing the result certified under procedures fixed by the legislature.

* Instead, the complaint says that “members of the Arizona Legislature” selected the GOP slate. But it also failed to mention that these members were only a minority of the legislature, acting on their own.

* It is highly unlikely the 12th Amendment gives one person uncontrolled discretion over the presidential and vice presidential electoral counting. This is particularly so when that person is the vice president—someone who may be (as in this election) one of the candidates himself.

* A legal principle says that when a result seems unlikely, you don’t assume it is correct unless the governing law clearly compels it.  But the 12th amendment does not clearly determine that the vice president has exclusive authority to count the ballots. Quite the contrary. It says only that “the President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted.” It gives the Veep authority to open the ballots, but does not specify who counts them.

* When the Constitution or law is silent, normal parliamentary procedure is to proceed according to the rules specified by the parliamentary body. That means rules adopted by the joint session of Congress, not by the presiding officer.

* Congress has set forth those rules in federal statutes. The plaintiffs claim the statutes (which they wrongly attribute to a single enactment) are unconstitutional.  However, once again their lack of constitutional understanding caused them to lose an opportunity: The  statute is not unconstitutional, because it contradicts the 12th amendment—which it doesn’t. The statute may be unconstitutional because it intrudes on a federal function.

To explain: When Congress comes into joint counting session, it is not acting as the federal legislature. It is acting as an assembly exercising a function directly mandated by the Constitution. Federal functions usually are exempt from statutory regulation.

On the other hand, the joint session may—expressly or impliedly—agree voluntarily to follow the statutory procedures. If the joint session does not object to using established legal procedures, then it is deemed to accept them. Dyer v. Blair, 390 F. Supp. 1291 (N.D. Ill. 1975) (Justice John Paul Stevens).

But that is surely the joint session’s decision, not the decision of the presiding officer.

American cost Bullish creating slaves dependence devastation Donald Trump Economy election Federal government free market future taxpayers Headline News Intelwars markets Mathematics middle class elimination obey orders passing legislation selection stealing stimulus checks taxation is theft financial upheaval

This article was contributed by Future Money Trends.

In March, sending $1,200 stimulus checks to each and every American cost current and future taxpayers some $320bn, which is far less than what the federal government spends on many items that are far more wasteful. $600 stimulus checks would using the same mathematics, cost $160bn to the federal government. Even $2,000 checks would run something in the order of $530bn, which, in the big picture, is quite doable.

The Democrats were obviously on board with the idea of $2,000 checks, and now that Donald Trump is championing the notion that China is responsible for this unfortunate turn of events and Americans are victims of this financial upheaval, the $2,000 stimulus check package is becoming a battleground for passing legislation.

As you can see, the “Hard Data,” which is much more helpful at predicting market corrections, is nosediving. “Soft Data,” which is more volatile, is also cratering faster than imaginable, and we believe that it won’t take much for markets to endure a short-term hiccup.

We are very bullish, though, on the stock market. While there’s a ton of uncertainty out there, the time to be invested is now!

We’ve got major problems that are scaring big investors away. As they check off boxes in 2021, they’ll return with their deep pockets, but prices could be much higher.

Apart from a black swan event, which we personally can’t foresee (of course, no one can, by definition), there aren’t many bearish catalysts we can see.

Here are things that can cause volatility, fear, panic, and sell-offs going into 2021:

  1. A government shutdown due to the inability to pass a budget, stimulus bill, or both.
  2. Strain mutations, which present fears that the vaccines won’t be effective or that some forms of the virus could be deadly.
  3. An eviction crisis, as there are roughly $60bn-$70bn due in rents and the stimulus package covers only $20bn.
  4. Real estate prices freezing.
  5. High unemployment for long periods.
  6. A disappointing earnings season in Q1.
  7. Biden’s tougher stance with Russia.

The biggest catalyst is the Georgia Senate election, which could put Democrats over the top and give them full control (a blue sweep if Biden is sworn in).

This will lead to speculation about excessive spending, a giant deficit, socialism, tax hikes, and who knows what else…

For now, let’s focus on Trump and on his ultimatum on Section 230 and its removal, which he attempted to tie with military funding and now with the $2,000 stimulus checks. Whether you voted for him or not, this strategy is certainly a genius negotiation tactic.

What the markets want to see is compromise, but the Democrats’ strategy might be to wait it out until early January, when Mike Pence has to count the electoral votes in Congress, and January 20th if there’s a formal transfer of power.

The $900bn bill is dead, in our opinion. President Trump wouldn’t call it a disgrace and ineffective on national TV only to ink it a few days later.

Will Congress be able to negotiate a new one in time? There are many moving parts; blood is in the streets for Main Street!

This article was contributed by The Wealth Research Group, and we deem it important!

In 2020, our inbox got filled after each and every letter we published that mentioned either Trump or Biden; it’s like walking on eggshells. I want to address this topic of favoritism or bias towards either Republicans or Democrats, Biden or Trump, America First or Globalism, socialism (communism) vs. capitalism, free speech or censorship (Section 230) and all the other highly inflammatory subjects that Americans, from both sides of the aisle, are not seeing eye-to-eye on and find no middle-ground to compromise on.

Hopefully, this will put to rest any confusion about where we stand on these issues and, instead of a flood of emails each time we express commentary, there will be an understanding of expectations, so that you’ll see our point of view.

The first thing to note is that we have heard and looked into all of the arguments from both sides:

* We have heard and looked into Trump supporters consider the following to be indisputably true: Joe Biden is a pawn of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the mainstream media and tech giants are suppressing the evidence of voter fraud (creating a false narrative), they’re purposefully not reporting about Hunter Biden’s legal issues (since it would have reflected horribly on Joe’s presidential aspirations), globalists agendas are hijacking America’s middle-class jobs and sending them overseas (the Deep State and its operatives), bankrupting the wealth of the average American (through debt and currency creation). They are also rewriting history and creating a radical left policy (“woke” Americans and “Cancel Culture”), which will rob Americans of their God-given rights and freedoms set forth by the Constitution, by trampling all over it (propaganda and BLM, for example). If Biden gets his way, America is toast and there will be nothing to stop Democrats on their quest to implement their own version of 1984.

