Suicide attempts by teen girls spiked during COVID-19 pandemic: CDC

Suicide attempts by teen girls spiked during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to new data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Among the adolescent girls aged 12-17 years, the average weekly visits to the emergency department for suspected suicide attempts from February 2021 to March 2021 was 50.6% higher than the same period the year before, according to the CDC analysis. Boys were far less likely to show suicidal tendencies during the same time period; the number of emergency department visits for suicide attempts rose by 3.7% for males.

“In May 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, ED visits for suspected suicide attempts began to increase among adolescents aged 12–17 years, especially girls,” the CDC study found.

From late July to late August 2020, the average weekly number of emergency department visits for suspected suicide attempts among 12- to 17-year-old girls increased by 26.2% from the same time period the prior year.

“The study likely underrepresents the real number of suspected suicide attempts because Americans were hesitant to go to hospitals during the pandemic, in fear of contracting COVID-19,” according to CNBC. “In spring 2020, there was a 16.8% drop in emergency department visits among men and women aged 18 to 24 compared with the same time period a year prior.”

The study theorized that the stresses of the COVID-19 pandemic may have been toxic to the mental health of young people.

“Young persons might represent a group at high risk because they might have been particularly affected by mitigation measures, such as physical distancing (including a lack of connectedness to schools, teachers, and peers); barriers to mental health treatment; increases in substance use; and anxiety about family health and economic problems, which are all risk factors for suicide,” the CDC study said.

The CDC suggested that parents spending more time with children at home because of lockdowns may have tipped off adults to suicidal thoughts and behaviors of their children.

“The findings from this study suggest more severe distress among young females than has been identified in previous reports during the pandemic, reinforcing the need for increased attention to, and prevention for, this population,” the CDC said of the significant difference of suicide attempts by boys and girls.

States began implementing stay-at-home orders in March 2020, and by the end of March, 32 out of 50 states had locked down.

The CDC noted that the increase in suicide attempts did not equate to more deaths. The suicide rate among young persons aged 1524 from the third quarter of 2019 and the third quarter of 2020 “saw no significant change.”

Earlier studies also found an alarming increase in suicide attempts and suicidal thoughts during the COVID-19 pandemic. A poll conducted in June 2020 by the CDC found that 25.5% of Americans ages 18 and 24 reported “having seriously considered suicide in the 30 days before completing the survey.”

In January 2021, a rash of suicides forced Las Vegas schools to reopen partially.

In Japan, suicides were up nearly 40% in October 2020 compared to the same period in 2019. Suicides by Japanese women spiked by 82.6% in October, compared to a 21.3% increase in suicides by men.

Drug overdose deaths in the United States surged during the coronavirus pandemic, reaching the highest totals since the opioid epidemic began, according to the CDC.

CDC: US drug overdose deaths surged during COVID-19 pandemic, most since opioid epidemic began

A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found an alarming jump in the number of drug overdose deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data from the CDC shows that drug overdose deaths in the U.S. increased by nearly 29% during the pandemic.

The CDC report discovered that more than 87,000 Americans died from drug overdose deaths from September 2019 to September 2020. The one-year period death toll is the highest number of overdose deaths ever recorded in a year since the opioid epidemic began in the 1990s, according to the New York Times. Overdose deaths had declined slightly in 2018, the first decrease in decades.

The data was collected by the National Center for Health Statistics, but the CDC noted that the actual number of overdose deaths is likely higher.

“Provisional drug overdose death data are often incomplete, and the degree of completeness varies by jurisdiction and 12-month ending period,” the CDC stated. “Consequently, the numbers of drug overdose deaths are underestimated based on provisional data relative to final data and are subject to random variation.”

The largest increases in drug overdose deaths happened in April and May 2020, when government-mandated lockdowns were the strictest.

The areas with the largest increases in drug overdose deaths: District of Columbia (61.2%), Louisiana (54%), Kentucky (50%), West Virginia (47.3%), and Colorado (43%).

Also this week, Maryland’s Opioid Operational Command Center revealed that 2,773 people died from drug and alcohol overdoses, the most by far in the state since records were kept. Nearly 84% of all reported overdoses were attributed to fentanyl, a synthetic opioid.

Last week, the CDC announced the launch of Overdose Prevention Programs, which will supply the public with rapid fentanyl testing strips.

“The test strips can be used to see if drugs have been mixed or cut with fentanyl,” WSPA-TV reported. “The goal is to provide drug users more information, so that they can reduce the chances of overdosing on the drug.”

In 2017, then-President Donald Trump declared the national opioid crisis to be a public health emergency.

The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health said reasons for increased drug addiction could stem from: “Historically high unemployment rates and preventative physical distancing measures have also exacerbated social isolation and despair, known risk factors for substance use disorders.”

A report from the Associated Press released in December found that there were far more overdose deaths than COVID-19 deaths in San Francisco in 2020.

During the coronavirus pandemic, there were also reports of increased suicides of students in Las Vegas, a record-high number of suicidal students in San Francisco, and a 39% increase in suicides in Japan last October.

Depression Economy FDR goods and services government is slavery Great Depression Great Reset Headline News inflation infrastructure Intelwars Lyndon Johnson money Money Creation National Debt no jobs price increases spending Stagflation Stimulus Spending taxation is theft unemployment Unite States wake up War worship of infrastructure

Infrastructure Bills Do Not Lead To Recovery, Only Increased Federal Control

This article was originally published by Brandon Smith of Alt-Market.us at The Birch Gold Group.

The concept of infrastructure stimulus has been hyped for decades as a kind of cure-all for economic decline. The propaganda runs parallel to the narrative of the “savior” of the Great Depression, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. In fact, one cannot examine the presidency of FDR without being bombarded with one-sided worship of infrastructure spending and the “New Deal.”

The New Deal is often credited in left-leaning literature as being the singular cure for the depression, and FDR by extension has been handed messiah status among leftists. The New Deal is supposedly proof that massive socialized federal and central bank interventions through public works programs is economic ambrosia. So, it’s not surprising that nearly every president since the Great Depression has argued for an unprecedented infrastructure bill when faced with economic collapse. A large portion of the public on both sides of the aisle has been trained to think these programs will save us.

Biden, in particular, has made historic stimulus spending the very first platform of his administration, and consistently cites FDR and Lyndon Johnson as patron saints of his infrastructure bill. If it worked for them, then obviously it will work for him… right?

Actually, the New Deal wasn’t a great deal

In reality, the public works and welfare programs of FDR in particular had very little to do with the ending of the Great Depression. In fact, the New Deal actually made the situation worse.

Roosevelt’s own Treasury Secretary, Henry Morgenthau, lamented on May 6th, 1939 after two full terms of FDR’s presidency and stimulus programs that the New Deal was a complete failure. He stated to fellow Democrats during a session of the House Ways and Means Committee that:

“We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. And I have just one interest, and if I am wrong… somebody else can have my job. I want to see this country prosperous. I want to see people get a job. I want to see people get enough to eat. We have never made good on our promises… I say after eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started… And an enormous debt to boot!”

High unemployment and declining living standards were an epidemic in the U.S. throughout the 1930s and well into World War II. The Census Bureau outlines the dismal state of the financial system and the U.S. consumer throughout this period in its “Historical Statistics of the United States.” By 1939 the stock market had crashed on multiple occasions, car sales imploded by 30%, business closures increased by 50%, and real estate foreclosures were still near record highs. The New Deal had achieved minimal benefits of limited scope, but not much else. For the average American, it was as if nothing had changed in a decade.

That said, for certain major companies and big banks, the gains were incredible. Companies like General Electric, IBM, Proctor and Gamble, and JP Morgan saw endless profits during the Great Depression while buying up smaller competitors for pennies on the dollar. Those companies involved in public works programs siphoned government money like a black hole while very little trickled down to American workers. All in all, the Great Depression was a windfall for the corporate elite as wealth was consolidated and centralized into fewer and fewer hands.

So we have to ask, if the New Deal was a failure and did nothing to solve the depression problem, what did solve it? Some historians and journalists suggest the beginning of World War II and increased defense spending saved America. This is incorrect. As noted by Robert Higgs, the U.S. standard of living continued to decline throughout World War II. It was not the beginning of the war that saved America, but “After the war, genuine prosperity returned for the first time since 1929.”

How the U.S. led the world out of the war

The U.S. was one of the only industrialized nations on the planet that had been left mostly untouched by the destruction. Because of this, all other nations had to turn to the U.S. for manufacturing during the long rebuilding process. In Europe, this process carried on well into the 1950s. The U.S. had very little competition, so much so that the U.S. dollar’s reserve status increased to the point of complete dominance. If you wanted access to manufactured goods, you had to trade with the U.S. and to trade with the U.S., you had to have a stockpile of U.S. dollars.

