Ambush on police Crimes Intelwars Metro nashville police department Officer brian sherman Salman mohamed War on police

Tennessee police officer responds to call — and is hit with ambush in apparent setup

A suspect reportedly ambushed a Tennessee police officer who responded to a fake call, according to a Newsweek report Wednesday.

The suspect — identified as 22-year-old Salman Mohamed — reportedly shot Officer Brian Sherman late Tuesday night before turning the gun on himself.

What are the details?

According to reports, Sherman arrived at the scene after the suspect called authorities and told them that his brother shot their mother and that the situation was escalating within the home.

When Sherman and two other officers arrived at the home, Sherman was immediately met with gunfire. Mohamed, who was armed with a rifle, then allegedly shot himself in the head.

No shots were fired by police, according to reports.

Department spokesperson Don Aaron said that Sherman, who was struck by a bullet in the upper left arm, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was treated for his injuries and released later that night.

“It’s clear that the phone call to the communications center about an active shooter — that his mother had been shot — was a ruse, a setup to get police to the scene,” Aaron said during a press conference on the shooting. “No one else in the home was injured.”

He added, “We have to talk to family members to determine what has occurred here. We don’t see any arrest history for Mohamed here in Nashville.”

Aaron also said that the danger for officers appears to have escalated over the last several weeks.

“Certainly, these calls are sitting with our officers,” the spokesman said. “You can’t ignore them. It’s very concerning what our officers are being confronted with over the past few weeks. It’s very concerning.”

The department tweeted a photo of Sherman and captioned it, “BREAKING: Officer Brian Sherman is bring treated at Vanderbilt for gunshot wounds to his left arm. Sherman was hit while answering a call of a woman shot at 7220 Sugarloaf Dr. That call was a setup to get police to respond[.]”

Seattle considers excusing criminals if they can prove they broke the law because of drug addiction, mental illness, or poverty

Seattle officials are considering changing the current criminal code to exempt criminals from prosecution if it is deemed that suspects’ survival depended on committing acts of trespassing, theft, or assault.

What are the details?

According to the Daily Wire on Monday, the Seattle City Council is mulling over the changes, which were first broached in October.

In October, KOMO-TV reported on a proposed ordinance — courtesy of Councilmember Lisa Herbold and King County Director of the Department of Public Defense Anita Khandelwal — that would “excuse and dismiss … almost all misdemeanor crimes committed in Seattle by offenders who could show either: symptoms of addiction without being required to prove a medical diagnosis; symptoms of a mental disorder; or poverty and the crime was committed to meet an ‘immediate and basic need.'”

The station reported, “For example, if a defendant argued they stole merchandise to sell for cash in order to purchase food, clothes, or was trying to scrape together enough money for rent … [t]he accused could not be convicted.”

The ordinance, nicknamed the “poverty defense,” according to the Daily Wire, would cover all misdemeanor crimes except domestic violence cases and DUIs.

According to KUOW-FM, Khandelwal in early December said, “In a situation where you took that sandwich because you were hungry and you were trying to meet your basic need of of satisfying your hunger; we as the community will know that we should not punish that. That conduct is excused.”

Khandelwal added that the current system in place is not meeting anyone’s needs.

“This is not that we don’t care about the business community or about people who have experienced harm,” Khandelwal explained. “It is that we know that this process — this processing of human beings through the system — is harmful to our clients and again very racially disproportionate, and also not getting business owners what they need, either.”

What else?

Not all people are on board with the move, according to the outlet.

In a statement to Fox News, Seattle-area radio host Jason Rantz said, “We have this culture of lawlessness. We have a prolific offender problem where pretty much the same 100 or so individuals keep breaking the law, not seeing any punishment, and then doing the same thing over and over and over again.”

“And so,” he continued, “all you’re doing is making it easier for those people to continue that behavior. And, the fear is, of course, you know, ‘Does this only apply to Seattle residents?’ And if not, does that mean someone can come from outside of the region who is destitute, who is low income, [and] break a whole bunch of laws knowing that if you do it in Seattle, you’re not going to get into any trouble?”

Former Seattle City Councilmember Tim Burgess has also spoken out about the ordinance.

“It leans on the scales heavily in favor of certain individuals based on status, and it says to others, ‘You don’t matter,'” Burgess explained.