On the flipside, Americans who hate President Trump also believe they’ve got all of their ducks in a row and take the following to the bank:

* We have heard and looked into what they live and swear by, which are the following: President Trump is a liar and a clown, who is not to be trusted. He destroyed America’s prestige among world leaders by ruining relationships with other countries, disregarding climate change, colluding with Russia, creating racist policies, helping his friends with favors, exaggerating and cheating, allowing people to die from the pandemic by not sticking with the science (he closed the borders first, but did not enforce masks…) and creating a more dangerous Middle East by removing troops, creating a power vacuum that terrorists will fill instead.

We are well aware of, highly familiar with and constantly checking various media sources in order to absorb all narratives and digest the data from all angles.

We listen to many channels, which have been taken down from YouTube and now publish on alternative platforms and we also listen to the mainstream narrative, in order to understand where most Americans (certainly most of millennials) get their “facts” from.

There are no blind spots or areas where we’re being naïve or complacent. There are no areas where we’re bending over and accepting tyranny or allowing any media source to dictate reality to us. By wearing a mask, we are not saying that CNN is right and by not wearing one, we are not saying that coronavirus does not exist and that this is all 5G-related. Said differently, we are not “persuaded” or brainwashed.

We’re not a political publication at all, but because politics is woven into the market behavior, we certainly must comment on it, which creates friction, when the letter does not conform to the reader’s view of the world. It’s impossible to publish any worthwhile insight, without aggravating a single soul, unfortunately.

Therefore, whenever we incorporate politics into our letters, it is done for the purpose of showing not what WE believe is the truth about Biden, Trump or their respective agendas, but what “the street” (which is to say Wall Street) believes to be the truth, since our mission is to highlight financial and investment opinions and reporting.

If I think the moon landing never happened, that the Earth is actually flat and that Area 51 is filled with aliens and I’ve got all the supporting evidence to back these claims, it will do me no good from a financial perspective, if Wall Street is not trending in this fashion.

Over 80% of money invested in stocks is transacted by large funds and massive pools of wealth, and Computer Algorithm Trading, so the value of knowing what the street is thinking is ENORMOUS.

If, for instance, you believe that Joe Biden is going to hand over American interests to the Chinese, or, on the flipside, you believe that four more years of Trump will result in America losing its respect with world leaders, the BEST and first thing you can do in either case is become financially independent, so that you can protect you and yours from what’s coming.

Your highest priority in life should be to live your BEST LIFE, since politics will never be just how you want it. One cannot be a victim of the times he is living in and this doesn’t mean being silent about injustices or not saying what you believe, but it does mean to not allow these issues to bring your quality of life down with them!

Bottom line: our publication projects the sentiment of the street, not that of the author, because the street is what matters!

After we release information, we dissect the potential opportunities it creates. This is how we showcased Bitcoin at $450/coin, when Jamie Dimon was threatening to fire employees, who traded it. We saw that the street was bullish. We released information and offered our opinion. This is how we turned bullish on stocks in late March, when we saw the FED would do anything to get the markets functioning again.

When we say that one should tolerate the opinions and notions of the very people he despises, we do not mean one should ACCEPT them by any stretch of the imagination. If someone came to me explaining Marxism, for example, I would listen with an open mind in order to understand how he thinks about the world, but his opinion would then be challenged with facts, from my part. I refuse to accept bullshit and unsubstantiated opinions, but I also refuse to be closed-minded, impatient or not exhibit courtesy, by turning away. Tolerating does not equal agreeing with or succumbing to the other side!

It means that we respect the diversity of opinions and the right of others to believe what they want. In the end, we lead by example; therefore, openly discussing issues and getting down to the root causes of why people think certain thoughts will help rid the world of foolish notions. Not being tolerant actually adds fuel to their convictions and puts them on the defensive and back them into a corner. We see it with teenagers all the time; whatever a parents warns them not to do, that’s what they’ll be obsessed with doing to spite their folks.

So, after this long background explanation of the purpose of this newsletter, know that when we state that President Trump just signed into law the $600 stimulus checks, there will be those who claim that he had caved, while others would reject that and believe that it’s part of his greater strategy.

Both could be right, but where is the VALUE in analyzing it?

The value is in understanding what the big money thinks, because that’s where opportunity exists. This is the main mission of our newsletter, which deals with financials.

The street is convinced that 2021 will be a bit more inflationary than in recent years and that’s important for you to know!

With the Treasury General Account holding $1.5tn, which they’ll spend into the real economy, with oil prices and agricultural commodities breaking out and with the GSCI on the verge of breaching a 12-yr resistance line, that’s the most important piece of information from a financial point of view – which is what you’ll always get from us.

Trump Kicks COVID Bill Back To Congress; Demands $2,000 Stimulus, Shreds Lawmakers Over Mountain Of Pork

This article was originally published by Tyler Durden at ZeroHedge.

President Trump appeared to threaten to veto the COVID-19 stimulus package that Congress passed almost 24 hours earlier, telling lawmakers to boost checks for Americans to $2,000 as well as “get rid of wasteful and unnecessary items” in the spending bill

Trump said “throughout the summer, Democrats cruelly blocked COVID relief legislation in an effort to advance their extreme left wing agenda and influence the election…”

“it’s taken forever” to get a package and the bill passed “is much different than anticipated.”

“It really is a disgrace,” he added.

Then reeled off a list of disgusting ‘pork’ (read the details here) that has been piled into this record-breaking 5,593-page bill.

As Axios notes, many of the items Trump listed, such as foreign aid, which were not related to COVID-19 are not part of the coronavirus relief package. These form part of the government funding bill, which was passed alongside the coronavirus relief package.

Then he took a shot at Biden and the election

“Send me a suitable bill or else the next administration will have to deliver a COVID relief package and maybe that administration will be me and we will get it done.”

Dem senator says Republicans who challenge election are ‘bordering on’ treason, a crime punishable by death

According to Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), Republican lawmakers who refuse to accept President-elect Joe Biden’s electoral victory “are bordering on sedition and treason.”

Speaking on CNN, Shaheen suggested that Republicans who continue to challenge the election results are violating their promise to defend the Constitution.

“Each of us who are serving as senators took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. One of the most fundamental principles of the Constitution is the peaceful transition of power,” Shaheen said. “These senators and members of Congress who have refused to acknowledge that we had a free and fair election in which Joe Biden beat Donald Trump by over 7 million votes, are bordering on sedition and treason.”

Shaheen’s allegations are very serious, considering federal law says those individuals found guilty of treason against the U.S. “shall suffer death.”

