Everything is Staged

This article was originally published by Charles Hugh Smith at Of Two Minds Blog.

All the staging is a means to an end, and everyone in America is nothing more than a means to an end: close the sale so the few can continue exploiting the many.

You know how realtors stage a house to increase its marketability: first, they remove all evidence that people actually live there. (Of course, a vacant house is ideal for staging because there’s none of the messy real-life stuff to deal with.)

All the clutter of everyday life must be moved elsewhere so the house can look like a bloodless furniture showroom. In other words, fake.

Then various tricks /cues are employed to activate the sense of “home”: induce the “smell of fresh bread” in the kitchen, adorn rooms with vases of fresh flowers, and have a few fake “family” photos set on bookshelves.

We all understand homes for sale are staged for marketing, as are showrooms and any other space devoted to selling. The raison d’etre of the space is to close the sale, so exacting care is given to every signal, cue, and nuance.

(It doesn’t always work as intended. Apple Stores make me want to run screaming from the sci-fi white prison workshop to blessed freedom.)

The problem is everything in America is now staged with an eye on selling you something. Maybe it’s just selling your attention to an advertiser or data-mining outfit. Maybe it’s selling an ersatz slogan like “we’re all in this together” to placate the herd being led to slaughter.

Maybe it’s phony membership in a movement that masks the few taking advantage of the many with a bogus ideological rallying cry. Maybe it’s a so-called “panel of experts” offering up soothing assurances that this highly addictive opioid is incredibly profitable– oops, did I say that? I meant “safe.” It’s incredibly safe.

And so on. Since everything is staged, nothing is remotely credible. The 70-year old performer’s deep-red hair (with a small splash of gray to make the charade “believable”): fake.

The Stepford automatons lining the stage? Replicas of a carefully coiffed “reality.”

The entire financial system–nothing but an elaborate simulacrum of a real-world financial system.

“Democracy”: –nothing but an elaborate simulacrum of a real-world republic.

“Fake” is now itself fake as the meta-marketers seek to undermine the concept of fake to sell the idea that what we recognize as fake is actually real: we’re told that it’s the real thing that’s been hidden from view that’s fake. The photo on the shelf of the fake family is real, we’re told; what’s fake is the actual real photo of the messy real-world family who actually lives here.

Given that everything is staged, trust has been completely destroyed. To trust anything being presented as a means to an end–i.e. a con, a scam, a sales pitch, a fake scent of fresh bread, etc.–is to be a chump.

The legitimacy of everything that’s being staged has been irrevocably lost. Nobody tells the plain truth anymore because telling the truth is straying off-message. Staying on-message is the Prime Directive in America. Stray from the message and the truth might leak out, and then we’re all doomed because we can’t close the sale.

There’s no escape from this dependency on staging and staying on-message. The only hope of a return to the real world is the collapse of the entire fake, staged status quo, the collapse of every institution, every media outlet, every social media platform, every single manifestation of marketing, cons, scams, pitches, gamed statistics, and all the frantic assurances that fake is real and real is fake because your belief in the fraud is the key to closing the sale.

All the staging is a means to an end, and everyone in America is nothing more than a means to an end: close the sale so the few can continue exploiting the many. If you can’t stay on message, you’re gone–no wealth or security for you, bucko.

Staging is no substitute for reality. The frauds, cons, and scams are failing to keep the simulacrum world glued together because no matter how expert the marketing and how great the desire to close the sale so the few can continue exploiting the many, reality intrudes right when the deal’s about to close and the whole absurd contraption collapses in a heap.

Greg Mannarino: The Economic Collapse Is Here

Greg Mannarino says the economic collapse has arrived. “Sit down. Buckle up because this is going to be a wild ride,” says Mannarino.

Mannarino starts by showing the jobless claims have once again almost reached the 1 million mark. People are rarely unemployed and there is no recovery happening unless you are a corporation. “Look, I don’t know another way to say it. We are in an economic collapse here in the United States!”

Even though the entire system is collapsing around us all, the stock market will go higher. It all debt and we have a debt-based system that will eventually self-destruct.  This will have lasting effects on a global scale. The last two presidents have made certain that the debt issued is in record amounts as the middle-class is destroyed by design. “They sold the United States, or whatever is left of it, to the Federal Reserve, and right now, we’re watching a merger in front of our face. Corporations and the new American government, New World Order. Welcome to it!”

Greg Mannarino: It’s Critical To Understand That The Goal Is “Full Control By The Federal Reserve”

America is in free fall. Things will not improve even if another stimulus package is passed, in fact, that will hasten the collapse. If you are not prepared for an economic crash the likes of which we have never seen in human history, now is a great time to get things in order.

We are also seeing countries locking down for a second time doing more untold damage to already fatally wounded economies.  Brace yourself. It has only just begun. “You have no idea what’s coming. This is all by design,” Mannarino makes clear. “Realize how this is set up from the getgo…understand that a new set of rules are coming down the pike as America is in collapse.”

Prepare For An Economic Emergency Or Recession

PREPPING FOR THE UPCOMING GOVERNMENT-INDUCED FOOD SHORTAGES

“With regard to the economic collapse we are in, believe me when I say this: you haven’t seen anything yet,” Mannarino says. “This is the opening act. It’s gonna get much much worse.”

America Commentary earth changes Environment Intelwars Natural Disasters

Why Is America Being Hit By So Many Horrific Natural Disasters All Of A Sudden?

It has just been one thing after another in 2020.  First, the COVID-19 pandemic erupted and quickly spread all over the globe.  At this point more than 800,000 people have died globally, and authorities are warning us to brace ourselves for another wave of the pandemic in the fall.  Of course many would argue that fear of the virus has been even worse than the disease itself, and it is undeniable that the COVID-19 shutdowns were the primary reason why we have plunged into the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression of the 1930s.  More than 57 million Americans have filed new claims for unemployment benefits so far this year, and that number just keeps rising with each passing week.  On top of all that, the tragic death of George Floyd caused an unprecedented wave of civil unrest to erupt in major cities all across America, and many are anticipating a fresh outburst of unrest as we head toward election day in November.  So coming into this month we had already faced far more trouble than we do in a typical year, and now a very strange series of natural disasters is making things even worse.

For example, earlier this month an absolutely massive storm known as a “derecho” with winds of up to 112 mph came roaring through the Midwest.  Millions upon millions of acres of crops were destroyed, and Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has described this storm as a “40-mile-wide tornado that went through the state of Iowa”

The damage was so bad that the New York Times reported that Iowa state officials estimate that at least 14 million acres of necessary farmland were damaged by the storm. Not only were crops destroyed but hundreds of millions of bushels of commercial storage grain, as well as tens of millions of bushels of on-farm storage grain, were also lost.

Shannon Textor, who is a spokesperson for the Iowa Corn Growers Association, reported that it may be weeks to determine the monetary loss as a result of the storm. “It’s really hard to get your arms around the devastation at this point,” Textor admitted.

President Donald Trump took notice of the destruction and on Tuesday discussed the damage and promised Iowans the “full support of the federal government in recovery. According to Iowa Governor. Kim Reynolds, the devastation caused an estimated $4 billion in damages from the storm. During a briefing with the president, Reynolds described the storm as a “40-mile-wide tornado that went through the state of Iowa.”

Shortly after that historic storm ripped a giant scar across the Midwest, the western half of the nation was gripped by a historic heatwave.

The highest temperature ever captured by modern instruments was recorded in Death Valley, California, many other all-time records were shattered all over the Southwest, and the city of Phoenix actually broke their record for most days in a year in which the high temperature reached at least 115 degrees.

Of course that heatwave set the stage for the nightmarish wildfires that we are witnessing in the state of California right now.

Yes, we see wildfires in California every year, but we have never seen anything quite like this.  Just consider the following facts…

-12,000 lightning strikes have hit the state over the past week, and many more are expected this week.

-More than a million acres have been destroyed by fire so far.

-Two of the five largest fires in the history of the state are burning in northern California right now.

-Wildfires in California have already caused more death and destruction in 2020 than they did in all of 2019.

-A “red flag” warning has been issued for Monday.  Authorities are anticipating that winds of up to 65 mph and widespread lightning strikes will make this crisis even worse.

For much more on these wildfires, please see my article entitled “The State Of California Is Never Going To Be The Same After This”.

As if everything that I have shared so far wasn’t enough, two very dangerous storms are headed toward the Gulf Coast.

Hurricane Marco is likely to make landfall first, and residents of the Gulf Coast will begin to feel Marco’s fury as early as Monday morning

At 5 p.m. CDT on Sunday, Marco strengthened to a Category 1 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph and was moving to the north-northwest at 13 mph.

Forecasters warn that time is running out for residents along the central Gulf Coast to make preparations, as impacts will start to be felt early Monday morning. Marco is expected to continue intensifying through Sunday.

Following closely on the heels of Hurricane Marco is Tropical Storm Laura.

Laura will likely enter the Gulf of Mexico early this week, and forecasters fully expect it to also develop into a hurricane

Tropical Storm Laura is forecast to reach the Gulf of Mexico early this week, where significant intensification into a hurricane is expected. The area with the highest chance of seeing a hurricane strike from Laura by midweek is along parts of the northern and western Gulf Coast, but this forecast is still uncertain.