What I see today is a change in the flow of global commerce – in the opposite direction from the post-war era. Yes, trillions of dollars in stimulus measures have created a short-term reversal of the pandemic collapse. In fact, there is much evidence to suggest the economy is overheating. Price inflation is becoming rampant in numerous sectors.

In the meantime, U.S. Treasuries are being dumped by foreign investors and the dollar is in decline. Central banks are now dumping the dollar, decreasing their reserves to the lowest level since 1995.

China is now the world’s largest manufacturing base, leaving very little major industry on U.S. soil. In the background, globalists are calling for a “Great Reset” of the world economy that would centralize monetary policy even further and create the foundation of a cashless society built on a digital reserve currency system.

What’s the massive infrastructure spending really about?

I believe, according to the evidence as well as past failures like the New Deal, that Biden’s infrastructure plans will accelerate the U.S. collapse instead of reversing it. The U.S. GDP might increase, but only because it is calculated to include almost every dime the government prints out of thin air and spends. Production of fiat money is not the same as real production within the economy.

Trillions of dollars in public works programs might create more jobs, but it will also inflate prices as the dollar goes into decline. So, unless wages are adjusted constantly according to price increases, people will have jobs, but still won’t be able to afford a comfortable standard of living. This leads to stagflation, in which prices continue to rise while wages and consumption stagnate.

Another Catch-22 to consider is that if inflation becomes rampant, the Federal Reserve may be compelled (or claim they are compelled) to raise interest rates significantly in a short span of time. This means an immediate slowdown in the flow of overnight loans to major banks, an immediate slowdown in loans to large and small businesses, an immediate crash in credit options for consumers, and an overall crash in consumer spending. You might recognize this as the recipe that created the 1981-1982 recession, the third-worst in the 20th century.

In other words, the choice is stagflation, or deflationary depression.

Finally, I would point out that there may also be an ulterior motive for the deluge of federal dollars into state economies through public works. Currently, Conservative states are increasingly willing to risk the consequences of returning to business as usual, regardless of federal mandates. Resistance is building against pandemic-related restrictions.

Red states are also seeing a far superior financial recovery when compared to blue states. Blue states have sabotaged themselves with lockdowns while red states have remained more open. However, the Biden Administration is hell bent on keeping pandemic restrictions in place nationwide

What if infrastructure spending plans are designed to trap red states into compliance with future covid mandates? What if the goal is to bribe these states with trillions in stimulus, but only if they submit to federal authority? I suspect that Biden’s public works bill is partially intended to be a blue state bailout, and money will be withheld from any conservative state that refuses to conform to lockdowns.

Only time will tell what the true agenda is, but this much is undeniable given the facts at hand: Biden’s plan is either an act of desperation, a deliberate attempt to pull the rug out from under the U.S. dollar and the economy to jump-start the globalist reset or a scheme to lock state governments into obedience over pandemic restrictions.

Whatever else Biden’s “New New Deal” is, it is certainly NOT a plan for economic recovery.

Anatomy of a Bubble and Crash

This article was originally published by Charles Hugh Smith at Of Two Minds Blog.

Needless to say, few are expecting bubble symmetry to manifest now, because, well, of course, “this time it’s different.” Indeed. It’s always different and yet always the same, too.

Let’s indulge in some basic logic:

1. All speculative bubbles pop, regardless of source, time, or place. (100% of all historical evidence supports this.)

2. The current “Everything Bubble” is a speculative bubble.

3. Therefore the current speculative bubble will pop.

Now that we got that out of the way, the question becomes: how will the crash play out? There is no way to forecast precisely when or how the current speculative bubble will crash, but history offers a few potential templates.

The dot-com bubble offers a classic example of bubble symmetry and scale invariance. (See chart below.) Note how the bubble arose in two legs of X duration and it crashed in two symmetrical legs of X duration. In both legs, the crash returned to the same levels from which the bubble took off.

Scale invariance: this same symmetry is visible in bubbles that soar and crash in 6 days, 6 months, or 6 years. The symmetry also holds whether the instrument soars from $1 to $5 or $100 to $500, or whether it is in index, commodity, or equity. (See charts of Cisco Systems (CSCO) in 2000 and Tesla (TSLA) in 2020 below.)

If bubble symmetry holds this time around, the explosive rallies visible in the charts of the Russell 2000 (IWM) and Global Nasdaq (NOGM) will crash back to their lift-off levels in an equally explosive collapse of similar duration to the explosive rise.

Needless to say, few are expecting bubble symmetry to manifest now, because, well, of course, this time it’s different. Indeed. It’s always different and yet always the same, too.

Coronavirus depression Depression Hayden hunstable Intelwars lockdowns Youth suicide

Family opens up about 12-year-old who hung himself after COVID-19 lockdowns left him ‘sad and lonely’

The family of a 12-year-old boy from Texas who hung himself last spring is speaking out about the tragedy in hopes of raising awareness about youth suicide amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Hayden Hunstable, of Aledo, Texas, took his own life last April after feeling isolated and lonely due to the nationwide lockdowns spurred on by the pandemic, the boy’s father, Brad, 42, recently told Metro UK. He was discovered in his bedroom by his 8-year-old sister.

“I had no idea he was struggling or depressed, he was such a happy kid and loved his friends and family,” his dad told the news outlet. “But Covid is a perfect storm for suicide and depression. I think everything just got on top of him, he felt overwhelmed and he made a tragic decision.”

Brad Hunstable recalled that he was shocked and horrified, especially since there were no warning signs and he didn’t have any clue that his son was depressed.

“On April 17 our water went out at the house and my dad came over, Hayden helped us fix it. It was a beautiful sunny day and I gave him a hug and a kiss on the head. Then when my dad left there was just me, Kinlee and Hayden at home. There was only a 30 minute window,” he recalled. “Hayden had gone upstairs.”

“Then my daughter ran downstairs and said Hayden has hung himself. I ran up there, pulled him down and tried to save him. I performed CPR but I couldn’t save him. He was gone. I saw something horrific that day and I don’t wish it upon anybody. I still get nightmares about it,” he said.

Hunstable said that his son was active in the community and loved going to school and seeing his friends. But he said the isolation from classmates coupled with his dislike for virtual learning could have resulted in Hayden feeling depressed.

“He loved football and he loved being around people, he was very social,” the father told Metro. “He was a little guy but he had the heart of a lion. He was beloved by his friends and family.”

Hayden may have been triggered into making a “tragic impulse decision” after he broke a second monitor at home, his father added. For Christmas 2019, Hayden’s parents got him a monitor to play video games on, but he had broken it out of frustration.

“We told him he would not get another one, but then lockdown hit and I told him he would have to work to get a new one,” Hunstable said. “He did some chores around the house and we got him a cheaper one in April because it was his birthday on April 21st and he wanted to play with his friends.”

When police were investigating his death, they reportedly discovered that he had broken the new monitor, as well.

“I don’t know if he was scared about getting into trouble or anxious about not being able to speak to his friends and ruining his birthday,” Hunstable said. “He either did it in impulsive anger or he got himself in a situation he couldn’t get out of.”

Now, Hayden’s family is determined to use his death to bring positive change. They founded “Hayden’s Corner,” a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about youth suicide and produced a video, “Almost Thirteen,” which shares Hayden’s story.

Almost Thirteen PSA

youtu.be

“I am on a mission to solve youth suicide. Parents need to have conversations with their kids about their feelings,” Hunstable told Metro. “We need to talk to kids about suicide and talk to kids about how to deal with depression. Kids get depressed and they need to be taught how to deal with their problems.”

Since the start of the pandemic, several have voiced concerns over the unintended consequences of shelter-in-place orders and school closures, noting that while lockdown restrictions may protect people from the coronavirus, the forced isolation may also take a toll an mental health.

In May, California doctors reported that they had seen more deaths from suicide that from the virus. Then in June, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control discovered that more than one quarter of young adults in the country contemplated taking their own life. Just last month, Las Vegas schools decided to reopen as “quickly as possible” after a rash of student suicides rocked the school district.

2021 2nd Amendment Congress Depressed Depression Intelwars Politics

H.R. 127: A New Bill In Congress Would Literally End Your 2nd Amendment Rights Permanently

If a new bill that has been introduced in Congress eventually becomes law, the 2nd Amendment will still be in the U.S. Constitution, but for all practical purposes the rights that it is supposed to guarantee will be dead and gone.  H.R. 127 was submitted on January 4th, and if you have not read it yet you can find the full text right here.  It contains a lot of technical language, and so in this article I am going to try to break down what it means very simply.  Now that the Democrats control the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives, there is going to be a major push to ram through some form of gun control legislation.  If it is not this bill, it will be another one, so we need to be diligent.