The U.S. criminal code on treason reads:

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

The U.S. criminal code on seditious conspiracy reads:

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

Shaheen’s comments came after the Electoral College met this week to officially confirm Biden’s election victory.

Anything else?

Last month, Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.) said President Donald Trump and his allies should be tried for “crimes against our nation.”

“Donald Trump and members of his administration have committed innumerable crimes against the United States,” Pascrell said. “He has endangered our national security. He ripped families apart. He poisoned the Census. He has personally profited from his office. He has attacked our elections and sought to throttle democracy.”

“Therefore, in 2021 the entire Trump administration must be fully investigated by the Department of Justice and any other relevant offices,” Pascrell added. “Donald Trump along with his worst enablers must be tried for their crimes against our nation and Constitution.”

Alarm cleared throat cough COVID-19 election Headline News Intelwars Joe Biden plandemic political parasites Politics & Government President-elect Press Conference scamdemic Scott Detrow selections Seriously Ill sickness Twitter

Is Joe Biden seriously ill?

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The End of the American Dream.

A Joe Biden coughing fit has caused a firestorm of speculation to erupt on social media.  If you don’t know what I am talking about, you can watch Joe Biden repeatedly cough and clear his throat during his most recent press conference right here.

It is being reported that Biden either coughed or cleared his throat 17 times during his 14-minute speech, and his voice was very hoarse the entire time.  As you will see below, Biden is admitting that he has “a cold”, and perhaps that is all that it is.  But there is a long tradition in Washington of politicians from both parties covering up major health problems, and many are wondering whether Biden is covering up something now.  So could it be possible that Joe Biden is seriously ill?  We may not get an immediate answer to that question, but without a doubt, many of his supporters have become extremely alarmed.

For example, one Twitter user that watched the press conference said that Biden is “scaring us” by coughing so much, and another openly wondered whether Biden is in “need of a COVID test”

Social media users took to Twitter to voice their worry and crack jokes with one user saying ‘Drink some water, Joe. You’re scaring us.’

One Twitter user asked ‘Does Biden need a COVID test?’ and another chimed in ‘Someone get Biden some Robitussin stat!!!’

And even a Biden apologist like NPR’s Scott Detrow has been forced to admit that this is “the most sustained coughing” that he has ever heard from Biden…

“To the main theme of the Twitterverse right now: Biden regularly clears his throat and coughs in speeches – especially at the beginning of remarks,” wrote NPR political correspondent Scott Detrow. “That’s the most sustained coughing I’ve heard though.”

There is no way that Biden could possibly claim to be at full health, and at this point, he is telling the public that he has “a bit of a cold”

“Thank you, I have a little bit of a cold, I’m sorry, but look, you know, you did it, you did it, not a joke,” Biden said during the live stream. “This campaign for president was more like the first time I ran as a 29-year-old for the Senate. I believed that ordinary folks and extraordinary folks would get together and make this work. You didn’t let us down. You didn’t let the country down. I really mean it, think about it.”

Of course in this environment, if anyone starts repeatedly coughing those around them immediately begin wondering if that individual has COVID-19.

So has Joe Biden been tested within the past 24 hours?

I have not been able to find any news source that says that he has been.

Hopefully, he will get tested very soon, because the American people deserve to know the truth.

And at 78 years of age, Biden is definitely in a very high-risk group.  Due to their advanced ages, I was deeply concerned about how President Trump and Joe Biden would hold up physically during this election season.  Running for president takes a huge toll physically, mentally, emotionally, and physically, and that makes candidates especially vulnerable to various diseases.

As speculation about Biden’s health heats up, a “new variant” of COVID-19 has been identified on the other side of the Atlantic…

A “new variant” of the COVID-19 virus has been identified in the United Kingdom and linked to a faster spread of the disease, Britain’s health secretary has said. The World Health Organization has been notified.

Matt Hancock announced that London and a number of other areas in the south of England will be placed under new harsher restrictions following “very sharp rises” in COVID cases.

So far, we are being told that approximately 1,000 people have tested positive for this new variant of the virus.

The big question that people are asking about this new strain is whether or not the recently developed vaccines will work against it.

As I have discussed previously, mutations can cause major problems for vaccine developers.  For example, every 12 months scientists try to come up with a flu vaccine that they think will work against the strain or strains of the flu that they believe will be dominant that particular year.  Sometimes the match is pretty good, and sometimes the match is not good at all.  And when the match is not good, getting a flu vaccine is pretty much useless.

So could a similar thing happen with COVID-19?  If a new mutation becomes dominant and the newly developed vaccines will not work against it, we could be back to square one very rapidly.

Of course, there are millions upon millions of people that do not intend to take any COVID vaccine under any circumstances.  Safety concerns keep being raised, and this week we learned that the FDA “recommends monitoring people” who get a vaccine to see if they develop Bell’s palsy…

U.S. Food and Drug Administration staff recommends monitoring people who get Pfizer or Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine shots for possible cases of Bell’s palsy, saying it’s not necessarily a side effect but worth watching out for after a handful of trial participants got the condition, which causes half of your face to droop.

If you are not familiar with Bell’s palsy, the following is a definition that comes from the Mayo Clinic

Bell’s palsy, also known as acute peripheral facial palsy of unknown cause, can occur at any age. The exact cause is unknown. It’s believed to be the result of swelling and inflammation of the nerve that controls the muscles on one side of your face. Or it might be a reaction that occurs after a viral infection.

For most people, Bell’s palsy is temporary. Symptoms usually start to improve within a few weeks, with complete recovery in about six months. A small number of people continue to have some Bell’s palsy symptoms for life. Rarely, Bell’s palsy can recur.

Sadly, this is just one of the many “side effects” that we know about so far.

I believe that we have entered an era when multiple pandemics will be raging all over the globe, and so we should expect endless debates about vaccines, masks, and lockdowns for the foreseeable future.

For decades, Americans could go about their daily lives without ever having to think about what viruses might be floating around out there, but now everything has changed.

The global elite would like to use the COVID-19 pandemic to “reset” the world in their own image, and we must not allow them to do that.

No matter how bad things get, we must stand up for our basic constitutional rights, because once they are gone it will be exceedingly difficult to ever get them back.

Sen. Rand Paul says voter ‘fraud happened’ and ‘the election in many ways was stolen’

Kentucky GOP Sen. Rand Paul said Wednesday that voter “fraud happened” in the Nov. 3 election and that “the election in many ways was stolen,” pointing to examples of allegations raised in several states.