At this point, many are anticipating that Laura will end up being the stronger of the two storms, but we shall have to wait and see how everything plays out.

Meanwhile, much of the other side of the globe continues to wrestle with a historic plague of locusts.  Some of these swarms of locusts are the size of major cities, and it would be difficult to overstate the crop devastation that we have been witnessing in many countries.

When combined with the tremendous impact that COVID-19 has been having on global food distribution systems, these two factors have created a tremendous worldwide crisis.  In fact, the head of the UN World Food Program has once again used the word “biblical” to describe the famine that the planet is potentially facing…

The Covid-19 pandemic may lead to a calamity of epic scale, with millions facing starvation worldwide, the head of the UN’s hunger-fighting body has warned.

“All the data we have, including WFP forecast that the number of people experiencing malnutrition will grow by 80 percent by the end of the year, … points to a real disaster,” David Beasley, Executive Director of the UN World Food Program (WFP), said.

“We are risking a famine of biblical proportions.”

2020 has truly been a year like no other, and it is imperative for everyone to understand that the “perfect storm” that we are now facing is just getting started.

All of a sudden, the U.S. is being hit by one major crisis after another, and to many people it seems quite unlikely that so many nightmarish events would happen so closely together by random chance.

So what do you think?

Could it be possible that someone is trying to get our attention?

It would be a major understatement to say that 2020 has been a “crazy” year so far, and I have a feeling that quite a few more surprises are in store for us before this year is over.

We Are In The Process Of Completely Losing America

When I was growing up, I was taught to love America.  My father was in the U.S. Navy, our family spent six years overseas as he served at a military base in a foreign land, and every day I would say the Pledge of Allegiance at the local school for military children that I attended.  It was during this period of time that Ronald Reagan was first elected president of the United States, and the things that he said about the greatness of America’s values really inspired me.  Of course no nation has ever been perfect, but at one time the United States was united by a common set of values that we were constantly striving to live up to.  And one of the reasons why I am often so hard on America in my articles is because I want us to rediscover those values and start trying to live up to them once again.

Unfortunately, the truth is that all of the things that once made America so great are slipping away from us a little bit more with each passing day.

For example, just look at how much freedom of speech is being eroded.  Once upon a time, people would gather in homes or marketplaces to exchange ideas, but now we gather on giant social media platforms to share ideas with one another.

And during the early days of social media, speech was left relatively uncensored and it allowed interesting ideas to spread rapidly.  Sadly, things are completely different now, and the level of censorship that we are witnessing is really scary.

There is a certain video that contains footage of prominent doctors talking about potential treatments for COVID-19 that has created quite a stir.  I am sure that most of you know the video that I am talking about, because it started to spread rapidly on Tuesday.  But then Facebook banned it, Twitter banned it, YouTube banned it and other social media platforms banned it as well.  My wife tried to put up a copy of the video herself, and it was taken down immediately.

And when Donald Trump Jr. tried to share the video on Twitter, his entire account got partially suspended.

At this point, freedom of speech is essentially dead on our major social media platforms, and because they have such a dominant position in our marketplace of ideas, that means that freedom of speech has been severely crippled in our society as a whole.

Freedom of religion is being greatly eroded as well.  States such as California continue to ban large church gatherings in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, but meanwhile they don’t have any problem with the large groups of protesters that are gathering night after night in our major cities to riot and commit acts of violence.

If conditions are good enough for thousands upon thousands of rioters to get together and cause chaos, and if conditions are good enough for thousands upon thousands of people to go shopping at Wal-Mart, then conditions are certainly good enough for Christians to go to church.

It looks like this pandemic could be with us throughout 2021 and beyond.  Would some of these blue states really try to keep churches closed for that long?

And there is also a tremendous amount of concern that many of these blue states will require people to take a COVID-19 vaccine once it is available.  President Trump is trying to push vaccine development along as rapidly as possible, because he thinks that if he can announce something before November that it will help him win the election.

But rushing a potentially dangerous vaccine through development and forcibly injecting it into the arms of millions of Americans is not only incredibly foolish, it is also deeply un-American.

And the way that Republicans and Democrats in Congress are responding to this crisis is also deeply un-American.

We are supposed to have a free market capitalist system, and when I was growing up the socialists were always regarded as enemies of our Republic.

But now there are very few politicians in Washington that are not socialists.

This week we were informed that another “stimulus bill” is on the way.  This one is going to involve more direct socialist payments to the American people, but at this point hardly anyone is even bothering to point out that this is pure socialism.

Never before in American history have we done such a thing.  We have been through the Civil War, World War I, the Great Depression, World War II and a whole host of other difficult times, and yet we have never passed out “free money” to everyone in the country before.

And of course we can’t afford any of this extra spending that Congress is doing.  This new stimulus bill is “only” going to cost about a trillion dollars, but that is another trillion dollars that we will have to steal from future generations of Americans.

At this moment we are more than 26 trillion dollars in debt, and soon it will be 27 trillion dollars.  We are systematically destroying America’s future, and our founders would be absolutely horrified at what we are doing if they could see us today.

Of course we abandoned most of the values that they held dear long ago.  What was “right” in their day is now “wrong”, and what was “wrong” in their day has now become “right”.

In essence, we are literally turning into the exact opposite of what they originally intended for America to be.

If we stay on the path that we are currently on, there isn’t going to be an America.

And it deeply grieves me to say that, because I was taught to greatly love this country from a very early age.

For years, I have been trying to get people to wake up.

For years, I have been battling the insidious forces that are eating away at the foundations that this nation was built upon.

And I will continue to battle, but the hour is getting very late, and America is slipping away a little bit more with each day that passes.

Cuban immigrant has dire warning for Americans, says ‘communists’ are trying to take over US

Maximo Alvarez, a Cuban immigrant turned American businessman, has a dire warning about the direction of America.

Alvarez, who escaped communist Cuba nearly 60 years ago, sat on a business roundtable last week that included top business leaders, politicians, and even President Donald Trump.

Scott McIntyre/Bloomberg via Getty Images

During the event, Alvarez explained that “communists” are now trying to force Americans to swallow the same “pill” that Fidel Castro tricked Cuban into swallowing during the Cuban Revolution.

“What is happening in our backyard today, I experienced as an 11-year-old. I remember vividly all the promises that a guy named Castro gave, and how 99% of the people swallowed the pill,” Alvarez said.

According to Alvarez, Castro was selling the same bill of free goods to Cubans that far-left politicians are attempting to sell Americans today.

“I remember all the promises that we hear today about free education and free health care and free land,” Alvarez said.

“My God, no freedom,” he continued. “But he never said that until after he was in power, got rid of all the police, got rid of all the military — been there for the last 60 years and counting. And he destroyed each and every one who helped him.”

Later in his speech, Alvarez pleaded with young Americans to not become the same “useful idiots” that Castro turned the Cuban people into, before sharing sage advice from his father.

“He saw me graduate from college, and that was the biggest prize he ever had. And he said, ‘Don’t lose this place because you’re never going to be as lucky as me. Because if you lose this place, you have no place to go,'” Alvarez explained.

Alvarez is founder and president of Sunshine Gasoline Distributors, which operates in South Florida.

America Confederate Statue Intelwars Justin Timberlake Racism

Justin Timberlake says ‘America was built by men who believed in and benefitted from racism’

Singer Justin Timberlake has offered his views regarding the ongoing debates (and protests) over racism in the U.S., saying that the issue is “plain and simple”: “America was built by men who believed in and benefitted from racism.”

What are the details?

In a social media post arguing for the removal of Confederate statues, Timberlake wrote, “When we protest racism in America, people think we are protesting America itself. Why is that the reaction? Because America was built by men who believed in and benefitted from racism. Plain and simple.”

He added, “If we plan to move forward, these confederate monuments must come down.”

The Tennessee native also shared a link to a post from the American Civil Liberties Union, noting that a bust of late Confederate general and Ku Klux Klan leader Nathan Bedford Forrest remains on display in the Tennessee State House.

The singer added on Instagram:

This is when you hear ‘But that’s all in the past.’ So let’s be clear…those men who proudly owned and abused Black people are STILL celebrated all over the country.
There are roughly 1,848 confederate statues of (sic) in the US. More than half are in The South, and it’s not acceptable. No one should be protecting the legacies of confederate leaders and slave owners. If we plan to move forward, these monuments must come down. But let’s remember: Removing these statues does not erase our country’s vile history of oppression — removing them is a symbol of respect for Black people in America and it’s a step towards progress and actual equality for all.

The Daily Wire noted that Timberlake’s “post on American white supremacy comes several weeks after he declared that ‘black people in America are not safe.'”

Since the death of George Floyd in late May, numerous Confederate statues have been either torn down or peacefully removed throughout the Southern U.S. Nationwide, statues of Founding Fathers such as Presidents George Washington and Thomas Jefferson have also been toppled because the men owned slaves.

But statues of abolitionists such as Presidents Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, and Frederick Douglass have also been destroyed in the ongoing rioting in the U.S.

America Colin Kaepernick Independence Day Intelwars Racism white supremacy

Colin Kaepernick bashes America on July 4th — but had completely different message when Obama was president

Colin Kaepernick, the former NFL quarterback turned activist, denounced America on Independence Day this year — but he had a completely different message when Barack Obama was president.