Former mayoral public safety adviser Scott Lindsay added, “It’s a green light for crime. If you are engaged in 100 different misdemeanors that are in our criminal justice system code, you are not going to be held liable. You are not going to be held accountable.”

Fox News reported that crime in Seattle has been on the rise since the summer’s CHAZ protests, and the city saw a 525 percent spike in criminal activity as a result.

Fox said that documents from a Tuesday city council briefing “say the council would be required to specify whether the rule would apply solely to someone committing a misdemeanor to meet immediate basic needs.”

The Seattle City Council will continue to work on the proposed ordinance in 2021.

Authorities arrest 1 in connection with violent attack on San Francisco free speech rally organizer

Authorities arrested a man in connection with an assault on a speaker at a San Francisco free speech rally that took place on Saturday.

A suspect punched the free speech rally organizer in the face, knocking out at least two of his teeth.

What are the details?

According to Newsweek, authorities arrested 35-year-old Adora Anderson of Watsonville, California, who is accused of “mayhem” and “hate crime enhancement” after reportedly punching 25-year-old Philip Anderson in the face.

Authorities say there is no relation between the men despite their shared last name.

Viral videos captured the moment that Philip was assaulted during the rally, which was referred to as a “Free Speech Rally Against Twitter and Big Tech.” The demonstration was held at the federal building at U.N. Plaza, near Twitter’s headquarters. The event was a protest against the company’s censorship of the New York Post’s article on emails purported to belong to Hunter Biden regarding foreign business dealings and his father, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

San Francisco police arrived on the scene on to respond to reports of an aggravated assault. Philip told authorities that he had been participating in the free speech rally when an unknown assailant punched him in the face.

A GoFundMe page to raise money to repair Philip’s teeth has received more than $30,035 in donations at the time of this reporting.

A
statement from the San Francisco Police Department read:

On Saturday, October 17, 2020, at approximately 12:20 PM, San Francisco Police officers responded to the area of Leavenworth and McAllister Streets for a report of an aggravated assault. Officers met with a 25-year-old male victim who identified himself as the victim of the assault. The victim told officers he was participating in a free speech rally at UN Plaza when he was punched in the face by an unknown suspect. The assault caused the victim to lose two teeth. The SFPD Night Investigations Unit and Special Investigations Unit led the investigation.

Investigators developed information that led to the identity of the suspect in the assault. The suspect was identified as 35-year-old Adora Anderson of Watsonville. On Sunday, October 18, 2020, at approximately 2:53 PM, Adora Anderson was taken into custody by San Francisco Police officers in Oakland, CA. Adora Anderson was transported to San Francisco County Jail where he was booked on charges of mayhem (203 PC) and a hate crime enhancement (422.75(a) PC).

While an arrest has been made, this remains an open investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the SFPD 24 Hour Tip Line at 1-415-575-4444 or Text a Tip to TIP411 and begin your text message with SFPD. You may remain anonymous.

What else?

Authorities shut down the Saturday rally after counterdemonstrators became violent.

As previously reported by The Blaze, the situation quickly spiraled out of control against those conservatives gathered for the demonstration, and police were forced to escort them away from the premises and to their vehicles.

Following the assault, Philip told the crowd, “Too bad it got canceled. That’s what happens when you lose free speech, this is what our country has turned into.”

He also shared a snap of his bloodied mouth on social media after leaving the hospital.

He captioned the photo, “Antifa attacked me for no reason.”

Philip later tweeted, “I have a question for you, Joe Biden. You said that Antifa is just an idea. This is what they did to me. I’m at the hospital right now … because of Antifa. Do you still think, after seeing this, that they’re just an idea?”

The tweets are unavailable at the time of this reporting, as his account has been suspended.

“Fear Is The Primary Driver” Of Mental Health Problems

A new study on the mental health problems facing Americans in the aftermath of the mainstream media’s constant fear-mongering propaganda-driven narrative on the coronavirus scamdemic, states that “fear is the primary driver.” Because the ruling class and elites manufacture consent for enslavement using fear, don’t expect this to change the way the mainstream media reports on anything.

Coronavirus Panic & Fear: The Greatest Mainstream Media Hoax In History

According to USA Today, a psychological survey of 10,368 American adults amid the coronavirus plandemic found that the fear of it has led to higher levels of depression, anxiety, suicidal tendencies, and psychological trauma. “These are all factors contributing to poor mental health outcomes — higher levels of anxiety and depressive symptoms, as well as suicide ideation and general thoughts about suicide,” Kevin Fitzpatrick, Jones Chair in Community at the University of Arkansas and one of the co-authors of the studies, told Yahoo Finance. “Fear is a primary driver and an important factor in determining the mental health of our sampled U.S. adults.”

