Barack Obama Better off now than they were four years ago Gallup poll Intelwars Political polls Polls Ronald Reagan

Majority of voters say they’re better off under Trump after 4 years; higher than Obama in his re-election year

A majority of Americans say they are better off under President Donald Trump than they were four years ago, according to a new Gallup poll. The Gallup survey found that voters were more satisfied during President Trump’s four-year term than the first terms of former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush, new polling data has revealed.

Gallup’s Sept. 14-28 poll found that 56% of U.S. registered voters believe they are better off now under President Trump compared to four years ago.

President Trump celebrated the news on Twitter: “The Gallup Poll has just come out with the incredible finding that 56% of you say that you are better off today, during a pandemic, than you were four years ago (OBiden). Highest number on record! Pretty amazing!”

Trump is the only president in 36 years of Gallup polls to have a majority of respondents say they are better off now than they were four years ago.

In 2012, when then-President Obama was seeking reelection, the same question was asked by Gallup, and 45% said they were better off than they were four years earlier.

In 2004, when then-President George W. Bush was up for reelection, 47% said they were in a better place than four years prior.

President George H.W. Bush was seeking reelection in 1992, and he scored a lowly 38% on the same question.

In 1984, 44% of voters said they were happier under then-President Ronald Reagan’s first term.

Gallup does not have polling for 1996, when Bill Clinton was president.

Gallup started asking registered voters in 1984: “Are you better off today than you were four years ago?” The question is based on a famous quote by former President Ronald Reagan.

During the 1980 presidential campaign, then-Republican nominee Reagan asked the audience that same question during his one and only presidential debate against then-Democratic President Jimmy Carter.

In a “60 Minutes” interview from 2014, President Obama used Reagan’s memorable question, “Are you better off today than you were four years ago?”

Reagan 1980 Are you better off than you were four years ago?

In Gallup’s poll of a random sample of 905 registered voters, they were asked their opinions about President Trump and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. The poll found that 49% of registered voters agree with President Trump “on the issues,” compared to 46% who aligned with former Vice President Biden.

However, 49% of voters said Biden has “the personality and leadership qualities that a president should have,” versus 44% who viewed Trump as presidential.

The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

The Election Has Already Been Hijacked and the Winner Decided: ‘We the People’ Lose

This article was originally published by John W. Whitehead at The Rutherford Institute.

“Free election of masters does not abolish the masters or the slaves.” ? Herbert Marcuse

Republicans and Democrats alike fear that the other party will attempt to hijack this election.

President Trump is convinced that mail-in ballots are a scam except in Florida, where it’s safe to vote by mail because of its “great Republican governor.”

The FBI is worried about foreign hackers continuing to target and exploit vulnerabilities in the nation’s electoral system, sowing distrust about the parties, the process, and the outcome.

I, on the other hand, am not overly worried: after all, the voting booths have already been hijacked by a political elite comprised of Republicans and Democrats who are determined to retain power at all costs.

The outcome is a foregone conclusion: the Deep State will win and “we the people” will lose.

The damage has already been done.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which has been tasked with helping to “secure” the elections and protect the nation against cyberattacks, is not exactly an agency known for its adherence to freedom principles.

After all, this is the agency largely responsible for turning the American republic into a police state. Since its creation, the DHS has ushered in the domestic use of surveillance drones, expanded the reach of fusion centers, stockpiled an alarming amount of ammunition (including hollow-point bullets), urged Americans to become snitches through a “see something, say something” campaign, overseen the fumbling antics of TSA agents everywhere, militarized the nation’s police, spied on activists and veterans, distributed license plate readers and cell phone trackers to law enforcement agencies, contracted to build detention camps, carried out military drills and lockdowns in American cities, conducted virtual strip searches of airline passengers, established Constitution-free border zones, funded city-wide surveillance cameras, and undermined the Fourth Amendment at every turn.

So, no, I’m not losing a night’s sleep over the thought that this election might by any more rigged than it already is.

And I’m not holding my breath in the hopes that the winner of this year’s popularity contest will save us from government surveillance, weaponized drones, militarized police, endless wars, SWAT team raids, asset forfeiture schemes, overcriminalization, profit-driven private prisons, graft, and corruption, or any of the other evils that masquerade as official government business these days.

You see, after years of trying to wake Americans up to the reality that there is no political savior who will save us from the police state, I’ve come to realize that Americans want to engage in the reassurance ritual of voting.

They want to believe the fantasy that politics matter.

They want to be persuaded that there’s a difference between the Republicans and Democrats (there’s not).

Some will swear that Donald Trump has been an improvement on Barack Obama (he is not).

Others are convinced that Joe Biden’s values are different from Donald Trump’s (with both of them, money talks).

Most of all, voters want to buy into the fantasy that when they elect a president, they’re getting someone who truly represents the citizenry rather than the Deep State (in fact, in the oligarchy that is the American police state, an elite group of wealthy donors is calling the shots in cooperation with a political elite).

The sad truth is that it doesn’t matter who wins the White House because they all work for the same boss: Corporate America. Understanding this, many corporations hedge their bets on who will win the White House by splitting their donations between Democratic and Republican candidates.

Politics is a game, a joke, a hustle, a con, a distraction, a spectacle, a sport, and for many devout Americans, a religion. It is a political illusion aimed at persuading the citizenry that we are free, that our vote counts, and that we actually have some control over the government when in fact, we are prisoners of a Corporate Elite.

In other words, it’s a sophisticated ruse aimed at keeping us divided and fighting over two parties whose priorities, more often than not, are exactly the same so that we don’t join forces and do what the Declaration of Independence suggests, which is to throw the whole lot out and start over.

It’s no secret that both parties support endless war, engage in out-of-control spending, ignore the citizenry’s basic rights, have no respect for the rule of law, are bought and paid for by Big Business, care most about their own power, and have a long record of expanding government and shrinking liberty. Most of all, both parties enjoy an intimate, incestuous history with each other and with the moneyed elite that rule this country.

Despite the jabs the candidates volley at each other for the benefit of the cameras, they’re a relatively chummy bunch away from the spotlight. Moreover, despite Congress’ so-called political gridlock, our elected officials seem to have no trouble finding common ground when it’s time to collectively kowtow to the megacorporations, lobbyists, defense contractors, and other special interest groups to whom they have pledged their true allegiance.

So don’t be fooled by the smear campaigns and name-calling or drawn into their divide-and-conquer politics of hate. They’re just useful tactics that have been proven to engage voters and increase voter turnout while keeping the citizenry at each other’s throats.

It’s all a grand illusion.

It used to be that the cogs, wheels, and gear shifts in the government machinery worked to keep the republic running smoothly. However, without our fully realizing it, the mechanism has changed. Its purpose is no longer to keep our republic running smoothly. To the contrary, this particular contraption’s purpose is to keep the Deep State in power. Its various parts are already a corrupt part of the whole.

Just consider how insidious, incestuous, and beholden to the corporate elite the various “parts” of the mechanism have become.

Congress. Perhaps the most notorious offenders and most obvious culprits in the creation of the corporate-state, Congress has proven itself to be both inept and avaricious, oblivious champions of an authoritarian system that is systematically dismantling their constituents’ fundamental rights. Long before they’re elected, Congressmen are trained to dance to the tune of their wealthy benefactors, so much so that they spend two-thirds of their time in office raising money. As Reuters reports, “For many lawmakers, the daily routine in Washington involves fundraising as much as legislating. The culture of nonstop political campaigning shapes the rhythms of daily life in Congress, as well as the landscape around the Capitol. It also means that lawmakers often spend more time listening to the concerns of the wealthy than anyone else.”

The President. What Americans want in a president and what they need are two very different things. The making of a popular president is an exercise in branding, marketing, and creating alternate realities for the consumer—a.k.a., the citizenry—that allows them to buy into a fantasy about life in America that is utterly divorced from our increasingly grim reality. Take President Trump, for instance, who got elected by promising to drain the swamp in Washington DC. Instead of putting an end to the corruption, however, Trump has paved the way for lobbyists, corporations, the military-industrial complex, and the rest of the Deep State (also referred to as “The 7th Floor Group”) to feast on the carcass of the dying American republic. The lesson: to be a successful president, it doesn’t matter whether you keep your campaign promises, sell the American people to the highest bidder, or march in lockstep with the Corporate State as long as you keep telling people what they most want to hear.

The Supreme Court. The U.S. Supreme Court—once the last refuge of justice, the one governmental body really capable of rolling back the slowly emerging tyranny enveloping America—has instead become the champion of the American police state, absolving government and corporate officials of their crimes while relentlessly punishing the average American for exercising his or her rights. Like the rest of the government, the Court has routinely prioritized profit, security, and convenience over the basic rights of the citizenry. Indeed, law professor Erwin Chemerinsky makes a compelling case that the Supreme Court, whose “justices have overwhelmingly come from positions of privilege,” almost unerringly throughout its history sides with the wealthy, the privileged, and the powerful.