The Republican made the comment during a Senate hearing addressing election irregularities as President Donald Trump continues to challenge the outcome of the race despite President-elect Joe Biden officially winning the Electoral College vote.

What are the details?

“A lot of the laws that have to be confirmed and I think reaffirmed are state laws, so it’s not in our purview,” Paul said, addressing the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee. “But the state laws are set, and then we have federal elections. So what we’ve heard about what happened in Wisconsin, what happened in Nevada, I think is absolutely true and we have to prevent it from happening again.”

“I think state legislatures will need to reaffirm that election law can only be changed by a state legislature,” he continued, referring to changes in election laws made in some states by officials rather than lawmakers—such as in Pennsylvania where universal mail-in voting was implemented ahead of the general election without action from the legislature.

Paul went on to argue, “The fraud happened. The election in many ways was stolen, and the only way it will be fixed is by in the future reinforcing the laws.”

What else?

Sen. Paul’s remarks sparked speculation over whether he might be considering challenging the Electoral College votes next month when Congress meets to certify the election for Biden, an action that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in a call earlier this week
reportedly urged GOP members not to do.

When asked about the prospect by CNN, Paul replied, “I haven’t thought about it, or made any plans to do anything.” Regarding McConnell’s alleged warning, Paul said, “I wasn’t part of that phone call.”

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) announced weeks ago that he plans to contest the Electoral College votes on Jan. 6, saying that the “election was stolen by the socialists engaging in extraordinary voter fraud and election theft measures.”

No Senate Republicans has yet committed to joining Brooks in the challenge, but if one were to do so it would force debate over the issue. However, the prospect of overturning the Electoral College vote by Congress is highly unlikely, particularly given that Democrats control the House.

Trump: “It’s Too Soon To Give Up” The Election Fight

Donald Trump has expressed his irritation at politicians such as Mitch McConnell who congratulated Joe Biden after the electoral college voted to further cement the Democrats’ win. But Trump has not thrown in the towel, and says it’s “too soon to give up!”

Trump took to his social media of choice, Twitter, on Wednesday, venting his anger at the top Republican senator’s words, according to a report by RT.  “Mitch, 75,000,000 VOTES, a record for a sitting President (by a lot). Too soon to give up. Republican Party must finally learn to fight. People are angry!” he wrote.

The remark from Trump came in response to a statement made by McConnell on Tuesday in which he acknowledged Biden’s win after the electoral college vote, congratulating him and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. “The Electoral College has spoken,” McConnell said, noting that “as of this morning, our country has a president-elect and a vice president-elect” even though “many millions of us had hoped the presidential election would yield a different result.”

McConnell has reportedly privately warned fellow Republican senators against challenging the election results, urging them to not dispute the Electoral College decision during the upcoming joint session of Congress to confirm the results. The session is scheduled to take place on January 6. The words of the Senate majority leader have angered Trump’s supporters, with the most hardcore going so far as to accuse McConnell of being a “traitor.”

“McConnell just wants power, influence, & money. He is willing to sell America to get what he wants. McConnell is a traitor to American Patriots,” Trump campaign attorney Lin Wood said.

The Trump campaign appears poised to stick this out for the next month as things continue to unravel.  At this point, though, the division between the left and right has never been wider.  No republican will accept a Biden presidency and not democrat will accept another four years of Trump.

The time to wake up to this division is now. Be aware of what’s happening but don’t get sucked in. Stay the course, stay prepared, and know the real-world ramifications of either one of these two being inaugurated next month. Either way, there will be consequences.

Watch: Geraldo Rivera and Charlie Kirk spar over whether Trump’s election fight should continue

Fox News senior correspondent Geraldo Rivera and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk argued Monday over whether President Donald Trump should continue his challenges to the presidential election, after the Electoral College
officially voted for Democrat Joe Biden as president-elect.

What are the details?

Following the Electoral College vote, Biden called for unity in an address to the nation. Fox News host Martha MacCallum hosted Rivera and Kirk for their reactions, and the two commentators expressed their opposing views on how things look for Trump’s prospect at overturning the results.

Rivera delivered what he called a “superficial” criticism of Biden’s delivery before saying, “However, he’s absolutely right: It is over. I want my friend, the current president, the 45th president to understand it is over. The Electoral College has voted. The longer we drag this out, the more we damage the fabric of our democracy … and it also damages the legacy of Donald Trump, who should be taking a victory lap right now celebrating the vaccine that he almost single-handedly forced the scientific community to get ready to save millions of lives.”

In response, Kirk argued, “If we actually want what’s best for the country, you’re gonna have to answer some of these questions that 55 to 60 million Americans have, and they’re very good questions, such as, why were signature processes changed in Georgia? What exactly happened with people being shut out from voting tabulation process?”

Kirk went on to say that “Joe Biden mentioned in his speech that some of this was discussed in court. Some of these, by the way, are still being played out. There are still plenty of pending legal challenges, there are hundreds…”

“That is so dishonest,” Rivera said, stepping in, repeating again, “That is so dishonest,” as Kirk asked to finish making his point.

Kirk went on to raise further voting regularity concerns that have been flagged by the Trump campaign, before Rivera pushed back: “For six weeks. We have litigated this for six weeks. Twice the Supreme Court of the United States have rejected it.”

He told Kirk, “You have to stop this.”

What happened next?

MacCallum then played a montage showing the passion Trump supporters feel in fighting for their voices to be heard.

In reaction, Rivera noted that in the 2000 election, Al Gore conceded with only 500 votes separating him and George Bush during a contested election. He argued that Trump supporters are following Trump’s lead in contesting the election against Biden, due to his defiance, saying the president is “instilling in these people the false sense that they have been gypped.”

Kirk continued to argue, “I believe, for the future of our country and for the goodness of our republic, these questions must be answered or else you’re going to have tens of millions of people that will never trust another election again.”

The Electoral College Will “Vote” Today And Officially Certify The (S)Election

Today is the day.  Members of the Electoral College will get together throughout the day in their respective states to cast their official ballots for president. Most states will offer live streams to watch their proceedings, as they decide whether Joe Biden or Donald Trump will sit behind the resolute desk.

These votes will take place at locations chosen by state legislatures which is typically the state’s capitol. Exceptions include Delaware – whose electors will meet in a gym, and Nevada – which will be the only state to hold its meeting virtually this year, according to the New York Times.