The system is reliant on fear to keep it going. If people are not afraid, they don’t need to be governed (controlled, ruled). If people are terrified, they will submit to any level of enslavement under the false sense of security politicians pretend to offer.

The Science of Fear: How The Elitists Use it to Control Us & How to Break Free

The researchers, who published the finding across three studies, found that aside from the health risks that come with coronavirus, stress arises from “the unique juxtaposition of extreme physical distancing, approaching geographical isolation, coupled with sustained isolation” as well as fear about losing jobs or not being able to pay bills or afford food.

This whole scamdemic has been a battle for the mind and which entity you allow to control your perception. Whoever you allow to control your mind, controls you. Alphonso washington Charles morgan Charles morgan murder Crimes Intelwars Jackie morgan Stomped to death

Family man reportedly stomped, stabbed to death by homeless convict while traveling. A racial justice group had put the suspect up in the hotel where the crime occurred.

A traveling father and husband is dead after he unknowingly befriended a convicted killer who was staying in the same hotel, reports say.

What are the details of the murder?

Charles Morgan left his Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, home on Aug. 1 to visit his father and brother in West Palm Beach, Florida.

He made it all the way to a hotel in Dania Beach, Florida, where he decided to stop traveling for the night around 9:30 p.m.

There, authorities believe the 59-year-old Morgan befriended a fellow hotel guest later identified as Alphonso Washington — a convicted murderer.

Members of his family were set to pick Morgan up from the hotel the next morning, but it would apparently never happen.

According to reports, a suspect murdered Morgan by stomping on his throat and stabbing him multiple times. There were reportedly no signs of self-defense.

The Orlando Sentinel reported that authorities began investigating Washington, who was once homeless and had been staying at the hotel for at least two months before Morgan’s grisly murder.

Surveillance videos from the hotel’s property show Morgan walking with Washington on the grounds, and then later entering Morgan’s room the next morning.

Washington is later reportedly seen leaving Morgan’s room with a bag about noon on Aug. 2. According to reports, officers found Morgan on the bathroom floor with multiple cuts that afternoon.

A housekeeper told authorities that she overheard the two arguing, and Washington’s hotel roommate also told authorities that he witnessed Washington washing his clothes in the sink and left with an iPad that the roommate had reportedly never seen before.

Authorities later discovered a white mask with the words “Martha’s Vineyard” printed on it and arrested Washington for murder. He is being held in a local jail without bond.

Beneficiary of a humanitarian effort

The Sun-Sentinel reported that Washington was the beneficiary of a local humanitarian effort to get homeless people off the street in order to help tamp down the spread of the coronavirus.

In May, Fort Lauderdale handed out hotel vouchers to the homeless and needy to get them off the streets.

In July, the program ended due to a lack of funding, but racial justice and political action group New Florida Majority stepped in to cover the costs of the guests’ temporary residences.

The hotel manager told the outlet that the group stopped paying for the rooms on the same day of Morgan’s killing.

‘They befriended each other’

In a statement to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Morgan’s wife, Jackie, said that her husband told her about Washington and said that he’d made a friend.

“My husband is so friendly and such a regular guy,” she said, “and we live in a community where you say hello to somebody and they say hello back. They befriended each other.”

“I want justice for my husband,” she concluded. “They snuffed his life out.”

Lengthy criminal history

The paper noted that Washington was convicted in 1985 for killing a woman in Miami-Dade. Washington’s victim was found naked outside of a local elementary school, and died from blunt-force trauma.

Washington was convicted of murder and sentenced up to 17 years in prison. He was released in 1991 after serving just four years of his sentence.

Reports allege Washington’s latest arrest was on robbery charges.

Trump’s Words For Epstein Sex Trafficking Accomplice: “I Just Wish Her Well”

Donald Trump had some nice things to say about Ghislaine Maxwell.  When asked about Maxwell’s case, Trump said: “I just wish her well, frankly.”

Maxwell is charged with involvement in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex crimes. Are we now still “trusting the plan” that he’s going to somehow use the system set up by these psychopaths to take them down? Time to open your eyes.