One of the biggest things that H.R. 127 would do is that it would create a national firearms registration system that would literally be accessible by anyone

HR 127 establishes a federal firearms registration system that will be accessible by federal, state, and local governments, including the military – even the GENERAL PUBLIC! The system will track the make, model, and serial number of all firearms, their owners, the dates they were acquired, and where they are being stored.

So if your neighbor, a co-worker, or someone that just wanted to rob your home wanted to know how you were armed, all they would have to do would be to look it up in the firearms registration system.

This bill would also apply retroactively.

Within three months, you would have to report to the government where you bought all of your guns, when they were purchased, and where they are currently being stored.

Needless to say, if the government knows where all of your guns are being stored, it would make it that much easier to grab them from you at some future date.

H.R. 127 would also require all gun owners to be federally licensed.

That would mean that owning a gun would no longer be a right.  Instead, it would be reduced to a “privilege” that the government could take away at any time.

According to the bill, the licensing procedure would include “a psychological evaluation”

The licensing requirement mandates that the license applicant undergoes a criminal background check, and then submits to a psychological evaluation to determine whether the person is psychologically unsuited to possess a firearm. Successful licensees must show they have an insurance policy which will cost $800.

I know a lot of guys out there that would definitely not want to go through any sort of a “psychological evaluation” by a government-approved psychologist.

And it wouldn’t just be you that would get interviewed.

According to the bill, spouses and other family members would be interviewed as well

For the psychological evaluation, a licensed psychologist will interview individuals’ spouses and at least two other family members or associates to “further determine the state of the mental emotional, and relational stability of the individual in relation to firearms.” Licenses will be denied to individuals hospitalized for issues such as depressive episodes; no duration for license disability is specified, and it does not matter whether the individual sought help voluntarily.

The goal, of course, is to make owning guns as difficult as possible.

Democrats figure that if they can put up as many barriers to gun ownership as possible, a lot less people will end up owning them.

Thirdly, this bill would also greatly restrict the type of ammunition that you can own

Finally, HR 127 also criminalizes the possession of “large-capacity magazines” (those carrying greater than 10 rounds) and “ammunition that is 0.50 caliber or greater.”

I know that all of this sounds utterly ridiculous, but the restrictions in this bill actually sound very, very similar to what Joe Biden has been publicly proposing

During the 2020 campaign, Joe Biden promised a long list of gun control regulations. There is a reason that Michael Bloomberg spent $125 million helping Biden in Florida and something over $600 million nationally in the general election.

The agenda includes: classifying many semi-automatic rifles and magazines holding more than 10 bullets as Class 3 weapons (which can require nine months or more for approval and a $200 fee), national gun licensing, “red flag” laws that let judges take away people’s guns without a hearing, background checks on the private transfer of guns, and bans on some semi-automatic firearms that happen to look like military weapons.

Gun control is very high on the list of things that Joe Biden wants to get accomplished during the next four years.

So like I said, if it isn’t this bill, it will be another one that is similar.

They are coming for your 2nd Amendment, and they aren’t going to stop until they get what they want.

Meanwhile, this is all happening at a time when murder rates all across America are going through the roof

“Homicide rates were higher during every month of 2020 relative to rates from the previous year,” the report states, calling the 30 percent surge “a large and troubling increase that has no modern precedent.”

We have never seen major city murder rates jump by an average of 30 percent in a single year.

Things are getting really crazy out there, and many believe that 2021 will be even worse.

For almost a year, there has been civil unrest in our cities on an almost nightly basis.  As I write this, civil unrest has erupted in Rochester, New York.  We live at a time when rioting, looting, arson and vandalism have become commonplace, and the senseless violence that we have witnessed so far is just the leading edge of the storm.

Millions of Americans can see what is happening to our society and they are quite concerned.  2020 was a record year for gun sales in the United States, and dealers have reported that demand is extremely strong so far in 2021 as well.

The Democrats do not like this one bit, and they are going to do their very best to put a stop to it.

Please let your friends, family and contacts know about H.R. 127, because an all-out attack on the 2nd Amendment is coming, but at this point most people are not even aware that it is about to happen.

COVID Response Sparks Spike In Americans’ Anxiety & Depression

This article was originally published by Tyler Durden at ZeroHedge.

Aside from killing nearly 400,000 Americans to date and wreaking havoc on the country’s economy, Statista’s Felix Richter notes that the COVID-19 pandemic is also taking a heavy toll on mental health.

That’s according to data compiled by the U.S. Census Bureau and the National Center for Health Statistics, showing that more than 4 in 10 U.S. adults had developed symptoms of depression or anxiety by the end of 2020, a sharp increase over the results of a comparable survey conducted in the first half of 2019.

Infographic: Pandemic Causes Spike in Anxiety & Depression | Statista

You will find more infographics at Statista

The latest findings are derived from the Household Pulse Survey, which has been launched to produce data on the social and economic impacts of COVID-19 on American households. A total of 60,000 Americans were surveyed about their mental health between December 9 and 21, asked to report how often they have felt down, depressed, hopeless, or anxious in the last week, how often they have been unable to stop worrying or shown little interest or pleasure in doing things – all symptoms that have been shown to be associated with diagnoses of generalized anxiety disorder or major depressive disorder.

As the chart above shows, the share of respondents showing signs of anxiety or depression has nearly quadrupled compared to results obtained before the pandemic. As hundreds of thousands have died and millions have lost their jobs, Americans are facing a plethora of uncertainties with respect to their and their families’ health and financial wellbeing, worries which are only exacerbated when dealt with alone amid a time of social distancing.

christian Commentary CORRUPTION Crime Depression Economic Crisis Intelwars Life Has Value Moral Crisis New York New York City Politics The Importance Of Teaching Values To Our Children

When We Teach Our Kids That Life Has No Value, This Is How They Act…

The endless chaos in our streets is directly related to how we have been raising our children for the past couple of decades.  Bad beliefs lead to bad actions, and we have been teaching our kids values that are fundamentally flawed.  In particular, our children are endlessly taught that life has no value in a multitude of ways.  They view thousands of murders on television and in the movies as they grow up, the news glorifies politicians that tell them that it is a good thing to slaughter the unborn, and western nations are increasingly embracing the idea that older people should be willing to ask for the “plug to be pulled” once their “usefulness” is over.  Throughout their lives, our kids are trained to believe that they evolved from animals and that there is nothingness after they die, and the logical conclusion of such a worldview is that the period of time between birth and death is rather meaningless.

If life has no value and our existence is essentially meaningless, you might as well do whatever you feel like doing because tomorrow is not guaranteed for any of us.

Sadly, millions upon millions of our young people have adopted such an outlook at this point, and so we shouldn’t be surprised that many of them are completely out of control.

Yesterday, I wrote about how murder rates are absolutely skyrocketing all over the nation.  You might think that this is a bad thing, but if life has no value, what is the big deal?

Today, many Americans were absolutely shocked when dozens of wild youths stopped a BMW on Fifth Avenue in New York City and began brutally attacking it

Max Torgovnick, 36, was driving in the BMW with his mom when they encountered the large group of youngsters biking up Fifth Avenue near 21st Street.

The pair had just dropped off a holiday donation to a local charity when their vehicle was viciously set upon.

According to eyewitnesses, the teens began blocking traffic and started to attack the luxury car.

Shocking video shows several teens punching the BMW’s windows and stomping on its hood.

That account really doesn’t capture the true horror of the assault.

To really appreciate what happened, you really need to watch video footage of the incident.

If those young people valued the lives of the two people inside that BMW, they would have not attacked them like that.

But they don’t, and the reason they don’t is because the system raised them to not have any respect for life.

This kind of thing doesn’t happen everywhere on the planet.

For example, in Belarus young people are dressing up in formal attire and are attending extremely elaborate balls instead of torching buildings and terrorizing their fellow citizens.

So who is more civilized, them or us?

Of course we have been trying to undermine the government of Belarus for years, and our stated goal is to replace it with a form of government that is more similar to our own because we want them to be more like us.

But maybe our goal should be to become more like them.

And the chaos in our streets is only going to intensify as our economy continues to deteriorate.  According to one recent report, we just witnessed the largest one year increase in poverty in this country that has ever been recorded

Due to the coronavirus pandemic’s decimation of the labor market and the months-long expiration of benefits from the government relief package keeping families afloat, the poverty rate in the United States surged from 9.3% in June to 11.7% in November, according to a report released Wednesday by analysts at the University of Chicago and the University of Notre Dame, creating the biggest increase in a single year since the government began tracking poverty in 1960.

Sadly, as our system continues to melt down it is going to fuel even more civil unrest.  The more desperate people become, the worse the violence in the streets is going to get.

Honestly, I don’t want to be anywhere around the hordes of young people that have been rioting, looting and burning buildings almost all year long.

If our founders could see us today, they would wonder how things could have possibly gone so wrong.