Electors will use paper ballots to cast their votes for president and vice president.

And while33 states require their electors to choose whoever won the state’s popular vote, 17 other states don’t “bind” their electors – who can vote for whomever they choose. If they cast a vote for another candidate than the one which won the state, they are considered ‘faithless electors.’ In 2016, two faithless electors didn’t vote for Trump, while five faithless electors didn’t vote for Hillary Clinton. The seven electors were from Hawaii, Texas and Washington State. –ZeroHedge

After the electors meet and the votes are officially counted in Congress during a joint session held in the House chamber on January 6, with Vice President Mike Pence presiding over the affair. Pence will open the certificates, organized in alphabetical order by state, and present them to four “tellers” – two from the Senate and two from the House, who count the votes. Once Joe Biden receives at least 270 votes, as is expected to be the case, Pence will announce the result. The session cannot end until the count is complete and publicly declared, at which point the election is officially decided.

Last month, Donald Trump told reporters that if Biden is elected by the Electoral College, that he would leave office. “Certainly I will, and you know that,” he said, adding “I will and, you know that,” though he also said, “It’s going to be a very hard thing to concede because we know there was massive fraud.”

California will cast all of their electoral votes for Joe Biden around 5 pm, and that could be the push Biden needs to become the president of the United States in January.

2020 presidential election election Intelwars Joe Biden Michael Flynn Michael flynn essay President Donald Trump Western journal

Michael Flynn breaks silence post-pardon with stirring remarks on 2020’s ‘war against the forces of evil’: ‘We must refuse to go to the funeral of our independence’

Gen. Michael Flynn, President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, has broken his silence following his presidential pardon and said that he believes the country is in a “war against the forces of evil.”

In a remarks published in the Western Journal, Flynn insisted that the country must band together and refuse to “go to the funeral of our independence.”

His remarks come as the president and his supporters challenge the 2020 presidential election results in several states.

What are the details?

In his remarks, which were delivered on Saturday, Flynn said, “The battle we are engaged in cannot be fought with only human weapons: It requires the intervention of God because in a war against the forces of evil, only the Lord can obtain the victory.”

“[A]s American citizens, we must refuse to go to the funeral of our own independence,” he added. “We the people are proud to proclaim that the United States of America is ‘One Nation under God.'”

“In this public profession of faith in God, we recognize his Lordship over our country, and we proudly stand beneath the banner of Christ and our flag, in which millions have sacrificed their very lives for,” Flynn continued.

Flynn made the remarks from the steps of the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C., as thousands of demonstrators gathered and held pro-Trump signs in support of an ongoing challenge of the 2020 presidential election results.

Citing scripture, he pointed out that the Lord also said, “‘Whoever is not with me is against me.'”

“We do not want a world governed by tyrants whom no one has elected and who want to have power in order to destroy us,” he said. “We understand what their plan is: to eliminate dissent, subdue any criticism and outlaw those who do not submit unconditionally to the dictatorship of the ‘new world order.'”

“In this crucible moment of our time, we have to pray that truth triumphs over lies, justice triumphs over abuse and fraud, honesty triumphs over corruption,” the former national security adviser later added. “Our sacred honor triumphs over infamy.”

He also insisted that there are “still avenues” to secure a Trump re-election.

“[W]e’re fighting with faith, and we’re fighting with courage,” Flynn added.

Trump pardoned Flynn in November after Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about contacts with a Russian envoy.

He later added, “The courts aren’t going to decide who the next president of the United States is going to be. ‘We the people’ decide.”

“[W]e’re only asking to show us a little transparency,” Flynn continued. “Why not recount? Why not look at the signatures? Why not look inside these [voting] machines? Why not? What are they afraid of? What are they hiding from? They’re hiding from something.”

Outright stating that fraud took place during the 2020 presidential election, Flynn insisted, “Our protest, our denunciation of electoral fraud is not only motivated by the fact that we are supporting Donald J. Trump as a candidate. It is above all a battle for justice and truth, which goes far beyond membership in a party or voting for a candidate.”

“Pray now that when the light shines in the coming days, it reveals the truth along with a new era of American patriotism,” he concluded.

The Electoral College is set to vote Monday on the results of the 2020 presidential election.

2020 Election Brian babin Dead people voting election election fraud Intelwars voting fraud You must be alive to vote act

Republican congressman introduces bill requiring Americans to be alive to vote

A Republican congressman made a stand against dead people voting in elections and introduced a bill that requires Americans to be alive in order to cast ballots. Rep. Brian Babin (R-Texas) proposed the You Must Be Alive to Vote Act last week.

“The right to vote is one of the most vital pillars of our democracy, the foundations of which are election integrity and confidence in our democratic processes,” Babin said. “The ease with which someone is able to steal the ballot of a deceased person and cast an illegitimate vote should disturb, alarm, and outrage every American citizen, no matter what side of the aisle they sit on. To protect our democratic process and Americans’ faith in our elections, we must ensure that deceased individuals are not allowed to remain on state voter rolls.”

“My bill will prevent any funds from the U.S. Departments of Transportation or Education, with the exception of those going toward law enforcement agency grants, from going to counties of any state that do not annually check their voter lists against the Social Security Administration’s most recent death records in order to purge them of any individuals found to be deceased,” Babin declared. “All elected officials, from your local city council member to your U.S. President, have an obligation to obey the law and prevent fraud in our elections, and Congress should not be awarding taxpayer dollars to any counties or states that refuse to do the job they swore to do.”

“You would think it would be unnecessary to have a bill like this, I mean it goes without saying you should be alive before you get to vote,” Bain said in an OAN interview. “We’ve uncovered some fraudulent plans to register a bunch of dead people to vote down in South Florida, and it’s the easiest thing in the world for these local counties to purge their voter list of deceased individuals. All they have to do is to go to the Social Security system and cross check against their deceased Social Security recipients on their list and then purge them off of the voter list.”

“Everyone in this Congress — everyone in this country — should want an assurance that dead people are not voting. And we don’t have that assurance right now because so many of these voter lists have just not been updated, whether it’s intentional, and whether it’s laziness indolence are just, you know, nonchalance,” Babin explained. “We need to make sure that these voter lists are accurate and that deceased individuals are not on their voting.”

Babin noted, “This is not a Republican bill,” and that there should be a “bipartisan effort to make this election process a lot more transparent.” The GOP congressman wants to “clean up our election process.”