The Media. Of course, this triumvirate of total control would be completely ineffective without a propaganda machine provided by the world’s largest corporations. Besides shoveling drivel down our throats at every possible moment, the so-called news agencies which are supposed to act as bulwarks against government propaganda have instead become the mouthpieces of the state. The pundits which pollute our airwaves are at best court jesters and at worst propagandists for the false reality created by the American government. When you have internet and media giants such as Google, NBC Universal, News Corporation, Turner Broadcasting, Thomson Reuters, Comcast, Time Warner, Viacom, Public Radio International, and The Washington Post Company donating to political candidates, you no longer have an independent media—what we used to refer to as the “fourth estate”—that can be trusted to hold the government accountable.

The American People. “We the people” now belong to a permanent underclass in America. It doesn’t matter what you call us—chattel, slaves, worker bees, it’s all the same—what matters is that we are expected to march in lockstep with and submit to the will of the state in all matters, public and private. Unfortunately, through our complicity in matters large and small, we have allowed an out-of-control corporate-state apparatus to take over every element of American society.

We’re playing against a stacked deck.

The game is rigged, and “we the people” keep getting dealt the same losing hand. The people dealing the cards—the politicians, the corporations, the judges, the prosecutors, the police, the bureaucrats, the military, the media, etc.—have only one prevailing concern, and that is to maintain their power and control over the citizenry while milking us of our money and possessions.

It really doesn’t matter what you call them—Republicans, Democrats, the 1%, the elite, the controllers, the masterminds, the shadow government, the police state, the surveillance state, the military-industrial complex—so long as you understand that while they are dealing the cards, the deck will always be stacked in their favor.

As I make clear in my book, Battlefield America: The War on the American People, our failure to remain informed about what is taking place in our government, to know and exercise our rights, to vocally protest, to demand accountability on the part of our government representatives, and at a minimum to care about the plight of our fellow Americans has been our downfall.

Now we find ourselves once again caught up in the spectacle of another presidential election, and once again the majority of Americans are acting as if this election will make a difference and bring about change. As if the new boss will be different from the old boss.

When in doubt, just remember what the astute commentator George Carlin had to say about the matter:

The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don’t. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls. They got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying. Lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want. They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well-informed, well-educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests. They want obedient workers. Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork…. It’s a big club and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club. …The table is tilted, folks. The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice…. Nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on…. It’s called the American Dream, ’cause you have to be asleep to believe it.

Will The 2020 Election Be The Beginning Of The End For Our System Of Government?

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The End of the American Dream.

Most Americans assume that our system of government could never fail, but the truth is that it is failing right in front of our eyes.  In order for our system of government to work, people need to be able to believe that their votes will count and that the outcomes of our elections will be fair.

For over 200 years, most Americans did have faith in the system, but now things are rapidly changing.  Here in 2020, we appear to be heading for a hotly contested result in the presidential election, and many on the losing side are inevitably going to believe that the election was stolen from them.  And day after day we just continue to see more examples that indicate the security of our elections is being compromised on a widespread basis.  Not too long ago, I wrote about the military ballots for Trump that had been discarded in a dumpster in Pennsylvania and the ballots that were discovered in a ditch in Wisconsin.  And now today I came across a report about how memory sticks that are “used to program Philadelphia’s voting machines” were stolen from a warehouse…

A laptop and several memory sticks used to program Philadelphia’s voting machines were stolen from a city warehouse in East Falls, officials confirmed Wednesday, setting off a scramble to investigate and to ensure the machines had not been compromised.

Though it remains unclear when the equipment was stolen, sources briefed on the investigation said the items vanished this week. The laptop belonged to an on-site employee for the company that supplies the machines. It and the USB drives were the only items believed to have been taken.

We will want to watch the results coming out of Philadelphia very carefully because the winner of Pennsylvania is probably going to win the presidency.

In 2012, 100 percent of the vote went to Barack Obama in precinct after precinct in Philly, and it will be very interesting to see if a similar pattern emerges during this election.

Elsewhere, James O’Keefe has just exposed an absolutely shocking “cash-for-ballots harvesting scheme” in Minnesota.  Apparently, people were being paid lots of money to collect absentee ballots from elderly individuals and fill them out for preferred Democratic candidates.  The following comes from a Newsweek report

“Just today we got 300 for Jamal Osman,” Mohamed says in the video. “I have 300 ballots in my car right now.”

“Numbers don’t lie. You can see my car is full. All these here are absentee ballots. Look, all these are for Jamal Osman.”

Mohamed can be seen showing white envelopes on his car’s dashboard in a video from July 1. Later in the Project Veritas video Mohamed says, “Money is the king in this world… and a campaign is driven by money.”

How can an election be legitimate when there is this sort of vote-buying going on?

And now with tens of millions of ballots going through the mail in 2020, it is going to be easier to “harvest” ballots than ever before

I just have such a bad feeling about what is going to happen in November.

For weeks, the mainstream media has been trying to convince us that President Trump will probably have a lead on election night but that Joe Biden will win once all of the mail-in ballots are finally counted.

Of course, it could take a really long time for all of those ballots to be counted, and meanwhile, all sorts of monkey business could be happening in the background that we don’t know anything about.

In the end, one side is going to end up bitterly disappointed and will feel like the election has been stolen.  If Trump wins many Biden supporters will believe it was because all of the votes were not fairly counted and if Biden wins many Trump supporters will believe that there was widespread fraud involving mail-in ballots.

We could very easily end up with a scenario where both candidates are declaring victory, and that could set up a very ugly constitutional crisis.  In one of his recent articles, James Howard Kunstler detailed one way that this could all play out

  • The complicit newspapers and cable news channels publish polls showing Joe Biden leading in several swing states, even if it’s not true.
  • Facebook and Twitter amplify expectations of a Biden victory.
  • This sets the stage for a furor when it turns out that he loses on election night.
  • On cue, Antifa commences to riot all around the country. Meanwhile, a mighty harvest of mail-in votes pours into election districts utterly unequipped to validate them.
  • Lawfare cadres agitate in the contested states’ legislatures to send rogue elector slates to the electoral college. The dispute ends up in congress, which awaits a seating of newly-elected representatives on January 4, hopefully for Lawfare, mostly Democrats. Whoops…!
  • Turns out, the Dems lost their majority there too. Fighting in the streets ramps up and overwhelms hamstrung police forces in Democratic-run cities.
  • January 20 — Inauguration Day — rolls around, and the Dems ask the military to drag Trump out of the White House “with great dispatch!” as Mr. Biden himself put it so nicely back in the summer.

I do believe that Trump will have a lead on election night.

In fact, it could be a very big lead.

Trump has been trashing voting by mail for months, and this is going to encourage most of his supporters to vote in person.  In fact, during the first presidential debate, Trump once again talked about potential problems with mail-in votes

In the final segment of the contentious debate between Trump and Democrat Joe Biden, Trump launched into an extended argument against mail voting, claiming without evidence that it is ripe for fraud and suggesting mail ballots may be “manipulated.”

“This is going to be a fraud like you’ve never seen,” the president said of the massive shift to mail voting prompted by the coronavirus pandemic.

And the Republican National Committee has also been making disparaging statements about voting by mail…

‘We always expected to be behind at this point as Democrats have made it their mission to push for an all-mail election that brings fraud and chaos into the system,’ said Republican National Committee spokesman Mike Reed. ‘You’ll see Democrats predominantly vote by mail, and our voters will come out in droves to vote in person, especially on Election Day.’

Those that follow my work on a regular basis already know how I feel about voting by mail.  I believe that Americans should be required to vote in person whenever possible because voting by mail just opens up so many opportunities for things to go wrong.

And many on the left are starting to realize this too.  For example, the following comes from a recent article by Derek Thompson

Mail votes require several steps, and different steps in different locations, including postmarking the ballots, signing in various places, and using the proper number of envelopes. For that reason, it can confuse first-time voters, and even experienced voters used to queuing at local high schools. Two studies of the 2018 midterm elections in Florida and Georgia found that young and minority voters are especially likely to have their mail ballots rejected.

For most of 2020, Democrats have been relentlessly promoting voting by mail, but now they are beginning to understand that could result in hundreds of thousands of their votes being thrown out.  In fact, it is being reported that more than half a million votes were “disqualified” during the 2020 primaries…

In the 2020 primaries, more than 550,000 mail and absentee ballots were disqualified, a much higher number than four years ago. The problem is especially severe in some swing states. More than 23,000 mailed ballots were rejected in the presidential primaries in Wisconsin—more than Donald Trump’s margin of victory in that state in 2016. Deep-blue districts have had the same problem: New York City alone threw out more than 84,000 ballots this primary season.

In the end, Democrats could be sabotaging their own efforts by pushing mail-in voting so much.  If Democrats vote by mail in much higher numbers than Republicans, they will also likely have their votes disqualified in much higher numbers too.

Right now, Democrats are requesting mail ballots at a much higher rate than Republicans are in quite a few key swing states…

Of the more than 9 million voters who requested mail ballots as of Monday in five critical states where the data is available – Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Maine and Iowa – 52 percent were Democrats, 28 percent were Republicans, and 20 percent were unaffiliated.

