Washington state library accused of racial segregation after bizarre photo of race-sensitive training goes viral online

A library in Washington state denied allegations of racial segregation after a bizarre photograph of its race-sensitive training went viral on social media.

“KCLS has recently been accused of holding a ‘racially segregated training program.’ KCLS denies these allegations,” the statement read.

Christopher Rufo, director at the Center on Wealth & Poverty at Discovery Institute, noted the controversial training session on his social media account. The photograph showed signs segregating participants by race.

One sign read, “DEI Session People Who are White,” and the other read, “DEI Session People of Color.”

King County Library System said that the “listening sessions” were mandatory but were not racial segregation.

“In 2019, under the guidance of our consultants, Racial Equity Consultants (REC), we provided caucused listening sessions for staff to help inform REC’s institutional racial equity assessment work. These listening sessions were voluntary for staff and designed to gather information to help us better understand institutional racial equity concerns, particularly those voiced by BIPOC staff members at KCLS, so that our consultants could develop a report and recommendations,” they continued.

“Attendance by managers was mandatory for the purpose of preparing them for providing leadership around potential conversations or questions that their staff members might have following the sessions,” they added.

President Donald Trump ordered the defunding of critical race theory sessions being taught at federal agencies, calling them “divisive, un-American propaganda training sessions.”

Critics of the president complained that defunding the training was tantamount to supporting white supremacy and racism in federal agencies.

“KCLS is deeply committed to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) as part of our service to the public. We understand that race is a complex and sensitive topic, and that discussions around race and racism are sometimes difficult, though necessary,” the statement concluded.

BLM protesters harass and assault McDonald’s manager at Pittsburgh protests, and it’s all caught on video

Black Lives Matter protesters harassed and assaulted a McDonald’s restaurant manager and another employee in a video captured during the protests in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The video from Saturday shows a man with a bullhorn harassing the manager with many others chanting with him. The manager appears frustrated and tries to get them to leave, but they continue to pester him. At one point the man with the bullhorn challenges the manager to a fight.

The video was circulated on social media by a Twitter user who tried to frame the heated incident as the fault of the manager.

“The manager(Ed) @ this McD’s was upset that the protest was in front of the store. The crowd agreed to go in and give them a few hundred dollars worth of food orders. As they were giving the food to the protestors, the manager; started to get nasty with them,” he tweeted.

But the altercation appeared to be a part of a larger protest where a man with a bullhorn and similar clothing accosted white people while they were dining.

The group marched downtown with a sign reading, “Abolish the Police,” and confronted people dining outside. Protesters chanted, “F*** the white people that built the system!” and “F*** the police!”

KDKA-TV obtained video showing protesters fighting with bicyclists who tried to ride through the protest crowd.

One of the protesters defended their actions by claiming it was in self defense.

“We seriously get hit everyday that we march. Hueless aggression is escalating because the white moderate has decided we don’t need to fight for our rights anymore,” she wrote on Facebook.

“There’s no law on planet earth that I broke, other than one they’re gonna look real hard for. That’s the mad diary life of a protester,” she added.

Pittsburgh police confirmed to WPXI-TV that they were reviewing several social media videos of the protest incidents. They are asking that anyone who was assaulted during the protests come forward and file a report.

DOJ finds that Yale admissions policies discriminate against Asian and white students

The Department of Justice accused Yale University of discriminating against Asian and white students in its enrollment policies and demanded a plan to address the disparities.

The DOJ announced the findings of a two-year investigation in a news release Thursday. The investigation was in response to complains from Asian American groups, the DOJ said.

“The Department of Justice today notified Yale University of its findings that Yale illegally discriminates against Asian American and white applicants in its undergraduate admissions process in violation of Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act,” the statement said.

The DOJ recognized that the Supreme Court has allowed for colleges to consider race in limited circumstances, but said Yale exceeded those limits.

“Yale uses race at multiple steps of its admissions process resulting in a multiplied effect of race on an applicant’s likelihood of admission, and Yale racially balances its classes,” the statement claimed.

The report found that Asians and whites have only one-10th to one-fourth the possibility of gaining admission to the university as similarly qualified African American applicants.

“Unlawfully dividing Americans into racial and ethnic blocs fosters stereotypes, bitterness, and division. It is past time for American institutions to recognize that all people should be treated with decency and respect, and without unlawful regard to the color of their skin,” said Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband for the Civil Rights Division.

The statement from the DOJ concluded by demanding a plan from university administrators to address the discriminatory practices.

‘A meritless, hasty accusation’

Yale University rejected the findings of the report in a statement and accused the DOJ of drawing a conclusion from incomplete evidence.

“Yale has cooperated fully with the DOJ’s investigation of Yale’s admissions practices. We have produced a substantial amount of information and data, and we are continuing to do so,” the statement read.

“Given our commitment to complying with federal law, we are dismayed that the DOJ has made its determination before allowing Yale to provide all the information the department requested thus far. Had the department fully received and weighed this information, it would have concluded that Yale’s practices absolutely comply with decades of Supreme Court precedent,” the statement continued.

The statement went on to say Yale was proud of its admissions policies and refused to change them based on a “meritless, hasty accusation.”

Seth Rogen is taking ‘anti-racist measures,’ like actively hiring fewer white people

Hollywood actor and director Seth Rogen said that he was taking “anti-racist” measures to join the social justice movement, and one of those included singling out white people for fewer roles in his movies.

Rogen made the comments in an interview with Leah Greenblatt of Entertainment Weekly that was published on Monday.

“One of the biggest conversations of the last couple years, at least in Hollywood, has been around inclusion riders and the general efforts to bring more diversity to the movies we see, both behind and in front of the camera. As a famous white guy in the industry, what do you feel like your role in that can be?” asked Greenblatt.

“I mean personally, I think I am just actively trying to make less things starring white people,” said Rogen.

“And if I’m succeeding or I’m not, I’m very much looking to have a far more diverse group of writers and directors and actors that we generally work with, because that group is not incredibly diverse, you know?” he added.

He went on explain that this was a part of his taking “anti-racist” measures.

“So that’s how I’ve been trying to deal with it, is just to actively take as they would say, anti-racist measures to assure that some work is doing done to acknowledge that Black people are very marginalized in American society,” he explained.

“I just come here to work and make comedies!”

Rogen added earlier in the interview that he tried to stay out of American politics since he was born and raised in Canada. He said he changed his mind after coming to a realization that he couldn’t stay in the sidelines of the debate.

For a long time I think I was alleviating myself from some of the responsibility that one who is making a living off the American system should be feeling, you know? Like “I’m Canadian! I just come here to work and make comedies!”

Now it’s been too long, I’m an adult, I’m fully a part of American culture and a contributor to it. I can’t pretend that this is not my culture as well, and that this is not my problem as well. I am an American citizen and this is America and I make money in America. So I no longer feel that way.

Rogen had previously made headlines being outspoken about his liberal beliefs. In May he donated to an effort to help bail out those arrested during riots arising from protests over the death of George Floyd while in police custody.

He also sent private messages to Donald Trump Jr., who followed Rogen on Twitter at the time, to persuade his father to step down from the presidency.

NOT OKAY: The left is NORMALIZING violent anti-white racism

This week on “Slightly Offens*ve,” BlazeTV host Elijah Schaffer took on the leftist mob and cancel culture to talk about the taboo subject of anti-white racism.

“I can get canceled just for talking about this because we live in a society where free speech no longer exists, especially online,” Elijah said. “But our culture isn’t just becoming pro-black, which is a good thing, it’s becoming anti-white. And this unfair racist bias is not okay, no matter what the left is trying to normalize.”