Bain points out, “We have an enormous number of individuals in this country that don’t trust the election process. Not good.”

The bill, which has eight co-sponsors thus far, arrives on the heels of President Donald Trump challenging the results of the 2020 election, claiming that there was widespread fraud. The Trump legal team has alleged that there has been voter fraud after deceased people have cast ballots.

Ted Cruz urges US Supreme Court to take up Pennsylvania election challenge

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) issued a statement Tuesday urging the United States Supreme Court to hear an emergency appeal challenging the election results in the state of Pennsylvania, which was filed by fellow Republicans.

What are the details?

Last month, Pennsylvania Rep. Mike Kelly (R) and GOP congressional candidate Sean Parnell filed a lawsuit in their home state that declared “universal mail-in voting unconstitutional in the state,” according to KDKA-TV, who reported that the suit, if successful, would have resulted in throwing out “the votes of the majority of Pennsylvanians who voted by mail in the Nov. 3 election.”

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court unanimously threw out the order, so Kelly and Parnell filed an emergency appeal to the U.S. high court. Sen. Cruz says case has merit.

“This appeal raises serious legal issues, and I believe the Court should hear the case on an expedited basis,” the senator wrote, noting that “the Pennsylvania Constitution requires in-person voting, except in narrow and defined circumstances,” and that “late last year, the Pennsylvania Legislature passed a law that purported to allow universal mail-in voting, notwithstanding the Pennsylvania Constitution’s express prohibition.”

Cruz, a litigator who has argued before the U.S. Supreme Court, also pointed out that “just over a month ago, Justice Alito, along with Justice Thomas and Justice Gorsuch, wrote — correctly, I believe — concerning the Pennsylvania court’s previous decision to count ballots received after Election Day, that ‘there is a strong likelihood that the State Supreme Court decision violates the Federal Constitution.'”

He argued that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court put the plaintiffs “in a Catch-22” by telling them, in short, that “before the election, they lacked standing; after the election, they’ve delayed too long.”

Cruz went on to acknowledge that the U.S. Supreme Court would typically not take up election cases dealing with state law, but that “these are not ordinary times.”

The Republican from Texas concluded:

As of today, according to Reuters/Ipsos polling, 39 percent of Americans believe that “the election was rigged.” That is not healthy for our democracy. The bitter division and acrimony we see across the nation needs resolution. And I believe the U.S. Supreme Court has a responsibility to the American people to ensure that we are following the law and following the Constitution. Hearing this case-now, on an emergency expedited basis-would be an important step in helping rebuild confidence in the integrity of our democratic system.

Donald Trump Economy election Fraud Headline News Intelwars Justin C. Kweder loyal Mail-in ballots Polling president rigged selection survey Trump Supporters Voting Workers

This article was contributed by Future Money Trends.

Is there a way for Republicans, led by Donald Trump, to lead America for another term? The answer is YES, but it’s not what you think. In a survey that was just conducted, 53% of Republican voters said they would vote for Donald if he ran again in 2024. Another 8% said they would vote for Donald Jr., which should show you that Donald Trump has a massive following – even if the lawsuits that are currently in the court system don’t pan out.

It’s not an allegiance to the Republican Party that makes us say this; Trump supporters are loyal to Donald in a special way and we believe that this movement is not going away.

In Pennsylvania, witnesses raised many issues, among them:

  • Attorney and poll witness Justin C. Kweder: “96% of the board workers were processing mail-in ballots 15 to 200 plus feet from us… The observers were not able to challenge any decision or determination being made about the processing of these mail-in ballots.” Plus, “The observers were informed that the board was going to be duplicating damaged mail-in ballots that could not be read by the scanners. I was told that there were more than 5,000 of these damaged ballots.”
  • Canvasser Kim Peterson: As the mail-in ballots were being opened, the witnesses were kept at a distance of at least “20 feet, about, and you could not see, at all, the envelope, the ballot itself, where they were stacking them, anything that was required that we were able to see.” Moreover, the monitors provided for viewing were “pathetic,” “fuzzy,” and “looked like they were using old technology.”
  • Poll watcher Leah Hoops: “What became of concern was the back room, which had no observers, no line-of-sight or transparency into the process… We were granted five minutes every two hours… The setup was sitting in a chair 20 feet from any physical ballot.”
  • Navy veteran and forensic computer scientist Gregory Stenstrom: “As an expert in this, I think it’s impossible to verify the validity of about 100,000 to 120,000 votes… What I saw, as a forensics expert, was an election process that was forensically destructive in the manner it was conducted with the envelopes being separated from the ballots and going to the other side of the room.”

What we are now seeing as likely is that President Trump will look to hedge his bets by announcing that he’ll run again in 2024, while campaigning in Georgia in the weeks ahead, in an effort to secure the Senate for Republicans.

This raises the likelihood that the White House will push Mitch McConnell to put a bill on the floor to help avoid the eviction crisis that’s sure to come in January, without rent relief.

Trump won’t want to announce his presidential race for 2024, while millions of people face evictions and a government shutdown puts one million more employees on leave and many households on the street.

We believe that the White House is pushing for a bridge stimulus bill until the president is finally announced by the electorates and the courts.

We’re now seeing a remarkably-unsustainable market rally and, in my opinion, any negative developments which are not priced in, and any positive news which is already priced-in and doesn’t go above and beyond, could prick this balloon.

America is seeing the most unfair wealth transfer in its history; wealth gaps are so big and the difference in access to opportunities is so distinct that we see a divide that might be impossible to close in this generation or the next.

Keep your eyes this week on the sales data from Black Friday and Cyber Monday, along with talks from the White House about the need to pass stimulus and the 2021 budget. If Trump wants to leave office (should he need to) on a positive note, strong and popular, with hopes of running again in 2024, he’ll want to do it as a hero.

The markets will celebrate this type of behavior big-time; the bubble could have 10% more to go — S&P 500 at 4,000 points could be just around the corner.

Today’s letter is divided into two sections: the first is the update on the bloody mess that precious metals are undergoing and the second is a summary of the hearing that Rudy Giuliani and the list of witnesses reported that gave verbal accounts of their testimony about Pennsylvania’s voter irregularities.

In short, the answer is NO. There are several instances since December 2015 where we’ve seen similar moments to this. These are instances in which the volatility index plummets, many events conspire to bring hope, and there’s the assumption that central banks might tighten and that there’s no catalyst for precious metals. These instances come and go since you can’t get rid of the underlying issue: more currency is created by the second.