Of course there are still people out there that have solid values and that are trying to do the right thing.  For instance, I was greatly encouraged when I came across a news story about a homeless man that ran into a burning animal shelter to save the cats and dogs that were trapped inside

A homeless man is being hailed as a hero after he risked his life to rescue several dogs and cats from a fire at an animal shelter.

The man, Keith Walker, rushed inside the W-Underdogs shelter after a fire broke out Dec. 18, the facility said in a Facebook post.

“Tonight we thank our guardian angels. The homeless man that ran into our burning house and rescued our animals,” it said. “Our animals are safe and thanks to the incredible response from the community, everyone is settled and safe warm and secure.”

I wish that our society would produce more people like Keith Walker, but it doesn’t because the way that we raise kids these days is completely and totally messed up.

Instead, we are producing lots of self-centered idiots like this well-known divorce lawyer

Cindy Liquori, 55, was dog-sitting at her mother’s home in Windsor Locks on Friday when her husband, 59-year-old John Liquori, gunned her down in her sleep, police sources told the Hartford Courant.

John Liquori then lay next to his wife and shot himself to death, according to the source.

John Liquori probably believed that suicide would be an easy way out because he was taught from a very young age to believe that there is nothing after death.

But instead, he quickly found out that he had a date with the big divorce court in the sky.

What we teach our kids when they are young really matters, because it will heavily influence the decisions that they make for the rest of their lives.

As a nation, we have been failing our children for a very long time, and now there is chaos in our streets as a result.

For 55 Percent Of Americans, 2020 Has Been “A Personal Financial

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The End of the American Dream.

One of the big reasons why so many Americans are angry about the size of the “stimulus payments” in the COVID relief bill that Congress just passed is because this year has truly been a “financial disaster” for millions upon millions of people.  More Americans than ever before are just barely scraping by from month to month, and $600 is just not going to go very far.

In 2020, small businesses have been getting slaughtered by the thousands, millions of Americans are in imminent danger of being evicted from their homes, and more than 70 million new claims for unemployment benefits have been filed since the COVID pandemic first started.  The U.S. has plunged into a brutal economic depression, and most of the country is desperately hoping that the federal government will do more to bail them out.

Of course, the truth is that we can’t actually afford another 900 billion dollar “stimulus package” on top of all the other “stimulus packages” that were already passed this year.

We are already 27.5 trillion dollars in debt, and all of this reckless spending is putting us on a highway to hyperinflation.

But most Americans don’t really care that we are literally destroying our national finances.  Most people are in desperate need of money, and the vast majority of them want checks from the government as soon as possible.

A OnePoll survey that was just released asked Americans about the current state of their finances, and that survey discovered that a whopping 55 percent of us consider this year to be “a personal financial disaster”

While there is no question 2020 has been an unparalleled health challenge, many are not losing sight of how devastating the year was for their wallets as well. A new survey finds over half of Americans (55%) consider 2020 a personal financial disaster.

That is over half the country!

And for those that are employed, that same survey found that 62 percent are planning to take on a second job in 2021 in an attempt to make ends meet…

Among employed respondents (59% in total), seven in 10 say they need a raise at their job in order to make ends meet. Sixty-two percent plan on taking on a second job in 2021 to meet their financial goals next year.

That number can’t possibly be correct, can it?

Of course there aren’t that many jobs to go around.  Already, there are millions upon millions of Americans that can’t find a “first job”.  As I discussed the other day, we have got unemployed workers sleeping in lawn chairs or sleeping in their own vehicles because that is all they can afford at this point.

We haven’t seen anything like this since the Great Depression of the 1930s, and this latest wave of lockdowns is making things even worse.

With so many Americans financially hurting, it shouldn’t be a surprise that millions of households are getting behind on their rent and mortgage payments

One-in-seven renters with family incomes from $35,000 to $100,000 were not current on their rent in November. The overwhelming majority of these renters – 79.9% — expected to face eviction within two months. Similarly, 9.6% of homeowners with a mortgage were not current on their mortgage in November. And 56.1% of those homeowners expected they will be foreclosed on in the subsequent two months.

Congress keeps extending moratoriums on rent and mortgage payments, and that has been financially devastating for landlords and mortgage holders.

At some point, the moratoriums must end, and when that happens we are going to see a tsunami of evictions that will be absolutely unprecedented in U.S. history.

Meanwhile, many Americans are going very deep into debt in a desperate attempt to keep themselves afloat financially…

More than one-third of households with incomes between $35,000 and $100,000 borrowed from credit cards, other loans as well as from friends and family to pay for their current expenses in November. Soon, debt payments will come due, burdening families that still suffer from long-term unemployment and added health care costs. This could mean rising credit default rates as well as spillovers of economic pain to other households, from who people borrowed to pay their bills.

If economic conditions were to “return to normal” in 2021, most Americans would be able to weather this financial storm just like they did in 2008 and 2009.

But things are not going to return to normal next year.

Instead, this new wave of lockdowns is going to cause thousands of more businesses to close and will force millions more Americans on to the unemployment rolls.

What we are doing to our small businesses is absolutely criminal.  At this point, small business revenues are down more than 32 percent nationwide since the month of January

Small business revenues have also taken a hit nationwide. The national average is a decrease of 32.1 percent in small business revenue since January. Washington D.C. had the worst loss in the nation at 61.6 percent. Oregon small businesses lost 16.3 percent. Illinois small businesses saw 39.2 percent decline in revenue since January.

Every day, more small businesses are closing up shop permanently.

Millions of hopes and dreams have been brutally crushed, and there is nothing that our politicians can say or do that will bring those businesses back to life.

If you have lost a business or a job this year, then that would definitely qualify as one of the “personal financial disasters” of 2020.

And as you have seen in this article, you are far from alone.

Most of the nation is deeply hurting, and the road ahead is only going to get more challenging.

In the short-term, “stimulus payments” from the federal government will definitely help tens of millions of suffering Americans.

But of course every additional dollar that our government borrows and spends just makes our long-term problems even worse.

A national economic meltdown has begun, and our politicians will try lots of things to mitigate the damage, but all of their “solutions” will only help temporarily.

This is going to be an exceedingly dark chapter for America, but most Americans still do not understand the true nature of the crisis that is now unfolding all around us.

Coronavirus suicides Covid suicides Depression Intelwars isolation Japan Suicide

Japan had more suicides in October than all of the COVID-19 deaths during the pandemic

Japan recently released somber statistics regarding the number of suicides in the country, which found more suicides in one month than the total coronavirus deaths during the entire COVID-19 pandemic.

In Japan, suicides in October surged to 2,153, according to a report from the National Police Agency. This is a 39.9% increase compared to the same period in 2019. Suicides by Japanese women spiked by 82.6% in October, compared to a 21.3% increase in suicides by men, as reported by Nippon.

October marked the fourth straight month of increased suicides in the country. Thus far in 2020, there have been 17,219 suicides in Japan between January and October. In 2019, Japan had 19,959 suicides, the first time it was lower than the 20,000 since officials began tracking and recording suicide data in 1978.

The 2,153 suicides in October is more than the 2,051 total coronavirus deaths in Japan since the country started keeping track in mid-February.

Experts believe the isolation brought on by coronavirus lockdowns, other pandemic-related restrictions, and economic uncertainty has exacerbated mental health issues this year.

“We didn’t even have a lockdown, and the impact of Covid is very minimal compared to other countries … but still we see this big increase in the number of suicides,” Michiko Ueda, an associate professor at Waseda University in Tokyo and an expert on suicides told CNN. “That suggests other countries might see a similar or even bigger increase in the number of suicides in the future.”

“We need to seriously confront reality,” chief government spokesman Katsunobu Kato said last week while announcing new initiatives to help people through suicide hotlines and social media outreach.

Japanese authorities increased suicide prevention funding by an additional $10 million, raising the total budget to $24 million.

In the United States, experts found that tens of thousands of people in nursing homes “have died from neglect and sorrow related to the pandemic,” according to a report from the Associated Press.

“Interviews with dozens of people across the country reveal swelling numbers of less clear-cut deaths that doctors believe have been fueled not by neglect but by a mental state plunged into despair by prolonged isolation listed on some death certificates as ‘failure to thrive,'” the report stated.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that more than one quarter of young adults in the U.S. considered suicide in June. CDC Director Robert Redfield said in July, “There has been another cost that we’ve seen, particularly in high schools. We’re seeing, sadly, far greater suicides now than we are deaths from COVID.”

Our COVID Police State Wants To Take Thanksgiving And Christmas Away From You Too

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The Economic Collapse Blog.

Haven’t they taken enough away from us already?  The deeply oppressive lockdowns that were instituted earlier this year plunged us into the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression of the 1930s, caused the cancellation of thousands upon thousands of important events, and sent the suicide rate absolutely skyrocketing.