Additional internal Democratic and Republican Party data obtained by The Washington Post shows a similar trend in Ohio, Minnesota, New Hampshire and Wisconsin, the paper reported.

Many Republican operatives are deeply concerned about these numbers, but perhaps they shouldn’t be.

If Republicans show up in person at the polls in tremendous numbers, that could give Trump an enormous lead on election night.

Of course, Joe Biden will definitely not concede no matter how large the lead looks, and that will set the stage for weeks of legal wrangling over the counting of votes in multiple states.

Ultimately, we will probably have to wait a long time to see if the Democrats can come up with enough “mail-in ballots” to overcome Trump’s lead.

But this process is not going to be good for our nation no matter who ends up winning.

In fact, it is likely that millions of Americans will be so turned off by what happens that they will lose faith in the system permanently.

And once faith in our system is gone, it will be nearly impossible to get back.

Barack Obama Intelwars New York Times Ruth Bader Ginsburg Supreme Court

Report: Obama once tried to persuade Ginsburg to retire before crucial election, but she refused

Former President Barack Obama attempted to persuade Ruth Bader Ginsburg to retire prior to his presidential tenure ending, according to a new report.

The New York Times reported that Obama privately met with Ginsburg in July 2013 in an effort to curry favor with the Supreme Court justice, with the hopes of setting the foundation to Ginsburg’s retirement.

According to the Times, the looming 2014 midterm election is what jolted Obama into action.

From the Times:

Mr. Obama had asked his White House counsel, Kathryn Ruemmler, to set up the lunch so he could build a closer rapport with the justice, according to two people briefed on
the conversation. Treading cautiously, he did not directly bring up the subject of retirement to Justice Ginsburg, at 80 the Supreme Court’s oldest member and a two-time
cancer patient.

He did, however, raise the looming 2014 midterm elections and how Democrats might lose control of the Senate. Implicit in that conversation was the concern motivating his
lunch invitation — the possibility that if the Senate flipped, he would lose a chance to appoint a younger, liberal judge who could hold on to the seat for decades.

But the effort did not work, just as an earlier attempt by Senator Patrick Leahy, the Vermont Democrat who was then Judiciary Committee chairman, had failed. Justice
Ginsburg left Mr. Obama with the clear impression that she was committed to continuing her work on the court, according to those briefed.

Securing Ginsburg’s retirement would have allowed Obama to appoint his third Supreme Court justice, a likely left-leaning jurist who would have sat on the court for decades.

Unfortunately for Democrats, Obama’s political instincts were correct. Democrats lost their Senate majority in the 2014 midterm election, preventing Obama from filling the Supreme Court vacancy left by Antonin Scalia’s sudden death in February 2016. That electoral loss, coupled with Ginsburg’s refusal to retire, means Obama’s legacy on the federal judiciary will be overshadowed by Trump’s.

In fact, Trump has already had two Supreme Court nominees confirmed to the high court, and he is widely expected to announce his third nominee on Saturday: Amy Coney Barrett, a conservative judge on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Barrett’s confirmation is almost guaranteed as Senate Majority Mitch McConnell has already announced he has secured the votes necessary to confirm whoever Trump nominates.

If Barrett is, in fact, Trump’s nominee, and if she is confirmed to the high court, Trump’s presidency will have reshaped the Supreme Court for decades — and he still has potentially four more years to further that legacy.

Barack Obama Donald Trump Intelwars Supreme Court

President Trump has biting response for Barack Obama over filing SCOTUS vacancy

President Donald Trump had poignant words for his predecessor over the new Supreme Court vacancy.

In an essay commemorating Ruth Bader Ginsburg, former President Barack Obama suggested the high court’s vacancy must remain open in the spirit of “consistency.”

Obama wrote:

Four and a half years ago, when Republicans refused to hold a hearing or an up-or-down vote on Merrick Garland, they invented the principle that the Senate shouldn’t fill an open seat on the Supreme Court before a new president was sworn in. A basic principle of the law — and of everyday fairness — is that we apply rules with consistency, and not based on what’s convenient or advantageous in the moment. The rule of law, the legitimacy of our courts, the fundamental workings of our democracy all depend on that basic principle.

On Saturday, before traveling to North Carolina for a campaign rally, Trump responded to Obama’s request.

A reporter asked: “Sir, President Obama’s pick in 2016, Merrick Garland, didn’t get a chance to move forward. That was an election year. Why should your pick get a chance to move forward in an election year?”

Trump responded: “Well, that’s called ‘the consequences of losing an election.’ He lost the election. He didn’t have the votes. When you lose elections, sometimes things don’t work out well.”

Trump has said he and the Republican-controlled Senate will move forward to fulfill their constitutional duty of filling the Supreme Court vacancy.

Barack Obama Campaign 2020 Intelwars Joe Biden Ruth Bader Ginsburg Supreme Court

Barack Obama, Joe Biden perform total 180 on filling Supreme Court vacancy in election year

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama declared Friday the Supreme Court vacancy caused by Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death should not be filled until after the election.

Their position is a complete reversal of what they said in 2016, when Antonin Scalia’s sudden death left a vacancy on the high court just nine months before the presidential election.

What did Biden say in 2016?

In response to Republicans who vowed to not consider Obama’s nominee — Appellate Judge Merrick Garland — Biden said it is acceptable to move forward with Supreme Court hearings even just months before an election.

Biden’s comments,
made in March 2016, came in response to Republicans citing a speech he delivered in 1992 about election year Supreme Court nominations. He said:

They completely ignore the fact at the time I was speaking of the time of the dangers of nominating an extreme candidate without proper Senate consultation. They completely neglected to quote my unequivocal bottom line. So let me set the record straight as they say. I said, and I quote, “If the president consults and cooperates with the Senate or moderates his selection then nominees may enjoy my support as did Justice Kennedy and Justice Souter.”

I made it absolutely clear I would go forward with the confirmation process as chairman, even a few months ahead of a presidential election, if the nominee were chosen with the advise and not merely the consent of the Senate, just as the Constitution requires.”

But Biden said on Friday: “Let me be clear: The voters should pick a President, and that President should select a successor to Justice Ginsburg.”

What did Obama say in 2016?

Obama stated plainly that the Constitution requires the Senate to consider Supreme Court nominees, declaring that no rule exists stating that such consideration may only happen in non-election years.

“When there is a vacancy on the Supreme Court, the president is to nominate someone, the Senate is to consider that nomination, and either they disapprove of that nominee or that nominee is elevated to the Supreme Court,” Obama said in February 2016, just days after Scalia’s death.

“Historically, this has not been viewed as a question,” he continued. “There’s no unwritten law that says that it can only be done on off-years. That’s not in the constitutional text.”

But on Friday, Obama said: “Four and a half years ago, when Republicans refused to hold a hearing or an up-or-down vote on Merrick Garland, they invented the principle that the Senate shouldn’t fill an open seat on the Supreme Court before a new president was sworn in. A basic principle of the law — and of everyday fairness — is that we apply rules with consistency, and not based on what’s convenient or advantageous in the moment.”

Barack Obama Christian tybring-gjedde Donald Trump Intelwars ISRAEL Nobel Peace Prize United Arab Emirates

President Trump nominated for Nobel Peace Prize; person behind nomination slams Obama

President Donald Trump has officially been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of Norway’s Parliament, said Trump is deserving of the esteemed award because of his efforts to broker peaceful relationships between countries, specifically citing the historic peace treaty between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

What did Tybring-Gjedde say?

In an exclusive interview with Fox News, Tybring-Gjedde said the Nobel Prize Committee should examine Trump’s record, for they will find that it is much more impressive than former President Barack Obama’s.

Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009.

“For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees,” Tybring-Gjedde said.

“I’m not a big Trump supporter. The committee should look at the facts and judge him on the facts — not on the way he behaves sometimes,” the Norwegian lawmaker continued. “The people who have received the Peace Prize in recent years have done much less than Donald Trump. For example, Barack Obama did nothing.”

In his letter to the Nobel Prize Committee, Tybring-Gjedde explained the significance of the Israel-UAE peace deal.

“As it is expected other Middle Eastern countries will follow in the footsteps of the UAE, this agreement could be a game changer that will turn the Middle East into a region of cooperation and prosperity,” he wrote, adding Trump has played a “key role in facilitating contact between conflicting parties and … creating new dynamics in other protracted conflicts, such as the Kashmir border dispute between India and Pakistan, and the conflict between North and South Korea, as well as dealing with the nuclear capabilities of North Korea.”

“Indeed, Trump has broken a 39-year-old streak of American Presidents either starting a war or bringing the United States into an international armed conflict. The last president to avoid doing so was Peace Prize laureate Jimmy Carter,” Tybring-Gjedde went on to write.

Why did Obama win the prize?

According to the Nobel Prize Committee, Obama won the award for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.”

“Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future. His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world’s population,” the committee said in 2009.

In 2015, the ex-secretary of the Nobel Prize Committee, Geir Lundestad — who chaired the committee in 2009 — revealed he regretted giving Obama the award.