In his Fourth of July message, Kaepernick claimed the national holiday, marking America’s independence from Great Britain, is a “celebration of white supremacy.”

“Black ppl have been dehumanized, brutalized, criminalized + terrorized by America for centuries, & are expected to join your commemoration of ‘independence’, while you enslaved our ancestors. We reject your celebration of white supremacy & look forward to liberation for all,” Kaepernick said.

Kaepernick has turned up the volume on his anti-America rhetoric in recent years, especially in the wake of his departure from the NFL.

Last year, on Thanksgiving Day, Kaepernick bashed America while celebrating “Unthanksgiving Day.”

“The US government has stolen over 1.5 billion acres of land from Indigenous people. Thank you to my Indigenous family, I’m with you today and always,” Kaepernick said.

Then, after U.S. armed forces killed Iran military commander Qassem Soleimani, Kaepernick accused the U.S. of engaging in racist “terrorist attacks.”

“There is nothing new about American terrorist attacks against Black and Brown people for the expansion of American imperialism,” Kaepernick said. “America has always sanctioned and besieged Black and Brown bodies both at home and abroad. America militarism is the weapon wielded by American imperialism, to enforce its policing and plundering of the non white world.”

However, when Obama was president, Kaepernick sang a much different tune on Independence Day.

In 2011, Kaepernick said, “Happy 4th of july everyone I hope everyone has a blessed day.”

In 2012, Kaepernick said, “Hope everyone has a blessed 4th, as for me I’m on that workout flow first.”

America borrowing money Commodity Coronavirus country's COVID-19 Demographics Dollar Economy expenses experts Forecasting Gold Headline News Intelwars Market Share optimal portfolio Silver small businesses Stock Market United States

FREAKIN’ HIGH: Markets Ignore Data – BAMBOOZLED!

This article was contributed by James Davis with Future Money Trends.

There’s America, the country, and then there’s America, the economic miracle. The West, but particularly the United States, has three major issues that are such HUGE OVERHANGING storm clouds that it doesn’t make sense to continue IGNORING THEM. Again, America’s stock market, heavily influenced by its multinational presence and its domestic economy, ARE DECOUPLED.

America’s MOST PRESSING problems, economically speaking, are income and wealth inequality.

What we have today is a very small number of people who, put together, own the lion’s share of the country’s corporations and land. Therefore, they are living in A DIFFERENT WORLD from the majority of the population.

Wealth and income inequality create a lingering problem since America’s 500 LARGEST companies are multinational and leveraged to the rest of the world, but small, domestic businesses are not and are MUCH MORE susceptible to slowdowns and recessions.

Case in point is the RAGING STOCK MARKET, which is SO VALUABLE today in part because the companies that are components of the S&P 500 are gaining market share from small businesses (at their expense). They can WITHSTAND COVID-19 better.

This is a classic case of a crisis that ENDS UP favoring the big over the small since the problem is not about BORROWING MONEY to “buy time” while business is slow — because that’s readily available — but of sustaining the SPENDING SHORTAGE that’s going on right now.

Courtesy: Zerohedge.com

This HIGHLY-VALUABLE chart shows that the problem of income inequality cannot be solved by PRINTING MONEY and it never will, but there are other CRITICAL TAKEAWAYS from this chart as well. One is that commodities are TREMENDOUSLY UNDERVALUED right now since they’ve been losing money for over a decade, and another is that gold does not behave like a commodity at all.

Lastly, what really JUMPS OUT of the page is that gold is a SUPERIOR FORM of money, shown by the fact that it beat U.S. cash, but also that it is a SUPERIOR SAFE HAVEN, shown by the fact that it beat U.S. Treasuries.

Truly, the most ASTOUNDING REVELATION from this chart is that the United States is able to print enormous sums of currency without inviting serious levels of inflation because it exports a lot of those dollars abroad, but COVID-19 is changing this.

The government’s ACTIVE FISCAL POLICY means that many more dollars are going to circulate domestically amongst the average person in what’s often referred to as the “real economy,” and that’s a BIG CHANGE.

For now, they’re not spending much since job security is NON-EXISTENT, but the average person will as they get their stride back, and we predict 2.5%-2.7% official inflation in a world where interest rates aren’t going higher without INVOKING HUGE declines in stock market values.

Courtesy: Zerohedge.com

It is important to remember America’s SECOND-LARGEST economic problem, trailing only behind income inequality, and that is its DEMOGRAPHICS.

The governments of the world simply had NO WAY OF KNOWING that in the span of just 86 years, since 1934, the average lifespan would increase from 59 years of age, which would sustain a Social Security system based on 65 as the age of eligibility, to an average lifespan of 78 in 2020, which is a BLACK HOLE of deficits.

The government in 1934 was OBVIOUSLY attempting to show the people it was doing something for them without really being on the hook for it, so they created the retirement age ABOVE the life expectancy of Americans, but this has turned around and it’s a CRUSHING WEIGHT of obligations.

It will begin to reform itself as young Americans begin to vote for people who promise to CORRECT THIS.

America’s third and final major economic issue is DEBT.

The way to combat this one is by owning precious metals, primarily gold. Most individuals don’t, but the OPTIMAL PORTFOLIO is 20% gold!

SHORT SQUEEZE OF EPIC SCALE: MARKET TWILIGHT ZONE!

It is NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE to short stocks with the Federal Reserve adamant at making sure America’s largest corporations don’t go under if they can be salvaged or floated, USING NEW CURRENCY (which younger demographics will be enslaved to pay) until consumers start spending with confidence again.

America has been incredibly advantaged of having a SEEMINGLY ENDLESS capability to print currency, but it has made such misuse of it in dealing with COVID-19 that it has now become apparent to nations the world over that the Federal Reserve doesn’t know ANY LIMITS when it comes to utilizing its lawful mandate.

I tell you this because while the system has favored the wealthy at the expense of the middle class, the process is on a trajectory to ACCELERATE, so if you’re not part of the upper class, expect MORE PAIN ahead.

Notice how liquidity has DRIED UP in the stock market. There’s a reason for it: markets ARE DEAD when it comes to organic trading.

The actions of the Federal Reserve have scared away the SMART MONEY and have invited speculators in.

That’s not the outcome that anyone anticipated, so what I see is that once these government programs expire in August, we will be back to SQUARE ONE and more stimulus will be unleashed.

When it comes to income inequality, the solution starts with education. The problem with America is that the majority has been sold on this dream that it’s the EASY LIFE, when it’s really not. Poverty is the norm for the majority, not wealth.

Forget comfort and luxury; there’s a reason why racehorses run with blinders on… it is so that they can focus solely on their footing and the track ahead, DISREGARDING all else.

The second they look to the left or to the right, they lose composure and accidents occur.

If there was an 11th commandment, it would be to MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS.

I see a society full of people concerned with leisure and with knowing what others are up to (via social media) when they’re not GETTING AHEAD THEMSELVES.

When I was building my wealth, I couldn’t be bothered with anything. I must have read the same wealth books hundreds of times until I could recite the principles in them and implement them. Any progress was celebrated; any and all sacrifices were made. It’s definitely NOT FOR EVERYONE!

In 1953, an Italian-American from New York was born into a big Catholic family. When he was very young, on Easter Sunday, while his entire family was getting ready for their meal, he got a call from his boss at the recording studio to SHOW UP immediately for work. 99% of people would have said “NO,” but this person agreed. When he got there, John Lennon was in the booth and ready to work on his solo album.

The other employee had declined to come in that day and this was Jimmy’s moment to shine. He took on a task he’d never done before and he did it well. This was the beginning of his music career, which started because he said “YES” when most would not go the extra mile.

The Jimmy I’m referring to is Jimmy Iovine, the billionaire co-founder of Interscope Records and Beats headphones, later sold to Apple.

America is STILL the place to do business and it’s STILL a land of opportunity but you must FEEL THE BURN in order to drive forward and not ASSUME things will take care of themselves. Becoming wealthy from scratch requires ENORMOUS SACRIFICE; you have to be willing to limit time for friends, family, hobbies, entertainment and be willing to LEARN ON THE GO.

The billionaires and multimillionaires of this country have MOSTLY COME FROM NOTHING.

Poverty is a DRIVING FORCE, not a curse.

America’s Jobless Claims Data Refuse To Confirm V-Shaped Recovery Narrative

This article was originally published by Tyler Durden at ZeroHedge.

As fears of a second wave of COVID (and the concomitant risk of re-lockdowns for America) soar, the last week saw 1.48 million more Americans filed for unemployment benefits for the first time (notably worse than the 1.32 mm expected).

Source: Bloomberg

That brings the fourteen-week total to 47.25 million, dramatically more than at any period in American history. However, as the chart above shows, the second derivative has turned the corner (even though the 1.48 million rise this last week is still higher than any other week in history outside of the pandemic)

California and Maryland were the worst states for jobless claims in the prior week with Oklahoma and Kentucky showing the biggest improvement…

Continuing Claims did drop modestly but hardly a signal that “re-opening” is occurring! And definitely not confirming the PMI data…

Source: Bloomberg

And as we noted previously, what is most disturbing is that in the last fourteen weeks, more than twice as many Americans have filed for unemployment than jobs gained during the last decade since the end of the Great Recession… (22.13 million gained in a decade, 47.25 million lost in 14 weeks)

Worse still, the final numbers will likely be worsened due to the bailout itself: as a reminder, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, passed on March 27, could contribute to new records being reached in coming weeks as it increases eligibility for jobless claims to self-employed and gig workers, extends the maximum number of weeks that one can receive benefits, and provides an additional $600 per week until July 31.