Once those lockdowns were lifted the American people were greatly relieved, but now our COVID police state is back for more.  As I have been documenting over the last several days, new lockdowns are being instituted all over the country right now, and even our most cherished holidays are being targeted.

Let me start by discussing an interview that CNN’s Jake Tapper just conducted with Anthony Fauci.  Most Americans had assumed that once a vaccine was widely distributed that we wouldn’t need masks or social distancing anymore.

Well, according to Fauci that is not the case at all

Jake Tapper said, “Once somebody has been immunized … Once the process is complete, does that mean they can take off their mask, don’t have to social distance, and go about their lives as before?”

Fauci said, “I would recommend that is not the case. I would recommend you have an added area of protection. Obviously, with 90 plus percent effective vaccine, you could feel much more confident, but I would recommend to people to not abandon all public health measures just because you’ve been vaccinated.”

As I have repeatedly warned my readers, they intend to change the way that we live permanently.

During that same interview, they were discussing a timeline for vaccine distribution, and Tapper blurted this out: “Christmas is probably not gonna be possible.”

In other words, Americans should not plan to have a normal Christmas this year because we are going to be expected to stay home, wear masks, and keep members of our extended family away.

Of course, Thanksgiving is a lot closer than Christmas, and our COVID overlords are telling us that we can’t have a normal Thanksgiving either.  For example, this is what the head of the CDC is saying

U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield held a call with the nation’s governors on Tuesday. CNN obtained audio of the chat, in which Redfield said: “What we’re seeing as the increasing threat right now is actually acquisition of infection through small household gatherings… Particularly with Thanksgiving coming up, we think it’s really important to stress the vigilance of these continued mitigation steps in the household setting.”

Needless to say, many of our top politicians are going to fall right in line with the directives that our “health authorities” have issued.  For example, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has issued new restrictions for the city of Chicago which begin on Monday

The order, which begins Monday, extends through Thanksgiving festivities. Residents are “strongly advised” to not have guests in their homes outside of essential workers — even family and close friends.

“Chicago has reached a critical point in the second surge of COVID-19, demanding that we undertake this multi-faceted and comprehensive effort to stop the virus in its tracks,” said Mayor Lori Lightfoot in the release.

At least Lightfoot’s order is not as draconian as the mandate that California Governor Gavin Newsom has ordered all Californians to follow this Thanksgiving.

If you can believe it, Newsom has decided to limit Thanksgiving to a two hour “outdoor event”

Celebrities have taken to social media to slam California Governor Gavin Newsom’s ‘ridiculously unenforceable’ Thanksgiving crackdown that bans singing and shouting and limits the holiday to a two-hour outdoor event.

‘If my Aunt comes over, can I throw her a slice of turkey from the window?’ mocked actor Rob Schneider as he blasted the ‘Emperor Newsom’.

The good news is that the American people are sick and tired of having their rights taken away and are starting to push back against absurd restrictions such as these.

The bad news is that the new lockdowns that are being instituted all over the U.S. will inevitably crash our economy again.

If they last long enough, some industries may be almost entirely destroyed.  For example, even before these new lockdowns we were being told that it would be a miracle if half of the hotels in New York City survive this pandemic

According to Vijay Dandapani, chief executive of the Hotel Association of New York City, if half the city’s 640 hotels survive it will be a “great” outcome. While occupancy rates have recovered from their worst point in April where occupancy was down more than 60% year on year, they remain 20% lower than for the same month in 2019, a level which means much of the debt backing the properties will be impaired (i.e., default). Should New York impose a new round of draconian lockdowns, it will only get worse.

But of course there are some businesses that are booming during this time.

For instance, psychologists and therapists are extremely busy treating those that are “feeling lonely and depressed”

Business is booming for Maria Mir. Under normal circumstances, she takes little time off in November and December; the holidays are her busy season. But this is 2020. Nothing is normal. And everyone seems to need her at once.

Mir is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She’s used to patients feeling lonely and depressed as Thanksgiving and Christmas near. But “this particular time is different,” she says. “Even people who haven’t felt lonely in the past are now feeling that isolation.”

This is yet another example that shows that elections really matter.

For years, the American people have been voting for psychotic control freaks all over the nation, and so now we shouldn’t be surprised that they are actually acting like psychotic control freaks during a major crisis.

We are being told that this is going to be a very “dark winter”, and just like we witnessed earlier this year many Americans are feverishly stocking up on food and other basic goods…

Concerns that rising cases will encourage people to buy in bulk and stock up on basic goods has prompted major grocery chains to take pre-emptive action and limit purchases.

Kroger, the largest grocery chain in the U.S., has imposed purchase limits on essential goods like bath tissue, paper towels, disinfecting wipes and hand soap, according to Fox Business.

If you have not done so already, I would very much encourage you to get stocked up as well.

These are such uncertain times, and I have a feeling that things are going to get even crazier in the weeks ahead.

If the case numbers keep rising, the restrictions placed upon us are just going to become even more cumbersome, and it definitely appears that we are in for a very rough start in 2021.

Depression division Donald Trump elections Emotional emotionally crippling Headline News Intelwars Joe Biden political division repulicans Ronald Reagan selections States Winner

Either Way, This Election Will Be The Biggest Emotional Blow That America Has Suffered In Decades

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The End of the American Dream.

In my entire lifetime, I have never seen Americans so emotionally invested in the outcome of a presidential election.  Yes, things always get intense as we approach Election Day, but this time around is different.

There are many Democrats that do not even want to imagine another four years under Trump.  In fact, for many of them, it is literally the worst thing that they could possibly imagine ever happening.  But for many Republicans, a Trump loss would be equally as devastating.  Not since the days of Ronald Reagan have we ever seen Republicans adore a president the way that they love Trump, and a loss would be emotionally crippling for millions of them.

As if the coronavirus pandemic wasn’t giving Americans enough anxiety already, you may have heard there’s a presidential election this November. With political divisions reaching historical highs, a survey finds a majority of the country believe their most stressful day of 2020 hasn’t even arrived yet. The poll examining mental health reveals 55 percent of Americans think Election Day 2020 will be the most stress-filled day of their lives.

There is so much at stake for both sides.

Once a winner is officially declared, one side will be jubilant, but the other will instantly plunge into deep despair.

As this election has drawn to a close, I have been amazed at the incredible outpouring of support that we have seen for President Trump all over the nation.  If you don’t understand what I am talking about, just watch this videothis video, and this video.  I have never seen anything even close to this, and I have been following politics very closely for decades.  In the old days, it was always tough just to get a few people to hold signs on a street corner, and so I was absolutely blown away by a 96-mile show of support for President Trump.

It is a very rare politician that can inspire that sort of enthusiasm, but if Trump is not able to win all of that emotion is going to come crashing down like a tsunami.

I personally know so many conservatives, patriots, and evangelicals that are all-in emotionally for this election, and I am deeply concerned about what will happen if Joe Biden emerges with a victory.  It would literally be the deepest emotional blow that conservatives, patriots, and evangelicals have experienced since the days of World War II, and we could potentially see millions of them plunge into a very deep state of emotional depression.

On the other hand, if Trump wins it will literally seem like the end of the world for many on the left.

There are some that have already talked about moving out of the country, but others insist that life simply would not be worth living anywhere as long as Trump is in the White House.  I honestly believe that we could see a dramatic spike in attempted suicides following the election, and mental health officials will need to be on high alert.

Of course, many others will likely take out their frustrations by resorting to violence, and that could lead to an eruption of civil unrest like we have never seen before.

As I write this article, businesses in major cities all across the U.S. are boarding up their windows, and law enforcement authorities are preparing for the worst.  In fact, Fox News recently reported that officials in New York, Chicago, Miami, Portland, Seattle, Orlando, Minneapolis, and Philadelphia have all been making preparations for potential post-election violence.

At this hour, most Democrats want to believe that the national polls that show Joe Biden with a huge lead are accurate, but there is no forgetting what happened in 2016.

They were so sure that they would win that election, but then a “Trump miracle” in the northern states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin changed everything.

And in 2020, the Trump campaign has been working very hard to possibly add Minnesota to that list

Minnesota Democrats estimate that as many as 250,000 white residents who didn’t go to college—the heart of Trump’s base—weren’t registered to vote in 2016. Republicans are taking pains to find them. While Democrats in the state have largely suspended door-to-door campaigning because of the pandemic, Republicans have kept at it. Last week, volunteers knocked on more than 130,000 doors in the state, a campaign official told me. “This is the largest organization that we’ve seen a Republican put into this state, in terms of advertising dollars, principal visits, and staff on the ground,” Ken Martin, the chair of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, told me.

If Trump is able to pull off another miracle, it will crush Democrats emotionally like no other presidential election we have ever seen.

But if Trump is not able to pull off another miracle, it will crush Republicans emotionally like no other presidential election we have ever seen.