Ghislaine Maxwell Fears She’ll Meet The Same Fate As Epstein & Be Murdered

Lawyer: The MSM Will Report On Ghislaine Maxwell’s Death In Jail

This all could be a build-up to what we are all expecting: Maxwell to expire in jail.

Epstein was arrested last July and according to the official narrative, killed himself in a federal jail in August. Most of us realize that his death was murder, however, as he would have been able to take down some of the most powerful people on earth. His death sparked a flurry of speculation about what he knew about the powerful figures from the worlds of politics, science, and entertainment with whom he had frequently associated, including figures like Trump, Bill Clinton, and Britain’s Prince Andrew.

Unsealed flight logs show Donald Trump was on Epstein’s plane, the Lolita Express, back in 1997. Trump is not the only politician we’ve shed light on. Look, I realize the cognitive dissonance in the U.S. is strong right now and many believe Trump to be some kind of messiah. But this information is pertinent considering he’s in power and has an almost occultic religious following of people unwilling to even read facts about who he is.

Alan “The-State-Can-Plunge-A-Needle-In-Your-Arm” Dershowitz Is In Epstein’s “Little Black Book”

Meet The Madam: Epstein Arrest Casts Spotlight On Clinton-Linked Socialite

A lot of people appear to be triggered by Trump’s comments. On the right, they tend to think it means nothing, and on the left, they are worried the media asked him about Maxwell and not the coronavirus hoax. This is simply more evidence that the U.S. is completely divided along political lines, and the mainstream media is going to continue the divide and conquer strategy.

Oh, and for those who are going to get triggered and go into full snowflake mode in the comments over this, I’ve highlighted Bill Clinton and his connection to Epstein several times. The point is, this isn’t a left vs. right problem. It’s an elitist vs. the people problem.

If you want to be coddled, fine. Sometimes the truth hurts. No one knows right now just how deep Trump’s connection to Epstein goes, only that there is one. No one knows how deep Clinton’s connection with Epstein goes, only that there is one.

Post-COVID Society: Americans Might Be DONE Taking Orders

Americans are losing patience with the lies, propaganda, and destruction of their livelihoods since following the orders of the totalitarian government.  It looks like the government has overplayed its hand, and Americans are done obeying the ruling class.

Have Americans finally reached their breaking point? Do they actually desire freedom over the false sense of security being promised by the government?  Maybe. It appears that a good number are simply unwilling to comply with orders anymore.

On June 19, the mayor of Cottonwood, Arizona, unilaterally ordered city residents to wear face masks in public places. A week later, my family went downtown to grab some lunch at a favorite barbecue joint. The proclamation might as well have never been issued; we were among the very few people wearing masks on the street or in the stores. –Reason

Compliance with orders from on-high is losing popularity rapidly across the country. More and more Americans are simply disobeying the commands in favor of living a life of freedom. One of the COVID-19 pandemic’s legacies may very well be an overwhelming public fatigue with being told what to do.

Honestly, I tired of the rhetoric and commands early on when businesses began to shut down after being told to. All governments refuse to ask if the public even needs to be bossed around, but ordering the slaves to comply is what they do best. And they’re finally getting a lot of pushback.

Even at the beginning of the pandemic, when fear and uncertainty were at their height, many Americans worried that they would lose more to economic stagnation and social isolation than they gained from society-wide lockdowns. Closing businesses and banning gatherings might slow the spread of disease, but it also chokes off commerce, kills jobs, and sends people to the brink of despair.

“Frustrated small-business owners have turned to heavily armed, militia-style protesters … to serve as reopening security squads” to deter government officials from enforcing closure orders, The New York Timesreported in mid-May. Disobedience morphed into open rebellion as people chafed against draconian commands and the resulting dwindling bank accounts.

It isn’t only a matter of dollars and cents, either. In New York City, parents sick of confinement at home and unable to legally let their children blow off steam in playgrounds “cut the locks and chains on gates that had kept them closed for months,” according to the New York Daily News. –Reason

Civil disobedience is the only option left for those who want to live freely.  Petitions don’t work because the government doesn’t care. Protests don’t work because the government doesn’t care. Free people don’t ask permission anyway, they just live free.

Civil Disobedience Is Here: People All Over Are Getting Off Their Knees & Disobeying Tyrants

Granted, there are still a number of good slaves out there ready to obey, comply, and bow down to the incoming New World Order, the one world currency, and the one-world religion. But for many, it’s already gone too far, and they’ve said: “enough is enough.”