Finally, it is notable, we have lost 387 jobs for every confirmed US death from COVID-19 (121,979). Was it worth it?

The big question remains – what happens when the $600 CARES Act bonuses stop flowing? Will those who stayed home (thanks to making more money sitting on their couch than working) be able to find a job?

The High Cost Of Locking Down America: “We’ve Seen A Year’s Worth Of Suicide Attempts In The Last Four Weeks”

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The End of the American Dream.

Locking down much of the country may have helped to “flatten the curve” a bit, but it has also had some very serious consequences that public health officials did not anticipate.  Humans were created to be social creatures, and forcing us to isolate ourselves from one another for weeks on end has turned out to be quite problematic.

This has especially been true for those that live alone.  Today, the U.S. has a higher percentage of one-person households than ever before, and keeping those individuals totally isolated in their own homes is not that different from putting prison inmates in solitary confinement for an extended period of time.  In both cases, it can be just a matter of time before people mentally break.

Even before this pandemic came along, the suicide rate in the United States was already soaring, and now the number of suicides is spiking like we have never seen before.  Just consider what Dr. Mike deBoisblanc of John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, California says is happening in his area

“We’ve never seen numbers like this, in such a short period of time,” he said. “I mean we’ve seen a year’s worth of suicide attempts in the last four weeks.”

And suicide helplines all over America are seeing an enormous increase in the number of people calling in…

Many crisis centers are reporting 30% to 40% increases in the number of people seeking help. The helpline at Provident is experiencing a tenfold increase compared with this time last year, when no national disaster was occurring.

In addition to being isolated in their own homes, Americans have also been bombarded by endless coverage of this pandemic by the mainstream media, and this has definitely helped to fuel a lot of anxiety

In all, 66% are watching and consuming more news than ever before, which is particularly puzzling considering that 68% also admitted that COVID-19 coverage gives them considerable anxiety. It’s not just anxiety either; 65% said they feel overwhelmed by coronavirus news, 56% just get plain angry, 67% feel burnt out, 59% experience fearfulness, and 50% can’t help but feel hopeless after hearing the nightly news.

And of course Americans are not just watching more news than ever before.  According to Comcast, the average U.S. household has actually been watching 66 hours of TV a week during this pandemic…

New research from telecomms firm Comcast has revealed viewing time has soared as a result, with households watching an extra eight-plus hours of TV each week – equivalent to the time spent on a full days’ work shift.

This means the average household now watches 66 hours of TV a week, up from 57 hours a week in early March.

Watching endless hours of television is one of the worst possible things that you can do for your mental health.

If you put garbage into your mind, you are going to get garbage out.

And allowing the corporate media elite to endlessly feed hour after hour of “programming” directly into your mind is incredibly self-destructive.

In addition to binge-watching television, many Americans have also been dealing with this crisis by turning to drugs and alcohol

Findings by The Recovery Village, a Florida-based network of addiction treatment facilities, reflect an “expected” increase in substance use during the pandemic, with Americans reporting a 55% rise in alcohol consumption in the last month. When it came to illicit drugs, 36% of Americans reported increased use of marijuana and prescription opioids, among others.

Needless to say, this is more self-destructive behavior that is just going to fuel even more anxiety, depression, and despair.

Yes, this pandemic has been bad.  There have been more than 1.7 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the United States so far, and about 100,000 Americans have died.

But this isn’t the worst thing that we are going to face.  In fact, it isn’t even close.

So if we can’t handle what is happening right now, how in the world are we going to be able to handle what is coming?

The good news is that this pandemic is causing a lot of people to wake up and reflect on what really matters.

Prior to COVID-19, a lot of Americans were living for their careers.  But this crisis has demonstrated how rapidly those jobs can disappear.  There is absolutely no loyalty in the corporate world today, and most corporations will not hesitate to lay off workers once they start bleeding money.  At this point, more than 38 million Americans have already lost their jobs, and more job losses are coming in the weeks and months ahead.

Other Americans were living for the pleasures of this life before this pandemic came along.  But now bars, clubs, and movie theaters all over the country have been shut down, professional sports leagues have been paralyzed, and this virus has even transformed dating into a hazard that many people simply don’t want to deal with.

So many of the things that we once valued so highly have been taken away, and maybe that is precisely what we needed.  Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan created quite an uproar when he made this point very strongly on Instagram…

“Word up, can you handle the truth my brother only love HH,” wrote Hogan, who has 1.5 million followers on Instagram. “In three short months, just like He did with the plagues of Egypt, God has taken away everything we worship.

“God said, ‘you want to worship athletes, I will shut down the stadiums. You want to worship musicians, I will shut down Civic Centers. You want to worship actors, I will shut down theaters. You want to worship money, I will shut down the economy and collapse the stock market. You don’t want to go to church and worship Me, I will make it where you can’t go to church.

“‘If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

I couldn’t have said it better myself.  I wrote an entire book urging people to start focusing on what really matters, because true hope will not be found in the temporal things that the world is constantly chasing.

And it has definitely been encouraging to hear that many young people have taken this crisis as an opportunity to start thinking about spiritual issues more

A majority of teens and young adults say they are praying more or thinking about spiritual issues more than they were prior to the coronavirus pandemic, according to a new survey.

The poll of 800 high school students and 800 post-secondary students found that 67 percent said they’re either praying more often or thinking about spiritual issues more compared to the time before the virus.

There is hope, but it won’t be found on a television screen, at the bottom of a bottle or at the end of a needle.

So please don’t give up.  Despite all of the craziness in our world today, the best chapters of your life can still be ahead of you.

But if you keep feeding your mind endless hours of media “programming” and you keep chasing the things that they tell you to chase, all that is ahead of you is more pain, more anxiety, more depression, and more despair.

America Anger civil unrest Commentary frustration Intelwars Moral Crisis Politics

America Has Become A Powder Keg

Have you noticed that people are a lot more emotional these days?  People are angry about the lockdowns, people are angry because others are not “properly” observing the social distancing rules, people are angry about losing their jobs, people are angry about the shortages in the stores, and more than anything else people are angry at our politicians.  Even before COVID-19 came along, I was repeatedly warning my readers that anger was rising to a very dangerous level in this country, and now this pandemic has made things far worse.  If you doubt this, just log on to Facebook and read some of the “discussions” that people are having about this coronavirus.  Many of those “discussions” rapidly devolve into venom spewing contests, and sometimes this is still true even if people are theoretically on the same side.  There is so much anger and frustration out there right now, and it is only going to get worse the closer that we get to election day.

Thankfully, so far we don’t have the sort of widespread civil unrest that we are already seeing in other nations, but the stage is certainly being set for it.  The American people don’t like being forced to put their lives on hold, they don’t like all of the new rules that have been forced upon them because of this pandemic, and they are deeply frustrated with our politicians for being unable to instantly fix things.

Of course there aren’t going to be any easy answers.  The U.S. economy has already lost 33 million jobs, and millions more will be lost in the weeks ahead.  Meanwhile, more than 76,000 Americans have already died from the coronavirus, and the overall death toll in this country is likely to be in the hundreds of thousands.

In an environment such as this, people are going to have shorter fuses than usual, and it isn’t going to take much to get people to lash out in frustration.  One of the most prominent examples of this that we have witnessed lately occurred in Austin, Texas

Austin police have arrested a man who allegedly pushed a park ranger into a lake.

The incident occurred on Thursday at Commons Ford, a public park that is home to Lake Austin, and was captured on a video posted on social media. In the video, a park ranger is seen standing near the lake’s edge telling a crowd of people to stand six feet apart when a man pushes the ranger into the water and falls in himself.

It is quite foolish to push a law enforcement officer into a lake, but the social distancing restrictions are frustrating people so much that many of them are not thinking rationally.

And in this environment it certainly isn’t going to take much to push law enforcement officials over the edge either.  Americans were stunned when video footage emerged of New Jersey police officers relentlessly beating young men with their batons for violating the social distancing rules…

Footage from a street fight on Tuesday afternoon shows a Jersey City police officer – who is white – repeatedly hitting a man – who is African American – while he’s pinned to the ground, and now activists are calling for the cops to be fired.

The clip filmed by a witness captured the man trying to raise his arms to protect his face as the law enforcement officer strikes him over and over again.

Sadly, I expect to see a lot more wild scenes in our streets like that in the months ahead.

Right now, virtually the entire country is in a really bad mood, and unfortunately some people will choose to resort to violence.

And it can happen in places that you might not expect.  For instance, an argument over social distancing rules at a McDonald’s in Oklahoma resulted in three people getting shot

Three workers at an Oklahoma City McDonald’s were injured Wednesday by gunfire and a scuffle that appeared to have started because the restaurant’s dining area was closed for social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic, police said.

I’ll never understand why people commit these sorts of acts of senseless violence.