As you can see, gold fights these moments off and rallies:

Courtesy: Zerohedge

If this one follows in the footsteps of the ones we saw in June 2019 and March 2020, watch out, bears!

As you can see, in August, the price of gold distanced from its 200-DMA so much that this sell-off was due to arrive. Taking profits in August was very smart.

Right now, our thesis is that the best course of action is a slow accumulation. The value proposition is certainly the best it’s been since March, and in terms of the mining industry itself, the validity of the sector is well intact. The trend is clear — gold is heading down.

The median all-in sustaining cost is still $975/ounce, so mining companies are still able to report strong earnings, which is the key to understanding the reason we’re about to pull the trigger on the most compelling buy-the-dip setups, in our opinion.

This is gold’s worst month in four years!

Courtesy: U.S. Global Investors

Like we wrote two weeks ago, when gold’s price was much higher, we could see gold falling all the way to $1,750. These shakeouts are the best buying opportunities in hindsight. Traders surrender and it feels bad; there’s a sense of desperation about the future’s price action. We think we’re going to see that frustration fairly soon.

Pennsylvania had multiple alleged “irregularities” in the state’s vote count:

* At least 21,000 dead people on Pennsylvania’s voter rolls

* Duplicate ballots were mailed out to thousands of registered voters (Pittsburgh officials have admitted that this happened)

* A lawsuit filed against the state of Pennsylvania for having more than 800,000 inactive voters on its voter rolls

* Pennsylvania’s attorney general told Ted Cruz to “stay the hell out of” the state’s disputed tabulation of presidential election votes

* Dominion Voting Systems’ corrupt election software system was reportedly used in Pennsylvania

Along with that, Giuliani cited another set of numbers that don’t add up. Pennsylvania received approximately 1.4 million absentee or mail-in ballots. However, in the count for president, they counted 2,589,242 absentee or mail-in ballots. How will they account for the discrepancy?

“I know crooks really well. You give them an inch, and they take a mile. And you give them a smile, and they take your whole country.” These were Giuliani’s ending remarks for his opening speech.

Could all of these witnesses possibly be lying in a public hearing, making up the very specific details of what they saw and heard? The mountain of firsthand evidence can only lead informed citizens to one conclusion.

Here’s what President Trump is saying about all of this:

“The whole world is watching us. The whole world is watching the United States of America, and we can’t let them get away with it… This election was rigged, and we can’t let that happen. We can’t let it happen for our country.” – Donald J. Trump.

The zero hour cometh; we shall see if these hold up in the Supreme Court or if Biden will be inaugurated on January 21st, 2021.

Congress election Election 2020 Intelwars Iowa Iowa election Mariannette miller-meeks

Republican congressional challenger set to win election by 6 votes

The old adage “Every vote counts” was punctuated in the tightly-contested election in Iowa’s 2nd District. Republican congressional challenger Mariannette Miller-Meeks is set to win the election by a mere six votes.

In a heated race where 394,400 votes were cast, Miller-Meeks squeaked out a victory against Democrat Tina Hart by the razor-thin margin of six votes. Miller-Meeks had been up by only 47 votes, but a recount shaved the lead to just six.

“As more ballots have been counted, the margin has narrowed dramatically and is now down to a mere 6 votes — making this the closest Congressional race in recent history, and one of the very closest in the last hundred years,” Hart’s campaign manager, Zach Meunier, said in a statement, according to the Iowa City Press-Citizen.

Meunier alleged, “Unfortunately, as this process continues, the Miller-Meeks campaign has sought to keep legitimate votes from being counted — pushing to disqualify and limit the number of Iowans whose votes are counted.”

A state canvassing board is scheduled to convene on Monday to certify the results of the election, which is the legal deadline to do so.

The Hart campaign did not indicate whether it would file a legal challenge in the election. A challenge would set in motion a review by a judicial panel.

Meunier said, “We will closely review what the county and state boards do on Monday with an eye toward making sure all Iowa voices are fully and fairly heard.”

Meanwhile, Miller-Meeks asserted that she won the race, which both candidates were attempting to fill the seat of Democrat Rep. Dave Loebsack, who is retiring after seven terms, as reported by Fox News.

“While the race is extraordinarily close, I am proud to have won this contest and look forward to being certified as the winner by the state’s Executive Council on Monday,” Miller-Meeks said in a statement released on Saturday. “It is the honor of a lifetime to be elected to serve the people of eastern and southern Iowa.”

Republicans congratulated Miller-Meeks on her apparent victory.

“Congratulations to my friend, and the first woman to represent Iowa’s 2nd District, @millermeeks! Looking forward to serving alongside you in Congress representing our Great State of Iowa,” Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

“Congratulations! @millermeeks,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) tweeted. “More good news for the House.”

Miller-Meeks enlisted in the United States Army at 18-years-old, and served for 24 years as a private, nurse, and doctor. The retired U.S. Army Reserve lieutenant colonel was the Director of the Iowa Department of Public Health, and is an ophthalmologist. She was previously unsuccessful in attempting to unseat Loebsack in 2008, 2010, and 2014.

election Harmeet dhillon Intelwars Powell lawsuit Sidney powell Trump legal fight

Legal adviser for President Trump says these arguments in Sidney Powell’s lawsuits could ‘affect the outcome of the election’

Pro-Trump attorney Sidney Powell finally came through on her promise to legally challenge the 2020 election Thursday by releasing two highly anticipated lawsuits in Georgia and Michigan alleging widespread fraud. As for what affect the lawsuits will have on the results of the election — which for now show former Vice President Joe Biden defeating President Trump 306-232 in the Electoral College — that remains to be seen.

But at least one Trump campaign legal adviser appears to believe that the claims made in the Georgia lawsuit, if argued successfully before a judge, could overturn the election and grant the president a victory.

What are the details?

In a lengthy Twitter thread Thursday, Harmeet Dhillon, a lawyer and former Republican Party official who is now involved in the Trump campaign’s legal effort, summarized the key claims made in Powell’s suit. She acknowledged that while some of Powell’s major arguments — such as that Dominion Voting Systems software was hacked and that thousands of ballots were pre-printed for Biden — would certainly “be enough to change the election results,” they may be more difficult to prove in court.