Barack Obama Intelwars Jacob blake NBA Nba boycott Nba strike

Barack Obama advised LeBron James and other players during their Jacob Blake social justice boycott

Former President Barack Obama reportedly advised top NBA players during their boycott last week in protest of the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the Athletic reported.

The NBA postponed two days of playoff games last week in response to the Blake shooting and subsequent protests and riots in Wisconsin. The protest began when the Milwaukee Bucks, without consulting other teams, decided at the last minute not to take the court for a playoff game against the Orlando Magic.

The call was reportedly initiated by Chris Paul, who is the president of the NBA players union, and included LeBron James and a small group of other players. CNN reported:

Katie Hill, a spokeswoman for Obama, told CNN in a statement, “As an avid basketball fan, President Obama speaks regularly with players and league officials. When asked, he was happy to provide advice on Wednesday night to a small group of NBA players seeking to leverage their immense platforms for good after their brave and inspiring strike in the wake of Jacob Blake’s shooting.”

“They discussed establishing a social justice committee to ensure that the players’ and league’s actions this week led to sustained, meaningful engagement on criminal justice and police reform.”

The league resumed play over the weekend, pointing to a decision by team owners to use NBA arenas as voting centers in November as a sign that the protest was successful. There were no predetermined goals for the spontaneous protest, so part of the challenge for the league was to figure out what exactly players wanted in order to start playing again.

The protest began Wednesday, and players met Wednesday night. James and Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard reportedly were adamant about cancelling the rest of the playoffs. CBS Sports reported that James didn’t feel like the team owners were doing enough, although what specifically that means in the context of police shootings is unclear.

Obama spoke with the players Wednesday night as well. By Thursday morning, again without detailed explanation, James had reportedly changed his mind and decided that it would be best for the season to continue.

NBA ratings have been down all season, even dating back to before COVID-19, and have continued to decrease since play resumed in July.

Has The Civil War Has Begun? Left Vs. Right Violence, Just Like The Elites Want

Americans are hopelessly devolved into a dangerous left vs. right paradigm that has now erupted.  This is just what the elitists wanted when they planned the destruction of the United States, and angry voters on both sides are playing the pawns for those attempting to cement the totalitarian enslavement of humanity.

This “civil war” is going to be blamed on conservatives, Donald Trump supporters, and those who pretend they want freedom while also voting for the guy who says he’s going to use the military to distribute a vaccine. You cannot make this stuff up. It’s 2020, and I guess that just means most are going to put on their blinders and make sure they harden their stance with their political cult and allow it to drive their decisions, which are becoming increasingly violent and already predetermined by the mind control and propaganda games the elites contrive.

The Angry Prepper makes the case that the civil war planned by the elites has arrived:

It was announced on Facebook, that The “Trump Cruise Rally” that would drive into the dark heart of strife-riven Portland, Oregon. It was also touted as “conceal carry ONLY!” and began at the Clackamas Town Center.  This was nothing more than an instigation, yet the media is painting the Trump supporters as akin to the Taliban.

Both sides are wrong here and both are simply acting like pawns of the globalists willing to do violence to keep a particular slave master calling the shots. Instead of working together to take down the real enemy, Americans have turned on each other, as has been the plan of the elitists for a long time.  This is all likely to escalate through the elections.

Trump and his predecessor, Barack Obama have both laid the groundwork for the division we are seeing, even though both are on the same side: the side of the international banking cartel and cabalists. If you can’t see it by now, the elitists have already enslaved your mind. For example, Richie from Boston and Brian from High Impact Flix and High Impact Vlogs were both censored by YouTube for calling out the left/right paradigm and making videos proving Trump is a part of all of this and the military is training to arrest and detain American citizens.

Richie from Boston Backup channel

High Impact Tv, Brian’s backup channel

Those censored now, are calling out the entire system, uniting together, and elimination the entire system of control we’ve stuck in for centuries. The elites can’t have that. They need people divided and to show up and vote in the rigged system that they are tightening around all of our necks. Wake up!

Remember, the elitists have already done an “Event 201” style model for this year’s election.  The worst-case scenario, according to their models is going to come from an election that’s contested over Biden winning the popular vote and Trump winning the electoral college. They have literally already planned this out. Your vote will be a waste of time but will also be a signal to the elites that you approve of and will continue to participate in their rigged game of slavery.

Barack Obama Bernie Sanders Campaign 2020 democratic party Intelwars Joe Biden

Obama admits: So-called moderate Joe Biden is ‘not that different’ from far-left Bernie Sanders

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is campaigning as a moderate, and the media worked overtime to present his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), not as a far-left lawmaker, but as a moderate that a plurality of Americans could support.

But according to former President Barack Obama, Biden is “not that different” from socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

What did Obama say?

Sanders supports single-payer health care, ridiculously high taxes, the Green New Deal, free college education, raising the minimum wage, cancelling student loan debt, among other far-left policies.

Obama told New Yorker magazine that, from a “40,000-foot level,” Biden and Sanders are not too dissimilar.

“If you look at Joe Biden’s goals and Bernie Sanders’s goals, they’re not that different, from a 40,000-foot level,” Obama admitted.

“They both want to make sure everybody has health care. They want to make sure everybody can get a job that pays a living wage. They want to make sure every child gets a good education,” Obama continued.

The Democratic Party was deeply divided during the primary. On one side stood the Democratic establishment, which backed Biden. On the other side was the progressive-wing of the party — the party’s youth and diversity — which backed Sanders. When it became clear Biden would be the nominee, questions arose about whether Biden could appeal to far-left Democrats.

According to Obama, Biden has moved further left — but he said any changes are merely circumstantial.

“A lot of times, the issue has to do with ‘How do we go about that, and what are the coalitions we need?'” Obama said. “What I think the moment has done is to change some of those calculations, not because necessarily Joe’s changed but because circumstances have changed.”

What exactly are Biden’s positions?

Indeed, many of his official policy positions align with what progressives advocate.

Biden supports raising taxes on wealthy Americans, raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour, believes at least two years of college should be free, wants to expand the Affordable Care Act, wants to enact a national firearm registry, among other positions.

However, Biden does not support universal health care, but he does “embrace” much of the Green New Deal, Slate reported.

Obama takes direct aim at Trump in DNC speech: ‘Donald Trump hasn’t grown into the job because he can’t’

Former President Barack Obama launched his most direct attack ever against President Donald Trump during his Democratic National Convention speech Wednesday night, spending the first several minutes of the speech criticizing Trump before even mentioning Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

Obama’s speech carried a similar tone toward President Trump as his wife Michelle’s speech earlier in the week, taking a tone of disappointed acceptance that the president is not going to change for the better, and therefore it’s important for voters to show up for Biden in November.

I have sat in the Oval Office with both of the men who are running for president. I never expected that my successor would embrace my vision or continue my policies. I did hope, for the sake of our country, that Donald Trump might show some interest in taking the job seriously; that he might come to feel the weight of the office and discover some reverence for the democracy that had been placed in his care.

But he never did. For close to four years now, he’s shown no interest in putting in the work; no interest in finding common ground; no interest in using the awesome power of his office to help anyone but himself and his friends; no interest in treating the presidency as anything but one more reality show that he can use to get the attention he craves.

Donald Trump hasn’t grown into the job because he can’t. And the consequences of that failure are severe. 170,000 Americans dead. Millions of jobs gone while those at the top take in more than ever. Our worst impulses unleashed, our proud reputation around the world badly diminished, and our democratic institutions threatened like never before.

Barack Obama’s fiery DNC speech in full

The speech highlights the consistent dynamic of the Democrats’ approach to this election — that it’s much more about opposing and eliminating President Trump than it is about Biden’s quality as a nominee.

Throughout the 2020 primary, Biden’s biggest strength and primary appeal to Democratic voters is his ability to win a general election against Trump, which allowed him to secure the nomination despite not being the strongest candidate in terms of progressive policies or the party’s desire for a female or minority nominee.

Even as voters rejected Biden in early primary elections, when it became clear that the alternative was a Bernie Sanders nomination, Democrats rallied around Biden with high-profile endorsements to resurrect Biden’s near-dead candidacy.

Obama and other top Democrats seem aware of the potential that Biden, as a relatively uninspiring candidate, could fail to generate the turnout needed to win in November, and many of their appeals to voters have focused on asking them not to stay home even if they’re discouraged about the current state of the nation’s politics.

“We can’t let that happen,” Obama said. “Do not let them take away your power. Don’t let them take away your democracy. Make a plan right now for how you’re going to get involved and vote.”

President Trump fires back at Michelle Obama with cold hard truth over DNC speech attacks

President Donald Trump fired back at Michelle Obama on Tuesday after the former first lady launched a broadside against him during the first night of the Democratic National Convention.

What did Obama say?

In a lengthy speech, Obama invoked “going high” — but proceeded to bash Trump and blame him for all of the problems facing America. Obama called it the “cold hard truth.”