But as our world gets even crazier, more people than ever are going to be going off the deep end.

Our nation is so deeply divided, and explosions of anger and hatred are becoming increasingly common.  So many Americans are willing to “shoot first and ask questions later”, and the shooting of a 25-year-old African-American man in Georgia is causing a national uproar

Ahmaud Arbery was fatally shot while running in a neighborhood after a former police officer and his son chased the 25-year-old man down, telling officers later that they thought he looked like the suspect in a series of recent break-ins in the area, authorities said.

On Thursday, we learned that the father and son that chased Arbery down have been arrested.  But even though they have been arrested now, it appears that this case will deepen the very deep racial tensions that already exist in this country.

I truly wish that we could all learn how to love one another, but instead I continue to see hatred rise all over America.

Needless to say, one of the big reasons why Americans hate one another these days is because of politics.  November is right around the corner, and we will likely see tremendous outbursts of anger and frustration both before and after the election.

Meanwhile, economic conditions will continue to deteriorate, and millions of Americans will become increasingly desperate.

Already, meat shortages are making headlines all over the nation

Farmers and ranchers have hogs, cattle and chicken that they feed, but can’t sell. Meatpacking plants don’t have enough workers as they get sick and have heightened anxiety. And grocery shoppers and restaurants can’t get their typical cuts or supply of meat.

Major grocers, including Kroger and Costco, added purchase limits this week for meat to prevent hoarding and help keep it in stock. Nearly a fifth of Wendy’s U.S. restaurants removed hamburgers and other beef products from their online menus, according to Stephens Inc. And another chain, Shake Shack, said rising beef prices have taken a bite into its profits.

Many Americans can deal with short-term shortages, but if these shortages stretch into the summer months a whole lot of people are going to become extremely frustrated.

Overall, I have never seen so much anger and frustration in the United States in my entire lifetime, and it is truly a recipe for disaster.

Unfortunately, I expect anger and frustration to continue to grow in the months ahead, and we could be building up to a very dangerous crescendo later in the year.

America Constitution COVID-19 Death Fear Headline News Intelwars killing people lock down lost freedom Martial Law muzzle protesters no knock raids pandemic panic Police State POVERTY quarantine restrictions right to assemble starvation SWAT tyranny wake up

Your Freedoms Don’t Have to Be Muzzled Just Because You’re Wearing a Mask

This article was originally published by John W. Whitehead at The Rutherford Institute.

“If 2019 was the year of the street protest, of tear gas and rubber bullets, 2020 might be the year the street protest died, or perhaps fell into a deep sleep, and went online.”—Journalist Christopher Miller

Despite all appearances to the contrary, martial law has not been declared in America. We still have rights. Technically, at least.

The government may act as if its police state powers suppress individual liberties during this COVID-19 pandemic, but for all intents and purposes, the Constitution—especially the battered, besieged Bill of Rights—still stands in theory, if not in practice.

Indeed, while federal and state governments have adopted specific restrictive measures in an effort to lock down the nation and decelerate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the current public health situation has not resulted in the suspension of fundamental constitutional rights such as freedom of speech and the right of assembly.

Mind you, that’s not to say that the government has not tried its best to weaponize this crisis as it has weaponized so many other crises in order to expand its powers and silence its critics.

All over the country, government officials are using COVID-19 restrictions to muzzle protesters.

It doesn’t matter what the protest is about (church assemblies, the right to work, the timing for re-opening the country, discontent over police brutality, etc.): this is an activity the First Amendment protects vociferously with only one qualification—that it be peaceful.

Yet even peaceful protesters mindful of the need to adhere to social distancing guidelines because of this COVID-19 are being muzzled, arrested, and fined.

For example, a Maryland family was reportedly threatened with up to a year in jail and a $5000 fine if they dared to publicly protest the injustice of their son’s execution by a SWAT team.

If anyone had a legitimate reason to get out in the streets and protest, it’s the Lemp family, whose 21-year-old son Duncan was gunned down in his bedroom during an early morning, no-knock SWAT team raid on his family’s home.

Imagine it.

It was 4:30 a.m. on March 12, 2020, in the midst of a COVID-19 pandemic that has most of the country under a partial lockdown and sheltering at home, when this masked SWAT team—deployed to execute a “high risk” search warrant for unauthorized firearms—stormed the suburban house where 21-year-old Duncan, a software engineer and Second Amendment advocate, lived with his parents and 19-year-old brother.

The entire household, including Lemp and his girlfriend, was reportedly asleep when the SWAT team directed flash-bang grenades and gunfire through Lemp’s bedroom window.

Lemp was killed and his girlfriend injured.

No one in the house that morning, including Lemp, had a criminal record.

No one in the house that morning, including Lemp, was considered an “imminent threat” to law enforcement or the public, at least not according to the search warrant.

Now, what was so urgent that militarized police felt compelled to employ battlefield tactics in the pre-dawn hours of a day when most people are asleep in bed, not to mention stuck at home as part of a nationwide lockdown?

According to police, they were tipped off that Lemp was in possession of “firearms.”

So instead of approaching the house by the front door at a reasonable hour in order to investigate this complaint—which is what the Fourth Amendment requires—police instead strapped on their guns, loaded up their flash-bang grenades, and acted like battle-crazed warriors.

This is the blowback from all that military weaponry flowing to domestic police departments.

This is what happens when you use SWAT teams to carry out routine search warrants.

This is what happens when you adopt red flag gun laws, which Maryland did in 2018, painting anyone who might be in possession of a gun—legal or otherwise—as a threat that must be neutralized.

These red flag gun laws allow the police to remove guns from people merely suspected of being threats.

While in theory, it appears perfectly reasonable to want to “stop dangerous people before they act,” where the problem arises is when you put the power to determine who is a potential danger in the hands of government agencies, the courts, and the police.

Remember, this is the same government that uses the words “anti-government,” “extremist” and “terrorist” interchangeably.

This is the same government whose agents are spinning a sticky spider-web of threat assessments, behavioral sensing warnings, flagged “words,” and “suspicious” activity reports using automated eyes and ears, social media, behavior sensing software, and citizen spies to identify potential threats.

This is the same government that keeps re-upping the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which allows the military to arrest and detain American citizens with no access to friends, family or the courts if the government believes them to be a threat.

This is the same government that has a growing list—shared with fusion centers and law enforcement agencies—of ideologies, behaviors, affiliations, and other characteristics that could flag someone as suspicious and result in their being labeled potential enemies of the state.

Let that sink in a moment.

If you believe in and exercise your rights under the Constitution (namely, your right to speak freely, worship freely, associate with like-minded individuals who share your political views, criticize the government, own a weapon, demand a warrant before being questioned or searched, or any other activity viewed as potentially anti-government, racist, bigoted, anarchic, or sovereign), you are most likely at the top of the government’s terrorism watch list.

Moreover, as a New York Times editorial warns, you may be an anti-government extremist (a.k.a. domestic terrorist) in the eyes of the police if you are afraid that the government is plotting to confiscate your firearms, if you believe the economy is about to collapse and the government will soon declare martial law, or if you display an unusual number of political and/or ideological bumper stickers on your car.

Needless to say, if you happen to be passionate about the Constitution and a vocal critic of government corruption, you’ve already been flagged in a government database somewhere.

Likely, Lemp was, too.

Now Lemp is dead and his family is devastated, outraged, and desperate to make sense of what appears to be an insensible act of violence resulting in an inexcusable loss of life.

As usual in these kinds of shootings, government officials have not been forthcoming with details about the shooting: police have refused to meet with family members, the contents of the warrant supporting the raid have not been revealed, and bodycam footage of the raid has not been disclosed.

So in order to voice their objections to police violence and demand answers about the shooting, Lemp’s family and friends planned to conduct an outdoor public demonstration—adhering to social distancing guidelines—only to be threatened with arrest, a year in jail and a $5000 fine for violating Maryland’s stay at home orders.

Yet here’s the thing: we don’t have to be muzzled and remain silent about government corruption, violence and misconduct just because we’re wearing masks and social distancing.

That’s not the point of this whole COVID-19 exercise, or is it?

While there is a moral responsibility to not endanger other lives with our actions, that does not mean relinquishing all of our freedoms.

Be responsible in how you exercise your freedoms, but don’t allow yourselves to be muzzled or your individual freedoms to be undermined.

Understandably, no one wants to talk about individual freedoms when tens of thousands of people the world over are dying, and yet we must.

The decisions we make right now—about freedom, commerce, free will, how we care for the least of these in our communities, what it means to provide individuals and businesses with a safety net, how far we allow the government to go in “protecting” us against this virus, etc.—will haunt us for a long time to come.

At times like these, when emotions are heightened, fear dominates, common sense is in short supply, liberty takes a backseat to public safety, and democratic societies approach the tipping point towards mob rule, there is a tendency to cast those who exercise their individual freedoms (to freely speak, associate, assemble, protest, pursue a living, engage in commerce, etc.) as foolishly reckless, criminally selfish, or outright villains.

Sometimes that is true, but not always.

As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, there is always a balancing test between individual freedoms and the communal good.

What we must figure out is how to strike a balance that allows us to protect those who need protecting without leaving us chained and in bondage to the police state.