Either way, this is going to be a devastating emotional blow for tens of millions of Americans, and the emotional fallout will last for years.

If you are on the winning side in this election, there will definitely be a temptation to rub it in the faces of those that have lost.

But that temptation must be resisted because that is not the proper response.

There are going to be people that you know that are deeply, deeply hurting, and they are going to need love and compassion to get through the grieving process.

If we are ever going to be united as a country ever again, we have got to learn to love those that we deeply disagree with.

Right now, most Democrats are convinced that Trump is going to lose, and most Republicans are convinced that Trump is going to win.

And the truth is that the races in the most critical swing states are very close and this election could still go either way.

In the end, one side is in for the emotional letdown of a lifetime, and I don’t know if our country will ever be the same again after this is all over.

NOT AGAIN: Stocks In CORRECTION TIME!

This article was contributed by Portfolio Wealth Global.

Obviously, the Democrats have a VESTED INTEREST in making sure the Republicans get down ON THEIR KNEES before a stimulus package is approved since markets would be negatively impacted until it happens.

They want them to beg.

What’s going to happen in the next THREE WEEKS is that you’re going to see what going for all the marbles means!

All of the skeletons, dirty laundry, and smears possible will BE IMPLEMENTED.

Courtesy: Zerohedge.com

PortfolioWealthGlobal.com believes that you’re ABOUT TO SEE what’s called a RECESSION-FEAR sentiment kick in, since everyone has now BEEN CONVINCED that there’s no recession in sight, so any vaccine delay or SECOND WAVE of infections and hospitalization bumps will BE DETRIMENTAL — investors have made a killing since March, so there will also be profit-taking!

Here’s what we think is most important of all: there will BE VOLATILITY, maybe even for a few months, until the FINAL TALLY is determined and we have an officially confirmed president.

In our opinion, because of Covid-19, the economy is moving towards certain industries, which will get SUPER-STRONG. We actually will have a new report out; the PREVIOUS FOUR (2, 3, and 4) have been tremendous successes.

Do you know who cares most about equities? WEALTHY PEOPLE!

Do you know who cares about jobs? THE REST OF US!

I want to tell you that the best thing you can do is find out how to take YOUR SKILLS and capitalize on them, since this recovery is going to offer plenty of opportunities.

The coronavirus has shown me how limited governments are at solving personalized issues. Everything is either comprehensive and broad-based and just inefficient.

So, what are my notes to you?

  1. If you’re STILL EMPLOYED, see what more you can do for your employer. Begin to get things done with HIGHER QUALITY and come up with ideas for improvement.

Go the extra mile so much that he thinks you’re A CHANGED MAN.

Think and then act as if the business is yours!

You’ll see results; in fact, you won’t believe the outcomes of a CHANGED ATTITUDE and approach.

  1. If you’re BETWEEN JOBS, capitalize on this flexibility. Look at things close by, but this might also be an opportunity to get creative, move to other areas of the country, change careers or work from home.

As much as possible, keep your OPTIONS OPEN.

  1. If everything is fine, KEEP AT IT!

The world has changed; live accordingly.

20 Things That You Must Believe In Order To Convince Yourself That Everything Is Going To Turn Out Okay Somehow

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The Economic Collapse Blog.

Despite everything that we have already been through in 2020, the dominant narrative in our society right now is that everything is going to be just fine once we get past our temporary problems.  So many people that I hear from can’t understand why I am so “negative” about the future because they are completely convinced that really great days are just around the corner.

As odd as this may sound, we are seeing this sort of wild optimism among both Democrats and Republicans, Christians and atheists, capitalists and communists.  Of course, about half the country will have their optimistic hopes for the future brutally crushed by the results of the upcoming election, but we aren’t there yet.  For now, both sides are absolutely convinced that they are going to win, and both sides are envisioning a wonderful new era for our nation in which their values reign triumphant.

If only things were that easy.

The truth is that many of our largest problems have been steadily growing for decades, and they aren’t going to magically disappear just because a particular candidate wins an election.  Our debt levels are absolutely exploding, our economy has plunged into a depression, there is widespread civil unrest in our streets, our nation is more divided than it has ever been in my entire lifetime, and our society is literally coming apart at the seams as just about every form of evil that you can possibly imagine is growing rapidly all around us.

But there are a whole lot of people out there that want to stick their heads in the sand and pretend that everything is going to be just fine.

If you would like to be just like them, the following are 20 things that you must believe in order to convince yourself that everything is going to turn out okay somehow…

#1 “Being 27 trillion dollars in debt is not a problem.  We can go into as much debt as we want, and future generations of Americans won’t mind at all that we are dumping all of our bills on them.”

#2 “The fact that the Federal Reserve creates trillions of dollars out of thin air whenever a major crisis erupts doesn’t really matter.  We can debase the reserve currency of the world as much as we want and the rest of the globe will continue to use it and the inflation rate in this country will never get out of control.”

#3 “Antifa is just an idea, and all of the rioting, looting, and violence will somehow magically come to an end after the upcoming election.”

#4 “When I see people smashing windows, setting buildings on fire and shooting at police officers, I just remember to remind myself that those are really just peaceful protesters.”

#5 “It is perfectly okay that a former intern for Joe Biden will moderate the next presidential debate.  He has promised that he will be perfectly neutral, and I believe him.”

#6 “Kamala Harris will never become president if Joe Biden wins the election because Joe Biden is so strong and vigorous that he could easily make it through two terms.”

#7 “The Democrats would never pack the Supreme Court because Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are way too decent to ever allow that to happen.”

#8 “Once the election is over, the big social media companies will give us our freedom of speech back because that is the right thing to do.”

#9 “It makes perfect sense that the stock market has soared to record highs while the real economy has plunged into a horrifying depression.  This isn’t a bubble, and stock prices will just keep going up indefinitely.”

#10 “It is perfectly okay that 40 percent of U.S. children are being born outside of marriage.  America can certainly prosper without strong marriages and strong families because so many other great civilizations have shown that it can be done.”

#11 “Even though study after study has shown that antibodies fade very rapidly and that any immunity is very short-lived, a vaccine will save us from this pandemic.”

#12 “Once this virus has been eradicated, they won’t make us wear masks anymore, and they certainly wouldn’t try to force people to take vaccines if they don’t want them.”

#13 “Now that everyone has seen how much chaos this pandemic has caused, evil people would never purposely release more deadly viruses because they wouldn’t want to kick us while we are down.”

#14 “There is no need to worry that our relationships with Russia and China have gone down the tubes because our military is so strong that nobody would ever dare getting into a military conflict with us.”

#15 “Even though the head of the UN World Food Program is warning that there will be famines of ‘biblical proportions’, I am sure that any food shortages are just temporary and everyone in the world will have plenty of food to eat in 2021 and beyond.”

#16 “More than 60 million Americans have filed new claims for unemployment benefits this year, but most of those jobs will quickly come back, and we are on the verge of the greatest era of economic prosperity in U.S. history.”

#17 “The rapid rise in crime rates in cities all over the nation is just temporary.  I am sure that things will go back to normal in 2021.”

#18 “We can ignore the hundreds of earthquakes that are shaking the west coast, because ‘the Big One’ probably won’t happen for thousands of years.”

#19 “The fact that tens of millions of Americans will be mailing in their ballots won’t cause any issues at all.  All of the ballots will be counted quickly, efficiently, and accurately, and the American people will remain perfectly calm while we wait for days or even weeks to find out the winner of the presidential election.”

#20 “Even though more than 60 million children have already been aborted, and even though every form of evil that you can possibly imagine is exploding all around us, there will never be any serious consequences for our actions and the greatest days for America are still ahead of us even though we completely refuse to change our ways.”

breaking down Civility cold Conspiracy Fact and Theory Coronavirus COVID-19 Crime Depression dollar crash economic collapse Emergency Preparedness falling apart Families Headline News Humanity Intelwars looting plandemic Prepare Respect scamdemic Society Treatment Violence

Our Society Is In The Process Of Breaking Down All Around Us

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The End of the American Dream.

Have you noticed that people don’t treat one another with the same level of respect and civility that they once did?  Everywhere I look, people are treating one another badly, and this should greatly alarm all of us.

Perhaps we can blame some of this on the pandemic because the restrictions that authorities have implemented around the nation have definitely put people in a bad mood.  And of course, the fact that this is an election year is certainly not helping things.  But I am seeing people that are supposedly on the same side treating each other with extreme contempt.  Conservatives are fighting with conservatives, liberals are fighting with liberals, Christians are fighting with Christians, and over the past year, I have been seeing families break up all over the place.  Hearts are growing so cold, and all of the strife and discord that we are witnessing makes me wonder what things will be like when economic conditions in this nation really start falling apart.