“So let me be as honest and clear as I possibly can. Donald Trump is the wrong president for our country. He has had more than enough time to prove that he can do the job, but he is clearly in over his head. He cannot meet this moment. He simply cannot be who we need him to be for us. It is what it is,” she said.

In sum, Obama blamed Trump for the economic peril facing America due to the coronavirus and claimed the Trump White House represents “chaos, division, and a total and utter lack of empathy.”

Michelle Obama’s 2020 Democratic National Convention Speech | FULL

How did Trump respond?

Writing on Twitter, Trump hit back at the idea that the Obama presidency was a period of flourishing for America — which Michelle insinuated — and plainly explained that he is only president because, in the 2016 election, Americans were responding to the eight years of Obama’s presidency.

“Somebody please explain to @MichelleObama that Donald J. Trump would not be here, in the beautiful White House, if it weren’t for the job done by your husband, Barack Obama. Biden was merely an afterthought, a good reason for that very late & unenthusiastic endorsement,” Trump said.

He added, “My Administration and I built the greatest economy in history, of any country, turned it off, saved millions of lives, and now am building an even greater economy than it was before. Jobs are flowing, NASDAQ is already at a record high, the rest to follow. Sit back & watch!”

Indeed, Trump’s election was likely a reaction to the Obama years, and Trump himself often cites the “silent majority” — those Americans whom the powerful and elite ignore — as having helped elect him.

In fact, Obama reportedly saw Trump’s election as a personal insult, that despite every accomplishment he thought happened under his watch, Americans still chose Trump over his appointed Democratic successor, Hillary Clinton.

Barack Obama Intelwars Obama environment Obama hawaii Obama magnum pi Obama seawall

Obama, longtime friend reportedly bypass environmental protection laws to construct Hawaiian beachside villa

An oceanfront property in Hawaii, where Barack Obama reportedly plans to spend retirement, bypassed coastal environmental protections to keep in place a beach-eroding seawall, ProPublica reported over the weekend.

Running along the $8.7 million compound in Oahu where “Magnum P.I.” was filmed in the 1980s is a century-old edifice that, judging from pictures, has all but completely eliminated the beach fronting the property.

Yet when longtime Obama friend Marty Nesbitt acquired the property in 2015, instead of choosing to remove the seawall — the apparently environmentally friendly thing to do — he instead proposed an expansion to it, according to permits.

To keep the seawall in place, the sellers of the property allegedly used a planning loophole called an easement, essentially leasing the land below the seawall to the government for a one-time cost of $61,400. The move bought the seawall legal status for another 55 years.

Then after purchasing the property, Nesbitt filed for an exemption so that builders could spend another $3.2 million to renovate and expand the seawall, a move that reportedly angered community members.

Obama and the beach house loopholes

According to the report, “community members are now rallying against the proposed seawall expansion … some are directing their criticism at Obama, who staked his legacy, in part, on fighting climate change and promoting environmental sustainability.”

Scientists say that seawalls are the primary cause of beach loss in Hawaii and estimate that 20% of beach length in the state has been lost within the last century.

While modern laws have been developed to protect the state’s beaches, they have failed to do so as a result of as real estate loopholes, such as easements, often used to bypass the policies.

One might think that Nesbitt and Obama, who made environmental protection a major platform of his presidency, would be different and take the environmentally friendly action no matter the cost, but that appears not to be the case.

Permits obtained by ProPublica reportedly show that developers, after having torn down the property’s mansion, are planning to construct three homes, two pools, and a security perimeter on the property.

State officials confirmed to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser and ProPublica that the Obamas will be the compound’s future occupants once the project is complete.

Obama doubts Joe Biden’s 2020 chances in private, warns Biden will ‘f**k things up’: report

Former President Barack Obama has publicly supported Joe Biden’s bid for the White House. But behind closed doors, Obama has reportedly bashed his vice president.

What are the details?

Despite Biden often touting a best-friend relationship between himself and Obama, there are “lingering tensions” between the 44th president and Biden, according to a lengthy Politico magazine story.

Those tensions were highlighted during the 2016 election when Obama eagerly endorsed Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and again in 2020 when Obama declined to endorse a candidate in the Democratic primary, Politico noted.

One Democratic strategist who anonymously spoke to Politico claimed Obama has privately dismissed Biden’s electoral prowess.

“Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up,” the strategist claimed Obama told him.

Last year, Obama reportedly told a 2020 candidate that Biden severely lacked the ability to connect with the Democratic electorate, especially in Iowa.

“And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden,” Obama said, Politico reported.

Biden aides have even highlighted differences in Obama’s endorsement of Clinton to his endorsement of Biden as evidence Obama lacks faith in Biden’s ability to be victorious on the campaign trail.

From Politico:

Biden and his aides often act like they have something to prove to the Obama team that doubted them. Some Biden allies noted that Obama’s endorsement of Biden, when it finally arrived, lacked the effusiveness of his endorsement of Clinton. “I don’t think there’s ever been someone so qualified to hold this office,” he said of Clinton in his video message in 2016. Four years later, in his endorsement video for Biden, he said: “I believe Joe has all of the qualities we need in a president right now … and I know he will surround himself with good people.”

According to Leon Panetta, defense secretary during the Obama administration, Biden has often felt as if his loyalty toward Obama was not repaid in-kind.

“He was loyal, I think, to Obama in every way in terms of defending and standing by him, even probably when he disagreed with what Obama was doing,” Panetta told Politico. “To some extent, [he] oftentimes felt that that loyalty was not being rewarded.”

What is happening now?

Despite the apparent rocky relationship between the former president and vice president, Obama will headline the Democratic National Convention next week to officially nominate Biden as the Democratic Party’s 2020 nominee.

Appropriations Appropriations Clause Barack Obama CURRENT EVENTS Donald Trump federal spending Intelwars

Only Congress Can Spend Federal Monies

No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in consequence of Appropriations made by Law.
-U.S. Constitution, Article I, section 9

Congress and the White House have been at loggerheads for weeks on the next phase of federal aid to those suffering financially and who lost jobs because of governor-mandated lockdown orders in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. At last count, more than 30 million Americans who had full-time jobs a year ago are today unemployed.

All states have unemployment compensation for which employees and employers make regular contributions. The payments of compensation are calculated as a percentage of income earned in the year before the job loss. Obviously, this number is different for all people, and it varies from state to state.

Embarrassed that it was caught flat-footed in the failure of leadership over the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government — pursuant to appropriations made by law — borrowed $3 trillion in April, May and June of this year and shipped out nearly all of it to small businesses and individuals. It gave $600 a week in unemployment compensation to those out of work, irrespective of their 2019 earnings and in addition to whatever state funds these folks received.

This is the worst way out of this politically induced recession. Borrowing and giving away money will just postpone the day of reckoning. Rather, the feds should cut taxes and spending drastically, and give tax credits to businesses for each person hired. The states, in turn, should permit those who want to operate their businesses to do so, with their customers and employees assuming the risk of patronage or employment.

But don’t hold your breath for these free market solutions to happen. It would mean a loss of control for the government.

Shortly before the $600 weekly payments ended two weeks ago, Congress began negotiating with the White House for a continuation of the payments. The House Democrats want to borrow and give away another $3 trillion, much of it to bail out cities and states hard hit by the loss of tax revenue. The White House wants to borrow and give away $1 trillion, but only in direct payments to businesses and individuals.

When it became apparent that a compromise could not be reached and Congress would not vote to extend the federal unemployment compensation to individuals, President Donald Trump ordered the Treasury to pay all unemployed people $300 a week, provided the states pay them $100 a week, in addition to their state unemployment compensation.

How can the president spend money that has not been appropriated by law?

Here is the backstory.

The Constitution champions the well-accepted structures of government known as the separation of powers and federalism.

Under the separation of powers, Congress writes the laws, the president enforces them, and the judiciary decides what the laws mean and if they are constitutional. Since federal monies can only be spent by legislation, and since only Congress writes federal laws, only it can enact legislation that spends federal monies.

I use the phrase “federal monies” rather than “federal funds” or “taxpayer dollars” because the federal government is broke. It owes $26.5 trillion to its creditors. So, whatever monies Congress gives away, it must first borrow.

But whether Congress is giving away taxpayer dollars, buying battleships or borrowing money, it must do so by legislation. We know this because the separation of powers prohibits the president or the courts from doing Congress’ job. We also know this because the Constitution expressly states in Article I, section 9, that no money shall be spent except when appropriated by law.

Stated differently, the Treasury cannot legally borrow or spend a nickel unless it has been expressly authorized to do so by law — meaning by legislation enacted by Congress. This is neither a novel nor a political observation. It is Constitutional Law 101.

Thus, when the president — no matter his goals — attempts to exercise power that the Constitution has given exclusively to Congress, it is the duty of the courts to stop him.

It is similarly the duty of the courts to enjoin the president from enforcing any law or taking any action that violates the principle of federalism. This principle mandates state sovereignty and independence in areas of governance reserved to the states. Federalism is mandated as well by the Guarantee Clause of the Constitution.

According to the Supreme Court, that clause means that state officials decide how to employ state assets and spend state funds. Stated differently, neither the president nor Congress can tell the states that they must spend $100 a week on unemployed people in their states.