We must find ways to mitigate against this contagion needlessly claiming any more lives and crippling any more communities, but let’s not lose our heads: blindly following the path of least resistance—acquiescing without question to whatever the government dictates—can only lead to more misery, suffering and the erection of a totalitarian regime in which there is no balance.

If You Want To Be Free, Stop Complying With Tyranny

America Best case scenario Coronavirus COVID-19 Covid-19 deaths Dr. antthony fauci Dr. deborah birx Intelwars

White House Coronavirus Task Force’s Dr. Deborah Birx says 100,000 to 200,000 dead Americans is best-case scenario

Dr. Deborah Birx — White House Coronavirus Task Force response coordinator — issued a grim warning to Americans concerned over the COVID-19 pandemic: The best-case scenario for the coronavirus outbreak is 100,000 to 200,000 dead Americans.

Birx, who
appeared on NBC’s “Today” Monday, intimated that there are dark days ahead if Americans don’t comply with social distancing measures and more.

What did she say?

During the interview, Birx expressed her concern for Americans.

“I think everyone understands now that you can go from five to 50 to 500 to 5,000 cases very quickly,” she added. “We’re very worried about every city in the United States and for the potential for this virus to get out of control.

“If we do things together well, almost perfectly, we could get in the range of 100,000 to 200,000 fatalities,” she later said. “We don’t even want to see that.”

“Today” host Savannah Guthrie was taken aback, and asked Birx about the best-case scenario.

Guthrie interrupted, “You kind of take my breath away with that — because what I hear you say is that’s sort of the best-case scenario if everything works and people do the things you’re asking them to do, maybe you can hold the deaths to one to 200,000.”

“The best-case scenario would be 100 percent of Americans doing what is required,” Birx responded, but suggested, however, that the death toll could be much higher as the White House isn’t “sure all of America is responding in a uniform way.”

Birx added that without extreme preventative measures, the death toll could easily hit more than 2 million.

What else?

On Sunday, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases,
said that

the overall American death toll could hit the hundreds of thousands.

“[L]ooking at what we’re seeing now, I would say between 100,000 and 200,000 [deaths],” Fauci said.

“We’re going to have millions of cases.”

Fauci added that while it’s “possible” 1 million Americans could die because of COVID-19, it’s “very, very unlikely.”

At the time of this writing,143,532 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the United States. At least 2,572 have died.

Following Birx’s Monday remarks, Fauci said he “wouldn’t be surprised” if there were 100,000 American deaths.

“I don’t want to see it, I’d like to avoid it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw 100,000 deaths,” he admitted.

Two Hundred and Thirty Years of Rights and Liberties Shredded: Why I Oppose The Lockdown

This op-ed article was originally published by Brandon Turbeville at Activist Post.

Although it was nearly twenty years ago, I can remember 9/11 like it was yesterday. I remember the shock of hearing about the planes crashing into towers, at first believing it was a tragic accident and quickly learning it to be otherwise. I remember being told that 19 hijackers, part of a fundamentalist plot to destroy America, were behind the attacks and that the mastermind was a man in a cave in Afghanistan named Osama bin Laden.

As all of America was glued to their television screens, many rushed out to give blood in an effort to at least do something to help one another. George W. Bush’s answer for Americans was to go to work and then go out and shop. Americans dutifully complied. But the government’s answer, in tandem with mainstream media, was also to be afraid. Very afraid. Americans also complied with this request, perhaps more than any other.

In the days and weeks after the initial shock, a college professor informed me about a bill called the PATRIOT ACT that would essentially eviscerate much of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. After class, I questioned him further about the bill, which he explained, and suggested that if I really wanted to understand what was happening, I should read 1984 by George Orwell. I went home and did just that and was surprised to learn that not only was he right, but that I was watching what I was reading happen in front of me in real life.

I watched as the fear of speaking your mind and saying certain words became known as freedom. I watched as Americans came to assume that their communications were listened to, frightened of what they said, but justifying it as they praised their country for being unlike the totalitarian governments of the past. Peace became war. Any suggestion that invading Afghanistan was wrong was unpatriotic. In fact, any criticism of the government was considered unpatriotic and anyone who valued freedom over temporary security was borderline a traitor.

I watched as the United States became The Homeland and I watched as my friends had their window busted out of their car because they did not have one of those ridiculous window flags.

Still, shortly after the event itself, I began speaking out against the erosion of our Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I questioned the official story of 9/11 and fought against the passage of the PATRIOT ACT. In those days, anyone who did either of these things was considered either woefully ignorant and naive or a traitor who was giving moral support to the enemy.

I spoke out after 9/11 and was largely alone with a few notable exceptions. I was forced to watch the majority of my fellow Americans give away the most precious thing they had, the things which no other country could lay claim to, and the thing that they claimed they were supporting war to protect. America gave away a huge chunk of its rights in the wake of 9/11 and, though they were promised the measures were only temporary, twenty years on we have never received them back.

Instead, police officers are now often indistinguishable from military soldiers, the United States is still in Afghanistan as well as Iraq, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Ukraine, and a host of theatres across the world where its undefinable “interests” apparently lie. It is now a foregone conclusion that cellphone, internet, and all other communications are monitored. It is well understood that the iron fist of the state can come down with a lack of due process and the Second Amendment is under daily attack. Torture is now general practice for foreign and domestic arrestees.

Now, here we are close to twenty years later. Americans once again have a shadowy nemesis for which our government has once again failed to provide adequate information. Once again, the governmental response is not a robust rethinking of how we got to be where we are, (in this case how medical care is provided, who has access to it, or the overarching philosophy behind it), but a massive police state, quasi martial law, and the evisceration of what is left of the liberties and rights they didn’t give away twenty years ago or give away gradually in the time between.

This time, it is not so much the President leading the charge to burn the Constitution, but Governors all across the country, acting in concert with one another. But they aren’t acting alone. Because of the massive propaganda mouthpiece of the mainstream media blasting hysteria and panic as well as the desired conclusions they intend for their audiences to reach, many Americans are demanding that their rights be taken away and that they and their fellow citizens be forced off the streets and into their homes at gunpoint.

My opposition to the potential Lockdown is twofold but principally it is based on the fact that over two hundred and thirty years of rights and liberties should not be shredded on the basis of any threat, real or imagined. Americans either have rights or we don’t. There is no asterisk in the Constitution that states the Bill of Rights is null and void in the event of a terrorist attack or a virus outbreak. If we do not maintain our rights in a time of crisis, then, simply put, we do not truly have rights at all.

If we do not maintain these rights, our country, such as it is, ceases to exist.

As Peter Hitchens, one of the few critics of this Lockdown mentality (happening all over the world and, in his case, Britain) wrote in his recent article for the Mail Online,

All the crudest weapons of despotism, the curfew, the presumption of guilt and the power of arbitrary arrest, are taking shape in the midst of what used to be a free country. And we, who like to boast of how calm we are in a crisis, seem to despise our ancient hard-bought freedom and actually want to rush into the warm, firm arms of Big Brother.

Hitchens’ article is well worth reading, not only for his views but for his critique of the scale of the pandemic, which is highly questionable.

Secondly, we are quickly driving this country to a second Great Depression where unemployment is at levels never before seen and where only the 1% and the major banks have anything resembling wealth. This Depression will be so devastating that it will make the first look weak in comparison, not just because of employment but because of the real human toll after decades of globalism, Free Trade, and urbanization have gutted this country of its workforce, manufacturing, healthcare, education, production capabilities, and general living standards. With more Americans living urban lives and fewer and fewer farms by the day, the Second Great Depression will kill many more people than the virus and leave those left alive scrounging for crumbs at the bottom. Already, since the beginning of this virus emergency, we have witnessed a huge transfer of wealth from the lower classes to the higher and we will no doubt witness more as this insane Lockdown attempt continues.

After the Lockdown passes, Americans will complain about low wages and lack of work. They will wait in lines for benefits that may or may not exist and that will be lower than their current living standards require. Unlike the loss of their rights, the benefits will be temporary. But Americans won’t be able to fully blame Wall Street this time around since it was the media and the people who listen to it who were howling in the streets for Lockdowns and shutdowns. They will have gotten what they wanted as well as the opportunity to live to regret it.

So here I am, twenty years after a writing career began as a result of generally good people who were frightened into giving away their rights, writing about exactly the same thing yet again. Of course, there may be time to reverse the direction in which we are heading. The next few weeks will most likely determine that matter. One thing is for certain, however, if Americans give up their rights now, they will never get them back.

I don’t have any illusions about the effect this article will have on the direction we are heading as a nation. Instead, I expect it to bring about more criticism, more insults, and more claims that I am no longer “credible” as the propaganda repeaters seen on the major cable networks are credible. But it will be worth it, for no other reason than to register my voice so that, for the record, there was at least a few people who retained their sanity through this worldwide era of panic and did not willingly sacrifice his rights on the altar of fear.

If we are able to step back from the abyss, perhaps the “credibility” and respect that I lose from peers as a result of this article will someday be returned. But if we are not able to step back, I can’t imagine anyone will be able to remember anything I’ve said here and, if that is the case, it probably wouldn’t matter if they did.

Back To Work By End Of March? Kudlow Pushes To Reopen Economy In Non-“Hot-Zones”

This article was originally published by Tyler Durden at ZeroHedge.