There is so much anger and frustration in the air right now, and we are definitely seeing this being reflected in the crime numbers.  For example, it is being reported that burglaries in San Francisco have risen 42 percent so far this year…

In San Francisco, burglaries are up 42% in the first 9 months of this year, compared to the same time period in 2019. In the Northern District, which includes Pacific Heights, the Marina, North Beach, and Cow Hollow, it’s up 59%. In the Mission, 79% and in the Richmond up 50%.

In some neighborhoods, the same criminals are returning over and over again, and things have gotten so bad that one local resident recently admitted that she “cannot sleep at night anymore”

Thieves are returning to the same homes and neighborhoods within the same week, sometimes only one day apart.

“It’s a big wave of crime right now. it’s home burglaries and this is scary. I cannot sleep at night anymore,” said Iryna Gorb.

I can’t even imagine what it must be like lying in bed wondering if this will be the night when the burglars will return again.

In addition to home invasions, San Francisco is seeing an alarming number of stores being hit as well

And it’s not just happening to homes. Video from a Pacific Heights’ Food Market a week and a half ago shows a suspect’s seen setting up a blow torch on the store’s glass.

When it doesn’t budge, he comes back and tries a throwing a planter to break in.

We are seeing similar scenes play out all over America on a nightly basis these days, and it is only going to get worse in the months ahead.

Over on the east coast, New York City has also seen a 42 percent rise in burglaries so far in 2020, and the number of shootings is up 91 percent

Year-to-date, there has been a 91% spike in citywide shooting incidents, a 42% increase in burglaries and a 33% decrease in hate crimes.

Considering the fact that hundreds of thousands of people have already moved out of New York City, there shouldn’t be that many people left to shoot, but these are the numbers that authorities are giving us.

And sometimes people are being murdered without a gun being used at all.  I have to admit that I was greatly disturbed when I recently heard what happened to one man on a Manhattan subway platform

A man has died after he was repeatedly stabbed in the legs following a dispute on a lower Manhattan subway station in New York City on Saturday, officials revealed.

The attack unfolded just before 3pm on the northbound J/Z train platform in Chambers Street Station, near to City Hall, where the victim, in his 20s, had been ensnared in an argument with another man, said to be in his 30s.

How cold does your heart have to be to attack someone like that?

Sadly, acts of extreme violence are happening in our major cities so frequently now that they barely make a blip in the news.  In the middle of the country, murders and shootings in Chicago are both up over 50 percent in 2020, and it is being reported that “dozens of children” under the age of 10 have been shot over the last nine months…

The Windy City – like others across the country – has seen an uptick in violent crimes this summer amid the coronavirus pandemic, mass layoffs and nationwide unrest. Murders and shootings are up 52% from the same time last year, according to police data, and dozens of children under 10 years old have been shot, some fatally.

This is what America has become.

We have become a place where children under the age of 10 are being shot on a regular basis.

Most of us depend on the police to protect us from this sort of violence, but they are being shot on a regular basis too.  Here is just one example that was in the news today

A shooting over the weekend left one Myrtle Beach police officer dead and another injured, according to a news release from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

The officers were responding to a domestic violence call Saturday night. Authorities say shots were exchanged between them and a suspect after a confrontation.

The thin veneer of civilization that we all take for granted on a daily basis is steadily disappearing, and it isn’t just happening in the big cities.

Some of the worst crimes of all are happening in less populated areas, and if you doubt this just check out this example.

For decades, we have been raising children in an environment in which traditional moral values have been relegated to the fringes of society, and so we should not be surprised that our society is now literally coming apart at the seams all around us.

And if you think what we have experienced so far is bad, just wait until we get a few more years down the road.

Chaos and violence in our streets has become the norm, and our society now teaches us that it is perfectly okay to hate one another.

Treating others the way that you want to be treated is such a simple concept, but it works.

Unfortunately, most of the population has rejected the simple values that once united our nation, and so our society will continue to fall apart all around us as we plunge into a deeply uncertain future.

bail out Central Banks Conspiracy Fact and Theory Corporations COVID-19 crash debt load Depression Destruction economic terrorism Emergency Preparedness experts Fed chairman Financial System Forecasting GDP global wealth Gold Government greatest crash Headline News individual Intelwars Metals National Debt Precious Metals Silver slowing system unsustainable

Fw: Is the GREATEST CRASH Ever COMING?

This article was contributed by James Davis with Future Money Trends.

In 2008, when the markets plunged by 47%, central banks and the government HAD A CHOICE: allow debts and companies to run the normal course of bankruptcy or INFLATE AWAY by intervening in the process. The decision to bail out the financial system’s most powerful corporations, which were the banks, PAVED THE WAY for the unprecedented COVID-19 response and the way interest rates operate globally in 2020.

The Federal Reserve is an institution that COLLECTS DATA from innumerable sources and makes analytical decisions based on its lawful mandate and risk tolerance.

Failure to act in the Great Depression of 1929 has played a major role in the thought processes of FED chairmen over the decades.

A lack of adequate response in 1929 is what historians blame the central bank for. When there’s a monetary system that pegs gold ounces to the supply of government currency, public trust is measured by their ability to convert notes to precious metals. When there’s a STRICTLY CREDIT system in place, as we have right now, gold is marginalized in the eyes of the public.

Only 0.5% of global wealth is held in gold; most don’t care to learn about it and some EVEN SCORN it as a thing of the past, yet it is trading near all-time highs and has been a TOP-TIER performer in the 21st century.

In our opinion, gold is becoming LESS VOLATILE and more of a MUST-OWN asset since the ETFs have made it a thing of comfort to have exposure to.

In my networking group, which I highly respect, we had the following question raised in light of the comparisons made by the CHART BELOW between 2020 and 1929:

Courtesy: Zerohedge.com

The question: Is the GREATEST CRASH on record coming?

We’ve gathered answers from billionaires and money managers who are MARKET VETERANS, along with large hedge fund managers. The result? NO MARKET CRASH is predicted!

I want to go over the reasons behind this since many feel like THE EARTH IS SHAKING beneath them and they’ve been living under that premise for years!

The Internet is FILLED WITH forecasts of doom, -80% wealth destructions and the worst economic conditions in modern history, all based on the chart below of the UNSUSTAINABLE NATIONAL DEBT.

Courtesy: Zerohedge.com

Many people can’t sleep at night, worrying about the DEBT LOAD of the federal government, so I’d like to DECONSTRUCT this threat and bring it down to the level of the individual.

The United States’ GDP isn’t growing as fast as its debts are, so the ratio between productivity and debt issuance is GETTING SMALLER, which is to say that it is unsustainable.

Is there a connection between this and the markets? NOT REALLY…

As you can see, total debt is ALWAYS GROWING (since 1971, that is), and even the feared DEBT/GDP ratio is growing along with it, yet because of zero interest rates, it’s actually VERY EASY to pay the interest on the debt, which is what the government does. On top of that, many of the LARGEST EXPENSES are social entitlements, so it can be argued that cutting back on those will MATERIALLY EASE the debt burden, though I can’t say that there’s political will to entice the baby boomers just yet.

The bottom line is that (1) companies are innovating LEFT AND RIGHT, which is what is moving the world forward, and (2) interest rates are so low that owning equities is ONE’S ONLY CHOICE!

Instead of thinking of a market crash, think about the RECORD-HIGH wealth gap!

This is really what the world has to fear because it drives social unrest and PERPETUATES POVERTY. The fact that there is NO CRASH is what makes poverty linger; the people at the bottom of the food chain don’t get to capitalize on the wealthy’s mistakes.

Fauci’s Warning: “Hunker Down” Over Winter, Second Lockdown Coming

Dr. Anthony Fauci alluded to a second lockdown, saying Americans need to “hunker down” this winter because COVID-19 is “not going to be easy.” This is all about control, as the mainstream media reports that coronavirus cases remain “unacceptably high” as schools and restaurants reopen, and flu season approaches.

We have already been warned that a “darkest winter” is in store for us, could that include another lockdown? Most likely. Prepare for it now, because autumn is quickly approaching. We have also already been told they are planning a second lockdown, so that might be something to at least make preparations for right now.

“We need to hunker down and get through this fall and winter because it’s not going to be easy,” Fauci said during a panel discussion with Harvard Medical School on Thursday according to Market Watch The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases drew on his experience (and fraud) battling the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the 1980s and 1990s, which began with a handful of cases before becoming a global pandemic that has caused tens of millions of deaths and infected more than 70 million people worldwide in the decades since. For an in-depth look at who Fauci really is, check out the documentary, Plandemic. This documentary has been heavily censored all over the internet but can be watched here.

The psychopath Fauci also warned that we should expect the worse, and not hold out hope that these tyrants will stop committing terrorism against us. “We’ve been through this before,” he said. “Don’t ever, ever underestimate the potential of the pandemic. And don’t try and look at the rosy side of things.”