Inasmuch as Trump’s executive order has the state contribution of $100 a week per person as a trigger for individuals to receive the federally borrowed $300 a week, the executive order is not only doubly unconstitutional, it is functionless as an instrument of aid. Rather, it is an instrument of politics only.

Not too long ago, an American president asked Congress to change immigration laws. When it refused to do as this president asked, he boasted that he could govern more effectively than Congress using his phone and pen. He then signed 24 executive orders purporting to accomplish what he had requested of Congress. One of the candidates running to succeed him blasted this unconstitutional presidential behavior and denounced this president.

The president was Barack Obama and the candidate was Donald Trump. How different the world must look from inside 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. when looking out than from outside looking in. Yet, the Constitution remains the same. It is the supreme law of the land. And, as such, all government behavior is only lawful when it is subordinate to it, no matter what any president says.

Barack Obama Coronavirus relief Donald Trump HYPOCRISY Intelwars Nancy Pelosi payroll tax cut

Nancy Pelosi bashes Trump for signing payroll tax cut. But she loved it when Obama was president.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi harshly condemned President Donald Trump for taking executive action on Saturday in response to Congress’s failure to pass a second coronavirus relief package.

In a joint statement with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Pelosi claimed the president’s action “endanger[s] seniors’ Social Security and Medicare.” That’s because, in an effort to help Americans financially, Trump signed an executive order deferring payroll taxes — known as the “FICA” tax, which funds Social Security and Medicare — through the end of the year.

The move puts more money directly into the pockets of Americans. Still, Pelosi made it clear she was angered by Trump’s action.

“While he says he’s going to do the payroll tax, what he’s doing is undermining Social Security and Medicare, so these are illusions,” she claimed on “Fox News Sunday.”

As it turns out, Pelosi’s posture is a hypocritical about-face.

What did Pelosi say before?

When Barack Obama, a Democrat, was in the White House, Pelosi supported a unilateral payroll tax reduction — not once, not twice, but three times.

In 2010, Obama announced a payroll tax cut — from 6.2% to 4.2% — that he said would “create jobs and boost economic growth.” When Congress extended the tax cut one year later, Pelosi celebrated the measure as a “victory for all Americans.”

Pelosi said at the time:

Today is a victory for all Americans — for the security of our middle class, for the health of our seniors, and for economic growth and job creation. The American people spoke out clearly and, thanks to President Obama’s leadership, 160 million Americans will continue to receive their payroll tax cut – nearly $40 per paycheck in the pockets of the average family. I salute the work of the unified House Democratic caucus on behalf of the American people.

Then, when Congress extended the cut again in 2012, Pelosi justified the action as “necessary because our economy and our people need this boost.”

In an interview with PBS, Pelosi went on to say that she did not think the temporary payroll tax cut endangered Social Security and Medicare — despite now, of course, changing her tune completely.

“The [Social Security and Medicare] trust fund can handle that,” Pelosi explained matter-of-factly.

Barack Obama Depression Intelwars Michelle Obama President Trump Quarantine depression Racial injustice depression Trump administration

Michelle Obama blames President Trump for contributing to her ‘low-grade depression’

Former first lady Michelle Obama announced that she is suffering from depression, adding that President Donald Trump is one of the contributing factors.

Obama started her own podcast in late July, and the first episode featured her husband, Barack Obama. In the second episode of “The Michelle Obama Podcast,” the former first lady admitted that she is currently dealing with “low-grade depression” brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, racial injustice, and the “hypocrisy” of the Trump administration.

“I’m waking up in the middle of the night because I’m worrying about something or there’s a heaviness,” Obama said Wednesday. “These are not, they are not fulfilling times, spiritually. I know that I am dealing with some form of low-grade depression.

“Not just because of the quarantine, but because of the racial strife, and just seeing this administration, watching the hypocrisy of it, day in and day out, is dispiriting,” Obama said during her interview with former Washington Post opinion columnist and NPR host Michele Norris.

“‘I’d be remiss to say that part of this depression is also a result of what we’re seeing in terms of the protests, the continued racial unrest, that has plagued this country since its birth,” she said.

“I have to say that waking up to the news, waking up to how this administration has or has not responded, waking up to yet another story of a black man or a black person somehow being dehumanized or hurt or killed or falsely accused of something, it is exhausting,” Obama said on her eponymous podcast. “And it has led to a weight that I haven’t felt in my life in a while.

“I’ve gone through those emotional highs and lows that I think everybody feels, where you just don’t feel yourself,” she said.

Obama, 56, added that there have been “periods throughout this quarantine, where I just have felt too low” to work out.

People magazine reported, “Obama said she has ‘had to give myself … those days, those moments’ where she accepts that she’s not feeling normal and takes a break from what she’s doing — whether that means shutting off her phone and taking a moment to sit in silence by herself, or spending time with her husband, former President Barack Obama, and their two college-age daughters, Malia and Sasha.”

In April, the former first lady urged Washington, D.C., residents to stay home, “except for essential trips for food, medicine or exercise.” Two days before the message was posted on social media, her husband was seen golfing at a Virginia golf course 40 miles from his home.

Also during this week’s podcast, Obama attempted to understand why anyone would oppose Black Lives Matter.

“I mean, it’s easy for us, as people of color, to demonize folks who are out there protesting against Black Lives Matter. They’re not right in their positions, but their fears are coming from somewhere,” she said. “Because folks aren’t just crazy. You know, folks are out there trying to work and trying to keep it together, and when you can’t do it, and when things feel stacked against you, as many of the people who are afraid are, then you lash out.”

A Black Lives Matter founder previously admitted that the organization’s creators are “trained Marxists.” The Black Lives Matter organization revealed that one of its goals is to “get Trump out.” BLM openly calls for a restructuring of the family, declaring that the nuclear family is a “capitalist invention.”

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has said that he would select Michelle Obama as his vice president “in a heartbeat.”

However, Obama has been consistent in saying that she does not want to run for political office.

At the South by Southwest festival in March 2016, she stated, “I will not run for president. No, nope, not going to do it.”

She added that her children have “handled it (the presidency) with grace and with poise, but enough is enough.”

Obama appeared on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” show in February 2018, where she was asked if she was ever asked to run for political office.

“All the time. But I’ve never had any serious conversations with anyone about it because it’s not something I’m interested in or would ever do,” she replied. “Ever.”

Despite saying that she doesn’t want to be a political leader, supporters of the Committee to Draft Michelle Obama for VP wrote an open letter to Biden on Tuesday, urging him to pick her as his running mate.

“As a candidate, she has the power not only to assure victory over Donald Trump but to unite a bitterly divided nation and continue her life’s tireless work for the American people. As a leader, her stature and preexisting rapport with heads of state are unparalleled,” the letter said.

Dr. Alveda King rips Obama for politicizing John Lewis’ funeral: Leftists will ‘grab at any opportunity’

Former President Barack Obama delivered the eulogy at the funeral of John Lewis in Atlanta on Thursday. While paying tribute to the civil rights pioneer at the famed Ebenezer Baptist Church, Obama utilized the widely-viewed platform to take jabs at President Donald Trump.

“As we sit here, there are those in power who are doing their darnedest to discourage people from voting by closing polling locations and targeting minorities…even undermining the postal service in the run-up to an election that’s going to be dependent on mail-in ballots so people don’t get sick,” Obama said of mail-in voting, which Trump has been vehemently against.

“George Wallace may be gone, but we can still witness our federal government sending agents to use tear gas and batons against peaceful demonstrators,” Obama said, referring to the pro-segregation Democratic governor of Alabama in the 1960s.

Dr. Alveda King, the niece of civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr., ripped Obama for politicizing the Lewis funeral service.

“Well, I guess we should have expected that the Left, including President Obama, would take that occasion for a political moment,” King said during an interview on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.” “They’ll grab at any opportunity, that’s to be understood.”

“I have chosen not to politicize the death of congressman Lewis, but to remember him as a peaceful, nonviolent warrior, and encourage everyone to resolve our conflicts peacefully,” King said of Lewis, who at the age of 23 was a keynote speaker at 1963’s March on Washington, where Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his powerful “I Have a Dream” speech.

“However, President Obama, with word play, took us back to the 1960’s, and that was a time when segregation was still on the books, segregation was still legal, and those in power, some of them were trying to enforce that and keep that,” King added. “Today, when the National Guard goes in, sent by the president for example, or the state troopers, they’re trying to protect the people of America in every community and to save lives and protect people. There is a totally distinct difference.”

“Also implying without calling any names, he was very clever not to call any names, saying that there was an effort to undermine the voting process,” King said. “You know, actually President Trump is saying, people, please pay attention, we do want you to vote, use your absentee ballots, go to the polls.”

“He’s even encouraged, you know, people to be poll watchers and poll workers and that kind of thing. President Trump is not trying to suppress the vote,” she continued. “As a matter of fact, you can see in my community, I’m telling everybody, make sure you vote, register to vote, pastors and leaders, encourage your people to vote. We do want people to vote safely and we need the voting process to be fair, and so to politicize the funeral of a peaceful warrior, I mean, I guess they grabbed at an opportunity to be political.”