As Bob Luddy writes in The Spectator, “America has no choice [but to reopen for business soon] if it is to avoid total disaster…”

China and Russia are open for business and working at close to capacity, as America shutters most businesses and industries in states such as Pennsylvania, New York, California, New Jersey, and Connecticut. In many cases only select manufacturing companies are allowed to operate, which means most manufacturers will be short of parts and services necessary to produce goods.

Our leaders are creating an economic crisis and a major national security risk with limited data. The cure is far worse than any perceived impact by COVID-19. Our economy is both fragile and interdependent, an economic reality not understood by our leaders as they order mass closings of many states’ business and industry.

Thomas Sowell wrote, “There are no solutions. There are only tradeoffs.” Sowell was informing us that wise and sound judgments are imperative during any crisis.

An opinion piece by John P. A. Ioannidis, professor of medicine, epidemiology, and population health at Stanford University, is headlined, “A fiasco in the making? As the coronavirus pandemic takes hold, we are making decisions without reliable data.”

This season the flu has killed 22,000 Americans versus 388 dead from COVID-19. This the hard data available. There has been no national discussion about the flu but complete panic on the coronavirus.

The restaurant industry, which is the largest employer in America, is closed in most states. Now we will begin to witness the industries that support restaurants and hotels begin to shutter.

Marriott Corporate in Bethesda, Maryland, has furloughed 66 percent of its employees and cut the pay of the remaining employees by 20 percent. Such actions by major employers will have a devastating impact on the U.S. economy.

The Big Three automakers and their suppliers are closed, which means hundreds of thousands of workers are laid off and at home. This will quickly lead to more layoffs and many small business failures. There is no amount of government money that can make up for an economy closed and workers staying home.

We all know that food and supplies are critical to families. Most individuals assume these products and services will be available. But as we have witnessed, when demand exceeds supply and businesses are shuttered, supply runs out.

Supply of goods and services is quickly becoming a more important national issue than the COVID-19 panic. The virus will not adversely impact most Americans, but they will sustain substantial financial losses and at some point supplies will run out.

Schools can shut down, and sick people should stay home, along with older or at-risk individuals, until the panic subsides, but the healthy must be allowed to work.

Every family, state, city, and business can make the best decisions during this crisis, but we cannot have simplistic top-down mandates.

We are quickly moving toward a supply problem. Just-in-time inventory means we make products as needed. If the producers are closed, we run out of goods quickly.

Wiring $3,000 to most Americans may seem like a solution, but unless we have a supply of the goods families need, the money will not help. The best way for families to have income is for America to be open for business and not risk shortages and civil unrest. It is noteworthy that liquor, ammo, and guns sales are robust.

The federal government has no money and is $23 trillion in debt. Now Congress contemplates a $2 trillion economic bailout, which is pushing the limits of how much Congress can borrow and will eventually create a major financial meltdown. The solution is a robust economy producing goods, services, and financial stability.

All healthy Americans who want to work must be allowed to return to work no later than March 30. This common-sense approach will allow new production and for the healthy to support those in need.

I urge our President Trump to speak to Americans from a Midwest manufacturing plant, away from the Swamp, and appeal to all governors and Americans to overcome their fears and take reasonable precautions, but allow America to open for business by March 30.

*  *  *

And it seems Luddy’s cries (among many others) have been heard as White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow tells Fox Business that the Trump administration will take a look around the end of this week at areas of the economy that may be safe enough to reopen.

Kudlow said that, in consultation with health experts, the administration would look at where it’s possible to open places that aren’t “hot zones” in order to expand business reach, adding that “a declining economy is unhealthy.”

“There’s no question we have to think seriously. I would say, after the 15-day period is over, which I guess ends after this weekend, we will take another look at targeting areas that are safe enough,” Kudlow told FOX Business’ Stuart Varney.

“A lot of people in business and finance, small business people too, that’s very important, have called us and talked to us to see if we could liberalize and perhaps target more and stop as many shutdowns as we have,” Kudlow said.

That doesn’t mean we’re going to leave social distancing, that doesn’t mean we’re going to walk away from the mitigating advice that we’ve received from our health specialists. It just means we’re going to take a slightly different look at this.”

“We’ve just got to make sure our businesses stay alive as much as possible”

Kudlow said Trump is interested in doing “something in the next couple of weeks.”

OUT OF GOLD: Severe Shortfall – Market RESUSCITATION FAILS!

This article was originally published by Lior Gantz at The Wealth Research Group.

Soldiers, Police, FEMA – Essentially, Martial Law

The markets are open, the banks are functioning, food is there for the average American to purchase, for the most part, and the Covid-19 is getting ALL of the attention on the municipal, state and, of course, the federal level. Still, we’ve just SUFFERED the steepest-ever MARKET CRASH that America has ever had to endure.

The chart below shows the comparison with the 20th and 21st centuries’ most APOCALYPTIC bear markets and nothing even comes close to this one!

We are living in the most DISRUPTIVE RESET since WW1. In wartime, in contrast to the ECONOMIC SUICIDE we’re imposing on ourselves, the economic machine still functions.

In a SUPER-DEFLATION, everyone is just sitting on cash, selling any asset that is liquid, cutting all non-essential expenses and barely making it by. In this scenario, the potential for RIOTING and for SOCIAL DISORDER is realistic.

Millions of people have either lost a bloody fortune, lost a loved one, lost their job, lost their clients, been forced to stay at your home without the ability to pay the bills or, WORSE yet, have been left DESTITUTE.

Look at this horrific market crash:

Courtesy: Zerohedge.com

It would be suicidal to buy the dip in a meaningful way now. There’s NO RUSH at all. The markets have given back a lot, but with NO MATERIAL PROGRESS on an approved drug to treat the virus, no VACCINE on the horizon, more SHUTDOWNS announced (NYC, California, Chicago, Baltimore, Italy, regions of China, Israel, Spain, France and The Netherlands), the most important ECONOMIC POSITIVE event would be to see the community spread DIMINISH, so we can start getting back to routine.

Right now, there are no signs of that occurring.

In fact, if anything, we’re seeing clothing manufacturers turning into mask producers. We’re seeing companies RE-FITTING their floors to produce ventilators, hospital beds and all the essentials needed to make sure the healthcare system is ready for the population at large to step back out and live normal lives, with the notion that most will contract the disease and get treatment.

Unless a GAME-CHANGER catalyst surfaces by way of a drug, the federal government is “buying time,” stalling until it can’t quarantine anymore and must allow the people to resume their routine, even if it’s a new one.

As you can see below, even though this has been a CATASTROPHE, more EMERGENCIES could be on the horizon, since this biological and medical crisis is actually ESCALATING. We’re learning that the younger generation is certainly NOT IMMUNE, as was previously believed.

Courtesy: Zerohedge.com

Since many of us are confined to our homes, it’s difficult to TRULY COMPREHEND the daily struggle of the Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank to keep the credit market OPEN.

There’s an ACUTE shortage of buyers, even for T-bills. I’m 100% CONVINCED that President Trump is concocting a plan for a massive 50-yr bond with 0% interest and, if there’s not SUFFICIENT demand for it, Jerome Powell will shove that bond onto his balance sheet, which is already a SICK JOKE.

This fiat monetary system is such an illusory concept, which works mostly because of the reluctance to come up with better solutions – since there ARE NONE – that don’t require a gold standard, and politicians certainly HATE THAT IDEA.

On Friday, I made the rounds, calling the most trusted bullion dealers in America, some of them close contacts of mine; I’m going to CAPITALIZE on the disparity and POLARITY between the TOTALLY FAKE paper ETFs and the BULLSHIT spot price and the real price that silver is BIDDING online and with the dealers. Silver Eagles sell for over $20/coin, while spot is around $12!

Personally, I’m using the options market to do this.

In short, my analysis is that with the disruption to supply chains and the mandated closures of mines, which will then take MONTHS to re-open, the price of silver will be so much HIGHER than what’s shown on the COMEX.

Courtesy: Zerohedge.com

I believe a DEFLATION HURRICANE like this will birth a totally new global financial culture, as 1987, 2000 and 2008 have done prior to this.

The recently-approved RESCUE PACKAGE is worth $2 trillion, which is a FREAKY amount. This money will go somewhere, and I estimate that much of it will be devoted to the DE-GLOBALIZATION effort on the part of companies. This means salaries for American workers will rise, demand for raw materials will dramatically expand and inflation will be a huge risk when the entire planet operates on ZIRP and NIRP.

This crash has cost equity losses of $30 trillion, which is NEARLY 135% the size of GDP for the USA. The volatility of this bear market crash and the coming depression is the most severe in history. I’ve been in communications with fund managers, who EXPRESS the concern that DOLLAR demand is putting the system on the brink of derailment.

From the 13th of March, the U.S. dollar has gone up by 9%, which is its most DRAMATIC rally since it was formed!

The reason is because NOTHING is considered safe and I mean NOTHING. Investors even question Washington’s SOLVENCY, as you can see below:

Courtesy: Zerohedge.com

A quarter of a trillion dollars has moved back into money-market accounts. This is a MIND-BOGGLING run on equities of all kinds.