“I keep looking at that curve, and I get more depressed and more depressed about the fact that we never really get down to the baseline that I’d like,” he said.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director Robert Redfield also recently warned that Americans are in for “the worst fall, from a public health perspective, we’ve ever had, citing concerns of a possible “twindemic” of COVID-19 cases and the seasonal flu both overwhelming hospitals. The flu has seen between 140,000 and 810,000 people hospitalized each year since 2010, and is responsible for between 12,000 and 61,000 deaths a year. –Market Watch

It sure looks like they are advertising and ramping up the propaganda for another lockdown.  Be alert, and prepared, but don’t fear. These tyrants feed off of your fear, and this COVID-19 scare is nothing more than that and their own statistics prove it.

All Of The Bad News In 2020 Is Causing A Shockingly High Number Of Americans To “Seriously Consider” Suicide

This is a very difficult article for me to write, but I definitely need to write it.  All over the country, people are considering suicide because of all the bad things that have happened this year, and things are only going to get even more challenging in 2021 and beyond.  This greatly grieves me, because suicide is never the answer to anything, and I wish that I could sit down individually with every person that is considering suicide and get them to understand this.  Our lives are meant to be lived with purpose, passion and great joy, and that doesn’t change when times get very difficult.  In fact, when challenging times come that is when bright lights are needed the most.

Personally, even though I am constantly writing about all of the hard things that are going on in the world, I am not down, I am not depressed, and I am not on any pills.  Instead, I am incredibly thankful for the gift of each new day, and there is no other time in all of human history that I would rather be living than right now.

But if you allow your life to be defined by the system that the global elite have established, and if you are living for what you can get from that system, then the years ahead are going to be exceedingly difficult for you because that system is failing.

Over the course of this year, the entire world has been thrown into a state of chaos by the coronavirus pandemic, the global economic collapse and the tremendous civil unrest that we have witnessed in major cities all over the planet.  According to a survey that the CDC recently conducted, all of this turmoil has had a dramatic affect on our mental health

At the end of June, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention surveyed almost 10,000 Americans on their mental health. They found symptoms of anxiety and depression were up sharply across the board between March and June, compared with the same time the previous year. And young people seemed to be the hardest-hit of any group.

Almost 11 percent of all respondents to that survey said they had “seriously considered” suicide in the past 30 days. For those ages 18 to 24, the number was 1 in 4 — more than twice as high.

Those numbers are absolutely heartbreaking.

The years between 18 and 24 should be some of the greatest years of your entire life, and yet one out of every four Americans in that age group “seriously considered” committing suicide in just one month.

That number alone is sufficient evidence to prove that our society has become a complete and utter failure.  The system that we are living in doesn’t give these young people any real meaning for their lives, it doesn’t provide them with hope, and it doesn’t give them any reason to be optimistic about the long-term future.

And the truth is that suicides have been on the rise for many years.  In fact, CDC numbers show that the suicide rate has been increasing “every year since 2007”

The suicide rate among young people was already at a record high before the pandemic, and had increased every year since 2007, according to a new analysis of CDC data released on Thursday by the gun control group Everytown for Gun Safety.

The new report, which came on World Suicide Prevention Day, notes that suicide was the second leading cause of death among young people after accidents.

Shouldn’t the fact that the suicide rate just keeps going up year after year after year be a giant red flag for all of us?

As a society, the direction that we are running is the exact opposite of where we should be going, and that greatly frustrates me.  Many of us keep sounding the alarm, but most people simply do not want to listen.

But if we keep going down the same path, many more Americans will fall into despair, depression and self-destructive behaviors.  Just like the CDC numbers that I discussed earlier, a recent KFF tracking poll found that Americans have had an exceedingly difficult time dealing with the events of this year…

In a KFF Tracking Poll conducted in mid-July, 53% of adults in the United States reported that their mental health has been negatively impacted due to worry and stress over the coronavirus. This is significantly higher than the 32% reported in March, the first time this question was included in KFF polling. Many adults are also reporting specific negative impacts on their mental health and wellbeing, such as difficulty sleeping (36%) or eating (32%), increases in alcohol consumption or substance use (12%), and worsening chronic conditions (12%), due to worry and stress over the coronavirus. As the pandemic wears on, ongoing and necessary public health measures expose many people to experiencing situations linked to poor mental health outcomes, such as isolation and job loss.

If we can’t even deal with the problems that we are facing right now, how in the world are we going to handle what else is ahead?

Sadly, our overall mental health was already in really bad shape coming into this year.  In 2019, it was being reported that “deaths of despair” in the United States had reached an all-time record high.  The following comes from NBC News

Rates of deaths from suicides, drug overdoses and alcohol have reached an all-time high in the United States, but some states have been hit far harder than others, according to a report released Wednesday by the Commonwealth Fund.

When things get really crazy, it can be very tempting to try to find a way to escape.

For some people, escaping means abusing alcohol or drugs, and for others it means becoming immersed in endless hours of self-destructive forms of entertainment.

And of course some people attempt to “escape” permanently by committing suicide.

But the truth is that you cannot run away from reality, and there is no reason to try to escape in the first place.

You were born at this particular moment in history for a reason, there is a unique purpose for your life, and you have a job to do.

All of human history has been building up to a great crescendo, and to be alive during this time is such an amazing privilege.

In the movie Gladiator, Russell Crowe’s character made a statement that has always stuck with me.  He said that “what we do in life echoes in eternity”.

If you make your life all about the global elite’s system and what you can get from it, you will end up depressed and defeated.

But if you focus on the things that will echo in eternity, and if you discover the reason why you were placed at this moment in history, then you will never have any reason to want to try to escape this amazing adventure that we call life.

Depression has more than tripled since the COVID-19 pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has not only taken a toll on the physical well-being of many Americans, but also the mental health, according to a new study. During the coronavirus pandemic, the rate of depression in U.S. adults has more than tripled, a study published in JAMA Network Open found.

There was psychological trauma caused by the COVID-19 lockdowns, social isolation, employment worries, financial concerns, and an unpredictable future. A recent study, led by researchers from Boston University, set out to discover the emotional damage that people encountered during the coronavirus pandemic.

Researchers examined data from a survey of 1,441 U.S. adults conducted from March 31 to April 13. By mid-April, there were over 600,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States, and there were nearly 28,000 coronavirus deaths. Stay-at-home orders were issued in most states at the time, and a record 20.5 million jobs were lost in April.

A pre-pandemic poll of 5,065 respondents in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, conducted from 2017 to 2018, found that 8.5% of Americans showed depression symptoms. During the coronavirus pandemic, that figure skyrocketed to 27.8% of people who said they were experiencing depression symptoms.

Both surveys are based on the Patient Health Questionnaire-9, “the most commonly used self-administered depression screening tool,” according to The Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota.

Women were most likely to have depression symptoms during the COVID-19 pandemic, at 33.3%, compared to 21.9% of men. Individuals who were widowed, divorced, or separated had 2.1-fold increased odds of depression symptoms compared to those who were married.

People with a household income of $19,999 or less had 2.4-fold increased odds of depression symptoms. Individuals with household savings less than $5,000 had 1.5-fold increased odds of depression symptoms, according to the paper.

“In 2020, 38.8% of U.S. adults ages 18 to 39 had at least one symptom of depression, up from 9% in the earlier years,” according to the Los Angeles Times. “That increase was mirrored among Americans in their 40s and 50s (jumping from 8.5% to 26.8%) and those 60 and above (rising from 7.9% to 14.9%).”

Signs of depression include feeling down or hopeless, loss of interest in things that generally bring joy, lethargy, lack of concentration, or thinking about self-harm, according to Time.

“As an event that can cause physical, emotional, and psychological harm, the COVID-19 pandemic can itself be considered a traumatic event,” the authors wrote. “In addition, the policies created to prevent its spread introduced new life stressors and disrupted daily living for most people in the U.S.

“We imagine that as the virus spreads and more cases of COVID-19 are confirmed, so too may mental illness increase among those with COVID-19 and those around them,” the authors stated. “This burden is being borne by economically and socially marginalized groups, suggesting that individuals with low income and with fewer resources may benefit from particular policy attention in coming months.”

“Post–COVID-19 plans should account for the probable increase in mental illness to come, particularly among at-risk populations,” the authors concluded.

“Depression in the general population after prior large scale traumatic events has been observed to, at most, double,” said senior study author Dr. Sandro Galea, Dean and Robert A. Knox professor at the Boston University School of Public Health. Galea cited the September 11 terrorist attacks, the Ebola outbreak, and civil unrest in Hong Kong.

“These findings serve to alert our attention to yet another impending public health crisis as a result of this pandemic — the increase in cases of major depression,” Dr. Ruth Shim, an expert on cultural psychology at UC Davis, wrote in the commentary attached to the study.