Instead, Dhillon suggested that a simpler path to victory for Powell would be to lean into a couple lesser, but still serious, claims of election fraud made in the suit.

“To me, the easiest way to reach the goal [of overturning the election] is something much simpler alleged in the complaint at para. 121,” wrote Dhillon. “That thousands of specific, identifiable voters, cast ballots after they moved out of state as evidenced in their registration in a national database, and may even have cast votes in their new states also which can easily be checked against the other state’s records. This accounts for thousands of votes.”

“The other category Matt Braynard has researched & documented, is thousands of identifiable, specific registrations at fraudulent addresses such as P.O. Boxes, non-residential, etc.,” she continued. “These seem to be specific and of a sufficient volume that their disqualification would affect the outcome of the election. I think this simple tack — much easier to grasp and prove than the more complicated theories — is compelling.”

What else?

It should be noted that UPS allows individuals to set up personal mailboxes at local stores where they can receive mail and packages and the United States Postal Service sometimes allows individuals without permanent addresses to have mail sent to local stores via “General Delivery.”

It could be that Powell’s suit is alleging an irregular number of absentee ballots were delivered to such mailboxes, raising suspicion of fraudulent activity.

Anything else?

Dhillon went on to counter the charge that it is too late to challenge the election because votes have already been cast, recounted, and in many cases certified by state election officials.

“[But] how are you supposed to allege that someone cast a ballot from a fraudulent registration address or after moving, before the election?” Dhillon asked. “This is something that can only be checked after the votes are cast and tallied, particularly where last-minute registrations are permitted by increasingly lax voter registration policies pushed by Democrats, followed by no signature verification or other safeguards, as the lawsuit alleges.”

“I think these ‘Braynard’ allegations have legs, and should be pursued aggressively,” she concluded.

Judge orders Pennsylvania halt certification of election results as fight over mail-in ballots continues

A Pennsylvania judge has ordered state officials to stop any further action in the certification of election results in the Keystone State until her court is able to hold an evidentiary hearing scheduled on Friday.

Commonwealth Judge Patricia McCullough, issued the injunction order on Wednesday in response to an emergency request made by Republican lawmakers and candidates who claim that a state law allowing no-excuse absentee voting violated the state constitution.

“To the extent that there remains any further action to perfect the certification of the results of the 2020 General Election for the offices of President and Vice President of the United States of America, respondents are preliminarily enjoined from doing so, pending an evidentiary hearing to be held on Friday,” McCullough wrote in the injunction order. “Respondents are preliminarily enjoined from certifying the remaining results of the election, pending the evidentiary hearing.”

McCullough is the presiding judge over a lawsuit brought by Republican lawmakers and candidates against the state, its general assembly, Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf, and Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar.

The plaintiffs in the case allege that the statute in question, Act 77, “is the most expansive and fundamental change to the Pennsylvania voting code, implemented illegally, to date.” They argue that in order for absentee voting to be expanded, a constitutional amendment is required, not just the passage of legislation.

“As with prior historical attempts to illegally expand mail-in voting by statute, which have been struck down going as far back as the Military Absentee Ballot Act of 1839, Act 77 is another illegal attempt to override the limitations on absentee voting prescribed in the Pennsylvania Constitution, without first following the necessary procedure to amend the constitution to allow for the expansion,” the lawsuit reads.

The plaintiffs filed the emergency request after they say state officials announced the certification of presidential election results prematurely. The state certified election results on Tuesday. In 2016, Pennsylvania certified the presidential election on Dec. 12, the Epoch Times noted.

Democratic Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro immediately responded to the news, vowing to appeal the order with the state Supreme Court.

News of the order broke as state lawmakers conducted a public hearing on “election issues and irregularities” in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Members of President Trump’s legal team were present at the hearing.

2020 Election election Florida Hispanic voters Intelwars Latino voters President Trump Texas

Latino support of Trump improved election margins in 78 of nation’s 100 Hispanic counties, increased in battleground states

President Donald Trump earned 32% of Latino voters in the 2020 presidential election, which caught many Democrats by surprise since he was branded as a “racist” by the mainstream media for four years.

Trump excelled with Tejanos, Mexican American inhabitants of southern Texas. In Zapata County, Texas, which is 94.7% Hispanic, Trump defeated Biden by a margin of 52-to-47. Thanks to the Democrats cozying up to socialism, approximately 55% of Florida’s Cuban-American vote went to Trump.

A new report found that Trump’s increased support from Latinos wasn’t limited to only border towns in Texas and South Florida. Trump made significant inroads with Latino voters in the 2020 election throughout the nation.

Trump improved his margins in 78 of the country’s 100 majority-Hispanic counties, according to election analysis by Politico. The report added that Trump increased his support with Hispanic voters in the top 10 battleground states, based on exit polls.

“Puerto Ricans as far away as Philadelphia and Mexican Americans in Milwaukee drifted Trump-ward,” Politico reported.

“Most Latinos identify first as working-class Americans, and Trump spoke to that,” Josh Zaragoza, a top Democratic data specialist in Arizona, told Politico’s Marc Caputo. Zaragoza continued, “Their economic language is more aligned with the way Republicans speak: pulling yourself up by your bootstraps, owning your own business.”

Jose Parra, founder of the consultancy Prospero Latino, said, “Let’s face it, ‘defund the police’ is just not the best slogan, especially in a place like Miami, where a lot of people work in law enforcement, or along the border of Texas, where Latinos are in Border Patrol.”

“Calls to ‘defund the police,’ a boycott of Goya Foods and the threat of socialism turned off some Latino voters. And even using the term Latinx to describe Latinos in a way that’s gender-neutral only served to puzzle many Hispanics,” the article stated.

During a conference call earlier this month between Democrats attempting to discover what went wrong in the 2020 election, members of the DNC were reportedly concerned with the party’s embrace of far-left policies such as defund the police as well as flirting with socialism.

“Defund police, open borders, socialism — it’s killing us,” Rep. Vincente Gonzalez (D-Texas) allegedly said. “I had to fight to explain all that.”

Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-Calif.) supposedly questioned the DNC’s Latino outreach program.

Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.) allegedly went so far as to say, “We have to commit to not saying the words ‘defund the police’ ever again. We need to not ever use the words socialist or socialism ever again. It does matter, and we have lost good members because of that.”

“If we run this race again we will get f***ing torn apart again in 2022,” the Virginia congresswoman reportedly proclaimed.