People around the world are sleeping with cash tucked under their pillows, figuratively speaking.

New York City, the world’s most iconic metropolis, will now be under QUASI-martial law. The Army is deployed.

Globally, over one billion people are at home. 85 million Americans are quarantined.

We will defeat the virus, I’m certain of that – but at what cost?

At the start and close of each day, I go over my principles, making sure that the virus and its impact don’t leave a scar on my psyche.

This is what I READ!

NY Governor Call In The National Guard & ORDERS “Containment Zone” For Coronavirus

The governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo has not only called in the National Guard but has ordered a “containment zone” set up for those infected with the coronavirus.  While the mainstream media isn’t using the term “quarantine” it sure paints a similar picture.

Cuomo said he is accepting a recommendation to shut down a one-mile radius in New Rochelle, Westchester County, because of the coronavirus outbreak. He has called on the National Guard to help in the effort to curb the spread of the virus in the suburb just north of New York City.

U.S. Military Prepares For Coronavirus Pandemic

Here’s What’s Coming for America as the Coronavirus Spread: MEDICAL MARTIAL LAW

Cuomo describes New Rochelle as having “a particular problem” with a cluster of cases and contains a much higher number of positive cases than New York City.

He said officials are focusing on a one-mile radius around the center of where the outbreak started and setting up a containment area between March 12 and March 25. –MSN

So far, 36 people have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to reports,  in New York City. Two of those were school bus drivers on Long Island. “This is likely going to get worse before it gets better,” U.S. surgeon general (who doesn’t want the public using face maks) says.

Will A Face Mask REALLY Protect You From The Coronavirus?

The dramatic move is an attempt to stop people from gathering within one mile from the Young Israel of New Rochelle synagogue. Buildings in the area will also be sanitized with the help of the National Guard, which will also assist with the delivery of food. “It is a dramatic action, but it is the largest cluster of cases in the country,” Cuomo said of his decision to call in the military. “The numbers are going up unabated, and we do need a special public health strategy for New Rochelle.”

Cuomo says the focus is not on controlling people, but on the buildings. He said people will be permitted to enter and leave the area, they just cannot “gather” near the aforementioned synagogue. The focus is “not really people, it’s facilities,” he said.

New Rochelle is at the center of an outbreak of more than 108 cases in Westchester County, out of 173 reported statewide as of Tuesday.

America collapse Conspiracy Fact and Theory Coronavirus death toll domestic air travel Emergency Preparedness forced quarantine forced vaccines Headline News hospitals Infections Intelwars Market Crash Police State Predictions Preparedness school closures societal collapse testing numbers

Here’s What’s Coming for America as the Coronavirus Spread: MEDICAL MARTIAL LAW

This article was originally published by Mike Adams at Natural News.

Now that the CDC has invoked its “rule by secrecy” mode by hiding coronavirus testing numbers in order to deceive America (while it quietly “seeds” infected people into the population), it’s abundantly obvious that the coronavirus outbreak in America is going to be used to invoke medical martial law.

There are already thousands of infections across America that have not yet been tested — all by design, of course, as the CDC withheld testing kits from hospitals and local health officials across the country. By our best estimates, there are currently between 5,000 and 10,000 infections in America, mostly along the West Coast (Seattle and Northern California) with new outbreaks taking place in New York City, Miami, Chicago, and other major cities.

Right now, domestic air travel is spreading the virus like crazy, since it spreads during the asymptomatic phase when people don’t even know they’re infected. There is currently no screening of domestic air travelers, and no domestic flight routes have been locked down (although that’s coming soon).

Importantly, the coronavirus has already broken containment in America and is now impossible to contain. It will impact every major city in America.

Here are a few of my predictions for where we’re going with this. So buckle up and get ready, because the coronavirus is coming to a city near you:

#1) Hospitals will be overrun in regions of America – As the exponential growth rates cause an explosion in infection cases, hospital beds that can handle biocontainment demands will quickly be full. We are close to that condition at this very moment, in fact.

#2) Entire cities in America will be placed under quarantine lockdown status: This may take a while to be fully recognized and declared, but it will occur. Once you are caught in quarantine, you will not be allowed to leave, for fear that you might spread the disease to other cities.

#3) School closures will become commonplace: This is already beginning to occur, and the practice will rapidly spread.

#4) Over the coming week, there will be tens of infections confirmed in America: By the end of this week (Sunday night), we should expect somewhere around 100 new cases having been confirmed this week.

#5) Within 30 days, if lab testing is allowed to take place, you will see hundreds of coronavirus infections confirmed in America. Watch for cases to jump to 200, then 500, etc. If the testing is allowed to take place, this is inevitable.

#6) Within 90 days, if the labs are legitimately trying to test everyone they can, you will see thousands of coronavirus infections confirmed in America. By June, in other words, there will be thousands of confirmed infections in America, and possibly over 10,000 by that time.

#7) Unless there’s a miracle intervention, eventually the number of coronavirus infections confirmed in America will exceed 100,000. This is mathematically inevitable, especially with the widespread negligence, incompetence and even criminal maliciousness of federal agencies that are right now telling Americans to NOT prepare. The federal government, of course, may never allow these numbers to see the light of day, since the CDC and the Trump administration now appear to be modeling their response after communist China (basically just lie about everything and hide the truth).

#8) Restrictions on domestic air travel, armed highway checkpoints: Once the quarantines begin, you will see armed roadside checkpoints and domestic air travel restrictions put in place. America will become a medical police state.

#9) Forced vaccines and “show me your papers” police state protocols. Eventually, once the vaccine is rolled out, you will see calls for mandatory vaccines and restrictions on human rights for people who are not vaccinated (no right to hold a job, no right to travel on public transportation, no right to be a parent, etc.). Prepare to be required to carry proof that you’ve been vaccinated. “Show me your papers.”

#10) The near-collapse of entire cities into lawlessness and chaos: Although it might take a year or more for the full extent of the coronavirus pandemic to work its way across the nation, at some point entire cities will seemingly descend into lawlessness and chaos. The U.S. military is already reportedly planning for up to 3.3 million deaths in America as a possible scenario. The quarantines, paycheck losses and the severing of food supply lines will wreak havoc in cities like Seattle and San Francisco, where homelessness and filth are already out of control, even without a pandemic.

Just remember, you are told there’s no need for YOU to prepare, even while the military and government are buying every truckload of emergency supplies they can find.

It’s criminal. When the Surgeon General tells you to STOP buying masks because they don’t work, and then says hospital staffers need all those masks because they DO work, you know he’s lying.

Get prepared with gear, or get ready to die. That about sums it up.

Orange County Declares State of Emergency; Los Angeles Flight Attendant Tests Positive for the Coronavirus

This article was originally published by Mike Adams at Natural News.

Following San Francisco’s state of emergency declaration yesterday, now Orange County has declared a state of emergency due to the coronavirus, reports Fox 11 out of Los Angeles:

Orange County officials declared a local health emergency Wednesday in response to the coronavirus, which has now infected more than 81,000 people worldwide.

Michelle Steel, chair of the County Board of Supervisors, and board Vice Chair Andrew Do made the announcement at an early afternoon
news conference.

She was quick to note “there are no current incidents reported in the county of Orange,” adding yet more confusion to the pattern that an increasing number of cities and counties are declaring emergencies for a global pandemic the entire establishment media claims will never hit America and is no big deal.

Also from Fix 11 LA:

San Diego County officials declared a local emergency in response to the coronavirus on Feb. 14. Officials there stressed that the declaration was not an indication of a greater risk of contracting the virus locally, only an effort to ensure the county was prepared to respond should an outbreak occur.

The CDC has so far tested just 445 people in the entire United States since day one, a number now being tracked in real-time at Pandemic.news, with links to CDC.gov.

Pandemic.news is also putting together a detailed list of public health departments for all 50 states, along with the number of people being tested in those states. The current number for nearly all states is zero.

Prepping For The Coronavirus: Hand Washing Is Vital

CBS News out of Los Angeles is now reporting a Korean Air flight attendant has tested positive for the coronavirus after working the LAX flight route, spanning “several flights” out of LAX.

Before being diagnosed with the coronavirus, she worked:

– A flight from Tel Aviv, Israel to Seoul, South Korea
– Multiple flights from Seoul to LAX

It’s not yet known exactly how many passengers were on those flights, but international flights typically carry 300+ passengers on each flight.

The coronavirus fiasco with the Diamond Princess cruise ship — and its ill-fate evacuation charter flights that spread the infection even further — proves the coronavirus is especially adept at infecting people who share enclosed spaces such as ships or airplanes.

It’s abundantly clear there is an uncontrolled outbreak in California right now, and only 200 people have been tested so far

What we are witnessing here is a steady increase in the number of cities and countries declaring emergencies while claiming there is no emergency.

We are told there are no community outbreaks in California, but according to the state’s Dept. of Health website page on the coronavirus, only “approximately 200 persons have been tested to date.”

Note that California doesn’t even know the exact number, and if it’s anywhere near 200, that’s shockingly small.

More than 8,000 people are currently under self-quarantine in California. Apparently, almost none of them have been tested at all.

It begs the obvious question: How is anyone going to detect coronavirus outbreaks if virtually no one is being tested for the coronavirus in America?