We don’t need governments’ permission to be free, and it’s about time people begin to realize that. Americans’ unwillingness to be governed any further by officials who responded to the pandemic with a series of botched policy initiativespersonal exemptions, and seemingly arbitrary commands to the public is understandable. Why would you take orders from people who seem to have no idea what they’re doing and clearly don’t intend to follow the rules themselves?

No one owns you, including the government of the United States. You own yourself, and with that, the responsibility of acting in your own free will, and not be at the whims of a ruling class. Your rights were given to you by the Creator and cannot be taken no matter what is voted for and no matter who writes a law otherwise. It’s good to see Americans finally realizing this.

[WATCH] Social Distancing is a “CIA Protocol” That Amounts To Torture

In a video that couldn’t be found anywhere on YouTube (which isn’t a big surprise), a woman blasts social distancing as a “CIA protocol” the amounts to torture.  She says that the world’s governments are using social distancing to destabilize the mental health of the entire planet.

The video below is on a platform called Bitchute, and will not be removed by any censors. Bitchute is decentralized.  In the video, Leigh Dundas says “social distancing is actually a technique that might be causing more harm to our children than that which it seeks to avoid. So, social distancing is a euphemism for social isolation. It was a technique that was developed about 70 years ago by the CIA and they found it was REALLY REALLY good at breaking down enemies of the state.”

So what in the hell are we doing to our children? Why are they enemies of the state? Because we all are enemies of the state. If you aren’t a politician, you are the enemy and they want to enslave us under the New World Order and the government is a part of the plan to manufacture compliance. This is not a conspiracy theory.  They are coming out and saying it now, and several sites, including this one, have proven this time and time again. Your inability to understand what’s going on or break your own mental chains does not make it “unreal.”

“It destroys the part of the brain that is responsible for learning in our children and ourselves, which is known as the ventral striata…in 1951, the CIA held a secret meeting at the Ritz Carlton in Canada and it was a meeting with doctors present who had ties to, and I quote ‘the US, UK, and Canadian military forces.” The CIA realized at that meeting and others that “social distancing and social isolation techniques were quote ‘the ideal way of breaking down a prisoner.’”

Creepy Proposal: Government’s Plans to “Track” COVID-19 at Schools

The video is currently up on Facebook as well, but it could definitely be deleted by the censors:

Many educators and parents are struggling with the concept of social distancing in schools. Here are some lesser known facts about social distancing and isolation: • It was developed 70 years ago by the CIA to break down enemies of state.• It is the equivalent of smoking 15 cigarettes a day AND being an alcoholic.• It doubles the risk of death, and destroys the part of the brain responsible for learning. To learn more about the secret military meeting in Canada in the 1950’s that gave rise to social distancing and isolation techniques – and to learn the basis for the “six foot distance rule” during times of COVID — watch this video. Bottom line? The CA Department of Education has no business deploying CIA protocols — still used to this day to break down enemies because they are more effective than physical torture — against kindergardeners in classrooms. Particularly since adoption of the 6 foot rule will force CA schools into a hybrid "remote learning" model – where students will only be able to be on-campus part time – which will unfairly disadvantage the 43% of California’s students who are from lower socio-economic families. By fifth grade, these children are already testing 2-3 years behind their counterparts. Because they are poor, they often do not have any parent home with them during the day, and further lack computers and consistent internet connections. To deploy remote learning against these children is an educational death sentence – simply put, they will never catch up to their peers. Call and email California State Department of Education and Superintendent Tony Thurmond (916-319-0800 and sbe@cde.ca.gov) — and do the same with your County Board of Education, your local school district and your child’s principal — and tell them: NO SOCIAL DISTANCING, and NO REMOTE LEARNING.PS: For those concerned about sending kids to school this Fall, there is good news: • A child’s risk of dying from COVID is 0.0%, per the CDC.• No child has passed on COVID to a family member or third party (they do not transmit).Visit www.Citizens-Rights.org (resource tab) for more data.

This could be a big reason why so many parents have already decided to homeschool their children this coming year. Honestly, that’s probably a good thing. If children cannot socialize, what’s the point of public schools anyway?