Barack Obama Donald Trump Federal agents George Wallace Intelwars John Lewis

Obama compares Trump’s use of federal agents against riots to George Wallace’s segregation tactics

Former President Barack Obama made some pointedly political remarks during his eulogy for the late congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis on Thursday, taking aim at President Donald Trump’s use of federal agents to quell riots across the country, according to Forbes.

Former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton also spoke during the funeral, and former President Jimmy Carter sent a letter that was read. Trump had no role in the ceremony, but he was clearly on Obama’s mind.

“Bull Connor might be gone, but today we witness with our own eyes, police officers kneeling on the necks of black Americans,” Obama said. “George Wallace may be gone, but we can still witness our federal government sending agents to use tear gas and batons against peaceful demonstrators.”

Under the governorship of George Wallace in Alabama, authorities responded violently to voting rights protests. Wallace was an enthusiastic supporter of racial segregation and discrimination for much of his political career.

Obama also took a thinly-veiled shot at President Trump on the topic of mail-in voting, accusing the president of attempting to suppress the vote by sabotaging the postal service.

“As we sit here, there are those in power who are doing their darnedest to discourage people from voting by closing polling locations and targeting minorities…even undermining the postal service in the run-up to an election that’s going to be dependent on mail-in ballots so people don’t get sick,” Obama said.

President Trump caused a stir Thursday morning with a tweet in which he suggested that the election be delayed because universal mail-in voting would create unprecedented levels of election fraud.

“With universal mail-in voting (not absentee voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most inaccurate and fraudulent election in history,” Trump wrote. “It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the election until people can properly, securely, and safely vote?”

Accusations against Trump of sabotaging the postal service come from recent USPS changes that could slow mail delivery as the election approaches.

“Overtime will be eliminated…If the plants run late they will keep the mail for the next day,” an internal USPS memo reads, according to Fortune. “If we cannot deliver all the mail due to call offs or shortages of people and you have no other help, the mail will not go out.”

The changes are reportedly for the purpose of saving money during difficult financial times.

Barack Obama civil rights civil rights movement Intelwars John Lewis

Civil rights icon John Lewis passes away after battle with cancer: ‘He loved this country so much’

John Lewis, the civil rights icon and longtime congressman, died Friday night. He was 80.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Lewis’ death, and details about his passing were not immediately available. Lewis had been battling Stage 4 pancreatic cancer since last December.

Lewis will be remembered for courageously preaching nonviolence during the height of the civil rights movement in the 1960s, all the while enduring beatings and being jailed. Lewis, at age 23, even spoke in Washington, D.C., at the Lincoln Monument the same day that Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech.

Lewis would go on to serve in the halls of Congress for more than three decades, where he carried forward the spirit of the civil rights era and became known as the “Conscience of the Congress.”

In a statement, the Lewis family said:

It is with inconsolable grief and enduring sadness that we announce the passing of U.S. Rep. John Lewis. He was honored and respected as the conscience of the US Congress and an icon of American history, but we knew him as a loving father and brother. He was a stalwart champion in the on-going struggle to demand respect for the dignity and worth of every human being. He dedicated his entire life to non-violent activism and was an outspoken advocate in the struggle for equal justice in America. He will be deeply missed.

In an essay reflecting on Lewis’ legacy, former President Barack Obama said that Lewis had an “enormous impact on the history of this country.”

“He loved this country so much that he risked his life and his blood so that it might live up to its promise. And through the decades, he not only gave all of himself to the cause of freedom and justice, but inspired generations that followed to try to live up to his example,” Obama wrote.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) also released a lengthy statement praising Lewis and his accomplishments.

“The Senate and the nation mourn the loss of Congressman John Lewis, a pioneering civil rights leader who put his life on the line to fight racism, promote equal rights, and bring our nation into greater alignment with its founding principles,” he said, The Hill reported. “Our great nation’s history has only bent towards justice because great men like John Lewis took it upon themselves to help bend it. Our nation will never forget this American hero.”

Barack Obama central banking Donald Trump enslave the world evil institution false illusions figure it out Great Reset Greg Mannarino Headline News Humanity Intelwars leave the system. create money massive lies Masters New World Order one party own the world Politics Public Enemy save yourself slaves Stockholm Syndrome The Federal Reserve The Matrix time to wake up weaker dollar yield curve control

Greg Mannarino: “The Fed Is About To Sell You ANOTHER MASSIVE LIE!”

The Federal Reserve is about to sell Americans another massive lie, so be prepared for what’s coming. Greg Mannarino says the central bank is preparing to do untold devastating damage to those living in the United States in their quest to enslave humanity.

This situation, according to Mannarino is critical to understand.  “You should not be surprised” by the “screaming rally,” says Mannarino. But, the dollar go weaker, which is also no surprise, but the Fed’s massive lie is what you should be aware of.

The Fed president will come out and try to sell lies to you. “I consider the Federal Reserve public enemy number one…Everything they’re doing, especially now, as they’re trying to fulfill their final solution is NOT in your best interest.” Mannarino says you have to understand the creation of the Federal Reserve, a central bank that controls and manipulates currency, took place in 1913, and it’s a date that will live in infamy, and one none of us should forget or dare to repeat if we can even come out of this.

It All Comes Back To The Federal Reserve: The NWO Is Being Shoved Down Our Throats

In 1913, that’s when they “started working their plan. And they’ve had a plan since day one! Their plan since day one is to do what they’re doing today! That is, to be the lender and buyer of last resort so that they can own, not just the United States, but the entire world. It is unstoppable.”

Next, Mannarino warns that he’s going to touch on politics, and tells people to “sit down.” People hate having their false illusions and the masters they’ve developed Stockholm Syndrome because of shattered. So if you’re easily triggered by facts, this is your warning.

“No two presidents have been a better friend to the Federal Reserve than Barack Obama and President Trump. Both of these men have the Federal Reserve, not just LET, but have CALLED ON the Federal Reserve to run amok. No restraint whatsoever. Print, print, print, create cash out of thin air, buy the debt, buy assets,” Mannarino says.

The Banking Cartel Cult’s MO: How They Rob Us Of Real Wealth

Fed president Lael Brainard is now trying to sell us all on a lie. “I do NOT want you to buy it,” says Mannarino. Other Fed presidents will try to sell this lie as well.  This is imperative to understand: Yield curve control.

“They’re trying to sell you a lie that they’re considering yield curve control. Let me explain…The Federal Reserve has been DIRECTLY, not indirectly, DIRECTLY controlling the yield curve since quantitative easing one. I’ve said this a million times…I want you to pay attention to this…the Fed, number one, has NO MAGICAL POWERS, though they are the most evil institution on the face of the earth.” –Greg Mannarino

Mannarino explains that when the Fed says they will “suppress rates” or they will “keep them low,” and you have a president of the United States (Donald Trump) calling for negative rates, the Federal Reserve has to create cash out of thin air in “epic amounts.” And they have to get into the debt market an buy the debt. Why? So that when the wave of defaults, that they caused with the phony lockdown scam comes, they will own the world because people cannot pay.

It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning. –Henry Ford

“We have not seen anything yet,” added Mannarino. “In order for the Federal Reserve to finish it’s plan [own the planet], which we’re in the heart of it right now, they’re funneling trillions of dollars around the world to other central banks to buy assets. They themselves are being called upon by members of Congress…to do MORE! Do you understand? It’s ONE PARTY. Democrats and Republicans all go to the Federal Reserve and that helps them fulfill their goal.”

Will they succeed in total enslavement? Well, that’s up to us. As of right now, there’s no way out. People still believe the government will save them and that voting matters. Until they open their eyes, they are dooming us all to lifelong slavery. No one is coming to save you. The government is working with the Fed to enslave you. “This is the truth. This is why the Fed was created,” Mannarino says. Your inability to break your own brainwashing does not negate facts.  “Do a little research and understand how the Fed works,” suggests Mannarino.  It’s critical to understand this, but it’s your responsibility too, which means most will just cast a vote because that’s much easier than the application of critical thought.

You have to save yourself. This is a war for your mind, and republican or democrat, they’ve got most of you and you don’t even know it. Your participation in the system is required as a distraction only and while you all bicker about which senile old man will be your master, the Federal Reserve continues on its warpath against you and everyone else.

Barack Obama Coronavirus H1N1 H1n1 response Intelwars Joe Biden President Trump SWINE FLU

FLASHBACK: Obama administration shut down H1N1 testing, undercutting Biden’s COVID-19 attacks on Trump

Joe Biden continues to attack President Donald Trump over his response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Donald Trump forgot about COVID-19, but COVID-19 didn’t forget about us,” Biden tweeted in June. “The President couldn’t wish away the virus in April, he couldn’t tweet it away in May, and he can’t ignore it away in June.”

“Remember back in March … we talked about the need to act like we were at war with the virus,” Biden said of Trump in late June. “He called himself a wartime president … What happened? Now, it’s almost July, and it seems like our wartime president has surrendered, waved … the white flag and left the battlefield.”

A few weeks ago, Biden told Trump to “speed up the testing.”

“The crisis in Arizona is the direct result of Donald Trump’s failure to lead and his desire to ‘slow the testing down,’ and Americans are suffering the consequences,” Biden said on Wednesday.

However, back in 2009 during the swine flu pandemic, the Obama administration instructed states to shut down testing for H1N1 and stop counting cases of the deadly respiratory disease.

In October 2009, CBS News released the findings from a three-month-long investigation into how the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were reporting H1N1 cases during the swine flu pandemic.

“In late July, the CDC abruptly advised states to stop testing for H1N1 flu, and stopped counting individual cases,” CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson wrote. “The rationale given for the CDC guidance to forego testing and tracking individual cases was: why waste resources testing for H1N1 flu when the government has already confirmed there’s an epidemic?”

“Some public health officials privately disagreed with the decision to stop testing and counting, telling CBS News that continued tracking of this new and possibly changing virus was important because H1N1 has a different epidemiology, affects younger people more than seasonal flu and has been shown to have a higher case fatality rate than other flu virus strains,” the report said.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website confirms the CBS News report.

“Individual case counts were kept early during the 2009 H1N1 outbreak when the 2009 H1N1 virus first emerged,” the CDC website reads. “As the outbreak expanded and became more widespread, individual case counts become increasingly impractical and not representative of the true extent of the outbreak.”

“This is because only a small proportion of persons with respiratory illness are actually tested and confirmed for influenza (including 2009 H1N1) so the true benefit of keeping track of these numbers is questionable,” the CDC stated. “In addition, the extensive spread of 2009 H1N1 flu within the United States made it extremely resource-intensive for states to count individual cases. On July 24, 2009, CDC discontinued reporting of individual cases of 2009 H1N1, but continued to track hospitalizations and deaths.”

“As 2009 H1N1 cases continued to occur through the spring and summer, the task of counting cases became increasingly difficult,” according to the CDC. “On May 12, 2009, CDC transitioned from reporting individual confirmed and probable cases of 2009 H1N1 influenza to reporting aggregate counts of 2009 H1N1 lab confirmed and probable cases, hospitalizations and deaths with the launch of an aggregate reporting web site. Once the numbers of cases increased beyond the point where counting of individual cases was practical, on July 23, 2009, CDC reported the number of 2009 cases for the last time.”

The directive to stop testing and counting H1N1 cases was issued three months after then-President Barack Obama officially declared the H1N1 influenza virus a public health emergency and three months before the administration declared it a national emergency on Oct. 24, 2009. H1N1 was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on June 11, 2009.

Attkisson filed a formal Freedom of Information and requested to know why the CDC ordered states to stop testing for H1N1. Two months later, she received a letter from the CDC Freedom of Information office.

“The letter is to inform me that my request for ‘expedited’ treatment of my FOI request has been denied because CDC has determined the request is ‘not a matter of widespread and exceptional media and public interest,'” Attkisson wrote.

“First, it seems ill advised to allow the responding agency (which often doesn’t want the info released) to determine whether an issue is of media and public interest and, therefore, subject to expedited treatment,” she continued. “Further, the CDC may be the only agency on the planet to argue that testing and counting of swine flu cases is “not of widespread and exceptional media and public interest.”

Ron Klain, who served as Biden’s chief of staff in 2009 and Obama’s Ebola czar in 2014, seemingly pointed out how the country dodged a bullet during the swine flu outbreak because of luck.

“It is purely a fortuity that this isn’t one of the great mass casualty events in American history. It had nothing to do with us doing anything right. It just had to do with luck,” Klain said last year at a biosecurity summit. “If anyone thinks that this can’t happen again, they don’t have to go back to 1918, they just have to go back to 2009, 2010 and imagine a virus with a different lethality, and you can just do the math on that.”

Klain, who is currently an advisor to the Biden campaign, has since backtracked on his comments, specifying that he was only talking about the challenges in producing enough H1N1 vaccine for the public demand.

In late July 2009, the Obama administration promised there would be enough H1N1 vaccine to immunize 160 million Americans at the beginning of the flu season, but ended up with just 28 million.

The CDC estimates that in the U.S., there were nearly 61 million cases of swine flu, 274,304 hospitalizations, and 12,469 deaths between April 12, 2009, and April 10, 2010. H1N1 has a mortality rate of .02%, which is far less deadly than coronavirus.

Barack Obama Donald Trump Intelwars Obamagate troll

Commentary: President Trump should pardon Barack Obama

2020 has been a rough year already. We’re aging in dog years now. We’ve already been through an impeachment, the worst pandemic in a century, the worst economic recession since the Great Depression, and now we’re unmasking perhaps the greatest political scandal in American history. And it’s not even June.

We need healing as a country. As I’m told, frequently, we’re all in this together. To that end, we need something to rally the nation as one people once more, and this is how we’re going to do it — one troll to rule them all.

Donald Trump is more than just a president. He’s America’s troll-in-chief. From “low energy Jeb” to “fake news” and “lock her up,” he masterfully used the quick-draw capability of social media to brand his political opponents all the way to the White House. Which is why I must confess to being surprised he has yet to realize he’s sitting on the greatest troll of all time. The troll of trolls. The greatest troll ever trolled.

President Trump should pardon Barack Obama for ObamaGate.

Just think of President Trump standing up at one of his rallies, maybe even holding it in Obama’s home state of Illinois, and announcing the following on national television in front of one of his adoring crowds:

This country has been through Hell this year fighting the invisible enemy, coronavirus. But we’re coming back, and coming back strong. This will be one of the great American comeback stories, except there’s one thing we still desperately need right now. We need less division and more unity in our country. We all suffered together, and we can only come back together.

And I think as your president, it’s my place to make the first move.

That’s why tonight, in front of all of you and the nation, I will be taking the extraordinary step of signing a full presidential pardon for my predecessor, Barack Hussein Obama. Because the last thing this country needs right now is another investigation and distraction. We’ve had enough of those the past few years. Trust me, I know that better than anyone else. It’s time to get back to Making America Great Again.

We have to confront China for what they did to the world, restore the greatest economy in history, and then save this country from Sleepy Joe Biden’s dementia-riddled mind. If people wanted to go back to the Obama years, they would’ve elected Hillary in 2016. We all want to move on, and get back to where we were before the coronavirus.

But we can’t do that if we keep looking back. So as Obama himself once said — Forward!

I know Barack Obama orchestrated the greatest political scandal in American history. I know that he unleashed illegal surveillance of an opposing presidential campaign. I know that he permitted the FBI and deep state to target and entrap innocent people like Gen. Flynn, one of our military heroes. I know these things, because I was the target of ObamaGate.

But it wasn’t just me, as much as all of you that are here tonight. You dared to take your country back from the deep state and bureaucrats who think they’re better than you, so they committed a series of high crimes and misdemeanors to steal the election you won, in collusion with enemy media. Some of whom are here tonight. They accused me of collusion for four years, when they were the ones colluding. The only collusion was the deep state with enemy media.

We already wasted too much of my first term you gave me fighting back against their clumsy coup attempts. I don’t want to waste the second term you’ll give me in November doing it all over again. That’s why now, tonight, is finally the time to put this all behind us. And for Joe Biden and I to share our contrasting visions for the future, if Sleepy Joe can even remember what his is.

To that end, I now sign this full pardon of Barack Obama. Though he deserves to be locked up right next to Hillary, we don’t need any more FISA warrants, Fake News leaks, and corrupt FBI officials distracting us from Keeping America Great on CNN.

(Trump signs the pardon)

And with that, I wish Barack Obama well, and congratulate him on his new $12 million home in the Hamptons. Of course, mine’s bigger, but I still want you and your lovely bride free to enjoy all the riches you apparently acquired all those years struggling in public service.

President Trump fires back at Obama who took cheap shots at Trump admin in graduation speech

President Donald Trump called his predecessor, former President Barack Obama, “grossly incompetent” on Sunday after Obama attacked the Trump administration’s coronavirus response.

Speaking to 2020 graduates in a pre-taped speech, Obama likened his successor’s administration to “little kids.”

“Doing what feels good, what’s convenient, what’s easy — that’s how little kids think. Unfortunately, a lot of so-called grown-ups, including some with fancy titles and important jobs, still think that way — which is why things are so screwed up,” Obama said, NBC News reported.

Obama also said, “More than anything, this pandemic has fully, finally torn back the curtain on the idea that so many of the folks in charge know what they’re doing. A lot of them aren’t even pretending to be in charge.”

Trump was asked about those comments on Sunday upon returning from Camp David, where he and other top officials met over the weekend to continue planning the government’s COVID-19 response.

“Look, he was an incompetent president. That’s all I can say. Grossly incompetent,” Trump said, Politico reported.

White House economic adviser Peter Navarro also hit back at Obama on Sunday.

“I’m glad Mr. Obama has a new job as Joe Biden’s press secretary,” Navarro quipped in an interview on ABC.