This was is on us.  It’s become obvious. We all need to become of aware of the mental and spiritual war being fought for the power over our minds right now. No one is coming to save us. We are going to need to save ourselves.  No amount of voting will get us out of this. The system was set up against us, it doesn’t’ matter who the ruler is. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but it’s the truth. The way out is realizing no one owns you. No one has rights you don’t have, and no one has any obligation to obey anyone else. We got to this point by people acquiescing to power instead of realizing they are the power and have ultimate control over their own life.

Police Are Complicit in Politicians’ Disregard for the Rule of Law

This article was originally published by Ryan McMaken at The Mises Institute.

People of a certain age might remember the old John Birch Society slogan “Support your local police!” The idea here is that your local policeman is a liberty-loving buddy of yours who would only ever support just laws and constitutional mandates. Only those bad guys in the FBI or BATF would ever consider violating your rights.

Now, obviously that has always been a rather naïve fantasy, but the notion certainly has a long history of support among American conservatives. The idea that unionized, well-paid government employees sympathize with the common man instead of with the government that signs the cops’ checks apparently has long made sense (for some reason) to conservatives and many others.

David Icke To LEOs & Military: “Look Your Children In The Eye” & Tell Them YOU Enforced Tyranny

But thanks to the ongoing “state of emergency” and the fact that state governors, mayors, and health officials now rule by decree, we’re witnessing more and more how local law enforcement officers have no particular interest in the rule of law, the Bill of Rights, or basic human rights of any sort. Police have been at the forefront of arresting business owners for the “crime” of using their own private property, using city parks, and engaging in other peaceful activities.

As Judge Napolitano has noted, these “stay-at-home orders”—and the penalties that accompany them—aren’t even real laws since they were never passed by a legislature or brought into being by any process other than on the authority of a single person who is usually a state governor or municipal official. By no definition of “rule of law” do these measures meet basic moral requirements for their imposition on peaceful citizens.

But the police are enthusiastically enforcing these edicts nonetheless and using them as an excuse to harass the taxpayers.

Here are just a few examples from around the United States.

Keep in mind that no one is required to go near these places or interact with anyone involved. Those who wish to isolate themselves from these businesses and their clientele may freely do so. Yet these are just a handful of the many cases of police harassment involving citations, arrests, and other forms of coercion and intimidation brought against people who are just trying to live their lives. Nor should we assume that this is “as bad as it gets.” Since there is no longer any due process or public legislative process subject to checks and balances, governors and mayors can unilaterally decide at any time to ramp up social distancing requirements and business closures. If the public appears uncooperative, public officials can simply order police to be making mass arrests. We have no reason to think the police would not comply with this order.

After all, police personnel, who do not have a particularly impressive record when it comes to stopping or investigating real crime, have plenty of resources to crack down on nonviolent “perpetrators.”

The cases of New York and Odessa are instructive. Odessa law enforcement officers apparently have the extra time and resources to assemble a SWAT team in response to protests, but does this mean there is no real crime that needs investigating in Odessa? Of course not. According to the FBI’s 2018 crime survey, Odessa had 1,049 violent crimes in 2018, including 118 rapes and 819 aggravated assaults. If late 2019 and early 2020 were at all similar, then we’re talking about hundreds of violent crimes that Odessa-area police officials are ignoring in order to harass people for entering a tavern.

Indeed, if Odessa law enforcement agencies are anything like countless police agencies in other areas, only about half of the violent crimes are “resolved” at all. That is,

only 45 percent of violent crime lead to arrest and prosecution. That is, less than half of violent crimes result in what is known as a “clearance” of the crime. Property crime clearances are much worse. Only 17 percent of burglaries, arsons, and car thefts are “cleared.”

Among violent crimes, homicides experience the highest clearance rate by far, at 61 percent. Aggravated assault comes in at 53 percent, and rape at 34 percent.

But these are just cases where arrests are made and prosecutions are initiated. A smaller number of cases actually lead to convictions. A crime may be cleared even when the suspect is later exonerated.

New York is not exempt from these trends, yet the New York mayor recently dispatched one thousand cops to break up Jewish funerals and ensure that people don’t have barbecues on warm spring days.

By the way, there were more than forty-six thousand violent crimes in New York in 2018. But don’t fear, the police have extra personnel to come and break up your small backyard gathering.

There’s nothing surprising here, however. Police have long shown a lack of enthusiasm for addressing real crime, knowing that business owners, small-time drug users, and loiterers won’t fight back, and thus make for much better targets.

This is why police are often found to run and hide from truly violent criminals while the victims must fend for themselves, as in the case of the Parkland shooting or the case of the stabbing of Joseph Lozito.

Police are always careful to use the legal defense that they are not obligated to actually protect anyone from anything. The courts agree with this defense, and it is now well established legally that although you have an obligation to pay the police to “protect and serve,” the police have no obligation to actually provide protection.

But police officers and their bosses have convinced themselves that the really important policing right now involves hauling dog groomers off to jail and collecting revenue from parkgoers who are only standing five feet from the next person. But if you have a problem with real crime? You’re likely out of luck.

An Atlanta stepfather fatally shot his teenage stepson after the teen reportedly left the family’s home during the COVID-19 lockdown, police said.

What are the details?

According to an Associated Press report, authorities arrested 42-year-old Bernie Hargrove early Thursday morning.

Authorities charged Hargrove with felony murder in the death of 16-year-old De’onte Roberts, and booked him into the Fulton County Jail.

The teen’s mother told police that her son had left the house Wednesday evening despite her and the stepfather’s demands that he remain inside and comply with shelter-in-place directives.

Steve Avery, a spokesperson for the police department, said that when De’onte returned to the home, he and his stepfather engaged in a physical altercation. During the altercation, Hargrove reportedly pulled out a gun and shot the teen “multiple times,” according to the report.

“Later, the victim returned to the home and kicked in the door to the house where a physical fight began between the suspect and the victim,” Avery said.

First responders arrived on the scene and transported the teen to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

In a brief statement, Atlanta Police Captain D’Andrea Price said that it’s best to separate and cool down during emotionally charged times.

“Tensions get high because you’re in the same space, day in and day out,” Price said. “However, when the pressure gets high, you just have to take a deep breath and you have to separate.”

Woman arrested for licking items at a store in California — and ruining $1,800 in merchandise

A woman was arrested for licking items at a store in California and causing a loss of $1,800 worth of merchandise.

53-year-old Jennifer Walker was accused of licking items at a Safeway store in South Lake Tahoe by employees who called police.

They said that Walker was licking the items, placing them in her cart, and then licking her fingers.

Police found her in the store with a grocery cart full of items, including jewelry, alcohol and souvenirs, but no means of paying for them.

A store employee told police that they would not be able to sell the items because of cross-contamination, and that it would cost the store $1,800.

Walker was arrested and booked in the El Dorado County jail. She is being held on $10,000 bail. Walker was charged with felony vandalism.

Crimes involving the licking of groceries and merchandise at stores have become far more alarming since the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

South Lake Tahoe Interim Police Chief Shannon Laney lamented that avoidable incidents like these were taking up the time of his limited police force.

“We have very limited resources, most small towns do, especially mountain towns,” Laney said.

Here’s a local news report about the arrest:

Coronavirus COVID-19 Crimes Intelwars Lysol Walmart

Walmart shopper reportedly sprays Lysol in cashier’s eyes after cashier insists there is a limit on purchases

A Massachusetts woman reportedly sprayed Lysol in a Walmart cashier’s eyes after the cashier told the shopper that there was a quantity limit on the disinfectant spray.

The incident took place in Leicester on March 27, according to reports.

What are the details?

In a Monday news release, the Leicester Police Department revealed that it is still seeking the female suspect and her whereabouts.

“Leicester PD is attempting to identify the female in the attached photograph for an ADW that occurred on 3/27 at Walmart,” a Facebook post from the department read. “The female suspect was informed by a cashier that there was a limit on the number of Lysol disinfectant cans that she was trying to purchase. The female responded by spraying the cashier in the eyes with the Lysol requiring a response from EMS.”

The department also shared a photo of the suspect, who can be described as an African American woman wearing a dark-colored jacket, dark pants, sunglasses, and was carrying what appears to be a tote bag following the incident.

“She then completed her purchase and left in what is believed to have been an Uber. Anyone with information is requested to contact Officer Matthew Soojian at (508) 892-7010 ext. 2066 or soojianm@leicesterpd.org,” the post concluded. “Thank you in advance for any assistance.”

Walmart and other stores have restricted the number of Lysol products and other disinfectant supplies due to the overwhelming demand for such products during the COVID-19 outbreak.

At the time of this writing, there has been at least 1,365,004 confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide. At least 76,240 people have died because of the deadly and highly contagious virus.
